Vancouver, WA – A naked teen is missing after embarking on a “spiritual journey” with nothing more than a fanny pack around her waist.

Two search and rescue teams have been dispatched as of Monday morning in Gifford Pinchot National Forest, hoping to find the naked teen gone missing. She was last seen on Sunday walking away from a campsite, wearing only a fanny pack.

The 19-year-old woman told a friend of hers that she was setting off on some sort of “spiritual journey” when she left the Canyon Creek Campground at around 5 pm on Sunday, according to Dave Cox, the undersheriff of Skamania County.

“She was stark naked,” he said.

She was supposed to return that night but didn’t. Cox said that her friend reported the woman missing on Monday after midnight. Police did not release the identities of the witnesses.

The naked teen’s fanny pack contained a small knife, a compass, and other assorted items. Temperatures in the area dropped to the low 50s overnight.

“I don’t know if she took off on a trail or what,” Cox said.

The area, which is roughly 60 miles from Portland, is heavily wooded. According to Cox, two teams with about four or five people each will search the areas where she is most likely to be.

The sheriff’s office has asked communities nearby for more search and rescue volunteers. It’s not clear whether or not drug use was a factor in the naked teen’s “spiritual journey,” but we at IQ hope that search and rescue teams are able to return her safely.

If the happy ending to the Cleveland kidnapping saga warmed your heart, it’s likely this will make your smile even wider.

Charles Ramsey, the man who helped rescue Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus, and Michelle Knight after a decade in captivity, has given a stellar interview to a local news station. We’re talking Antoine Dodson levels of hilarity here, folks.

In the brief piece, Ramsey tells a reporter about how he shared ribs and listened to salsa music with the alleged captor of the three women. He adds his neighbor never seemed to be anything other than a regular guy who tinkered with his motorcycles and played with his dogs:

“He’s somebody that you look and you look away because he’s not doin’ nothin’ but the average stuff, you see what I’m saying? Ain’t nothin’ exciting about him. Well, until today. Ha ha ha.”

When asked about the reaction of Amanda Berry as she begged him to call 911, Ramsey breathlessly quips:

“I knew something was wrong when a little pretty white girl ran into a black man’s arms. Something is wroooong here. Dead giveaway. Deeeaaad giveaway. Either she’s homeless, or she’s got problems … that’s the only reason why she’d run to a black man.”

It’s not remotely politically correct, but it’s difficult not to chuckle; Ramsey is what most people would describe as A Character, and his delivery is hilarious. Viral fame is surely yours, sir.

Charles Ramsey: “I heard screamin. I’m eatin my McDonald’s, I come outside, I see this girl goin’ nuts tryin’ to get out of her house. So I go on the porch, I go on the porch and she says ‘help me get out, I been in here a long time’. So you know, I figured this is a domestic violence dispute, so I opened the door, but we can’t get in that way because how the door is, it’s so much that a body can’t fit through, only your hand. So we kicked the bottom and she comes out with a little girl, and she says ‘call 911. My name is Amanda Berry’.”

Reporter: “And did you know who that was when she said that?”
CR: “When she told me it didn’t register until I got the call to 911. And then, I’m calling to 911 for Amanda Berry? I thought this girl was dead, you know what I mean? And she got on the phone and she said ‘yeah, this is me’ and the detective Cook, Gregory Cook says ‘Charles, you know who you rescued?’ ”

Reporter: “And when did you see Gina?”
CR: “About five minutes after the police got here. See, that girl Amanda told the police ‘I ain’t just the only one, it’s some more girls up in that house. So they goin’ up there, you know, 30 or 40 deep, and when they came out it was just astonishing, cos I thought they would come up with nothing. I figured, I mean, whoever she was, like I say, my neighbour, you got some big testicles to pull this off dude, cos we see this guy every day I mean EVERY DAY.”

Reporter: “How long have you lived here?”
CR: “I been here a year. You see where I’m coming from? I eat barbecue with this dude. We eat ribs and whatnot, and listen to salsa music, you see where I’m coming from?”

