Rihanna has knocked Justin Bieber off the top spot to become the most viewed artist on YouTube.

The Bajan queen’s new reign was ushered in some time on Tuesday morning (June 18).

The stats are these: The 77 videos on the “Diamonds” singer’s official VEVO channel have notched up 3,784 billion views (plus) in total.

Bieber, previously dominating with the most YouTube views, has 3,782 bilion views (plus) over a total of 79 videos on his official VEVO channel,

The difference between the two megastars is approximately two million views, making Rihanna the most viewed artist on YouTube.

Billboard notes Rihanna’s soared past Bieber’s largely because of her bigger subscriber figures.

The 25-year-old has 8.73 million subscribers on the video-sharing site, which is 3.7 million more than Bieber’s 4.9 million.

In real terms this means ‘Beliebers’ worked harder to get the “Boyfriend” singer his still impressive stats and may mean a coup could soon be in the offing.

However, Rihanna has a much wider reach as an artist and accordingly has more views on her channel.

Over on Facebook Rihanna also trounced Bieber. She has 72.3 million “likes” compared to the Canadian’s 54.3 million “likes” on the platform.

But lets not forget where Bieber is supreme. The 19-year-old stands astride Twitter with over 40 million followers, a first for him and the social media network. The teen heartthob took Lady Gaga’s Twitter crown in January and hasn’t looked back since.

Next on the pecking order for music artists on YouTube is south Korean rapper PSY with 3.1 billion  views, followed by Eminem with 2.4 billion views, Lady Gaga with 2.25 billion views and Shakira at 2 billion.

But if you thought Rihanna’s YouTube might have put her in a good mood, think again.

The pop-R&B star was caught on camera appearing to hit a fan in the face with her microphone when the fan grabbed her arm during a walkabout at her concert in Birmingham, England.

Some of the singers’ fans have since reacted angrily to the incident and compared RiRi’s conduct to Beyonce’s more measured approach when a male fan tapped her posterior at a recent show.

However, there may have been slight mitigation for Rihanna’s behavior. A witness to the incident wrote on Twitter: “[Rihanna] just hit someone with her mic on accident haha oops.”

To which Rihanna replied: “Purpose! That b_h won’t let me go.”

Justin Bieber has sent thank you’s to his fans after winning the Favorite Artist gong at the 2013 MuchMusic Video Awards.

The 19-year-old triumphed in the fan-voted category on Sunday over fellow homegrown contenders Carly Rae-Jepsen, rapper-producer Drake, rockers Marianas Trench and dance titan Deadmau5 for the Fave Artist/Group award at the Psy-hosted Toronto event.

In a message to his over 40 million Twiitter followers, Bieber wrote:

“Love to all the fans at the #mmva’s. wish I could have been there. We won favorite artist so THANK YOU!!! Miss Canada! #muchlove.”

The pop star was also nominated in the Best International Video by a Canadian Artist category for “As Long As You Love Me” featuring Big Sean. Other artists in the slot were Tegan and Sara, Jepsen (again), Walk Off The Earth, but the win eventually went to Avril Lavigne for “Here’s to Never Growing Up.”

Bieber recently returned to his native country for a family celebration last month after wrapping the first leg of his Believe world tour in Johannesburg on May 12.

He heads back out on the road on June 22 with a show at San Diego’s Valley View Casino Center, before continuing through the States and recently added territories, Asia, Latin America, New Zealand and Australia.

Speaking of which, the pop star sent out a general heads up today that pre-sale tickets availability for these will be landing this week.

In other Bieber news, the singer recently teased artwork for his upcoming new single “Heartbreaker,” promising his fans it was “coming soon.” It’s been a while since the January release of Believe Acoustic, and anticipation for fresh sounds from the singer by his fans is more than apparent through the interwebs.

Meanwhile, Rihanna has just overtaken Bieber in the total YouTube views stakes on their official Vevo accounts.

The stats are these: Over a total of 77 videos on the “Diamonds” star’s channel, Rihanna has notched up 3,784,030,789 views.

Bieber, previously dominating with the most YouTube views, has 3,782,989,210 views over a total of 79 videos.

The difference between the two superstars’ YouTube views is 1,041,579 views, making the Bajan princess the most viewed artist on YouTube in the world.

Rihanna retweeted a fan’s message about her new YouTube record to mark her achievement.

It will be interesting to see how Bieber’s ‘Beliebers’ respond to Rihanna’s ‘navy’ gauntlet.

Chris Brown’s latest music video features Aaliyah as a hologram!

Is there a line Chris Brown won’t cross? First it was beating Rihanna right before the awards, and pretty much everything he’s done with her since. Chris Brown just doesn’t seem to be able to behave, even being seen outside a nightclub with her smoking marijuana on the anniversary of the reason it’s illegal for him to do that.

Aaliyah died about a decade ago in a plane crash shortly after filming Romeo Must Die with Jet Li. It was basically a remake of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, but it threw in a story about rival gangs. Oddly enough, the film was practically remade shortly after as Cradle 2 The Grave.

The point is, Aaliyah has been dead for at least a decade, and now Chris Brown has crossed another line by featuring her as a holographic background dancer in his music video for “Don’t Think They Know.”

Can Chris Brown not at least respect the dead? What’s next? Will he feature Michael Jackson and Tupac as holograms too?

In the song, Chris Brown sings about how “they don’t know about us,” and the driver has a giant red lipstick stain on his neck like a hickey. This raises even more real world questions. Is he claiming he cheated on Rihanna with Aaliyah, or the other way around? If so, why would he use her in a hologram dancing to the song? It’s just bad taste, but I don’t think he cares what bad taste is.

After all, he followed up with the music video after a couple of blurbs about gun violence. One says, “Every two hours in America today, a child dies of a gunshot wound.” The next says, “Unity is what we’re afraid of so fear is insanity. Let’s love each other,” and at least he has the presence of mind to not claim he said these things.

However, Chris Brown did still have the audacity to use Aaliyah’s image as a background dancer while he sings about what seems to be cheating.

Have you ever though to yourself, “Gee, Rihanna really ought to cover up?” Then you might be the “Rihanna stapling dresses” vandal/prude who has been stapling actual dresses onto posters of a nearly nude Rihanna around Dublin.

Basically, posters for Rihanna’s “Diamonds” tour show the singer from the waist up completely nude with one breast covered by a strategically-placed arm and the other covered by a strategically-placed logo which reads “unapologetic.”

That says it all, but some random Dubliner apparently feels that the Irish have had their eye-full of the Barbadian beauty.

Several posters have had dresses stapled over Rihanna’s body to cover her up, a strange phenomenon that was picked up by many a Twitter user.

“Somebody has stapled a dress on to this Rihanna poster on Church St. Well done, you complete nutcase,” tweeted director Paul Duane, who included a picture of Rihanna’s new stapling dresses look.

“North King Street, Dublin says a resounding NO to Rihanna’s boobs!” writes Charlene Lydon, along with an image of a separate poster (with a different dress, t’boot).

It’s a strange phenomenon, and thus far, no one has taken credit for the vandalism. Still, I prefer a dressed-up Rihanna to her thonged-and-thigh-highed look made popular by faux-artistic photos on her Instagram account.

