Snooki Says Her Partying Days Are Over

Snooki says her wild partying days are over. The former Jersey Shore star told Matt Lauer that she has been partying forever and motherhood now takes precedence. The Today show host looked a bit uncomfortable when discussing the reality show star’s concerns over “sagging boobs” and her mommy pouch.

Nicole Polizzi was very excited about Lorenzo receiving his Social Security card, she stated the he is “officially a human” and is even “like a person” now. Snooki also discussed how she lost 42-pounds after she gave birth to Lorenzo. She lost about 20 pounds during breast feeding and then began working out and eating a healthier diet.

The former Jersey Shore star reportedly cut her food intake down to 1,300 calories per day and laid off the junk food she loved tossing back before her pregnancy. She worked with personal trainer pal Anthony to get into shape and ate “express meals.”

Snooki’s drinking habits have also reportedly changed drastically. She noted that she does not really miss partying and is really “into” her family right now. The former Jersey Shore star maintains that she really does not drink anymore, but when she does, she gets drunk after just three sips. Snooki will not totally disappear from the social scene, she noted she enjoys going out with her girlfriends for a glass of wine.

Nicole Polizzi is very happy with her new body, but plans on getting some work done once she is done having children. Snooki’s breasts are apparently the reality show’s star pressing concern. She told Matt Lauer that they look alright in a bar, but when her mom boobs are set free, there is simply too much floppiness going on for the young woman to tolerate.

The Jersey Shore star still want to tone her legs more, but feels she has a much healthier body image now. Baby Lorenzo is now 6-months old. When Snooki is not busy hitting the gym or caring for the baby, she is planning her upcoming wedding.

Lorenzo Dominic LaValle, the baby boy of Nicole Snooki Polizzi and Jionni Lavalle, may not be even a week, old but he’s already landed his first magazine cover.

The Jersey Shore star and her baby Lorenzo grace the cover of the most recent issue of People Magazine.

Snooki, 24, said:

“It’s a different kind of love that I never felt before.”

Snooki and Jionni welcomed baby Lorenzo on August 26. Since the birth of their baby boy, fans have been asking about how they chose “Lorenzo” for a name.

Jionni said:

“We were going back and forth, and I just happened to think of Lorenzo … She loved it.”

People Magazine reports that they chose the baby’s middle name, Dominic, after Polizzi’s late uncle.

Now that she’s a mother, Snooki says that her partying days are over. That may be one of the key reasons that MTV’s Jersey Shore recently got cancelled. Snooki will appear on the final season of Jersey Shore but said that she wouldn’t be up to her usual drunken antics.

Snooki said:

“When I got pregnant, everything changed … The partying is long gone. I’m a new person.”

People Magazine may have the first official photos of Snooki and her new baby, but the reality star has sent a few images out already on Twitter.

Snooki Breastfeeding, Shouts Out Nursing Moms On Twitter

Jersey Shore‘s Snooki, newly a mom to son Lorenzo LaValle, has joined the ranks of proud breastfeeders, the reality show star has revealed on Twitter.

Yes, Snooki is breastfeeding and has forced us here at the Inquisitr to do what we have not to our knowledge yet done — give the orange-hued partier her due and a large amount of props.

Given Snooki’s vocal distaste of pregnancy and some of the things she said about motherhood before giving birth to Lorenzo, one might have stereotyped Snooki as a mom not interested in even giving breastfeeding a shot.

But it seems that even in the few days Snooki has been a mom to little Lorenzo, she’s mellowed out a bit. On Twitter, Snooki has admitted that motherhood (especially in the early days) isn’t exactly a walk on the red carpet and lacks glamor — but the star’s comments on nursing are pretty much by far and away the most interesting things Snooki has said in our recall.

Snooki’s admission followed a question from a mom on Twitter, and the mom asked:

@snooki are you nursing?? If so SHOUT IT OUT PROUD!! Future moms need to know how wonderful it is! (maybe not yet but its worth it!)

Miss Polizzi happened to catch the original tweeter’s tweet, and summarily replied that not only is she breastfeeding, but she loves it! Snooki says:

Snooki Sounds Off On Motherhood Via Twitter

Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi spent her Sunday coddling her newborn baby boy and showing him off to an entourage of family and friends in a New Jersey maternity ward.

