According to Nicolas Cage, he is not a vampire. Internet rumors, however, argue otherwise. The actor appeared last night on “Late Night With David Letterman” to discuss the photo that has caused many to believe that Mr. Cage is a member of the undead.

According to Cage he can’t be a vampire for a few reasons. One, you can’t take a photo of a vampire so how could he be photographed or show up in movies. Two, he doesn’t drink blood. And three, he can see himself in the mirror.

Cage didn’t give an explanation, however, about what he was doing in the 1860s.

Jack Mord, who tried to sell the photo on eBay for $1 million, said:

“Personally, I believe it’s him and that he is some sort of walking undead vampire, et cetera, who quickens/reinvents himself once every 75 years or so. 150 years from now, he might be a politician, the leader of a cult or a talk show host… My theory is that he allows himself to age to a certain point, maybe 70, 80 or so, then the actor ‘Nicolas Cage’ will ‘die’…but in reality, the undead vampire ‘Nicolas Cage’ will have rejuvenated himself and appeared in some other part of the world, young again, and ready to start all over.”

So maybe Cage is a time traveler and not a vampire.

When I was a kid the Ghost Rider was one of my favorite comic book characters and then when I grew up and they decided to make a movie out of the character with Nicolas Cage starring as Ghost Rider I was just a tad apprehensive; and then they released the movie and I was devastated – it sucked major donkey balls.

Then I heard they were going to do a remake and this time they promised to do it right and my spirits lifted a little bit; and then I heard the reboot was going to once again star Nicolas Cage and I became despondent. I mean didn’t they learn anything the first time around?

However  when they posted the first official trailer of the reboot I clicked on the play button with a large degree of trepidation only to be pleasantly surprised. A surprised that has just increased with the release of a behind the scenes featurette of the work being done on the movie, and I can feel the excitement begin to grow once more even though it still has Nicolas Cage starring as the Ghost Rider.

I do have to admit to being just a little freaked when watching just how the directors Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor are doing some pretty insane things to be able to get the shots they want for the movie – just watch for the arrows.

However I’ll leave it for you to decide but I’m looking forward to see if they can finally pull a great comic character out from movie hell and make an enjoyable movie to watch.

A Civil War-era photograph of Nicolas Cage has surfaced on eBay, and there is only one logical explanation… he’s a vampire.

The photo, which is being sold by a man from Tennessee for an asking price of $1 million, shows the Oscar winner in a Civil War-era photograph. But what’s even more amazing, it appears that Nicolas Cage hasn’t aged a day since the photograph was taken.

Jack Mord, who is selling the photo on eBay, said:

“Personally, I believe it’s him and that he is some sort of walking undead vampire, et cetera, who quickens/reinvents himself once every 75 years or so. 150 years from now, he might be a politician, the leader of a cult or a talk show host.”

According to the New York Daily News, the photo was taken in in 1864 at Johnson’s Island prison camp in Ohio by Professor G.B. Smith, who was famous for taking portraits of confederate prisoners during the Civil War.

But Mord insists that the photo is of an undead Nicolas Cage, who at the time of the photo, may have been a Civil War prisoner.

Mord said:

“My theory is that he allows himself to age to a certain point, maybe 70, 80 or so, then the actor ‘Nicolas Cage’ will ‘die’…but in reality, the undead vampire ‘Nicolas Cage’ will have rejuvenated himself and appeared in some other part of the world, young again, and ready to start all over.”

E! reports that Nicolas Cage has not denied that he is a vampire (he hasn’t confirmed either).

Actor Nicolas Cage opened up about a bizarre home invasion incident he says was not nearly as funny as it sounds.

Cage, who is starring with Nicole Kidman in the upcoming Trespass, says that no one was harmed and charges were not pressed when the strange incident occurred. And he acknowledged that the whole situation sounds humorous, but the actor- who now lives in the Bahamas- could no longer stay in the home in which he lived following the incident because it was so unsettling.