Chris Brown is a man with a lot on his mind. The 24-year-old, who reportedly split up from Rihanna nearly a month ago, posted a series of emotional tweets on Friday (June 7).

In recent weeks the singer has been seen in intimate pictures and in public with model and on-off gal pal Karrueche Tran, and he recently complained about his management’s handling of release preparations for upcoming single “They Don’t know” which features the vocals of the late Aaliyah.

Clearly angry about some unspecified drama in his life, the “Fine China” star’s first tweet read:

“Half of y’all hate the skin you’re in. I don’t kiss ass for covers or respect! When u see me speak up! (sic).”

The second was more cryptic:

“See em in public all u hear is crickets!”

The third, existentially blasted:

“Be yourself! Acceptance is trivial. When we die, we die alone! Artist worry about their brand. I worry about supporting my family!”

While the last in the tirade was blunt:

“When people walk with their noses in the air they usually run into s**t!”

The tweets come after Tran was seen perched onstage while Brown sang at Hot 97′sSummer Jam in New York City last Sunday. The pair later dropped by the Pink Elephant nightclub that same night.

According to a source who spoke to Hollywood Life, Brown “chose to be with Karrueche because she’s less dramatic than Rihanna.”

“He got tired of all her crazy ways and her controlling mouth. Karrueche says they use to argue a lot and we all know Chris has a temper. He just dropped her because she was too wild and crazy for him,” the insider added.

Recent Instagrams and tweets sent by Rihanna and Tran suggested the ladies were playing a game of tit-for-tat with increasingly risque pictures posted on their social media accounts.

But if Karrueche isn’t “all hype and crazy” as the source went on to reveal, and Brown chose to walk away from Rihanna, what is he so mad about?

In other Brown news, ahead of the release of his upcoming new album X, the singer has released his version of Mario and Nicki Minaj’s new cut “Somebody Else.”

Brown’s forthcoming album is due out on July 16.

Hopefully he’ll have calmed down by the time he takes on press rounds.

Rihanna has turned heads once again by sporting a red catsuit while out and about in Paris.

The singer isn’t one to shy away from shocking fashion choices. Her body-hugging red suede catsuit should come as no surprise to fans who spend a lot of time on her Instagram page. You can find a picture of the singer and her outfit below.

Rihanna donned the catsuit before meeting up with famed fashion designer Azzedine Alaia. The singer attended a dinner party host by the man she called a “living legend.”

“Had dinner with super cute Mr. Alaia in his kitchen! Moments I’ll [definitely] share with my kids one day!” she said.

While a lot has been said about the catsuit worn by Rihanna at Alaia’s dinner party, the outfit is actually a bit toned down from some of the stuff she’s been known to sport.

Although it hugs every curve and features a plunging neckline, it’s still not as revealing as some of the stuff you can find on her social media accounts. In fact, some might say the catsuit is conservative when compared to her other fashion choices.

Photos of the singer in her skintight outfit arrive just days after she posted an image of her denim thong. Since the image in question gives fans a good look at her butt, it didn’t take very long for it to make the rounds on Twitter.

As we see Rihanna fans sue MAC cosmetics for allegedly contracting herpes from RiRi Woo lipstick at a Rihanna concert, the launch of RiRi Hearts MAC in 2013 is already stuttering.

As previously reported by The Inquisitr, before we saw the Rihanna fans sue MAC cosmetics Rihanna was embroiled in a bitter Twitter feud with Amanda Bynes. But Rihanna gave up on the Twitter feud.

The Rihanna fan suing MAC cosmetics is named Starkeema Greenidge. She was attending a Rihanna concert at the Barclays Center when she saw a MAC RiRi Woo lipstick shop. A MAC representative told the Rihanna fan to “press her lips together and spread the lipstick around.” But what Greenidge did not know was that “[MAC] didn’t use a fresh or new lipstick tube, but rather one that had been used for other patrons,” or so the Rihanna fan’s lawsuit claims.

Greenidge developed herpes on her lips from the incident. “I wasn’t able to work for two weeks. It cost me a lot of money,” Greenidge said. The Rihanna fan is suing because she feels “this is going to happen over and over again if nothing is done.” Starkeema Greenidge is seeking unspecified damages and claiming the herpes has caused her “mental anguish and emotional distress.”

Rihanna has not yet commented on Rihanna fans suing her MAC cosmetics line, but in the past she apparently was deeply involved in decisions:

“I really got to play. There’s so much to choose from, and you can mix different textures with different colors and different greens in different eye shadows. I learned so much about the detail of makeup and what makes things look different. What makes it apply different is really important. Every little detail is important.”

Rihanna is putting an end to her odd Twitter feud with Amanda Bynes.

The fight began when Bynes tweeted at Rihanna that Chris Brown beat her because she’s “not pretty enough.” She also said that she almost named her dog Rihanna. Bynes later went on to call Rihanna a “fugly dog.”

Rihanna promptly responded to Bynes’ impromptu tirade with a timely reference to one of the biggest viral stars of 2012 and 2013, “List of things nobody got time for: 1. That!”

And then she added a snappy, “Ya see what happens when they cancel Intervention?”

Ouch.

Bynes didn’t back down though, and contended that Rihanna is the one who does drugs and needs an intervention. She also alluded to their meeting in 2006.

Now it seems that Rihanna is over the drama and doesn’t want to engage in a Twitter war with Bynes any longer. Asource close to the “Diamonds” singer said that she was “done with all that stupid a** s***” and that she was “getting her coins, selling out shows.”

Well, if that doesn’t put this thing to bed, what will? Of course, no one knows exactly why it even started, but that seems to be irrelevant at this point.

In other Rihanna news, a fan posted a picture of the Bajan singer on Instagram and suggested that she had gained a little weight. The fan also included a side by side comparison of photos from different stops on her “Diamonds World Tour.” Rihanna said that she did gain weight and that she was on a mission to get “thick,” dubbing it “operationThickanna.”

The singer also had a bit controversy attached to her name this week after a fan attending one of her concerts contracted herpes from MAC’s RiRo Woo lipstick. The 28-year-old fan said that she tried on the Rihanna-endorsed cosmetic at her Barclays Center concert, but that the MAC rep didn’t disinfect the lipstick or open a new tube.

Rihanna reportedly loves getting a Brazilian bikini wax.

As far as celebrity rumors go, this one is pretty amusing. The singer supposed stopped by the aptly-named Fuzz Wax Bar in Toronto not too long ago for a touch-up. Instead of using something to numb the pain, Rihanna decided to sit back and let it ride.

“One of our estheticians brought Rihanna the numbing cream but she just laughed. Most women find a Brazilian wax very painful but she just said: ‘No way, I love the pain. It feels good to me,’” one of those celebrity insiders explained.

The conveniently anonymous individual added, “RiRi was escorted to a treatment room with very thin walls and not a scream or squeal was heard. In fact, it sounded like she was enjoying herself. She was singing and humming songs all through the treatment. None of us could stop laughing.”