We previously reported that Snooki gave birth to Lorenzo Dominic LaValle at 3am Sunday at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, New Jersey. Little Lorenzo weighed in at 6 pounds, 5 ounces and shares the same birthday as Mother Teresa and Home Alone‘s Macaulay Culkin. Snooki took to Twitter to announce Lorenzo’s arrival to some 5.5 million followers, announcing that she, fiancé Jionni LaValle, and Lorenzo were all doing well.

“Jionni is such a cute dad,” Snooki tweeted.

Snooki’s parents, Helen and Andy Polizzi, were present for Lorenzo’s birth, as well as Jersey Shore co-star Jenni “JWoww” Farley.

“So happy for Snooks and Jionni and the newest addition to our shore family, Baby Lorenzo!” Snooki’s former Jersey Shore co-star Pauly D told NY Daily. “Uncle Pauly is ready to teach that li’l dude how to deejay. I think I may need to remix him his own lullaby.”

Snooki also incited a bit of controversy over the birth of Lorenzo, offending the mother of a woman in a high-risk delivery on the same floor. “They took over the whole floor. They were obnoxious,” the expectant grandmother said of Snooki’s entourage. She also said that most of the expectant mothers were moved from the floor to make room for Snooki. “It was so disrespectful,” she said. “Why does she [Snooki] matter more than our daughter?”

Because she’s on TV. Duh!

Jenelle Evans Blasts Snooki On Twitter: ‘You Think I’m A Bad Mom?’

Reality TV celeb Jenelle Evans (of some Teen Mom and legal infamy) took to Twitter to blast another reality TV starlet over her pregnancy. Evans burned Jersey Shore’s Snooki on the popular micro-blogging site this week, showing her marked disapproval of Snooki’s advent motherhood.

It all started with a quote attributed to Shore’s Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi that appeared on Reddit. It read:

“There is no way I’m changing any diapers when my baby is born. That is disgusting. That’s what maids are for and babysitters. I don’t have time for that. I’ll have them do that stuff,” says the quote. “I’ll be there for the good parts, like dressing my son up and making sure he got style. You don’t have to cook or clean or change diapers to be a good mother. My son will have everything he wants. He’s going to be a little star like his mommy.”

This apparently infuriated Jenelle Evans, mother to the now-3-year-old Jace. Evans has faced criticism of her own over how she takes care of her child (or doesn’t, depending on how you feel) and apparently felt it was time to share some of this vitriol with Snooki over Twitter, attacking the expectant mother’s apparent plans for her coming son, Lorenzo.

Here’s the kicker: The Snooki quote? Completely fabricated, notes MSN. Snooki took to Twitter herself to dispel rumors that she wouldn’t be changing little Lorenzo diapeys and take a jab back at Evans (though arguably with more class). “FYI, I can’t wait to change my kids shitty diapers & I don’t even believe in maids. Just sayin,” she tweeted.

New Jersey Towns Say No Thanks To ‘Jersey Shore’ Spin-Off

Two New Jersey towns have turned down an opportunity for Jersey Shore stars Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and Jennifer “JWoww” Farley to tape parts of their new television show at area watering holes, according to The Associated Press. The Point Pleasant Beach Council, which has attempted to set earlier closing times for bars and currently restricts overnight parking, unanimously voted against Snooki & JWoww producers 495 Productions’ request to shoot part of their show in the town.

Although producers insist that its stars would live outside of city limits, the council explained that having a Jersey Shore spin-off filmed in their neck of the woods isn’t what the town needs at this stage in the game.

The AP also stated that nearby Toms River turned down the production company’s request as well. It would seem that allowing the Jersey Shore alumni in your town isn’t good PR these days.

The controversial reality show, which began its run on MTV in December of 2009, has been a hot-button issue for New Jersey residents who feel the program portrays the state in a very poor light. However, despite the controversy surrounding its cast, the show has been a huge hit. Season five just came to an end last May, and MTV claims a sixth season is currently in the works.

In the meantime, cast members have struck out with their own individual endeavors. Polizzi and Farley decided to join forces for the Jersey Shore spin-off Snooki & JWoww, which premiered on June 21. Its stars reportedly describe the show as a modern-day version of Laverne & Shirley. Although the program was to initially focus on the party-oriented antics of Snooki and Jwoww, Polizzi’s pregnancy ultimately forced producers to change the show’s tone and direction.

