Twilight actress Nikki Reed once again proves celebrities are just like us- they love to talk at length about the details of their weddings and such on social media sites!

In addition to a formal statement, Reed took to Twitter to discuss her feelings about her recent wedding, an event she dubs “most magical day of [her] life…” Reed wed Paul McDonald in Malibu Sunday, with about 100 people present. After the wedding- which was very intimate by Hollywood standards- the couple said in a statement:

“We couldn’t be happier! [We were] surrounded by our family and friends. We’re so glad this day has come!”

McDonald also commented on the nuptials, hitting Twitter to enthuse:

“Yesterday was the most amazing day of my life. Everything was perfect. I’m officially a MARRIED MAN! Woohoo!”

The couple have been dating for months- starting in April- and McDonald was excited about Reed from the start. Speaking to MTV news back when they first hooked up, he dished on his feelings for the Twilight star:

“She’s amazing. It’s kind of one of those things you don’t expect. Like, last year I never would have thought I’d be getting married. She’s amazing. She’s the perfect girl. We fit each other. When you know, you know, and she’s the one.”

McDonald took quite a hand in planning the festivities as well, Reed said. She commented before the wedding:

“He’s doing a lot of it, he is. He’s, like, taking control [of the wedding planning.] He sits with his computer in between songs and is kind of on a roll with everything.”

Twilight fans are eagerly awaiting Bella and Edward’s fictional wedding, but before the new movie comes out, fans can celebrate the nuptials of Twiligtht beauty Nikki Reed and her new husband, American Idol alum, Paul McDonald.

US Weekly reports that Reed and McDonald got married last night at a private ranch in Malibu, California in front of about 100 guests.

McDonald said:

“We couldn’t be happier… [We were] surrounded by our family and friends. We’re so glad this day has come.”

Reed and McDonald’s courtship was relatively short. The Inquisitr reported in June that the couple had gotten engaged after just two months of dating.

Reed said at the time:

“I love him and I don’t care. I’ve never met anyone like him. I’ve never met anyone who has such a good solid heart and comes from such a good solid family and is just a genuine person. We have the exact same sense of humor. I’ve never laughed so much with anyone as I do with him.”

McDonald said:

“I haven’t ever actually watched any of her movies. I don’t know too much of her career at all, but the person she is is super cool. “We fit each other; when you know, you know, and she’s the one.”

Access Hollywood reports that Reed’s longtime friend and “Spy Kids” star Alexa Vega served as the maid of honor. McDonald and his band, Grand Magnolias, treated guests to a surprise performance.

Talk about ‘love at first site’- Nikki Reed, who plays Rosalie Hale in the Twilight flicks, and American Idol finalist Paul McDonald are engaged.

The young couple, who met and began dating in March of this year, were seen together jewelry shopping at the Topanga Days festival last weekend. However, it wasn’t until the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday night that we got to see Nikki sporting her new ‘bling’, a sure sign that McDonald had proposed.

When recently questioned about her whirlwind romance with Paul, Reed said:

“I love him and I don’t care. I’ve never met anyone like him. I’ve never met anyone who has such a good solid heart and comes from such a good solid family and is just a genuine person. We have the exact same sense of humor. I’ve never laughed so much with anyone as I do with him.”

Sounds like a match made in pop-star heaven.

While looking up Twilight movie reviews and listings (screaming fans, show yourselves!), you might want to check out an MTV Exclusive that’s looking past 2008 and onto Kristen Stewart’s next role– as a man. According to their report, Twilight co-stars Kristen Stewart and Nikki Reed will reunite in a few weeks in a film called K-11.

Reed revealed earlier this week that “I’m doing a movie called ‘K-11’ in January with Kristen Stewart. It’s about a little-known section of the men’s county jail. I’m playing a man, and Kristen’s playing a boy.”

Jules Stewart, Kristen’s Stewart’s mother, is said to be directing the film, which is based on the dormitory section called “K-11″ in the Los Angeles jail used to house gay inmates. Regarding their next parts played as men, Reed said that “I suppose I would be [nervous about the handling of our transformations] if it were coming from left field, but I’ve known about the script for a very long time.”

Now that’s a change from Twilight madness!