Cage was in his bed, asleep, at the time of the home invasion. And it wasn’t a “bursting in with guns and stealing stuff” type thing- but the lack of violence and intent could have made it all the more scarier. Cage recalls:

“It was two in the morning. I was living in Orange County at the time and was asleep with my wife. My two-year old at the time was in another room. I opened my eyes and there was a naked man wearing my leather jacket eating a Fudgesicle in front of my bed… I know it sounds funny … but it was horrifying.”

Cage’s new film Trespass is about a home invasion as well, centering around a wealthy man in his mansion and a group of “thieves” who “con” their way in. Cage describes the film as about “haves” and “have-nots” as well as “class warfare” in America. Below is a trailer for Trespass, which will be out in theaters nationwide later this year.

Nicolas Cage can be quite the eccentric actor and he lived up to those eccentric expectations when talking to USA Today this week about his upcoming Joel Schumacher directed move Tresspass.

Cage tells the story about a naked man who once invaded his home and entered his bedroom eating a fudgesicle.

“I’ve lived through it. I’ve actually experienced it. I was living in Orange County. It was two in the morning. There was a man, in front of my bed. My little one, my 2-year-old at the time, was sleeping in the other room. I was in bed with my wife.”

The actor then says the man was:

“Totally naked. He was wearing my leather jacket. He was eating a Fudgesicle. He was staring at me. I got up out of the bed. I put my jeans on and I chased him into the bathroom. I said, ‘What are you doing in my house?’ I decided somewhere to use verbal judo. I was very commanding with my voice and I got him to get out of my house. The cops came and they took him. It was scary.”

When asked what was stolen Cage says

“He robbed my Fudgesicle.”

Ultimately Nicolas Cage decided that pressing charges against a man who wasn’t right in the head would have been a bad idea.

Cage has no plans to open a dojo to teach verbal judo, too bad though, I’m sure some people would love to learn how they too can fight with their mouths.

Vanessa Hudgens, best known for her role in the High School Musical films, is reported to be playing a role in an upcoming serial killer thriller alongside Nicolas Cage, called Frozen Ground.

According to a report by Deadline, Frozen Ground tells the true story of Alaska’s most infamous serial killer, Robert Hansen, played by John Cusack. Hudgens will play the role of a victim who manages to escape, after which Cage’s character, a State Trooper who is investigating the case, finds her.

The real-life Hansen was sentenced in 1984 to 461 years in prison for the murder of 17 women, most of which were prostitutes and strippers. During his trial, he also admitted to raping up to 30 women over the course of 10 years.

Hansen was at one point regarded by the community as a respectable family man. He owned a bakery, hence his nickname, “The Butcher Baker”, and had a wife and two children, all unaware of Hansen’s dark side.

Hudgens, 22, recently wrapped up filming on Gimme Shelter, due out in 2012, in which she takes on the role of a troubled teenager whose father abandons her after her decision to keep her unborn baby. Hudgens is also starring in Journey 2: The Mysterious Island alongside Dwayne Johnson and Josh Hutcherson. Journey 2 is due out this year.

There isn’t yet a release date for Frozen Ground, but it’s reported to begin filming on October 17 in Anchorage, Alaska. Scott Walker will be making his directorial debut with the film.

Nicolas Cage and Christina Fulton have been trading verbal blows ever since their son, Weston Cage, was released from a Los Angeles hospital this past weekend.

Weston, 20, reportedly “freaked out” after an argument with his personal trainer at a Beverly Hills restaurant last week. After the incident, Weston was taken to a Los Angeles hospital for psychiatric evaluation.

According to a report from CNN, Fulton tried to convince doctors to move Weston to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center for an additional two weeks. “I do not want him with Nicolas Cage,” Fulton told CNN. “I do not want him in that care. That is not the care my son needs.”

Nicolas Cage doesn’t think that Fulton should be taking control of Weston’s life, however. He told TMZ (via femalefirst.co.uk): “I hope Ms. Fulton will come to her senses one day and get some help… Weston is a man. I have complete faith he will weather this well.”

After hearing Fulton’s plans to take her son’s care into her own hands, Weston issued a statement by way of his father’s lawyer: “I am an adult,” he said. “I don’t want to have anything to do with my mother. Any problems that I have ever had is because of the relationship that I had with my mother.”