Due to the program’s popularity, MTV ordered another season on August 3. It would seem the adventures of the Jersey Shore crew will continue, for better or for worse.

Snooki Booed At Mets Game While Trying To Lead Cheer

Snooki appeared at a Mets game on Monday, but fans of the fast-sinking team wanted no part of it.

The real-life Mets fan, whose real-life name is Nicole Polizzi, appeared at Citi Field at a game between the Mets and the Washington Nationals. Along with her fiance Jionni LaValle, a pregnant Snooki appeared at the Mets game in a promotion planned by the team.

Snooki posed for pictures on the field and met with third baseman David Wright, WFAN reported. But when it came time for the “Jersey Shore” star to lead a “Let’s Go Mets” cheer on the stadium’s scoreboard, the boos poured in so loudly that it completely drowned her out.

To be fair, Mets fans were probably already grumpy even before Snooki appeared. The team has lost 10 of its last 11 games, dropping out of contention in one of the league’s most competitive divisions. At the Snooki game the Mets lost 8-2 in 10 innings. And to make matters worse, the Mets have now gone more than three games without having so much as a lead.

Snooki’s appearance wasn’t the only thing strange about the Mets game. The team also hosted “Star Wars Night,’ inviting a colorful mix of attendants, NBC Washington noted. Between Snooki and the assorted costumed Star Wars characters it made for a very weird atmosphere, the report said.

Snooki had a sense of humor about her Mets game incident. After the bashing continued on Twitter, Snooki responded to several of her detractors in stride.

She also expressed optimism for the team itself.

Snooki is fighting criticism that she’ll be a bad mom by picking up advice from some of the celebrity-mom greats, like Kelly Ripa. In a Tuesday interview, Snooki picked Ripa’s brains about all sorts of mom-related stuff – including post-birth bowel habits.

Pregnant Snooki stopped by Live! With Kelly yesterday to have a little chat with host Kelly Rips about her expectant motherhood. Ripa having hosted Snooki back in February amidst early pregnancy rumors, teased the Jersey Shore starlet for being less than honest during her last appearance. After playing a clip of her last stop in on the show, Snooki joked, “I’m a good liar,” explaining that she was reluctant to say anything about her pregnancy to the media until she was three months along, reports the Huffington Post.

Quickly changing the subject, Snooki asked “Did you poop?” referencing the popular notion that pregnant women tend to expel their bowels during childbirth. Co-host Josh Groban intently awaited Ripa’s answer. “No … I have never pooped ever,” Ripa teased.

In other news, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi recently tweeted a photo of herself sans-makeup, prompting much media-outlet support. “Nicole looks so much better without the war paint,” quipped Web Pro News. “If Snooki really wants to shock audiences, she’ll do the rest of her stint on her latest television show sans make-up. I think she’ll be pleasantly surprised by the positive response she’ll receive as a result.”

Nicole Polizzi, better known as Snooki, has been outed by co-stars on her reality spinoff show “Snooki & JWOWW,” When the cast yelled out “Lorenzo” during a group interview.

Cinema Blend reports that Snooki was outed when the Jersey Shore girls sat down for an interview. When the reporter asked what her baby’s name would be, her bestie, Jenni Farley, outed her by accident, loudly proclaiming that his name would be Lorenzo.

JWoww tried to cover up the slip, saying that the name was simply one of the major names Polizzi and her fiance Jionni LaValle are thinking about, but it seems that Snooki was having none of it, saying, “no, it’s done.”

Cinema Blend writer Jessica Grabert writes of the moniker that:

“I can’t tell you how happy I am the kid’s namesake won’t be a fruit, or any of the GTL components. There are worse names to be had than Lorenzo, kid.”

According to The New York Daily News, Nicole Polizzi is dropping two bombs on castmates in the next two episodes of “Snooki & JWOWW,” with the first taking place Thursday night, when Snooki has the Jersey Shore cast over for dinner to tell them she’s engaged to beau LaValle. Polizzi told the Daily News of the announcement that:

“I didn’t exactly get the reaction I wanted. It actually made me really upset. My roommates and I joke a lot, so they kind of took it as a joke. But I take this very seriously — this is my life.”