Naturally, you probably shouldn’t put too much stock into a rumor being passed around by someone who won’t reveal their name. However, the mental image alone makes it stand out from the other outrageous and potentially false rumors about the singer.

Rihanna recently made her way to Istanbul for the next stop on her successful Diamonds tour. The singer arrived in the region on a private yacht, an occasion she marked by flipping off a camera. Nothing says you’ve arrived quite like sticking up both of your middle fingers.

“Rolled up to my show on a yacht!” she tweeted on Thursday. She also used the social media site to apologize to her mother for the rude gesture.

A Harlem woman who tried MAC’s RiRi Woo lipstick at a Rihanna concert is suing the makeup company after she contracted herpes from the used cosmetic.

Starkeema Greenidge was attending a Rihanna concert at the Barclays Center on May 7 when she stopped at a MAC pop-up shop. There, a MAC representative applied a used tube of RiRi Woo to her lips. The rep also told the 28-year-old to “press her lips together and spread the lipstick around,” according to the lawsuit.

“[MAC] didn’t use a fresh or new lipstick tube, but rather one that had been used for other patrons,” the suit alleges.

Two days later, Greenidge developed a cold sore on her lip, which her doctor diagnosed as herpes.

“I wasn’t able to work for two weeks. It cost me a lot of money,” Greenidge said.

Greenidge filed the lawsuit in Mahattan Supreme Court, hoping that it would force the company to use more sanitary practices in the future. She said MAC should train its employees to use swabs or disposable tubes to apply lipstick.

“This is going to happen over and over again if nothing is done,” she said. Greenidge is seeking unspecified damages and claiming that the herpes has caused her “mental anguish and emotional distress.”

MAC has yet to comment on the lawsuit.

Rihanna signed a deal with MAC in February to create her own cosmetics line. RiRi Woo was inspired by the Bajan singer’s favorite red lipstick, Ruby Woo. The release of her line coincided with Rihanna’s “Diamonds World Tour,” which kicked off March 8 in Buffalo and will wrap November 15 in New Orleans. RiRi Woo debuted online on May 2 and sold out in just three hours.

Chris Brown has denied giving false details to a driver after hitting another vehicle in Los Angeles on May 21.

Officials are allegedly investigating whether the “Fine Brown” violated the terms of his probation last week during the road incident.

The 24-year-old was driving his Range Rover with on-off-now-reportedly-on-again girlfriend and model-cum-designer Karrueche Tran in the passenger seat when the accident occurred.

According to a TMZ report, Los Angeles police are following up a claim by the victim of the car crash that Brown was reluctant to hand over his insurance and driver permit details when asked.

The female driver, who has not been named, was driving a Mercedes-Benz.

TMZ reports that Brown “copped an attitude when the woman pressed him for his [information].”

The site also claimed that, when Brown did eventually exchange details, they were false. If this is proven to be true, Brown could be in serious trouble.

The singer remains bound by the terms of his probation sentence, which he was given in 2009 after assaulting his then girlfriend Rihanna.

If Brown is found to have broken his probation, he could face a jail sentence of up to four years.

But in a statement to TMZ, from sources close to the singer, Brown has denied lying about his personal details during the road incident. In addition, TMZ was given a photo of the victim’s car which appears to show no signs of damage.

The sources insist Brown has not been contacted by police, adding: “When his lawyer attempted to contact [the other driver] not long after the accident, she hung up on him.”

Meanwhile, the singer has slammed his management team over their handling of the release of his upcoming single “They Don’t Know,” which features vocals by the late Aaliyah.

The single was supposed to premiere on Monday, May 27 and is a cut from Brown’s forthcoming studio album X, which is slated for release on July 16. The video was shot in L.A. earlier this month.

However, the new single has not yet been released. Brown informed his over 12 million Twitter followers on Monday that the date had been moved, adding the following in a series of seemingly frustrated tweets, some of which have now been deleted.

“My management is so incompetent at times that they don’t communicate. So … Blame these wack n–gas for the release being moved. I’ll keep y[']all posted. They got me looking crazy. Video/single will be released soon. Not gonna tell y’all an exact date becuz I keep getting false info.”

The Amanda Bynes/Rihanna feud on Twitter has taken a predictable twist as Bynes has now stepped forward to claim that her end of the catfight was mocked up. Indeed, Amanda Bynes wants the world — or at least the New York Post — to know that she’s met the infinitely more successful songbird and that Bynes aspires to appear in a video with Rihanna one day.

Good luck with that, honey.

Here’s a small portion of a very extended Twitplus post left on Monday night from Amanda Bynes’ account:

“[I] saw a bunch of mocked up tweets about me bashing Rihanna in my mentions. I’m followed by so many people that someone is always mocking up fake tweets so I feel the need to address them! Rihanna and I met and I’m sure we’ll be in a music video together one day!”

You know, the original intent of Twitter was to put short sound-bytes and one-liners out there that people could scan at a glance. But Amanda Bynes has discovered Twitplus, and there’s no holding her back. In the last couple of days, she has posted extended outbursts accusing an NYPD officer of sexual harassment and false arrest, as well as her own parents of stealing her money. Oh, and she finds time to chat with Drake Bell too.

Last night’s extended rant ended with this:

“My lawyer knows I’m a model citizen who doesn’t partake in drugs. He’s going to court this week to set the record straight again on my behalf. Thankfully I’m an educated multi-millionaire who knows better than to speak to perverted unjust cops without my lawyer.”

I don’t know who her lawyer is, but he’d would probably like to take out a gag order against his own client. I’ve posted a couple of screen captures that I took myself from two of her rants at the bottom of this post just in case those tweets also disappear. Hey, I wouldn’t want to get called out for mocking up anything fake.

Warning: With her acting career in flames, Bynes now plans to become a rapper — and one of the tweets below include the vocabulary commonly used by members of that profession. So if you’re bothered by F-bombs, don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Amanda Bynes and Rihanna are attacking one another in this weeks newest Twitter feud.

Out of the blue on Sunday, Amanda Bynes decided to attack Rihanna with the following tweet:

“@rihanna Chris Brown beat you because you’re not pretty enough.”

Shortly after the tweet was sent, Bynes went ahead and deleted her offensive and grating message but not before screen captures were obtained.

Rihanna for her part went on the offensive and sent out the following Twitter attack of her own:

“Ya see what happens when they cancel Intervention?”

Amanda may have deleted her first tweet, but she wasn’t going to sit by and take Rihanna’s response to her attack. Instead, Amanda Bynes tweets:

“@rihanna unlike ur fugly faced self I don’t do drugs! U need the intervention dog! I met ur ugly face in person! U aren’t pretty u know it!”

Apparently realizing that she didn’t really have an argument for attack Amanda Bynes removed her second tweet a short time later.

The Twitter feud is just yet another seeming part of the Amanda Bynes breakdown. The actress over the last year has been arrested on suspicion of DUI, has posted half nude photos of herself on Twitter, and has been attacked and supported by various members of the Hollywood community.

The earliest reports against Bynes claim she has been doing drugs and talking to herself while at the gym.

For her part, Amanda Bynes has remained vigilant in her own defense, claiming that she has not gone crazy and is simply living her own life as she sees fit.