Mexico City, Mexico – Missing in Mexico is becoming a common calamity in the six years since President Felipe Calderon took office. Unpublished government documents indicate that more than 25,000 people have gone missing in Mexico.

Mexico’s violent internal struggle against drug mafias and crime gangs has led to many suddenly becoming missing in Mexico. Mexico’s attorney general compiled a list of tens of thousand of adults and children who suddenly disappear without warning. This spreadsheet list includes “names, dates of disappearance, ages, clothes they were wearing, jobs and some brief details.”

According to UPI, these brief details showcase how those missing in Mexico were going about their normal daily lives when someone made them disappear.

“The father was arrested by men wearing uniforms and never seen again,” one reads.

“His wife went to buy medicine and disappeared,” says another.

The people of Mexico are not happy with their government seeming lack of official response.

“What does the government do? Nothing or almost nothing. Why? There is a paralysis,” said Juan Lopez Villanueva of the group United Forces for Our Missing in Mexico. “The state has failed us.”

The missing in Mexico are just another symptom of the problems facing Mexico. According to the Guardian, government corruption might be the root cause for some of these cases.

Silvia Ortiz’s teenage daughter Fanny went missing in Mexico eight years ago and the Ortiz family has led the charge to find her.

“I still don’t know if Fanny is alive or not. Maybe she is in a mass grave and I will never find her, but I have to keep looking,” Ortiz says. “If I don’t, who will?”

Mexican police ignored requests to look for the daughter so the Ortiz family used a sniffing dog to follow the teenager’s trail until it led to clues indicating she had been abducted by criminals associated with the Zetas drug cartel. Even then the police did nothing. Then Ortiz discovered the official supposedly leading the abduction investigation was the lover of one of their prime suspects.

Years later the only hope Ortiz has received is a photograph of a girl resembling Fanny sitting next to the Zetas’ leader, Heriberto Lazcano–known as “El Lazca”–who was shot dead by the Mexican navy. Ortiz eventually tracked down the woman in the photograph but that is where the trail ended since she discovered the details about the photograph were a lie told by Mexican police.

Many believe the missing in Mexico might be still alive but are being forced to work for the drug cartels. Fanny’s mother will never let go of that hope until she has a fully identified body to bury. “All I want is to see my baby,” she says. “All I want is to tell her I love her, and to tell her I want to heal her wounds.”

Twelve-year-old Autumn Pasquale left her home at 12:30 PM Saturday to ride her bike to friend’s house. She hasn’t been seen since. Her parents, upon realizing she never arrived at her friend’s house, reported her missing around 9:30 PM.

Several agencies have been collaborating to find the girl, who was last seen riding her white Odyssey BXM away from her Clayton, New Jersey home. Pasquale’s father, Tony, is disheartened. “It’s not like her,” the distraught father told The Huffington Post. “She would have been home 11 o’clock this morning if she slept over a friend’s house.”

Search and rescue dogs were brought in to search the woods near the girl’s home, and volunteers have been warned to keep the area clear so as not to interfere with any scents the dogs may pick up.

“People have been out searching all day everywhere,” Michelle Connell, who knows the missing girl, noted. “All over town, every little park, railroad parks, and school buildings. Every place we can think of. She’s a good kid. She’s a sweet girl; everyone is upset.”

While police have not officially labeled Pasquale’s disappearance as suspicious, they must investigate any time a minor goes missing. Police have not said that they suspect foul play, but it remains a mystery as to why the FBI is involved, notes The Christian Post.

The FBI have indeed joined city and state police, and hundreds of local volunteers, in the search for the girl since she was reported missing. Her phone is either off, or has run out of power, investigators reported. Searchers have put up fliers, and a Facebook page has been created to spread word of the missing girl. She is described as a 5-foot-2 blonde weighing 120 pounds. She was last seen wearing navy blue shorts under navy blue sweatpants, topped with a yellow T-shirt reading “Clayton Soccer” on the front. She was wearing bright blue high-top sneakers.