Jenni “JWoww” Farley tells the Daily News that:

“On a personal level, some of the roommates might have been harsher than expected. I knew going in the boys would be joking, because that’s how all guys are. They have that big brother reaction. But the girls are sincere and excited. They picture wedding bells and princess time where they get to dress up.”

She also talked about her own plans with boyfriend Roger Matthews, proclaiming that she wants to hold off on having kids, especially after seeing Snooki’s pregnancy. She stated, “Roger and I have definitely talked about it, but we realize that when you have children, you are no longer selfish.”

Snooki Practicing For Baby By Pushing Beer-Filled Stroller [Pics]

Snooki is really getting her rear in gear for this baby-thing that’s supposed to be happening in August. She has left partying and boozing behind, and is even getting in some practice with her stroller by… filling it with party supplies and beer.

Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi was decked out in hot pink shades and an XL brown shirt reading “Boss,” hiding her growing baby bump as she strolled through Seaside Heights, N.J., on Monday, reports People. Apparently Snooks thought she’d get a bit of early stroller practice in along with her walk, and we’re hoping the beer in the baby stroller is for her Jersey Shore roomies – she better not be imbibing that far along!

In her defense, Snooki has said that she has left drinking behind her. “It’s different because now I’m not drinking,” Snooki told the press back in April. “I’m usually partying and going to clubs but pregnancy made me grow up a lot.”

UPDATE: According to Gawker, Snooki was only on a beer-run for her Shore cast-mates who were all attending a bonfire. Thought hey all got pretty wasted at the event, Snooki merely watched on. Good for you, Snooks!

Snooki and fiancé Jionni LaValle are expecting their first child together in August, and are already preparing themselves for life with kids, reports NY Daily. “Me and Jionni have made a rule: If we’re hungover or if we’ve had two drinks, we’re not going near the child,” she said in June. “We’ll give him to Grandma. God forbid we drop our baby.”

Nude Snooki Photos Leaked Online

Want to see Snooki naked? The reality star is doing her best to tone down her partying image now that she’s pregnant, but Nicole Polizzi can’t seem to escape her risqué history as a series of nude photos of the reality star were recently leaked online.

Snooki’s rep didn’t try to deny the authenticity of the photos. Her rep confirmed to E! News that the photos were really of Snooki and were taken before the star was pregnant. The celebrity’s rep did say that it was a shame that someone decided to leak the personal photos. (One of the nude photos of Snooki is posted below. The rep said:

“Clearly these are old and personal photos that were not meant for the public. It’s a shame someone decided to leak them for obvious personal gain.”

According to the Huffington Post, this isn’t the first time that naked photos of Snooki have been leaked online. In 2010, nude photos of the star were posted to nakedSnooki.com. Polizzi, however, denied that the photos were authentic.

At the time Snooki said:

“There are no nude photos nor will there ever be. The tabloids just love snook gossip ;]”

Snooki Reveals She’s Having a Boy

Jersey Shore star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi is pregnant, and has revealed the sex of her baby. It turns out, Snooki and fiancé Jionni LaValle are expecting a baby boy, confirmed on Snooki’s Facebook page.

“Can finally share the good news……we’re havin’ a BOY,” Snooki said in the post.

“Everyone said I was going to have a boy, and they were right!” Snooki told InTouch, admitting that she was a bit crestfallen that she wasn’t having a girl. Several weeks ago, Snooki was spotted shopping for baby products (of the pink variety) leading to some speculation that she was expecting a girl, but the recent news relegates that shopping spree to “simply browsing”. Despite her unfulfilled expectations, Snooki is still very excited to be having a little boy, and is planning on naming him either Lorenzo or Jionni Jr. after her fiancé, Jionni.

Twitter has allowed Snooki’s fans to follow the reality star’s journey into motherhood moment by moment. “Ah I can’t wait to see my little one whose either going to be a dedicated cheerleader like mommy or a strong wrestler like daddy,” she tweeted on April 2. “I got swagger with my pregnant self,” she tweeted in March, along with a picture of her cleavage.

Snooki’s pregnancy won’t affect her stint on Jersey Shore either – at least not much. Though she will still be on the show, she won’t be living at the Seaside Heights house, rather living in a smaller abode nearby.

