Ashlee Simpson filed for divorce from Fall Out Boy husband Pete Wentz in February 2010 and now we have learned that the celebrity couple’s marriage was officially dissolved on Nov. 22.

Ashlee, 27, and Pete married in 2008 and have one child together, a son named Bronx Mowgli.

While the couple may no longer be wed they have been seen out in public many times together since their marriage ended, oftentimes spending time together with little Bronx.

Speaking about his ex-wife Wentz, 32, has said there is, ”nothing but love and respect” for Ashlee.

The former happy couple are now onto new relationships with Wentz dating model Meagan Camper and Simpson currently seeing Boardwalk Empire star Vincent Piazza.

Four short months after filing for divorce from Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz, Ashlee Simpson was spotted getting cozy with Boardwalk Empire actor Vincent Piazza during a stroll the two shared in New York.

“They were laughing and chatting,” a witness told Us Weekly. “She’d stop to kiss him; she couldn’t take her eyes off him.”

The following day, the happy pair were spotted hugging and kissing again with their arms around each other at the airport before Ashlee departed New York for Los Angeles.

Despite Ashlee’s new found love interest in Piazza, she still maintains a close relationship with her estranged husband Wentz for the benefit of their two-year old son, Bronx.

Recent photos showing the split couple holding hands sparked rumors of a reconciliation, but were quickly shot down as “purely friendly” by sources who know the couple well.

“It’s very amicable. They’re on very friendly terms and speaking – it’s fine.” A friend of the couple told People

Sirius Radio’s Morning Mash-Up ushered in Pete’s next disastrous interview in which he describes tasting breast milk yesterday. Not altogether unusual (remember that episode of Friends?), but probably not something Ashlee wants to read about after fielding his last spectacular overshare moment. Voila:

“Can I tell you, I’ve tasted it. My mom was sitting here, I swear to God she was sitting here and she’s like ‘It’s the sweetest milk on the planet, you can’t even…’ – I was like ‘What are you talking about?’ It kind of tasted, I don’t really know how to explain what it tasted like – it’s kind of soury weird milk. The baby loves it, it’s the only thing he’s had a chance to have.”

Can Ashlee do something about this? He’s out of control.

mounds and mounds of money by mags from here to Guam to pimp out the baby. We just don’t want to go down that road with him.

We are not placing judgment on those that do as they often use the money in a very charitable way. However, we have made the decision to not sell Bronx’s baby pictures right now. We understand that like other celebrities have said, “there is a bounty on our heads” for these pictures. There is a danger when there are cameras being held over walls and into our backyard. We are followed day and night and that was fine when it was us but we are going to do our best to shelter Bronx from that as much as possible. Its scary to be followed by 10 cars to your home. We understand the curiosity, just not the viciousness that comes along with it when it becomes so insatiable. We know there will be a time when we’ll share him with everyone because that insatiable curiousity becomes unsafe or simply because we’re proud parents who want to show him off! We know our fans support and care about us and want to know about our family and we’ve always been straight up and open with those who care about us most, so at some time, when it makes sense, Bronx will be out in the world.

In the meantime, we’d like to say thank you to those who have allowed us relative privacy in letting us just be a family for now – and to enjoy all the happiness he’s brought us.

Why so defensive? I hate it when celebs attack rumors personally and not through their rep; they just make everything seem true.

Now I want to see Bronx: he could be cute, but he’ll probably be short when he grows up.

Page Six has reported that some unlucky son-of-a-gun will be getting axed at OK! after they destroyed Ashlee Simpson’s name on the mag cover announcing her new baby boy with Pete Wentz. Susan Toepfer was named the new Editor-in-Chief just a few weeks back, and now? Oh, the agony:

“[...] The glossy had its first big bungle. [OK!] somehow managed to misspell Ashlee Simpson’s name as “Ashley” – on the cover, no less. A rep for the magazine told Page Six, ‘It is highly embarrassing and, sadly, someone will probably be fired.’”

Imagine the finger pointing! I’m sure it was brutal. Of course, said “source” could just be lying to keep Papa Joe at bay. Any bets on whether or not someone will actually be asked to leave?

Ashlee Simpson was off somewhere getting ready to pop, but Pete Wentz was out giving oodles of cash to fight Proposition 8 in California and keep same-sex legal. OKay, TMZ doesn’t know exactly how much Pete donated, but with Brad Pitt and Steven Spielberg giving $100,000 each, Pete probably ponied up a sizable chunk as well.

Political consultant Trevor Neilson recently challenged celebs out there to contribute to the cause, stating that “I would say the entertainment community needs to step up to the plate and fight this.” If Propositon 8 is passed, the California Consitution would be amended to read that “only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognized in California.”

It looks like Trevor got his wish! Pete, Brad, and Steven aren’t the only celebrities of note supporting the cause– Sarah Chalke and some of Linkin Park were also spotted at a “No to Prop 8″ fundraiser in Hollywood this past weekend.

Everyone went crazy with the scoop that Pete and Ashlee had decided to forgo a post-wedding trip to hide from the paps, but it turns out that the rumors were all wrong.

Pete had told Ryan Seacrest that they were going to hang out in their basement, eat DiGiorno pizza and periodically sun themselves in a tanning bed this week. I think that someone was trying to get sneaky after his wedding plans got totally outed. Pete’s attempt to strike back actually worked: he was photographed in the Caribbean at the end of this week enjoying a hot honeymoon. Congrats to them for at least keeping something secret. It wasn’t a total bust, then!

I think we can lay the baby rumors to rest now. Ashlee’s looking toned.

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz are getting married after all, and they’re going to be getting a big paycheck for their efforts, compliments of People. The mag released the statement that “We’re thrilled that celebrities continue to choose PEOPLE as the place to share their most intimate photos,” but refused to give us the dirt on the payout.

Lucky for us, a source has revealed that People will be spending over seven figures (that’s a million, people!) for the wedding snaps. Meanwhile, Papa Joe Simpson is off drooling about this amount somewhere, I’m sure.

Now if only I could get my hands on the person responsible for penning “most intimate photos.” With so many (rumored) sex tapes around, it doesn’t really conjur up the right image. Ew.

Poor Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz. . . it looks like their “secret” wedding cover has been totally blown, in the fashion of many stars before them. There were rumors trickling in at the end of last week, and now we’re looking at full-fledged probing headlines. How pissed are they?!

According to, erm, everyone, they’re getting hitched on Saturday in front of 120 guests in Los Angeles. Perhaps they never should have announced their engagement and kept things totally mum so that they could get married secretly. It’s all or nothing, and even Mariah knows how to pull this off.

I’m a little disappointed in their friends for spilling, but there’s another matter still at hand. *Cough* Shot-gun wedding, anyone? Ashlee is so pregnant.