Paul Spadafora, Pasquale’s uncle, is optimistic that his niece will be found. He said that it is unlike Autumn to miss curfew, noting that “she’s the kind of kid who normally check in with family if she’s going to be late.” When she missed her 8 PM curfew, her parents became increasingly worried. Autumn will celebrate her 13th birthday next week.

Clayton Mayor Tom Bianco asked volunteers to line the intersections of the small town to hand out fliers with Autumn’s information. “The more people who see us the better,” the mayor said.Kelly McHugh’s children attend Clayton middle school with Autumn. “She’s a really nice girl,” said McHugh, who is helping in the search. “It’s so scary, I hope they find her.”

“As time goes by we want this to be the happiest ending here,” Spadafora said.

The girl’s disappearance comes at a disconcerting time, with the recent disappearance of Starbucks barista Whitney Heichel. Heichel’s body was found Friday after a short disappearance. Hopefully, Autumn’s disappearance will follow the storyline of the four teens who decided to run away from home last week, and were found safe and soun and returned to their families.

Authorities are asking anyone with information that may help them find the girl to call police at 856-881-2300.

Mabel Pantaleon, a New York City-based actress, has been missing since Sunday morning according to multiple media accounts, which also report that she has a history of manic depression.

Pantaleon, 31, has appeared in Dexter on the Showtime network, Mystery ER on the Discovery Network, along with other small roles.

According to ABC News…

Mabel Pantaleon…vanished on Sunday after she was last seen at her Manhattan apartment on W. 157th Street. The woman’s mother told ABC News that her daughter was on medication but she believes the young actress stopped taking it.

Pantaleon’s mother added, ABC reports, that her daughter saw something on the Internet that upset her “and she started saying a lot of weird things”…

She said, “I’m leaving from here, all of you are terrorists, you’re not my mother.” I knew it wasn’t her.

Mabel Pantaleon’s mother, who called police right away, was required to wait 24 hours before officially filing a missing persons report under standard law enforcement procedures

The actress’s IMDB profile indicates that she was the 2003 second runner up in the Miss Latina New York USA pageant and that she quit a nursing program at the New York City College of Technology to pursue her acting career.

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help in locating the missing actress.

CBS News reports police sources are saying that Mabel Pantaleon was last seen wearing a red shirt with “Drake” on the front and possibly driving a 2004 silver Toyota Camry. No foul play in the disappearance of Mabel Pantaleon is suspected at this point.

Where is Gavin Smith? The Hollywood executive went missing last week after leaving a friend’s house in his black Mercedes.

ABC reports that Smith’s family realized he was missing when he didn’t show up at to take his son to school. Smith also failed to call into work or alert his family about his whereabouts. According to the family, Gavin was a great father and would never leave without telling his family about where he was going.

Evan Smith, Gavin’s eldest son, said:

“He would never do anything like that. He’s a great father. My dad had no reason to leave. No reason at all.”

Smith, 57, worked in Fox’s distribution department and helped release movies like “Avatar” and the new “Star Wars” trilogy.

Smith was staying at a friend’s house in Oak Park, California on Tuesday night after returning from a Las Vegas convention. Lisa Smith said that her husband took off in his car at about 10 p.m. without saying goodbye to his friend.

Lisa said:

“They had already gone to bed… He was still downstairs watching TV when our friend went to bed. And he was going to be coming up to bed shortly.”

But Smith never went upstairs to bed. The Hollywood exec left the house without several of his belongings, including his cell phone charger and shaving kit.

Police have not been able to trace Smith through his cell phone or credit cards. Evan Smith, who plays for UCLA’s basketball team, is now turning to Twitter in order to aide the search for his father.

Evan wrote:

“I will not stop until I find my father. A son never gives up on his father.”

Evan and Lisa also appeared on “Good Morning America” to spread the word about Gavin Smith’s disappearance. Lisa said:

“We want you to come home, baby. Our world is not right without you. … Be safe.”

