Actor Nicolas Cage opened up about a bizarre home invasion incident he says was not nearly as funny as it sounds.

Cage, who is starring with Nicole Kidman in the upcoming Trespass, says that no one was harmed and charges were not pressed when the strange incident occurred. And he acknowledged that the whole situation sounds humorous, but the actor- who now lives in the Bahamas- could no longer stay in the home in which he lived following the incident because it was so unsettling.

Cage was in his bed, asleep, at the time of the home invasion. And it wasn’t a “bursting in with guns and stealing stuff” type thing- but the lack of violence and intent could have made it all the more scarier. Cage recalls:

“It was two in the morning. I was living in Orange County at the time and was asleep with my wife. My two-year old at the time was in another room. I opened my eyes and there was a naked man wearing my leather jacket eating a Fudgesicle in front of my bed… I know it sounds funny … but it was horrifying.”

Cage’s new film Trespass is about a home invasion as well, centering around a wealthy man in his mansion and a group of “thieves” who “con” their way in. Cage describes the film as about “haves” and “have-nots” as well as “class warfare” in America. Below is a trailer for Trespass, which will be out in theaters nationwide later this year.

Actor James Franco was originally set to join the cast of the Broadway revival of Tennessee Williams’ Sweet Bird of Youth in just a few months, but Franco’s publicist confirmed recently that the actor has backed out of the show.

Additionally, Sweet Bird of Youth director David Cromer stated in an interview that the show would still go on without Franco, but Cromer showed uncertainty as to just when the Broadway revival is expected to begin.

Sweet Bird of Youth is a 1959 play about Chance Wayne, a gigalo, who’s looking to use Alexandra Del Lago, a faded Hollywood actress, to break into the movie industry. The original play starred Paul Newman alongside Geraldine page, and ran for 10 months.

Excitement was starting to build up after the revival’s announcement, due in no small part to the high profile cast, including James Franco as Chance Wayne and Nicole Kidman as Alexandra Del Lago.

Franco’s publicist didn’t provide a reason for Franco’s decision to pull out of the production, but it may have something to do with the rather high number of projects he’s currently on, all in various stages of production – including Oz: The Great and Powerful, a prequel to the classic Wizard of Oz.

In addition to going peroxide blonde for her part in the upcoming thriller Paperboy, the 44-year-old Moulin Rouge star has been cast in the lead role for another spine-chiller – Stoker.

Stoker, a Park Chan-Wook directed film slated for release sometime in 2012, tells the story of an eccentric teen, India, whose enigmatic and estranged uncle returns to the family following the death of the girl’s father.

When people mysteriously start to go missing in her hometown at the same time, India begins to believe that her uncle may be the cause.

According to Indiewire, Kidman is set to play the role of the little girl’s mother and will be joined by a heavy hitting array of talent including Matthew Goode, Jacki Weaver, Lucas Till, and Mia Wasikowska.

While very few details are known about the film, we can expect that Chan-Wook – whose other films such as Oldboy and Thirst are famous for their immaculate framing, brutal subject matter, and epic twists – has more than a few surprises up his sleeve.

When I close my eyes and picture Nicole Kidman I see bright red hair, a signature look for the A-list actress, but now that hair has been replaced with a new bleached blonde hairdo for her new role in The Paperboy.

The movie is filming in New Orleans, Louisiana and  Kidman showed up on the set today with her new haircut and kohl eyeliner alongside a bright green outfit.

The Paperboy is a movie about a reporter and his brother who attempt to exonerate a man they believe to be innocent but who is sentenced to death, while Kidman’s character is a female with a dark side who writes letters to men on death row.

The move also stars Zac Efron and Matthew McConaughney.

Connor Cruise ,the 16 year old son of Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman is focusing on his career in the music business. Connor originally was thought to be following in his parents footsteps when he made his acting debut in the film Seven Pounds and more recently completed his second film, Red Dawn.

Instead Connor and his close friend Jake Isham have started their own Entertainment business named Cz Entertainment where they can show off their skills as Disc Jockeys. Connor is said to perform under the alias DJ C-Squared and according to a People magazine source, is quite the artist.

