Ex Party Girl Lindsay Lohan reportedly was made several highly lucrative offers to host New Year’s Eve shows on several networks.  In a sign of the changing times, Lindsay supposedly turned them all down in order to help rehab her party hard image.

TMZ reported that the troubles star is making great progress with the judge who is overseeing her probation.  She has been showing up on time to community service, staying clean and sober and keeping a low profile.  She desperately wants to keep the judge happy so she decided to stay home on New Year’s Eve.

The gossip site also reported that Lindsay Lohan is giving up a six figure payday to avoid the New Year’s Eve circuit.  She has stated publicly that she is going to spend the evening home with friends and possibly go out to dinner before midnight.

In December the judge praised Lindsay for her great progress and publicly encouraged her to keep up the good work.  Lindsay is on probation for a 2007 DUI and in a seperate case she is on parole for stealing a necklace.

It seems as if the former Disney star is really turning a page on her troubled past.  Six months ago people were writing her celebrity obituary, and now it seems as if she is on the road back to superstardom.   It seems as if the Playboy shoot, in which Lohan did a full nude shoot in the likeness of Marilyn Monroe, really signalled a turn up from bottom.  Hugh Hefner really does hold salvation for some Hollywood starlets.

She is due to appear in court Jan. 17 for a probation progress report.

Though Hugh Hefner and ex-fiancé Crystal Harris called off their engagement just days before their wedding in June, there is still one thing holding the two together: a charming Cavalier King Charles spaniel, creatively named “Charlie”.

If you’re on the wrong side of 30, you know Hef as the founder and long-time publisher of the magazine Playboy. If you’re in your late-teens or early-twenties, you know Hef from his show Girls Next Door. Either way, everyone knows the man for his night-life and endless supply of blonde bombshells, of which Harris is only the latest in what will surely be an enduring line, since Hef is apparently immune to consequences.

The “amicable” split has been uncomfortably passive-aggressive, beginning with reports of a mutual break-up followed by comments from Harris criticizing Hef for “two-second” stamina, and then in September, news of Harris’s intention of auctioning off her 3.39 engagement rock (worth more than your college education, and mine).

Hefner, Playboy mogul and libertine, originally said that Harris could keep the dog — according to her, anyway. Hefner says they’re still working it out, but believes that it’s only fair that he receive full custody, saying:

“I told her if she wants to keep the ring and the Bentley, then maybe I can keep the puppy. I [hope] we will work it out.”

In an attempt to garner some sympathy, Hefner continued by saying that Charlie isn’t “$100,000 worth”, hinting at his generous buy-off of Harris.

Yesterday we reported that interest in the Lindsay Lohan featured Playboy appeared to be waning but a recent study has found that the Lohan featured edition is flying off bookshelves in Atlanta, Chicago, Los Angeles and New York.

CNN had staffers call each location to determine availability with many stores revealing that they wouldn’t have more copies available until Monday morning.

The cover and photo spread was a gamble for Playboy and founder Hugh Hefner after she was paid a sum reported to be in the vicinity of $700,000 to $1 million.

In a message posted on Hefner’s Twitter account on Sunday he tweeted:

“The Lindsay Lohan January-February Double Issue is breaking sales records.”

Another spokesman for Playboy also echoed sentiments that the issue is “selling very well.”

Lohan accepted the photo shoot after her acting career quickly fizzled following various run-ins with the law over the last four years, run-ins that included DUI’s and theft of expensive jewelry. Many insiders believe she needed the money to keep the lifestyle she’s accustomed to.

The Playboy photo shoot wasn’t without it’s own issues, namely the fact that Hugh after seeing the first photo spread called Lohan back into his officers to re-shoot the entire spread, a shoot they say channels Marilyn Monroe.  If you’re familiar with Lohan’s work you already known that she has rather unsuccessfully tried to channel the likes of Marilyn in the past.

It seems as if rumors that the latest Playboy Celebrity Cover proved to be unfounded.  There seems to be very little interest in Lindsay Lohan‘s “Assets”.  In fact, very few customers seem to have much interest, especially since the photos were leaked online last week, and were widely criticized as flat.  The photo shoot has been described as an  intensely air-brushed version of the photo shoot done of Marilyn Monroe, which appeared in Playboy in 1953.

Fox News sent a team on the streets from New York to Philadelphia trying to find out how much interest there was in the issue, and they reported the same answer at every stop.

“No one has bought it”

It seems as if the $1 million dollars that Hugh Hefner paid for the shoot might have just been a waste of time and money.  Speaking exclusively to E! online, Hugh Hefner originally stated he didn’t even have any interest in photographing the troubled actress.

