Okay, that headline makes it look like Mrs. Mike Myers gave birth to a baby and then a spike, which totally did not happen.

Instead, Kelly Tisdale, Myers’ second wife, had a regular baby the regular way and everyone was happy. The pair, who married last year after dating for about five, welcomed baby boy Spike earlier this month. While the couple apparently kept mum on the birth as well as the kid’s vital stats, a rep for Myers and Tisdale says the baby is doing well, everyone is healthy and the new parents are ecstatic.

Myers signed up for the dad job relatively late in life, earning the title at 48 years of age- wife Kelly is reportedly “thirty something.” Prior to his marriage to Tisdale, Myers was married for over a decade to Robin Ruzan, but the pair divorced after twelve years together and never had children. After the breakup, Myers was plagued by gay rumors and even his new marriage did not quiet the whispers that the Austin Powers actor was on the down low.

It’s not a surprise few details have been shared about the baby, as Myers is notoriously quiet and reserved about his personal life and doesn’t offer up much in the way of deets. Tisdale is said to have dated Moby, with whom she owns New York City tea shop Teany, before she settled down with Myers. No pics of baby Spike, as would be expected, were released by the pair. (But the news did re-spark rumors that Myers has been considering reviving the popular Austin Powers series.)

Disney-owned Dreamworks are one of the scared studios. According to The Hollywood Reporter Cameron Diaz and Mike Myers are affected by the new clauses. God forbid someone should make any free publicity for Shrek 5 or is it 6? (I’ve stopped counting).

This could also explain Miley Cyrus’ Twitter exit earlier this month. The Disney talent contracts forbids confidentiality breaches via “interactive media such as Facebook, Twitter, or any other interactive social network or personal blog.” Dreamworks are restraining eager writers with a similar clause in their contracts regarding sharing of press releases on “a social networking site, blog or other Internet-type site.”

Maybe Ryan Seacrest scared them when he announced Ben Silverman’s resignation as co-chairman from NBC on Twitter before it was officially announced.

Or perhaps it was when Paula Abdul quit American Idol using Twitter?

It could also be because Greg Grunberg tweeted a goodbye to the Heroes crew. “Tough to say goodbye to crew not knowing if any or all of us will return next year.” Fans instantly thought that Heroes wasn’t coming back for another season until he tweeted ” Heroes IS coming back but some crew take other jobs, so it’s tough.”

This is just another example of, why Hollywood is afraid of Twitter and other social networks. They still haven’t seen the benefit of it. Hollywood wake up, you have no idea of the potential. I would worry more about making quality film.

Was it diva behavior or just hunger pangs that made Mike Myers list his demands backstage– and not rest until they were fulfilled? Myers, getting ready to promote “The Love Guru” on Late Night with Conan O’Brien, sent a team of interns on a “wild goose chase” for raspberry seltzer, Silk creamer, and Twizzlers. In the world of celeb demands, this one barely makes a blip on the screen (IMO, Diva Demands generally need to be things not found at a local grocery store), but the New York Post claims that he “drove backstage staffers bonkers.”

I also have a feeling that running errands for Mike Myers is kind of a creme-de-la-creme activity for interns, so they shouldn’t be complaining. . . only the people who witnessed it can really gripe, since they probably had bigger things to worry about than Polar vs. Adirondack.