Nicole Kidman has been spotted with a possible baby bump, sparking speculation that she is pregnant with her second child.

The baby bump was spotted while Kidman was attending the Japan premiere of the movie Australia.

Nicole was snapped placing both of her hands on her stomach, body language which so-called experts claim is proof of her having a baby on board.

A representative of Kidman denied the rumors. Kidman’s first naturally born child was delivered only 7 months ago. She also looks as skinny as a rake to me in the shot, but then again, I’m not an expert either

Australians in Film board vice president Paula Paizes stated that “[AIF] received a staggering number of applications, and the caliber of applicants is extremely high. Michelle Williams is also a benefactor of the fund, which was conceived to honor the memory of Heath Ledger. In addition to this notable dedication supported by colleagues and friends, Christian Bale honored Ledger while on the podium of the People’s Choice Awards just yesterday, saying “On behalf of all of the cast from the movie, thank you very much to the fans. Remember Connor Cruise? He is the less photographed and less talked about, adopted kid of Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman. He was adopted before adopting was de riguer amongst celebs.

Well it seems if you have the biological kids, the adopted kids get pushed to the side. Connor Cruise debuted in the movie Seven Pounds, as a young Will Smith. This week saw the LA premiere of Seven Pounds which WIll Smith and Connor Cruise both appeared at. Tom and Nicole didn’t even bother to show up.

No “I am so proud” no smiling photos supporting their son (even if he is adopted). Now that Sunday Rose and Suri are here it seems to all about the biological. The positive focus that Tom seems to get with Suri, and Nicole gets with Sunday Rose means that it will be unpopular to call these two bad parents. But I’ll say it. Not bothering to tun up to your child’s movie premiere is poor form and clearly shows favoritism amongst your children.

Tom claimed he was too busy promoting his current movie, Nicole Kidman didn’t even bother providing an excuse.

Nicole Kidman told a Tennessee newspaper, that she loves Nashville and delivers meals on wheels in her spare time, which given the reviews of her most recent movie Australia, she might have a lot more time for.

“I love doing that because it’s just being part of a community,” she says. “That is what is important to both of us, feeling like we’re normal and part of a community.

She also said people don’t always “recognise” her. This is most probably because as Sharon Osbourne said, she has has so much botox, her forehead looks like a “flat schreen tv”.

The Australian press however are whipping themselves into a frenzy about “their Nicole” and her desire for her baby, Sunday Rose to have an “American accent”.

“I’m glad that she is able to say she’s born and bred in Nashville and Tennessee. That is really lovely. I think it’s very appropriate, considering her daddy. His whole life was headed here; from a little boy, he dreamed of coming here. For him to be able to say his baby girl was born here, I think is very special. I hope she has a Southern accent.”

Given the poor kid is called Sunday, she is going to need all the help she can get, so we say the Aussie press should give her a break.

Sophos says Google’s free blog hosting service has more malware than any other single site on the Web, with 2 percent of all the world’s dangerous code — both in hacker-created blogs and in innocent blogs infested with malicious comments. Google says hosting any malicious code is, of course, a violation and something its staff actively works to avoid.

Another curious discovery: Messages claiming to contain naked photos of Angelina Jolie or Nicole Kidman are the most common forms of e-mail-based malware, Sophos found.

Overall, Sophos says there are now 11 million different pieces of malware floating around, with 20,000 new samples coming in daily. Engineers say they’re finding three times the amount of problematic content as they did last year.

Keith Urban rocked out at a down-home concert with his pal Kenny Chesney in Nashville, and even facing a crowd of 50,000 wasn’t going to stop him from beaming about his mega-pregnant wife and her rapidly approaching due date. Keith got ready to start in on “Better Half” at the concert, but before he did, he dedicated his work to Nicole, saying “I’m going to dedicate a song to my very, very, very, very, VERY pregnant wife!”

I hope that Nicole Kidman has an easy “natural lamaze birth” and just enjoys being a mom. (No, I’m not being sarcastic.) I’m just glad we’re not facing as much hoopla as Angelina Jolie’s whirlwind of a pregnancy has treated up to so far!