After hearing of the statement, Fulton once again put the blame on Nicolas, saying: “My son is under a spell, he’s under a trance. Weston would say whatever his dad wants him to say.”

Last month, actor Nicolas Cage was arrested in New Orleans after a bizarre drunken ranting session.

Cage, who fought with cops after a disagreement with mother to his toddler Kal-El and third wife Alice Kim. (Duance Chapman, also known as Dog the Bounty Hunter, posted bail for Cage.) Cage’s attorney Harry Rosenberg has confirmed that charges for domestic abuse, battery, disturbing the peace and public drunkenness had been dropped following the arrest.

“The New Orleans District Attorney has confirmed that no charges of any kind will be pursued against him. After their investigation, the DAs refused all charges against Nick and the matter has been closed.”

Cage was taken into custody after a string of events following an argument with Kim over the correct address of the home the pair had rented. The incident was not Cage’s only drunken tantrum in recent months- the actor was spotted having a meltdown of similar proportions outside a club in Bucharest last December.

Duane “Dog” Chapman has posted bond for his friend Nicolas Cage. This morning we reported that Cage was arrested after a cabbie in New Orleans saw him arguing with his wife and then allegedly pushing her.

Cage was arrested after taunting police to take him to jail, he was charged with domestic violence and disturbing the peace.

Cage was being held on $11,000 bond and the news that he was bailed out by the Dog was announced by Chapman’s wife Beth who tweeted:

“My guy just walked out of the jail damn new Orleans 8 hours holy cow that’s a lot of time to Process one guy.”

Actor Nicolas Cage was arrested early this morning in New Orleans after breaking out in a loud argument with his wife.

Sources close to the actor say he was “very drunk” and was screaming at his wife Alice on the streets when a cab driver realized the argument was taking place and phoned police to report the domestic squabble, the cabbie also told police that Cage pushed Alice.

When police arrived on the scene Cage taunted them, stating:

“Why don’t you just arrest me?”

When police told Cage to just go home, he taunted them again with the same words and was then charged with domestic abuse and disturbing the peace.

According to reports, Cage’s wife in not a complaining witness and will not press charges as she says the cabbie’s claim of physical contact is false.

In 2000 Nicolas Cage reported to police that his Action Comics #1 had been stolen and today we have learned that the comic after 11 years was discovered in a storage locker in Los Angeles.

Police spent a long time looking for the comic book valued at more than $1.5 million. Action Comics #1 is a 1938 comic that features the first appearance of Superman and is considered one of the most sought after comic books of all time.

In 2000 Cage reported the stolen comic to his insurer and collected an undisclosed sum of money. Police say Cage is not a suspect in the hiding of the book.

The comic book will now be handed over to the insurance company, however it’s still unclear if Cage will collect extra money from the discovery.

Actor Nicolas Cage is reported to be broke, and is facing having to declare himself bankrupt due to a massive tax bill from the IRS and other financial problems.

News of Cage’s money issues surfaced last month when the IRS served him with a $6.6 million bill for unpaid back taxes. Cage is suing his financial manager Samuel Levin for $20 million for putting him in the situation to begin with.

According to new reports today, Nicolas Cage’s New Orleans homes have been foreclosed for “unpaid mortgage debts.” Cage is reported to have already sold his Bavarian castle, and his $10 million mansion in Las Vegas and homes in Bel-Air and Rhode Island are both said to be on the market.

There’s also an unconfirmed report that Cage is being sued by a bank for $2 million over an unpaid loan, despite earning $40 million over last year for his acting roles. I guess there’s something in the old saying about keeping some money aside for a rainy day.

Coppola is the brother of famous filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola. He was a professor of literature at San Francisco State University, as well as dean of creative arts. OK Magazine outlined Coppola’s many relatives in show business:

Nicolas’ paternal grandparents were composer Carmine Coppola and actress Italia Pennino.

Through his father, Nicolas is the nephew of director Francis Ford Coppola and actress Talia Shire. He is the cousin of directors Roman Coppola and Sofia Coppola, late film producer Gian-Carlo Coppola and actors Robert Carmine and Jason Schwartzman.
