In a report published yesterday by Crain’s Chicago Business, JPMorgan Chase filed a foreclosure suit last month stating that Mr. Kelly hasn’t made a mortgage payment since June of 2010.

R. Kelly, who is no stranger to controversy,  owes more than $2.9 million in principle on the Olympia Field home which appraised for $3.8 million last year.

In addition to the nearly 3 million in principle due, the 11,000 square-foot home has a number of liens on it, according to the lawsuit, including nearly $2 million from the Department of the Treasury.

The 44-year-old R&B singer’s spokesman, Allan Mayer, declined to comment about the foreclosure, but did reveal that Kelly – whose recently completed 2011 tour and 2010 album, Love Letter, were apparently both successful – is not in any financial trouble.

This brings up the question: Is he just choosing to not pay his bills? What are your thoughts?

Okay, just a few comments: forget the mole business, forget the horror that was R. Kelly’s face when that evidence was presented, too. . . because he has been acquitted of all fourteen counts of child pornography. There’s not too much I can say, since he’s Not Guilty, but I admit that I Feel Weird. After reading so much on the trial, it really seemed to be going in another direction. Especially after this.

Is this another case of a celebrity getting off easy? Perhaps after I hear from you, I’ll realize that the better question was– did I need to ask?

R. Kelly’s going to be in trouble, or so it seems as we watch his trial progress this week. The R&B star faced damaging testimony regarding the 27-minute sex tape filmed with a girl as young as 13, and it all had to do with his mole.

After freeze-frame shots taken from the vid were compared to R. Kelly’s photos, it turned out that the same mole, in the exact same place, made a little cameo. Not surprisingly, Kelly was looking pretty grim as the evidence was trotted out. In addition, it would have taken 44 years to add the mole frame by frame, video expert Grant Fredericks stated.

So answer this: who’s screwed now? (Sorry, I couldn’t resist!)