Snooki Can’t Wait To Be A ‘MILF’

In Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi’s first interview since confirming rumors that the is, indeed, pregnant, the reality star told MTV, “it’s better because now I can be a MILF.” For those unsure of the term, it refers to a sexually attractive mom. Among other things, Snooki claimed to be “in full mom mode” since learning of the pregnancy in January.

The TV reality star, who is 24, said that the pregnancy (and engagement to boyfriend Jionni LaValle) happened quickly, but now that she is over the shock of it, she is looking forward to having a kid.

She also claimed that her Jersey Shore partying ways prepared her well for being pregnant. Snooki joked that, “Pregnancy sickness is just like you’re hungover.”

Her co-star Pauly D recently told MTV that he is excited for Snooki and her fiance, Jionni LaValle. He said that, “I want to be [in] the delivery room…I love babies. I love everything about them, when they’re not yours. So I’ll take care of it, spoil it and then when it’s crying, give it back to Snooki.”

Jersey Shore, the reality show that made her famous, wrapped up it’s fifth season on Thursday, and showed Snooki up to her usual antics, sans alcohol of course.

She is currently filming a Jersey Shore spin-off season with fellow guidette JWoww. Production is currently in Jersey City, though the “Examiner” reported that the two are currently enjoying a pregnancy-friendly Spring Break vacation in Cancun.

Snooki J-Woww Hint “The Situation” May Be Gay

Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino is livid at the the idea that he may be gay. It has long been speculated that the Jersey Shore actor harbored some love for the same sex, but those rumors were almost confirmed by his co-stars Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and Jenni “JWoww” Farley.

The Situation supposedly has hit back at his former housemates for the interview they gave to the HuffPost Gay Voices.

“Mike really ripped both Snooki and JWoww a new one,” a show insider told the Chicago Sun-Times. The Situation is really concerned that rumors about his sexuality could affect his branded products which are primarily marketed to the straight alpha male type.

The source added,

“He’s extremely upset.”

In the interview, both JWoww and Snooki implied that despite his playboy reputation, Mike has questioned his own sexuality.

JWoww said in the interview,

“He brings it up. He’ll say, ‘People think I’m gay and I don’t know what they’re talking about.’”

Snooki jumped right in saying,

“He told me one time, ‘[All the talk is] making me wonder.’”

JWoww went on to relate that she had a friend whose husband was gay and didn’t come out of the closet until 27 years after he was married.

She said that because of that instance in her life,

“So because of that I know…the signs,”

The Situation’s publicist slammed Snooki and J-Woww commenting that their statements were

“the most ridiculous statement I’ve ever heard”

Former “Jersey Shore” star Angelina Pivarnick had also questioned the Situation’s sexuality telling Popeater,

“I think Mike is gay. I think he’s gay because of the way he talks and the way he abuses girls. He talks down to women…I honestly feel like he’s in the closet right now; he doesn’t want to come out.”

Snooki Without Makeup? Jersey Shore Star Actually Looks Human

Snooki is typically caked in bronzer, adorned with fake eye lashes, and painted with eye shadow, but the “Jersey Shore” star decided to go au naturel this week. Snooki without makeup, AKA Nicole Polizzi, actually looks pretty good when she isn’t hiding behind 8-layers of spray on tan.

Snooki posted a picture of herself without makeup on her Twitter account.

Snooki wrote:

“No make up day and IDC (I don’t care).”

After the picture went up, several fans complimented Polizzi and her less trashy appearance. A surprised Snooki wrote:

“Can I just say how amazing my fans/supporters are! You guys really know how to put a smile on my face! Love you all beyond words.”

What do you think of Snooki’s natural look? Do you think she looks better like this or when she slathers on the makeup?

Snooki has really been concentrated on her appearance lately. The “Jersey Shore” star has been working out constantly and has already dropped more than 20 pounds. Snooki is also trying to lay off the booze a little more now that she’s 24.

Snookie said:

“I decided to get fit again. I’ve always been very athletic so getting back into it feels good.”

Of course, Polizzi isn’t entirely happy with the natural look. Snooki, who just got a new tattoo, said earlier this month that she plans on getting breast implants.

Snooki said:

“I hope in the next couple of months. They’re a good size now, but I want them like this when I’m not wearing a bra.”