“It really came as a surprise to me,” Hefner told E! “I kind of had mixed emotions about it initially, and then it turned into something bigger than life. “I wasn’t quite sure where she was at in her life, obviously. It depends on whether it’s Tuesday or Thursday.”

Speaking to Perez Hilton, there seemed to be one celebrity who was really interested in purchasing the magazine and that was rap sensation 50 Cent.  He told Perez he had not seen the spread online, but was really interested in seeing what Lindsay’s cooch looked like.  He also waxed philosophically about why it is that when a woman strips for $1 she is called a stripper but when a celebreity does it for $1 Million it is called “art”

Hugh Hefner, champion of women’s rights to be blonde, tanned and nude at his behest, has spoken out about his role in Lindsay Lohan’s much buzzed about nude Playboy pictorial.

85-year-old Hefner admitted some reservations about Lohan’s mental state in agreeing to the pics, but in essence, who cares? Lindsay Lohan’s vadge! Hefner says the troubled star was not super keen on baring all for the nudie mag that is now struggling for relevancy in the age of internet porn, but that he supplied a verbal roofie to the former child star in convincing her to get her kit off to sell some of the once-popular rag that made Anna Nicole Smith and Pamela Anderson stars. Hef says Dina Lohan appeared and objected, finally, to one of Lindsay’s not necessarily great ideas, but that he managed to talk her into it:

“I think it was essentially mama [Dina] and the folks around her that kept pushing for less nudity… And I said, ‘We’re doing a nude pictorial here. We’re going to do it in a very classy way and we’re going to do it in a way in which it will not be forgotten.’”

If that all sounds a bit uncomfortable and awkward to you, don’t think Hefner didn’t consider that Lohan may not be the best decision maker before talking her into taking naked pics she can never take back while her career tanks:

A photo of Lindsay Lohan’s Playboy cover surfaced on Wednesday, well ahead of the company’s January/February issue release.

The cover was leaked after an early copy was sent out and features Lindsay Lohan with her female parts strategically covered by a red bunny logo shaped chair.

The Playboy issue will officially hit newsstands until later in the month and the official cover photo is expected to arrive on Dec. 15. During the official cover photo reveal Lohan will sit down with Ellen DeGeneres (Dec. 15) to discuss her Playboy photo shoot, Lohan’s rep has revealed that the Ellen interview will be her only public discussion about the Playboy job.

Speaking about the cover and photo spread Lohan’s rep said it was  ”absolutely fantastic and very tasteful,”  while Hugh Hefner has recently called the photo shoot “very classy” which is hard to believe since Lindsay Lohan was involved.

Lohan has hoped for the last several months that her photo shoot and attempt to stay out of trouble will help generate interest in her career which has waned since her DUI arrest and following necklace-theft.

Playboy has a lot riding on the cover and inside spread, after shooting a first run with Lohan in November she was called back for a re-shoot after Playboy founder Hugh Hefner determined that the first shoot didn’t meet his expectations. Lohan is not expected to appear fully nude in the shoot.

Playboy says Lohan was channeling Marilyn Monroe for the shoot, I personally don’t see it.

Playboy earlier this week requested that actress Lindsay Lohan re-shoot her nude scenes and if the photos taken during a recent bar trip in Venice, California are any indication we now know why.

The 25-year-old was out with friends at a bar on Saturday night when in a rare moment a photo was taken in which she wasn’t posing for the camera and the results are all chin.

While the photo for many women would just be an unfortunately unflattering angle we’re use to seeing Lohan in pose ready form just about every single time a new photo pops up, minus perhaps her mugshots.

For a Playboy shoot worth somewhere in the vicinity of $700,000 to $1 million I highly suspect we’ll be seeing plenty of airbrushing for the cover and pictorial.

When Lindsay Lohan was ordered to spend 30 days in jail this week for violating the terms of her probation Judge Sautner gave the actress one week to report for her sentence and now it turns out that week was needed to complete some unfinished business with Playboy.

Lohan was asked by Playboy to reshoot her nude scenes for the magazine after founder Hugh Hefner was reportedly unhappy with the scenes he was shown.

A source close to the situation told RadarOnline:

“Lindsay was told that the Playboy executives wanted to go another direction with her shoot so they asked her to come back for a second time. The first pictures of Lindsay weren’t exactly what they wanted so they have a new theme that they want to shoot … There is never a guarantee that everyone will like the photos or that they will be of high enough quality to use for the cover but Playboy wanted to make sure that Lindsay’s pictures were exactly what they wanted.”

Apparently taking off her clothes and smiling into the camera is too hard for Lohan and this was something I finally thought she would get right.