Amanda Bynes continues to skate by for her actions, but she still faces an uphill legal battle that could help or her the actresses mental stability.

Amanda Bynes and Rihanna aren’t pulling any punches in the low-down dirty dog of a name-calling Twitter war taking place on this formerly peaceful Sunday afternoon. There’s been a certain amount of tweeter’s remorse, and some of the exchange has been deleted, but entertained fans have been happy to supply screenshots and commentary.

The catfight apparently started when Amanda Bynes took aim and called out Rihanna by name in two particularly evil messages:

“@rihanna Chris Brown beat you because you’re not pretty enough,” and “@rihanna nobody wants to be your lover so you call everyone and your mother that I almost named my new dog Rihanna.”

I’m not even sure that the dog message makes any sense. But I’m pretty sure that Bynes is saying that Rihanna is a dog who comes when anybody calls. Isn’t that pretty much the same kind of lowdown dirty garbage that Chris Brown was slinging her way the other day?

It’s a wonder Rihanna continues to hang out at Twitter at all, considering all the haters around.

Be that as it may, Bynes may have regretted the insults, since they appear to be deleted from her feed — but not before fans captured them in their own screenshots which I’ve posted below.

Uh oh. The question of drug use is a pretty sensitive issue right about now with Amanda Bynes, after her very recent marijuana bust, complete with her bald mugshot and the whacky blonde wig that she wore in court. Bynes again fired back with another screed:

I tried to capture that one before Bynes hit delete again but she left it up only about two minutes, so that’s all I’ve got. TMZ saw it too, so they can back me up if Bynes gets in the mood to threaten one of her whackadoo lawsuits.

Some people feel sorry for Bynes, but most observers just broke out the popcorn and had a good laugh:

Rihanna has outdone herself again, as a recent “booty” photo hit the web running of the popular artist wearing a denim thong. When Rihanna isn’t dealing with rumors surrounding Chris Brown, she obviously spends her time coming up with odd ways to upgrade her fashion sense.

The photo started circulating earlier this week and though it only shows her behind, it appears to be the recording artist. Rihanna has a Tibetan tattoo on her left cheek, which is obviously visible in the “booty” close-up.

The interesting shot has raised lots of questions about the singer’s fashion style, and it’s even more mind-blowing that she was able to cut apart denim jeans almost to perfection.

Not too long ago, the latest fashion crave, for NASCAR fans that is, was cutting up an old pair of jeans to make “jorts,” but we now have another fashion blunder on our hands with Rihanna’s newest undergarment.

Could we be seeing “jongs” pop up all over the web sometime soon? You never know, but if the photo proves anything, it’s that you can pretty much do anything with denim.

Rihanna isn’t just wearing the denim thong, as she’s also sporting a red lacy thong underneath. Talk about uncomfortable, this little number may go down as one of the craziest fashion disasters that Rihanna’s ever pulled off.

Rihanna Denim Thong Photo Hits The Web, ‘Jongs’ Become The New ‘Jorts’ is a post from: The Inquisitr

Rihanna is suing Topshop for $5 million over an unauthorized T-shirt bearing her image.

According to the NY Post, the British retailer has been selling a T-shirt with Rihanna’s image on the front without the singer’s consent. RiRi asked the company several times to pull the shirt and has now filed a $5 million lawsuit.

Topshop doesn’t seemed to concerned about the lawsuit. The Telegraph reports that the company purchased the image of Rihanna from a photographer and is not required to pay any licensing fees to the artist. Topshop offered Rihanna $5,000 and said that they “didn’t care” about the lawsuit.

The company is not selling the shirt in the United States and the United Kingdom’s laws do not protect the artists.

But Rihanna is still hoping to get paid for the t-shirt. The singer hired international law firm Reed Smith to file the $5 million lawsuit in London.

A source said: “Rihanna’s management asked Topshop a number of times to stop selling her image and were told, ‘We do what we want.’ They buy the pictures from a photographer, but they do not pay the artist licensing fees. Unfortunately, UK law does not protect the artist … What is most offensive for Rihanna is that they basically told her, ‘Go to hell. We don’t care; we are going to continue selling you.’”

According to the source, the singer acknowledged that she is fighting an uphill battle since the UK is unlikely to side with her. Rihanna has reportedly spent close to $1 million on litigation at this point and says that she wants to make a statement that company’s cannot take advantage of international artists.

Rihanna Sues For $5 Million, Says Topshop Stole Her Image For T-Shirt is a post from: The Inquisitr

Rihanna is currently being eyed to play Josephine Baker in an upcoming biopic about the late American-French singer, actress, and dancer.

Producer W Lance Reynolds has said that the Bajan pop star was his first choice to play the “Black Venus.”

“Rihanna is one of the most talented performers of this millennium and with her unique acting and performing abilities, I have no doubt she will bring Josephine back to life on the big screen,” Reynolds said.

The 25-year-old recently made her acting debut in Battleship, a 2012 military/sci-fi film loosely inspired by the classic board game. The film received mixed to negative reviews, with Ms. Fenty receiving particularly harsh criticism. In fact, she “won” a Golden Raspberry (“Razzie”) for Worst Supporting Actress, beating out Jessica Biel (Playing for Keeps, Total Recall), Brooklyn Decker (What to Expect When You’re Expecting, Battleship), Ashley Greene (Breaking Dawn – Part 2), and Jennifer Lopez (What to Expect When You’re Expecting).

This isn’t the first time Rihanna has been eyed to play a legend on the big screen. Shortly after Whitney Houston’s sudden death in February 2012, there was speculation about who would portray “The Voice” in a biopic. Rihanna’s name was dropped, but the later singer’s mother Cissy Houston essentially put the kibosh on that idea by saying Rihanna celebrated everything Mama Houston hated about her daughter’s life. The “Diamonds” singer, however, said she would give her “entire life” to portray the icon.

“That would be something that I would have to give my entire life to do because I would want to really pull it off,” she told The Associated Press.

Josephine Baker was previously portrayed by Lynn Whitfield in HBO’s The Josephine Baker Story. The role earned Whitfield an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Miniseries or Movie. She was the first black actress to win the award in that category.

Baker became a huge star in Paris cabarets in the 1920s and 1930s, and became the first black female to star in a major motion picture, 1934′s Zouzou. She was also a mother to 12 adopted children and was widely know for her involvement in the Civil Rights movement. Baker died in 1975 of a cerebral hemorrhage, surrounded by newspapers with stories praising her performance in the retrospective revue Joséphine à Bobino 1975, which celebrated her 50-year career.

Rihanna and Chris Brown don’t seem to be finished with each other, at least when it comes to taking veiled potshots in social media. Rihanna posted a message to Instagram very early this morning that seemed to be directly aimed at her soured and sometimes violent relationship with Brown: “If I drop all of my hoes for you and we still don’t work out you owe me some hoes.”

Mm-kay. Well, that’s special. But the fans loved the jab and responded with comments like “LMAO” and “LOL.”

In fact, they may have even egged her on a little. A little while later she tweeted a link to another Instagram, which showed her out and about, looking absolutely terrific without the troubled Chris Brown anywhere to bother her.