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s office describes Gavin Smith as 6-foot-6 and 210 pounds. He has green eyes, gray hair and a goatee. He was last seen wearing purple pants. Anyone with information about Gavin Smith is urged to contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Homicide Bureau.

FBI Agents have joined the search forAliahna Lemmon, a 9-year-old girl who went missing on Christmas Eve.

Lemmon was last seen on Friday night at the trailer park in Indiana where she lived. According to ABC, the trailer park where Lemmon lives is a “haven for sex offenders.”

FBI agents started searching the area on Monday morning. According to the Houston Chronicle, the FBI searched the mobile home park and a nearby storage facility for Lemmon as a hundred people gathered across the street for a candlelit vigil.

David Story, Aliahna’s step-grandfather, said:

“Children don’t just walk away during Christmastime.”

More than 100 local emergency workers went on an extensive search for Aliahna on Saturday in Fort Wayne. According to ABC, the search effort has been scaled back by local officials but the addition of FBI agents provides some hope in the case of Aliahna Lemmon.

According to ABC, the trailer park where Lemmon lives is home to 15 registered sex offenders.

Elizabeth Watkins, a mother who lives in the trailer park, said:

“It’s scary. I don’t know how a parent could leave their child alone.

To make things even scarier for Lemmon’s family, the little girl has hearing and vision problems. Lemmon’s mother, Tarah Souders, said that the girl also suffers from ADD, emotional problems, and has a history of sleepwalking.

Mike Plumadore, a neighbor, was taking care of Aliahna and her two sisters because Souders was sick. Plumadore said that when he woke up in the morning Aliahan was gone. Her sisters, both six, said that she left with her mother but when Pludamore and Souders talked later that night, they realized that Aliahna was gone.

Plumadore is not considered a suspect at this point.

The Mindy McCready kidnapping story has just gotten a bit more interesting, as the singer announced she was unlikely to rescind custody of her 5-year-old son across state lines any time soon, citing the fact that she is seven months pregnant with twins.

Earlier this week, news broke that the country singer was the subject of a missing persons report after she failed to comply with court-ordered visitation terms. At the time, McCready made the following statement:

“I am working with lawyers to try to get all this straightened out. I did not steal my child, as it would be impossible for me to kidnap what already belongs to me! There never was any missing persons report and never an Amber Alert.”

McCready does not currently have legal custody of the boy, Zander- her mother does- and the singer was ordered to return the child by today to the custody of his grandma. Despite her delicate condition, McCready risks arrest by failing to return Zander to his grandma by the court-ordered deadline. But she claims he suffered abuse, and says from Nashville she does not intend to comply:

“I’m a mom first. No matter what happens, I’m going to protect my kid. If I have to go to jail, so be it.”

McCready lost custody of her son after an incident at her mother Gayle Inge’s home in 2007, after which McCready was sentenced to 60 days in jail for a probation violation. The singer served 30 days, and lost custody of her son. Inge says McCready’s abuse allegations are “absolutely not true.”

Police in Florida are searching for country singer Mindy McCready and her 5-year-old son after a missing persons report was filed on Tuesday. McCready, who does not have legal custody of her child, was last seen with her son on Tuesday night.

In an email to Access Hollywood, McCready says that she didn’t steal her child.

“I am working with lawyers to try to get all this straightened out. I did not steal my child, as it would be impossible for me to kidnap what already belongs to me! There never was any missing persons report and never an Amber Alert.”

But the Department of Children and Families says otherwise. The Associated Press reports that a judge ordered McCready to return Zander by Thursday.

McCready posted on Facebook:

“My son is not missing… police established that this afternoon via Skype. I have been fighting the Florida court system to protect my son, and bring him home. Please do not worry.”

McCready has had her share of personal problems in the last few years. People reports that McCready has battled addiction for several years and attempted suicide in 2010.

After appearing on Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew, McCready told Access Hollywood:

“Dr. Drew in giving me a diagnosis, diagnosed me as a person who has co-dependency. The new age term is a ‘love addict.’ It leads you into the wrong relationships and you go from one horrible relationship to another. Then I started drinking too much.”