The reshoot for the magazine began on Thursday and her Playboy cover and pictorial will go live in the January edition of Playboy.

The naked offers keep rolling in. Lindsay Lohan, who was just offered close to $1 million to pose naked in Playboy, has just received another million dollar offer to model for Fleshlight. But Lohan wouldn’t be modeling for any photographs for the sex toy company. Nope, Fleshlight wants to make a mold of her lady parts.

Yep. It turns out Lindsay Lohan’s genitals are worth far more than Lohan’s acting talent.

TMZ reports that the sex toy company has already sent a letter to Lohan headquarters explaining their million dollar offer. Lohan has not agreed to work with Fleshlight and she has not commented on the offer.

And in case you aren’t up to date on all the goings-on in the world of porn, Lohan wouldn’t be the first person to have a mold made of her vagina for Fleshlight. Several porn stars, including Jesse Jane and Lisa Ann have already made their own custom sex toys. Of course, Lohan will probably be the first former A-List actress to add “Fleshlight model” to her resume.

But Lohan probably won’t accept Fleshlight’s offer. A source close to Lohan told TMZ that Lohan “would never accept such an offer for any amount of money.”

However, in 2005, Lohan said:

“You’ll never see me in a nude scene… I’m not going to do a nude scene… Then there’s no mystery for my private life.”

With a big paycheck coming her way from Playboy, I doubt Lohan even considers the Fleshlight offer. But in a few years, when that million dollar check has shriveled up…

Lindsay Lohan has had a rough week, but fortunately for her, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. That shimmering light is a big fat check from Hugh Hefner. Playboy is reportedly paying Lohan $750,000 for a nude photoshoot.

TMZ reports that Hef’s original offer of $750,000 was initially turned down, as Lohan said that nude photos of her were worth at least a cool million. But Hef didn’t budge and eventually Lohan agreed to the $750,000 payday.

And the Playboy shoot is apparently already underway. Lohan is supposedly taking her clothes off at a Beverly Hills Mansion for Playboy… you know, on her days off from the morgue where she was ordered to serve community service. 

Is this the right move for Lohan? Her personal life has practically derailed her career. Will posing nude for Playboy get the public talking about her in a flattering way again?

This isn’t the first time Lohan has posed nude. In 2008, Lohan recreated a nude photo shoot Marylin Monroe did called “The Last Sitting.” But the photo shoot didn’t exactly give her a career boost. When it came time to cast Marylin Monroe in the movie, “My Week with Marilyn,” director Simon Curtis chose Michele Williams for the title role.

One of the more compelling things about Michael Jackson is that those who were closest to him often don’t have a bad thing to say about the troubled king of pop- but the late singer always comes in for a few comments about how eccentric, offbeat or even unsettling he was to those who knew Jackson in person.

Rashida Jones- who we last heard from when she was making out with Zooey Deschanel- knew the pop star via her dad, Quincy Jones. And like many, Rashida doesn’t seem to think anything untoward about Jackson- but she does admit he wasn’t always Joe Average. Jones talked about her family friend in a recent interview, describing his strange antics and likening the musician to an “alien.” She explains:

“Michael basically grew up with us, so I have a million memories of him. We were at each other’s house all the time… He was definitely a little bit of an alien, for sure, and when I was young, it felt as if he was my age, not 18 years older, but with just a little bit more pep.”

Jones’ experience with Jackson- that she felt on his level and not that he was older or treated her like a child- echoes recent recollections by child star Soleil Moon Frye about the pop king. Jones says eventually the pair would go out together- not on dates, but just for fun:

“Later, we’d go out on the town together. He always wore those surgical masks. Once, my sister, Michael, Emmanuel Lewis and I got in a car with Super Soakers and went by a movie theater and supersoaked the hell out of people waiting in line. They had no idea they’d just been supersoaked by the King of Pop.”

NBC thought they might have a hit on their hands with the 1960s based TV drama The Playboy Club but it turns out the show couldn’t even muster decent numbers for it’s primetime debut attracting just 5 million viewers while finishing dead last in its timeslot.

The Playboy Club is set in 1960s Chicago and follows the lives of the clubs famous Playboy Bunnies and the Clubs attorney Nick Dalton, a big name “keyholder” at the club.

Starring Eddie Cibrian, Laura Benanti, Amber Heard, Naturi Naughton and Jenifer Lewis the show drew protests and boycott threats from women’s rights groups before debuting on Monday night at 10 PM.