As a fan posted in response to that photo, “cb is a dumb ass. Your fans love you, stay strong.” Other fans said things like “fabulous,” “nice haircut,” and “Yaassss, I love this picture.”

So who needs Mr. Brown?

Well, he may or may not realize that he screwed up something special. A short while ago, Chris Brown apparently decided to fire back on Twitter with the terse statement: “She’s not mine if she’s everybody else’s.” Sounds like there could be a jealousy thing going on.

Of course, everybody’s being very cagey and not naming any names. So maybe these tweets are just random jabs aimed at who-knows-who. Read ‘em yourself and decide for yourself.

Rihanna arrived three hours late for a concert in Boston, Massachusetts on Monday night to the dismay of many fans who waited for the popular singer at TD Garden. This is the second time Rihanna was tardy for a show in the past three months as she was 4 1/2 hours behind on March 25 for a high school charity gig just outside of Chicago.

The 25-year-old pop star was set to perform in Boston on March 25, but the show was rescheduled due to her bout with laryngitis. The make-up didn’t go as smooth as planned, and Rihanna only performed for about an hour once she arrived.

If her short set wasn’t reason enough to anger fans, there also wasn’t any supporting acts to go on while they waited for her to arrive. Rihanna has no excuse for being late, as she has dealt with rescheduling before, including this past week.

Her show at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York was pushed back from this past Sunday to the following Tuesday due to the Brooklyn Nets Game 7 against the Chicago Bulls.

As you can see, Rihanna’s Diamond World Tour isn’t off to the hottest start, but she will look to regroup as she takes to Europe later this month. The tour will run through Europe over the Summer and return to the United States before ending in November.

The fans had every right to be upset, as Rihanna was three hours late and only took the stage for about an hour. Just past 10 pm, fans expecting a “no show” began booing as the crowd turned restless. Here’s video from the stands as the crowd’s patience boiled over.

Rihanna, on the other hand, enjoyed the show and addressed her fans on Twitter, though she doesn’t apologize for being late.

So Nicole Richie decided to appear at the Met Gala 2013 themed party, Punk: From Chaos to Culture in what I’d call white hair but what others have described as platinum or gray. Twentysomething fashion site Refinery 29 split the difference and called it grayish-white.

In any event, it’s usually a shade not worn much by women under 70, so it might seem really bizarre at a youth-themed fashion event that allegedly celebrated punk. It did match her wonderful Topshop gown, which showed off a splendid figure, but we don’t usually think of the lovely Richie as somebody who looks better with a bag over her head.

Don’t worry. Her on-again, off-again friendship with Paris Hilton didn’t turn Nicole Richie’s hair white. The look was deliberately created by stylist Luke Chamberlain with hair paint — a “next level kind of punk,” he said.

I don’t think so. Punk and white hair are two things that never, ever belong in the same sentence together.

But at least Nicole Richie did something daring at the fashion party at the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday night. It beats Kim Kardashian showing up in what appeared to be the slipcover from my grandmother’s sofa.

And you have to admit that white hair on a 31-year-old woman will get your attention.

Rihanna was quick to tweet her profane impression of the odd look. Whoa. When somebody tells me that my hair makes ‘em hurl, I don’t usually take it as much of a compliment:

Rihanna was 3 hours late to a concert in Boston, leading to some unhappy fans and accusations that the singer doesn’t have her priorities in order.

The concert in Boston was originally scheduled for March, but Rihanna had to beg out at the time as she was suffering from laryngitis. The show, from the Diamonds World Tour, was rescheduled for Monday evening.

There was no warm-up act scheduled, so fans showing up to the TD Garden waited for Rihanna to show. And waited. And waited some more, until finally Rihanna showed up 3 hours late. The 25-year-old singer was met with boos in the arena and anger on Twitter.

“Boston waited 2 months and then Rihanna was 3 hours late to her packed concert. She deserved to get booed! We were mad as hell,” one concertgoer wrote.

Rihanna didn’t say why she was 3 hours late, but some people took notice of her trip to a New York Knicks game over the weekend and suggested that her priorities weren’t in order (though a bit of a strange criticism as the game took place more than a day before the concert, and Boston is just a short jump from New York).

To the fans who waited it out, Rihanna made the 3 hour wait worth it. They said she put on an amazing concert, and many of them praised her on social media.

Though fans may have forgiven Rihanna for showing up 3 hours late to her concert, this is not the first offense for the singer. As previously reported by The Inquisitr, the Chris Brown, Rihanna breakup was confirmed by Chris Brown himself and friends of Rihanna.

Chris confirmed the breakup with Rihanna during an interview with ‘The Kyle and Jackie Show’ on 2Day radio station. When asked why Rihanna was absent at his recent birthday bash Chris Brown indicated he was back to being single:

“I’ll just put it like this, one thing I always want to do is never disrespect nobody or put nobody down. The way I look at it is that I am always gonna love that person and people have different wants and needs. At the end of the day, she’s a young girl. I can’t really be focused on wifing someone that young. And I’m young too so I can’t focus on that right now. I gotta step forward and be a man and be the best Chris Brown I can be instead of worrying about whoever else is gonna be on my side pocket.”

Considering that Chris Brown is actually younger than Rihanna, that seems a fairly odd comment to make.

The Chris Brown, Rihanna breakup might have been the point of some comments made by Rihanna before singing the song What Now. Rihanna said:

“How many of you are in love? How many of you hate love? How many of you don’t f––ing understand it? I’m in that group.”

The lyrics to What Now begin this way: “I’ve been ignoring this big lump in my throat/I shouldn’t be crying, tears were for the weaker days/I’m stronger, now what, so I say/But something’s missing.”

Chris Brown has acknowledged his most recent breakup with Rihanna, confirming that the volatile on-again, off-again pair were off-again as of now.

Chris Brown and Rihanna have a famously tumultuous pairing, culminating in a violent 2009 incident in which the R&B singer was arrested for violently attacking the Umbrella singer and physically injuring her.

Brown has resented the negative publicity for some time now, frequently whining that no one has forgotten his brutal outburst.

But now it seems Team Breezy can rejoice in their hero being back on the market, as he dished about his ostensible split from Rihanna to an Aussie radio show.

Speaking on The Kyle and Jackie Show, Brown says that he will always have affection for Rihanna — but he seems to indicate that for now, he’s playing the field.

Brown mused:

“I’mma do it solo. I mean, at the end of the day, shawty doing her own thang, she on the road. It’s always gonna be love. I’m a grown man, just gotta fast forward … I’m always gonna love that person. I cant be focused on wife-ing someone that young. I need to be the best Chris Brown I can be.”

And while Brown was spotted out with another former flame, Karrueche Tran, Yahoo says he eschewed her company for that of random women:

“He didn’t appear to be paying much attention to her and was partying around a lot of girls.”

A friend of Rihanna’s appears to confirm the Chris Brown split, saying of the pair’s relationship status:

“Of course tomorrow they could be all over each other again, but for now she’s done and just living her life and touring. It’s how it always is.”

If history is any indication, however, it doesn’t seem that Chris Brown and Rihanna are able to quit each other — at least not for very long.

