America is apparently under attack by a new menace: child sex offenders using the deviously cunning disguise of Pedobear to target children.

Pedobear panic has now spread beyond California to Oklahoma, where a Tulsa TV station and local police have warned parents of the dangers:

Potential child predators are playing dress up and police say parents need to know they’re out there.

“You have no idea who is behind the mask,” says Tulsa Police Exploitation Sergeant John Adams. “These are pedophiles. These are people that prey on our children.”…..

n just a couple of weeks the Tulsa State Fair will kick off and attract thousands of children and possibly child predators.

Tulsa police say they will be looking for potential predators dressed in Pedobear costumes and so should parents.

Police in San Luis Obispo County, California are warning parents to be on the lookout for a serious threat to child safety: Pedobear.

Apparently not quiet understanding the true comically nature of everyone’s favorite lecherous bear, a report on KSBY-TV reads:

The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Department is warning parents about a disturbing new phenomenon made popular by pedophiles and sexual deviants.
The Pedo Bear began as an online Japanese cartoon character, and is known for his “lecherous nature” towards prepubescent children.
Recently, pedophiles have adopted the bear as a mascot.
Although there have been no reported sightings of the image on the Central Coast, individuals dressed in the bear costume and car decals have been seen in Southern California.

A picture shown in the report shows an appearance by Pedobear at…wait for it…ComicCon.

The above picture is a screenshot from conservative website Taki’s Magazine. The article by Pat Buchanan is nothing out of the ordinary, but the image is: that’s Obama and Pedobear.

The obvious questions arise: is this an error by the Republican’s behind the site who perhaps don’t know who Pedobear is? or is the next line of Republican attack going to suggest that Obama fiddles with 9 year old girls?

I can also think of some certain users on a certain forum which might find the image offensive because Obama isn’t worthy of appearing next to Pedobear either.

Al-Qaeda is using pedophile websites to plot terror attacks on Britain according to British Security Services.

Al-Qaeda is using the sites due to the levels of security employed: paedophile sites are said to be password-protected and encrypted to avoid detection from police, which apparently makes them great for secretly plotting terrorist attacks as well.

A security source quoted in The Mirror said “Using child pornography sites appears to be al-Qaeda’s latest desperate attempt to avoid detection. Sadly, the high levels of secrecy, passwords and encryption demanded by paedophiles means their websites can offer good cover for terrorists.”

Pedophiles and terrorists: a snappy headline waiting to be had, but not really surprising either.