Speaking about the shows lack of reality former Club Bunny Marilyn Miller told Vanity Fair

“I’m so disappointed,” while adding, “None of those things happened. They did a wonderful job re-creating the club physically, but everything else. I thought it was cheap, it was degrading, it was demoralizing.”

Miller went on to add:

“It makes the Bunnies seem silly. You didn’t have time to stand around and flirt with the customers or talk to the other Bunnies or run around and get in trouble or have a smoke in the back alley. You were so busy. You worked!”

She ended with:

“Not one Bunny I know liked the show. Everyone is hoping it gets canceled.”

Well exactly what did Miller expect? Perhaps a show about waitresses taking orders the entire time?

Hugh Hefner and his Playboy bunnies will be making their triumphant return to Chicago, IL after a 25 year absence. Just blocks from the original Playboy Club a new experience is hoping to open in a mansion located on the Near North Side.

According to Playboy’s CEO the deal is currently in the works with expectations to open the club by early 2012.

The announcement comes just as the company prepares to launch a new TV show based on their one-time famous clubs, while new clubs have already launched in Las Vegas, Cancun, Macau and London.

If the deal goes through it will be the first club that isn’t featured in a hotel, the resurgence of the Playboy Clubs started at The Palms location in Vegas.

According to Chicago Business:

“There’s a retro appeal of Playboy that’s still tied to the brand that could attract a young audience,” says one Playboy expert. “But will it be able to set itself apart in a way where people will make a return visit?”

The original clubs were very popular in the 1960s however the excitement of those locations quickly fizzled out and all of the company’s original locations were shut down.

Playboy is desperate to find new revenue streams as their subscription base continues to shrink and free pornography threatens the entire industries original business model.

The 22-year-old runway model who began her career at just 2-years-old is set to appear in the magazines September issue.

Much like counterpart Liv Tyler and her late discovery that Steven Tyler was her dad, Lowe didn’t know Rossdale was her father until a 2004 paternity test proved it.

At this time Rossdale isn’t commenting on his daughter’s turn as a Playboy model, although the move shouldn’t surprise fans of Daisy’s work, she has plenty of NSFW photos that appear via a simple Google Image Search.

25-year-old Crystal Harris ditched her much older fiance, Playboy founder Hugh Hefner over squabbles about money and her fledgling music career.

A source close to Crystal told TMZ that she was sick and tired of receiving just “a couple hundred dollars” per week and that she wanted to earn her own way by launching a music career.

Even with the couple’s wedding just days away the snoop says Harris was more focused on her music career than marrying the man she was supposedly in love with.

According to those close to the wedding, Crystal felt that she “couldn’t be married to Hef and have a successful music career.”

Hugh Hefner is taking Playboy Enterprises private again after a deal valuing the company at $207 million.

According to Business Week, Hefner increased his per-share bid by 65 cents over the amount he offered back in July:

Hefner, 84, is offering to buy the Class A stock and Class B shares he doesn’t already own for $6.15 per share, representing an 18 percent premium over the Class B closing price of $5.20 a share on Jan. 7, the company said in a statement today. Hefner said in July he would pay $5.50 a share in cash for the stock.

FriendFinder Networks, the company that owns Penthouse, also made an attempt in July to purchase the company for $210 million. It was determined by Playboy’s board that giving control of the company to Hefner was in Playboy Enterprises’ best interests. In a statement, Hefner opined that the transition to being a privately held company was the right direction for the company:

“With the completion of this transaction, Playboy will come full circle, returning to its roots as a private company. The brand resonates today as clearly as at any time in its 57-year history.”

In the past decade, Playboy has seen massive drops in circulation due to steep competition from web-based adult entertainment outfits.

According to the New York Post, Playboy model Tiffany Livingston had a mid-air panic attack on a JetBlue flight from Orlando to Newark yesterday, and is said to have attempted to open a door mid-flight during the episode.

Mayer also speaks at length about his failed relationship with Jennifer Aniston (expressing a lot of guilt and regret each time), his very gay moment involving Perez Hilton and his desire to “write pornography.” I found it difficult to dislike the guy reading the article, even not being a massive fan of his music. Something about his honesty is appealing, despite coming off as pretty heavily self-absorbed. It’s a pretty interesting interview, and you can read it in its entirety on the Playboy website.

The blue-haired Simpson’s matriarch will be the first cartoon character to grace the cover of Playboy magazine.

Marge will be featured in the magazine’s November issue, to celebrate the show’s 20th anniversary. Playboy CEO Scott Flanders said that the girlie mag felt the spread would be “kind of hip, cool and unusual.”

No word yet on how stripped down Marge will be in her “shoot,” but TMZ says that she’ll be posing in a selection of cartoon lingerie.