Karrueche Tran was spotted with ex-boyfriend Chris Brown at the singer’s 24th birthday party on Friday.

If Tran’s name isn’t immediately familiar with you, then chances are you don’t follow Brown’s personal life very closely. Karrueche and Chris previously dated before he famously hooked up with fellow singer Rihanna.

However, Brown’s current romantic interest is touring the country at the moment. This ultimately prevented Rihanna from attending her beau’s birthday celebration on Friday.

Anonymous sources explained to Us Weekly that Karrueche Tran arrived with Chris Brown’s entourage at the Emerson Theatre in Hollywood. Although she was spotted at his table during the first part of the evening, she later disappeared with another group.

“She didn’t look very happy. He didn’t appear to be paying much attention to her and was partying around a lot of girls,” the insider explained.

Chris Brown apparently likes to celebrate his birthday for as long as possible. The singer has attended festivities around the country since last week. Brown reportedly showed up in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and New York to celebrate his May 5 birthday.

Following his celebration at the Emerson Theatre in Hollywood on Friday, the singer was expected to show up at the 1 Oak Nightclub inside the Mirage in Las Vegas on Saturday evening. It’s unclear if Karrueche Tran attended this particular event as well.

Rumors have been swirling about the status of Chris Brown and Rihanna’s relationship after he was spotted at his birthday party with his ex-girlfriend in tow. Adding fuel to all of this speculation is the fact that Rihanna has yet to mention Brown’s birthday on any of her social media accounts.

Rihanna gave a fan a kiss (and got one in return) in a picture that might not have Chris Brown too happy.

The fan posted a picture to Instagram of he and Rihanna getting close, showing the singer giving him a kiss on the cheek and getting one in return. In the picture the two seem to be very affectionate, not exactly the standard pose-with-a-celebrity kind of photo.

By Wednesday night the picture of Rihanna’s fan kiss was making the rounds on the internet, adding to speculation about her on-again off-again relationship with Chris Brown. Though she and Brown have posted a number of photos in the past month, it’s difficult to keep track of where their relationship stands.

Adding to the uncertainty is the fact that Chris Brown’s own father seems to disapprove of the relationship.

“I personally really didn’t want him and Rihanna back together,” Clinton Brown, 48, told the New York Daily News from his home in Virginia. “You have to have a balance in a relationship. You have to have someone who is spontaneous and whimsical but you also have to have someone who is grounded and logical.”

There are also some clues on social media that Chris Brown and Rihanna might be in a rough patch. The R&B singer recently started to follow his ex-girlfriend, Karrueche Tran, on Twitter. Rihanna (who still follows Brown on Twitter) also started following Brown’s enemy Drake on Instagram.

The Rihanna fan kiss seems to only complicate matters, as the recipient of her smooch tweeted some suggestive messages.

“Me & @Badgalriri and you ain’t even know it,” Justin LaBoy wrote, followed by, “Real Recognize Real @Badgalriri in my city. #NYC,” and, “Me & the wife @Badgalriri out here tonight.”

Chris Brown hasn’t seemed to reference the Rihanna fan kiss on social media yet, but he may not have caught wind of it yet. He recently stopped following Rihanna on Twitter.

Rihanna is back on her illness interrupted “Diamonds” tour, and who better for the still allegedly recuperating star to party with than Lil’ Kim, right?

The “All About the Benjamins” rapper visited the Bajan singer backstage at her Atlantic City, New Jersey concert on Saturday.

From a look at the Instagrams both artists tweeted after their meet, it’s clear they both had a ball.

Despite pregnancy rumors, a very slender Rihanna greeted Lil’ Kim wearing a white laser cut Love Leather vest paired with grey sweats and black heels.

In comparison her guest, who was known for her almost pornographic dress-style in her rap videos back in her prime, cut an almost conservative figure in white leggings and a light blue plume jacket.

Making faces for the camera, the pair posed backstage for a series of ‘fun’ shots in Rihanna’s dressing room. Tweeting her verdict on the New Jersey show, the Unapologetic singer later wrote:

#NEWJERSEY that’s what the phuck iz up!!!! #DiamondsWorldTour.”

So far on the “Diamonds” tour, Rihanna has canceled shows in Dallas, Houston, Boston and Baltimore and appears to be making up for lost time. The 25-year-old posted two Instagrams of herself on Saturday with her lips locked around a wine bottle.

In other Rihanna-related news, recent reports say the singer has big plans for boyfriend Chris Brown’s May 5 birthday when he turns 24. One report claimed she has spent over $1 million on a custom made Mercedes Benz, one of only 75 limited editions produced by the luxury brand.

A source told the UK’s The Sun newspaper: “She’s had it personalized with his initials on the red leather seats.”

If true, Brown will no doubt be delighted. Which is more than can be said for his father. Speaking exclusively to the New York Daily News, Clinton Brown was quite the doomsayer.

In the interview, Clinton Brown said he wished his son hadn’t got back with his former girlfriend.

“I personally really didn’t want him and Rihanna back together,” the 48-year-old admitted. “You have to have a balance in a relationship.”

“You have to have someone who is spontaneous and whimsical but you also have to have someone who is grounded and logical.”

Referring loosely to the 2009 incident in which his son battered Rihanna just days before the Grammys, it seems Brown senior thinks the songstress could be too much to handle.

“[Rihanna] would make a good mom,” the Virginia native said, but added. “I think she would probably have to change some of her antics, the party attitude would probably have to change.”

Although Clinton said he thought his son was probably attracted to the “exotic” and “successful” singer because she understands the pressures of the business, he is pessimistic about the couple’s future together.

“I don’t think they would just whimsically and spontaneously have a child with them being in this mode. That’s why I don’t see it happening — but anything’s possible, man.”

Bringing an even more sobering tone to the interview, Clinton reeled off a list of artists who had met tragic and untimely ends.

“I hate to use examples,” he said. “But Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston and Amy Winehouse — I mean I could go on and on! Is that a given — that you can’t have fortune and fame without [death] being the end result?”

According to Chris Brown’s father, Rihanna isn’t grounded or logical enough for his son, which is why their relationship will ultimately end in tragedy … again.

Clinton Brown, father to 23-year-old R&B entertainer (and aspiring pugilist) Chris Brown, told the New York Daily News that he hopes his son’s relationship with Rihanna doesn’t last. The 48-year-old said that he wasn’t thrilled to learn that they had reunited, and would prefer his son to stay away from RiRi for good.

And Rihanna is not that girl for Chris Brown.

Chris Brown and Rihanna 1.0 ended in 2009 when he brutally beat the Barbadian singer before the Grammy Awards. They rekindled the flame late last year, inspiring criticism from just about everywhere. Brown is unquestionably to blame for the 2009 beating, but many fans and media figures found Rihanna at fault for going back.

And it’s all going to end in tragedy yet again, according to the elder Brown.

“I hate to use examples, but Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston and Amy Winehouse — I mean I could go on and on!” he noted.

So which girlfriend did Clinton prefer for his son? He said that he liked American Idol alum Jordin Sparks, who collaborated with Brown on “Shortie Like Mine.” He also liked Karrueche Tran, Brown’s girlfriend after Rihanna.

