Secondhand embarrassment hasn’t come fast enough than with the viewing of Rachel Bilson rapping in a Funny or Die video.

Rachel Bilson rapping? It’s just as bad as it sounds. The actress shouts in an undicipherable accent in response to the criticism her show Hart of Dixie’s character is unbelievable as a doctor, “Haters get two words: Doogie Howser.”  Then she goes on to list all the designer names her character wears in exchange for rapper bling.

The Hart of Dixie star isn’t the first to make fun of herself through a rap or two. The difference is the stars before her  could surprisingly rap pretty well. It was disarmingly charming to see Natalie Portman rap about drinking and getting high at Harvard in the 2006 digital skit for SNL. Even watching Anne Hathaway rip into a song a la ‘Lil Wayne was pretty entertaining.

She continues by taking a dig into former The O.C. co-star Mischa Barton, who’s show, The Beautiful Life, was cancelled by the same network that’s home to Bilson’s show, The CW.

“Summer Roberts back up on the track again/ Peaced out of ‘The O.C.’, Ben and Brody, deuces!/ Did a couple movies, drank a couple juices!/ Still they comin’ at me, like ‘Where ya been?’/ You should be askin’ Mischa Barton!”

Wondering who wrote this hit of a song? Well, it was none other than the other talented Hart of Dixie co-stars Scott Porter and Wilson Bethel.

In 2009 Mischa Barton hired a private nursing company for reasons unknown and during that time she racked up nearly $90,000 in medical care, money she is now being forced to repay.

Doctor’s Choice Nursing sued the former O.C. actress when she wouldn’t pony up the $89,930.57 bill she owed to the company, asking a judge for the full amount plus interest, an amount that was granted to the sum of $95,000.

After failing to appear in front of the court DCN won a default judgment against Mischa, with her reps stating:

“This is the first we’ve heard of it.”

That’s quite a large bill to be stuck with paying simply because you couldn’t bother showing up in court to argue your half of the story.

Troubled actress Mischa Baron appeared on The View Friday and managed to deliver an interview that only confirmed the train wreck rumors.

Mischa described her hospitalization as “silly” and insists the whole thing was “blown out of proportion.” When Barbara Walters pointed out she was in the psych ward Mischa blamed dental work.

“Right, I mean, it was just … I was overwhelmed,” Mischa said. “I had too much work going on. I had a surgery for my wisdom teeth that went really badly. I had been in the hospital. I had two surgeries on my wisdom teeth. I had four taken out and they had gotten it really badly wrong. They had to drill into my jaw and I was just in really excruciating pain.”

“I had an infection and a dry socket and I woke up on a Sunday morning and there was no doctor available,” she continued. “I was trying to take the minimum amount of pain killers and get through it because I had to go to work soon and I was getting ready to go do this show, ‘The Beautiful Life,’ and meanwhile I still had a schedule to travel. I was going to Europe. I was going to London. I had things to do and I was prepping to do photo shoots and I was just overwhelmed. I had so much work to do and the surgery had gone so badly for me. And I think that I was just starting to feel completely overwhelmed. It was just too much to have this surgery go so wrong.”

Unemployed actress Mischa Barton may have finally have founded a regular paying job: on the remake on Melrose Place.

Word has it that Mischa tested for a role earlier today, with the network said to be “very excited about her.”

Barton had said that she wanted to become a serious actress after finishing up with The O.C., and reportedly turned down the role of Georgina Sparks on Gossip Girl. Her movie career though hasn’t been successful (she was apparently in St Trinians, I must have missed that part), so now it’s back to TV and off the unemployment lines.

At least one site is suggesting that Barton could also play the role originally played by Heather Locklear. Delightful

Are any of us really going to complain that Mischa Barton has now left the U.S. and has settled down in Paris? I think that she just can’t handle the pressure, considering that she cited “time off” as one of the reasons for her move.

“I’m living in Paris right now so I thought I would come down for a few days,” the British-born actress told PEOPLE at the Chopard and Alberta Ferretti Opening Gala on Wednesday night. (She has two movies at the festival, including You and I.)

I know that she has done four pictures in 2008– two that recently were at Cannes Film Festival– but to me, she doesn’t seem incredibly busy. It might be the fact that she filled in last minute as a replacement model recently (if her schedule allows that, then she can’t be booked full-up) or perhaps that I just don’t like her that much.

I wonder if the paparazzi will hound her like they do the Jolie-Pitts. Doubtful, but that could change if she reverts back to her old ways– she did admit that the French Riviera was “pretty manic.”