A Maryland woman who was visiting the same Aruba resort town where Natalee Holloway went missing six years ago has disappeared.

Four days after Robyn Gardner, 35, went missing police have arrested Gary Giordan, a suspect in the case who also happens to be the first person to report Gardner missing after the two went snorkeling together.

According to Giordan, when he returned to shore he realized she was no longer with him, however he has changed his initial story various times since making that claim.

When asked about Gary, who is also from Maryland, Robyn’s boyfriend Michael Forester says he didn’t know she was going to Aruba with a male friend, she revealed that fact once she arrived in the country.

In an attempt to learn more about her last days and hours of known locations police are examining her iPad and they have sent her BlackBerry to Belgium where it will be looked over by Smartphone experts in the field of criminology.

No signs of foul play have been discovered at this time and Aruba police do not suspect anyone from their country, while they are refusing to release further information about their ongoing investigation at this time.

This newest missing persons story comes with a warning, remember to travel in groups when you’re in foreign countries and always let people know where you plan to travel and at what times so they have an active timeline of your activities in case that information is needed at another time.

This is weird and kind of Twilight Zone-esque.

An Illinois couple were driving home from a Christmas party late Saturday night when their car crashed. The husband, Dale, suffered a broken back in the crash and died at the scene. His wife, Tanya Shannon? She has not been seen since. Despite a massive search effort and sub-zero temperatures, the only clues to Shannon’s whereabouts are a trail of footprints leading from the passenger side of the car to the side of the road, where they abruptly end.

Local Sheriff Tom Templeton tells press the case is the strangest he’s encountered in 12 years, and adds that it is highly unlikely that Shannon could survive had she been exposed to the elementssince the crash:

“We have to make a decision,” Templeton said. “We can’t keep these people out there going over the same ground over and over again…Anything that’s even remotely close has been gone over several times… We were told from the family she was an extremely loving mother… For her to (just leave with no warning) would be incredibly out of character. To be out in the elements as they were that night, dressed only as she was, it’s very doubtful that you can survive terribly long.”

Templeton also posited that Shannon had been “picked up” by a driver, floating the rather frightening proposition she is being or was held against her will, as it stands to reason local emergency medical facilities have been checked for patients matching Tanya Shannon’s description.

It seems initial reports that Andrew Koenig may have been “lying low” in Vancouver were inaccurate.

Vancouver police have found a body they believe to be that of the missing actor, CNN is confirming. The body was found in a Vancouver park, and a press conference has been scheduled for 5:00pm Pacific time. Koenig’s parents are expected to be in attendance.

While the search for missing actor Andrew Koenig intensifies, conflicting clues have emerged in the investigation.

As is common in missing persons cases, there have been several sightings of the actor near Vancouver where he disappeared, but none are confirmed. Although Koenig was last seen on February 14th, his cell phone was last used on the 16th. Koenig’s ATM card was last used around the same time, and police have stated that they believe Koenig is just “lying low in Vancouver.” In a statement, police said:

“Cell phone and banking records up until the time he disappeared lead police to believe he is still in the Vancouver area. There has been no cell phone or bank activity since February 16th when he was last seen in south Vancouver.

“Police are still hopeful that Andrew will be found alive and safe.”

Though friends and family are concerned about Koenig’s safety, some believe the disappearance may have been a conscious decision on the part of the long depressed actor in response to dissatisfaction with his life:

Pal Lance Miccio visited Koenig’s California apartment on Monday night and said the flat was cleaned out and that the actor told friends two weeks ago he planned to move back to Vancouver to “start over.” Koenig, who was last seen February 14 and is said to be suffering from depression, chose the site of this year’s winter Olympics because he lived there nearly 20 years ago and considered it his “place for solace.”

As we posted yesterday, actor Andre Koenig of 80s sitcom Growing Pains has been missing in Vancouver since February 14th.