“I liked her a lot. They seemed to get on terrifically,” he said of Tran. “Whenever she was around me, the quiet, meek, accommodating, respectful image is what she portrayed.”

He also added that Rihanna “was very respectful and polite as well.”

RiRi doesn’t sing on The Wanted’s new single but she was definitely the inspiration. The British rock group released a 30-second teaser for their new song “She Walks Like Rihanna” today on YouTube.

The Wanted member Tom Parker said:

“We are really excited about this single … We feel it’s a little different from the usual Wanted sound, we’ve stripped it back to pure pop, it’s just a feel-good, fun track. Fun is a good word to describe the video too. Let’s just say it’s got a lot of character.”

Rihanna hasn’t commented on the song yet but there’s a good chance she’ll find it insulting since the chorus of the song talks about someone who can’t dance or sing. But then again, Rihanna might be flattered because it doesn’t matter if you can sing or dance as long as you can walk like Rihana.

The Wanted sing: “She can’t sing, She can’t dance, but who cares? She walks like Rihanna.”

Rihanna has asked Katy Perry to spank her the next time they meet up.

The two singers were talking to each other over Twitter, after Perry quizzed Rihanna over why she wasn’t asked to party with her in Los Angeles at the weekend.

Rihanna was quick to state that she was in Miami rather than Los Angeles, and images even surfaced of the singer throwing cash and dancing with strippers in a club.

Katy then tweeted, “Ermmm … I was in LA Saturday night … Should I be proud or offended I wasn’t invited?”

Rihanna then retored, “Errm I wasn’t! Lol! #miaminights Howeverrrr … I’ll still let you spank me.”

Perry then concluded their exchange, noting, “Don’t worry @rihanna I’ll make it up to you at Barclays … Or more like let you make it up to me … hehehe @rihanna.”

This isn’t the first time the pair have talked about get kinky between the sheets. Last year Perry was asked if she was planning to record a song with the Barbados born singer, to which she said, “No, but we’re gonna have sex.”

It was recently thought that the pair had fallen out because of Rihanna’s romantic reconciliation with Chris Brown. Brown was arrested in 2009 after assaulting Rihanna, leaving her with visible facial injuries.

Brown then served community service for the offence, but that didn’t stop her taking him back earlier this year. Perry apparently disapproved of their reunion but is now back in cahoots with Rihanna.

Recently when asked about the Barbados songstress, Perry stated, “I think she is doing fine. I don’t know. Her personal life has probably already been blown out of proportion. I don’t really have to go into that. I’m sure she probably wants a break.”

Perry herself is currently single after splitting up with John Mayer earlier in the year, and has apparently had enough of men because of their demise.

Justin Bieber will have a tough fight on his hands at this year’s Billboard Music Awards.

The nominations are in and it’s as tight as a tight thing.

Bieber, who has been in the headlines recently for everything but his music, is nominated for Top Artist, Top Male Artist, Top Billboard 200 Artist, Top Social Artist, Top Pop Artist, Top Pop Album and the Milestone Award.

The 19-year-old will be performing at the event and has promised Billboard via Twitter that he has “something different” planned for the show.

In the Top Artist category, Bieber will face off against Maroon 5, Taylor Swift, Rihanna and One Direction.

Votes for the awards will be decided on album and digital single sales, airplay, touring, streaming and social media interactions between fans and artists on platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Vevo and Spotify.

To wit, Swift has sold 26 million albums and 75 million song downloads around the world. Bieber has sold 18 million albums worldwide.

Bieber may have an easier run in the Top Male artist award category. In this, the Canadian is up against Bruno Mars (53 million song downloads worldwide with 1 billion YouTube views), rapper and producer Flo Rida, country’s Jason Aldean and Canadian rapper Drake.

Skipping over to the Billboard 200 Artist category, a standing room only line-up sees multi-million selling Adele up for a win here with her second album 21, two years after its release in February 2011.

That mighty effort will contend with Bieber’s 2012 Believe album which topped Billboard’s chart on its release last year, Mumford and Sons Babel, Swift’s Red, and One Direction’s Take Me Home and Up All Night.

The Top Social Artist Award covers much the same ground, but replaces Adele and Mumford and Sons with Rihanna and Katy Perry. Competition here will be fierce as each artist has a sizable, active fan base.

Going by numbers alone, Bieber leads 38+ million Twitter followers (despite a recent claim by metrics analysts site Socialbakers that nearly half of these were fake false, Twitter has not seen fit to amend the singer’s account so the figures stand at present), and over 52 million Facebook likes.

Top Pop Artist assembles another contentious gallery with Adele, Bieber and One Direction jousting with Maroon 5′s Overexposed and Mars’ Unorthodox Jukebox.

Top Pop album sees the above pitted against each other, minus mars.

Bieber also goes head to head with Swift and Mars for the Chevrolet sponsored Milestone award.

Leading with most nominations are Swift, Maroon 5 and Fun in 11 categories.

Rihanna scored 10 nods, while Carly Rae Jepsen — recent Juno Awards winner — has nine.

Noting the sign of the times, this year Billboard have added several electronic dance categories, paving the way for huge dance titans like David Guetta, Baauer, Skrillex and Calvin Harris to get a look in.

Billboard’s Music Awards will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on May 19 with host Tracy Morgan. The show airs at 8 pm. ET on ABC.

And if you still need one more reason to watch, Prince is this year’s recipient of Billboard’s Icon Award.

It should be a night to remember.

Justin Bieber Promises ‘Something Different’ For Battle Royale At Billboard Music Awards is a post from: The Inquisitr

Rihanna rumors have the internet in a tailspin after the pop singer cancelled a fourth stop on her Diamonds tour earlier this week. She backed out of a Houston show on Monday, a Dallas concert on April 12, and two other scheduled performances back in March.

Last month her representatives told TMZ that she had a throat infection. It was the end of flu season, so the claim wasn’t too weird.

However, the infection seems to have gone on for an awful long time.

And another gossip site, Hollywood Life, published a photograph that they said showed Rihanna leaving a doctor’s office in Beverly Hills on Tuesday. She was making a gesture that could be construed as being protective of her stomach — admittedly odd for a throat infection.

When a young woman is sick to her stomach, then it’s a given that some people will guess that she’s pregnant. And, indeed, many of the Rihanna rumors running wild are claiming that she’s having a baby with on-again, off-again erstwhile girlfriend beater Chris Brown.

However, there’s another rumor swirling — that she partied a little too hard in Vegas and let down her fans further down the line. Rihanna has posted some perhaps ill-advised photos and comments to Instagram, and a lot of people have left some pretty peeved-off posts as a result. Much of the language used both to attack and defend Rihanna for the no-shows can’t really be described in a family publication.

However, one angry fan left a message that we can pass on:

“Stop cancelling your shows. You weren’t sick when u were getting high at Coachella.”

Rihanna Rumors Swirl After Repeated Show Cancellations is a post from: The Inquisitr

Meat Loaf isn’t the only musician to cancel a concert today. Rihanna canceled her show in Houston tonight due to an illness.

