Nicole Richie Hospitalized With Pneumonia

Nicole Richie has been hospitalized with pneumonia.

The reality TV star was taken to the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles after complaining of feeling unwell and doctors quickly diagnosed her as suffering from the illness.

Her representative said, “Nicole has checked into Cedars-Sinai where she is being treated for pneumonia. She is doing well.”

Over the weekend, Nicole, who has two children, 22-month-old Harlow and two-month-old Sparrow with partner Joel Madden, had spoken about not feeling well.

She wrote on her Twitter page, “OK cold, it’s been six days. Let’s part ways graciously and keep it moving.”

Earlier this week, Nicole was granted a restraining order against two paparazzi who she claims caused her recent car accident.

The 28-year-old socialite appeared in court to testify how the two male photographers, Eduardo Arrivabene and Ivon Miguel, had been hounding her constantly.

The judge ruled the two men are to stay 50 yards away from Nicole and her two children for the next three years.

Nicole Richie’s Halloween Dilemma

Nicole Richie and her daughter can’t decide on a Halloween costume for the toddler to wear.

The reality TV star, who has 21-month-old daughter Harlow and newborn Sparrow with partner Joel Madden, says the family are struggling to agree on what outfits they will wear to a ghoulish party on Saturday October 31.

She said, “I wanted Harlow to be something from Alice in Wonderland, but she really wants to be Tinkerbell.”

However, the 28-year-old star – who plans to dress as a white rabbit – says her son is much easier to please than her daughter.

Nicole explained to TV show ‘Extra’, “I will wrap Sparrow up in toilet paper and make him a little mummy. He doesn’t care.”

Meanwhile, Joel – who will miss the spooky bash because of work commitments in Australia – believes he has the perfect costumes for his three loved ones.

He laughed, “I had an idea that I would be the beekeeper and they could be the bees. But that didn’t appeal to Nicole too much!”

Nicole Richie and Joel Have Wed in Secret

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden have reportedly got married.

According to website RadarOnline, the couple who celebrated the birth of their second child, son Sparrow, last month – are rumored to have secretly tied the knot in an intimate service on Wednesday October 14, after obtaining a marriage license last week.

A spokesperson for the couple, who also have a 21-month-old daughter Harlow, is yet to comment on the reports but further speculation was fueled after Nicole and Joel registered Sparrow’s birth.

The little boy’s full name is listed Sparrow James Midnight Madden, while Harlow’s entire moniker is Harlow Winter Kate Richie Madden.

The news comes after it was revealed Nicole was keen to wed the Good Charlotte rocker following the death of her ex-fiance DJ AM, real name Adam Goldstein, in August.

A source said, “Nicole has never been in a rush to get married to Joel. She’s so happy with him and their little family that she didn’t feel the need to change the way things were between them.

“But when Adam died, she freaked out. She realised life is fragile and short. She doesn’t want to have any regrets at all, and she does want to be Joel’s wife.”

The 27-year-old star, who is expecting her second child with partner Joel Madden, reportedly checked into a Los Angeles medical centre at the end of last week.

Gossip website X17 reports: “The day after DJ AM’s memorial, rumours began to fly that Nicole Richie – Adam Goldstein’s former fiancee – was admitted to a local Los Angeles hospital. Could she finally be ready to give birth???”

Nicole’s due date is believed to be early September.

Nicole – who already has 19-month-old daughter Harlow with Joel – attended the ceremony in remembrance of DJ AM on Thursday (03.09.09).

An onlooker said: “The crowd was very hip and eclectic. It was a very sombre and sad crowd.”

The service was structured like an Alcoholics Anonymous 12 steps meeting in tribute to the 36-year-old star, who had battled substance abuse.

Joel has previously revealed he and Nicole can’t wait to welcome their second child into the world.

The Good Charlotte frontman said: “We’re excited about it. It’s going to be great.”

Nicole’s father, singer Lionel Richie, recently confessed he hopes the couple will have a son.

He said: “It’s very exciting. Joel is hoping for a boy, but knowing Nicole she’s hoping for a little girl again. They’re not telling me what sex the baby is because I’ll tell everyone!

“Nicole is the mom of moms. She’s in love with the whole concept.”