Koenig’s father, Star Trek actor Walter Koenig, has issued a plea on his website for information regarding the disappearance of his 41-year-old son. While initial reports indicated the younger Koenig was “depressed” about “something,” his father says Andrew’s depression is ongoing. Even more troubling is the fact that the elder Koenig received a letter after his son disappeared, the contents of which further worried Koenig’s distraught family.

The quoted bit below details Andrew Koenig’s last known whereabouts, and the Koenig family says Andrew’s phone last received a text on February 16th, two days after his last confirmed sighting.

On Feb. 16, Walter received a letter from his son Andrew, which caused his father to grow concerned about his whereabouts because of it’s despondent tone.

Andrew had recently finished shooting a trailer for a feature film that he wanted to direct, and was in Canada visiting friends: first in Toronto and then in Vancouver. Andrew was very comfortable in Vancouver, having lived there for several years after he fell in love with the area while filming an episode of “21 Jump Street”.

It is not believed that any specific incident prompted Andrew’s disappearance. “I think it’s something that has been a part of his makeup for a long time. There’s no single trauma. There’s no episode.

There’s nothing of that nature,” says Walter, who added that drugs were not an issue.

Andrew was last seen at a bakery in the Stanley Park area of Vancouver, where he often took walks.

The Koenigs plan to fly up to Vancouver in the next few days.

Actor Andrew Koenig, best known for his role as ‘Boner’ Stabone on 80s sitcom “Growing Pains,” has been missing for a week after he failed to board a flight back to the US in Vancouver.

Koenig, described as “severely depressed” about “something” by friends, has not been seen nor heard from since February 14th. Koenig was slated to fly out of Vancouver two days later. While in Vancouver, Koenig stayed with burlesque dancer Jenny Magenta, who posted a note on Facebook indicating that the actor may have been spotted since his disappearance.

TV Host Dave Holmes made the following plea for help in the case:

Governor of South Carolina Mark Sanford is nowhere to be found, and both his wife and the lieutenant governor admit to being clueless as to his whereabouts.

Gov. Sanford left in a black Suburban sometime Thursday and has not been heard from since. His wife, Jenny, indicated that she is not worried and that he “needed time away from his kids to write something.” Uh, what?

Sanford’s personal and state phones have been switched off since last Thursday, and he hasn’t responded to repeated calls and texts. Authorities last placed the governor near Atlanta via mobile phone towers.

Lt. Gov. Andre Bauer has also not heard from the governor, but indicates he has not yet been put in charge of the state. Okay, so who’s running it exactly? Either something bad has happened to this guy or he’s incredibly irresponsible. What if there was an emergency vote on grits or whatever it is that they legislate down there?

In a statement, the governor’s office explained:

“Gov. Sanford is taking some time away from the office this week to recharge after the stimulus battle and the legislative session, and to work on a couple of projects that have fallen by the wayside. We are not going to discuss the specifics of his travel arrangements or his security arrangements.”

Oh, yes- homeboy also left his security team behind. Maybe they need to get him a bigger desk?

Dale Bozzio, the former lead singer of 80s band Missing Persons and Playboy bunny has been charged for cruelty to cats.

Police in Ossipee, New Hampshire say a dozen cats had to be put down after being found in Bozzio’s home. Some cats were found already dead in her residence, while others were “very ill and had to be euthanized.” Bozzio has bee charged three misdemeanor counts of animal cruelty and will be charged with nine more counts.

Bozzio spokesman claimed that she had left the cats in the care of a friend, and that Bozzio is a well-known animal lover. Bozzio has pleaded not guilty on the first three charges.

Missing Persons played a blend of New Wave music and electronic pop rock. The band was founded in 1980 in Los Angeles by guitarist Warren Cuccurullo, vocalist Dale Bozzio, and drummer Terry Bozzio. They went on to add bassist Patrick O’Hearn and keyboardist Chuck Wild. Dale’s quirky voice and heavy makeup made the band a favorite on MTV in the early 1980s, according to Wikipedia.