Live Nation announced today that Rihanna’s concert in Houston would have to be rescheduled due to an illness. E! Online notes that this is the third time that the singer has cancelled a show this year due to illness.

A statement on Rihanna’s website reads: “Unfortunately, as a result of illness Rihanna is unable to perform this evening at Houston’s Toyota Center.”

Rihanna hasn’t offered any other details about her illness but did say that she should be well enough to perform tomorrow night in Dallas. A statement on the singer’s website said that the April 16 show at the American Airlines Center is still on the schedule.

Fans who were planning to attend the singer’s show tonight were encouraged to hold onto their tickets. Live Nation hasn’t announced when the concert would be rescheduled.

A statement on Rihanna’s website reads: “Fans are instructed to retain their tickets to this event pending rescheduled show date information.”

If you have a ticket and don’t want to wait around to see RiRi, you can get a refund from the Toyota Center.

Back in March, Rihanna had to cancel two shows while she recovered from the flu and laryngitis. It’s unclear what illness the singer is suffering from this time around.

Drake has taken more swipes at Chris Brown, reminding his rival, “The woman [you] love fell into my lap.”

Drake and Brown, who previously brawled in a New York nightclub, have been keeping up a war of words for the past few months.

After Brown used Young Jeezy’s song “R.I.P” to urge Drake to “come out the closet,” Drake returned fire when he appeared on East Village Radio’s “Keep It Thoro” show. Speaking to host Elliot Wilson, Drake said:

“Don’t ask me s**t about that man when I come up there. Leave that man alone. Stop preying on his insecurities. His insecurities are the fact that I make better music than him. I’m more poppin’ than him.”

Rihanna, a common subject in Drake’s goading, came up again when the rapper said:

“At one point in life, the woman that he loves fell into my lap. I did what a real n***a would do and treated her with respect. She’s not up there talking down on me.”

Just to show he wasn’t obsessed or anything, the 26-year-old rapper then attacked Brown’s musical skills again:

“I don’t want to hear that man rap. Nobody wants to hear me rap against him. I really do this s**t. Let him put out that, whatever, ‘Project X’ or whatever he’s working on and I’m going to put out that real s**t for the people. Nothing good can come out of that situation.”

Drake then said he wasn’t dwelling on his tiff with Brown:

“I’m not thinking about that man at all, or that girl, straight up. My life has moved on.”

Chris Brown kept his response to Drake’s barbs brief, tweeting just three letters:

Last June, Brown and Drake (and their two entourages) brawled in New York’s SoHo club after Drake allegedly sent Brown a note that read, “I’m f**king the love of your life.” The not-so-subtle reference to Rihanna didn’t go down well with Brown, and the two were soon engaging in fisticuffs.

For Rihanna and Chris Brown the course of true love hasn’t exactly been smooth.

The Bajan singer was assaulted by Brown in 2009 and their relationship came to an end. Fast forward past her Oprah Winfrey interview and the couple were reunited by September last year.

Recently however, trouble has visited Breezy and RiRi’s brand of paradise, with reports that the pair had ended their rekindled romance after an evening out at an L.A. club on April 8. Brown was reportedly chatting to a blonde woman but as it turned out it was an innocent exchange.

The blonde in question, Kesha Kimball, told TMZ:

“I am always Chris’ waitress … Nothing has ever happened. I just work there. In the photos, he was handing me a bottle to drink out of. Of course people are going to twist it another way. I don’t go for black guys.”

She added: “Whatever is going on between Rihanna and Chris Brown is between them. I’m not trying to be a home wrecker.”

Since then, Rihanna sparked more rumors that all is not well in her relationship when she spoke to the crowd at her Los Angeles concert on Monday night.

“How many of you are in love? How many of you hate love? How many of you don’t f––ing understand it?” Rihanna told the Staples Center audience while on stage, before singing “What Now.”

“I’m in that group,” she declared.

In case that isn’t enough of a clue on how the Unapologetic singer was feeling, the lyrics to “What Now” begin:

“I’ve been ignoring this big lump in my throat/I shouldn’t be crying, tears were for the weaker days/I’m stronger, now what, so I say/But something’s missing.”

But for those that weren’t exactly singing it from the rooftops when Brown and Rihanna got back together, don’t count the couple out just yet.

Following her stage admission, the “Diamonds” singer posted a photo of her and Brown to Twitter on Wednesday.

In it, the pair can be seen enjoying the L.A sunshine, with Rihanna resting her head on Brown while he drives a convertible.

Laughing at her ‘crazy-in-love’ hair, the 24-year-old captioned another shot:

“This s*** look like a toupee.”

Rihanna and Brown reportedly then went on shopping together after meeting up with RiRi’s best frriend Melissa Forde.

So, it seems like it’s back on for the tempestuous twosome. Until, of course, next time.

Rihanna and Chris Brown have reportedly ended their rekindled romance, but it also seems that, no matter what happens, the pair can’t seem to quit one another.

Rihanna and Chris Brown famously split after he assaulted her several years back, but, eventually, the couple tentatively began to contact, see, and date one another.

Rihanna received a significant amount of criticism for returning to the man who’d harmed her, and Brown’s public image has never fully recovered from the incident — despite his frustration and seemingly feeling as if he’s suffered enough for his taboo transgression.

TMZ spies snapped and papped Rihanna out clubbing in L.A. last night after her alleged latest Chris Brown split, puffing the magic dragon openly in a venue. The site says Rih was “ripping a fat blunt inside a Hollywood nightclub early Monday morning,” adding:

“Sources inside Greystone Manor nightclub tell us, Rihanna arrived around 1am with her assistant and security guard … and pretty much kept to herself. She left an hour or so later.”

The site had reported earlier that a “mystery blonde” got between Rihanna and Chris Brown, but later spoke to the woman — who not only denied seeing Brown, but also dating any black men in general? Really, that’s what she said:

“I am always Chris’ waitress. I know him and am friends with his friends. Nothing has ever happened. I just work there. In the photos, he was handing me a bottle to drink out of. Of course people are going to twist it another way. I don’t go for black guys.”

The woman, Keisha Kimball, added:

“Whatever is going on between Rihanna and Chris Brown is between them. I’m not trying to be a home wrecker.”

In the realm of celeb gossip, however, it’s expected that Rihanna will take up with her on-again, off-again beau in short order.

Chris Brown’s court troubles never seem to end. The R&B singer found himself in front of a Los Angeles judge on Friday, where he was told that he will be expected to attend a follow-up hearing on June 10.

At issue? There are lingering rumors that he misreported his community service, filing false claims that he cleaned stables, scrubbed floors, and performed other not-too-glamorous tasks in Virgina. Los Angeles County isn’t convinced that he actually completed his legal obligations, and there are rumors that he may be required to return for more — this time in Los Angeles.

Richmond, VA police chief Bryan Norwood has already resigned from his job in the wake of the investigation into whether or not Brown really did all the work he said he did. Norwood is the official who signed off on the paperwork stating that Chris Brown had finished the 180 days (1,440 hours) of required community service.

But the Los Angeles County court thinks that Chris Brown’s documents are either sloppy or downright fraudulent, according to a motion filed by L.A. County prosecutors in February.
