Under the deal, members will have the option to put a free business video on their MerchantCircle listing. The basic video will be automatically customized to reflect the merchant’s name, address and contact details and will include title screens as well as professionally produced voice and music tracks. Since test launching the offer, more than 2,000 merchants have already added a video to their MerchantCircle listing.

MerchantCircle members can purchase exclusive rights to use their video in their region for $39 per month. Businesses desiring more customized videos can add custom features for a low additional cost. MerchantCircle members also gain access to Spotzer’s library of thousands of professionally produced ready-to-air business videos

As we noted in September, MerchantCircle is a hidden success story in the space, growing quickly and regularly adding more value add features to its mix.

MerchantCircle offers small businesses a web page listing, blogging and email newsletter application, and a local business network that focuses on connecting local businesses that has delivered 575,000 members. The new offering comes as value add to members at a time when the US economy is slowing and margins thin, offering lower prices that aren’t always available in SME’s.

For national brands, the program gives unique access to hard-to-reach local businesses across the United States.

MerchantCircle has taken two rounds totaling $14.1 million, and investors include Rustic Canyon Partners, Scale Venture Partners, Steamboat Ventures (Walt Disney), IAC and Square 1 Bank.