All Snooki Wants (After) Christmas? Boob Job And $500k Engagement Ring

Jersey Shore Star Nicole Polizzi, better known by her household-handle “Snooki”, has two big things on her mind: a $500,000 monogamy-rock from boyfriend Jionni Lavalle… and a boob job. Maybe that’s three things.

We’ll give her credit on her weight loss. Jersey Shore’s hobbit is down to 102 pounds, and for what? Vanity? She says commitment to health and exercise, as well as saying “no” to the bottle more often than not. Good for her. But all of this self-improvement can’t be totally vanity-free, can it?

Not too long ago, she tweeted that she wanted “knockers” like Jersey Shore gal-pal Jennifer Farley (JWoww), and according to reports, this is happening “Very soon. Very soon.”

“I hope in the next couple of months,” she said. “”They’re a good size now, but I want them like this when I’m not wearing a bra.”

JWoww is even going to hook Snooks up with her boob-doc for the surgery.

“I’m definitely taking her to my doctor,” she said. “I’ll go in and get mine redone to make her feel better.”

Well ain’t that sweet.

The two besties are currently looking for a house together (which will come with a spin-off show) and have hinted at settling down (which will probably also come with a spin-off show).

Snooki has at least been trying on engagement rings, and the one that caught her eye came with a price-tag of $500,000 dangling from it. Boyfriend-of-one-year Jionni Lavalle made her take it off immediately:

“Jionni made me take it off,” she admitted. “He was like, ‘Don’t even think about it.’ It was like this big and sparkly and amazing ring. I just want a big one.”

Jersey Shore Star Snooki Hit With $7 Million Dollar Lawsuit

Things are not going well for Jersey Shore Power Midget Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi. The New York Post is reporting that the reality star is being hit with a $7 Million dollar lawsuit accusing her of sabotaging a merchandising deal they had together by negotiating with other companies without their permission.

Snooki signed a deal with SRG Ventures to launch a wide range of Snooki themed products including sunglasses, swimwear and other products. She had filed suit against them earlier this year for failing to live up to their side of the bargain.

The Jersey shore has been embroiled in controversy for many years now. While they were filming a season of the MTV reality show in Italy, Snooki was arrested for public intoxication. There have been episodes of the show where fights have broken out, most notably when one of the show’s female cast was punched in the face by a man at an altercation at a bar.

Also from the Jersey Shore cast, Mike Sorrentino, known on the show as The Situation, filed a $4 million dollar lawsuit against Abercrombie and Fitch claiming they illegally used his name and popularity to sell their clothes without receiving his permission

In a bizarre twist, Abercrombie and Fitch had asked the actor to please NOT wear their clothing so their core audience would not associate their clothing with his brand. The Situation filed the lawsuit because he claims he never received any compensation from the clothing retailer and they used his fame to sell clothing.

Snooki Taken Into Police Custody in Italy

You probably know the cast of Jersey Shore has been classing up the Italian landscape to film the next season of their hit reality show.

Cast member Snooki, is probably the most famous of the lot due to the time she totally got punched in the face by a dude. We also recently learned that the guido queen makes more for speaking appearances than Nobel Prize winner Toni Morrison. Via THG, we learn of a TMZ report that Snooki, aka Nicole Polizzi, was taken into custody briefly in Italy for plowing into a police car:

Sources tell TMZ that alcohol actually did not play a role in the incident, as the Jersey Shore star simply crashed into the back of the patrol car, ending up with her vehicle stuck between the cop’s ride and a highway protection wall.

JWoww was a passenger had to escape through the window. Snooki was taken to the local police station, but not formally arrested.

Snooki Uses Cool Finishing Move In WWE Appearance [Unexpected Video]

Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi of Jersey Shore fame took some time out of her reality TV show schedule this week to appear at Wrestlemania XXVII and while we were more than prepared to make fun of the party girl, what we ended up with was one really cool finishing move.

Watch the video below as Snooki uses a double handspring to take down WWE star Michelle McCool with a finishing elbow.

Maybe not the most exciting finishing move in WWE history, but the fans sure seemed to like it. Just a quick note, Nicole was a cheerleader in high school, so we should have seen it coming, but admittedly I was stunned.
