Although Hulk Hogan’s wrestling career is mostly over, the WWE star is not opposed to laying a smackdown when the situation calls for it.

A legal smackdown, however. Hogan (real name Terry Bollea), 58, quietly and somewhat impressively refuted ex-wife Linda Bollea’s accusations of gay flings and physical abuse on the Howard Stern show not too long ago, not too long after she released her tell-all book making the claims. Hulk said that while he has many gay friends and has no problem with gay people, he himself has never engaged in any gayness. Hogan didn’t resort to name calling, and was very gentlemanly when denying the claims.

But he has hit back in court against his ex’s reputation damaging assertions that he was abusive and unfaithful, and Us Weekly carried a statement from Hogan’s lawyer on the legal drama:

Linda’s claims, Hulk’s lawsuit says, have “exposed him to distrust, hatred, contempt and ridicule.”

“He’s being accused of all sorts of vile conduct that he did not commit,” his attorney Will Florin said. “Miss Bollea’s made enough of these outrageous allegations that it’s time they stop … The only realistic way of making them stop is through the court system.”

Linda Bollea received 70% of the pair’s liquid assets in the divorce, the suit notes. Aside from claims Hulk Hogan cheated on her with wrestler Bruno Beefcake, Bollea also said in her memoir: Wrestling the Hulk: My Life Against the Ropes:

“[Hulk] tore my clothes, threw lamps, and held me down on the bed with his hands around my throat during arguments… I was always afraid he would kill me in one of his rages.”

Hulk Hogan’s divorce with Linda Hogan was already messy enough with both parties publicly flinging accusations at one another at just about every opportunity, but for one of them things just got a whole lot worse.

The details behind the Hogan divorce settlement surfaced on Friday by way of the St. Petersburg Times. The documents state that Linda will receive 70 percent of the couple’s missing assets, meaning that Linda will be walking away from the marriage with roughly $7.4 million out of the couple’s total of $10.41 million.

Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea, also agreed to give his now ex-wife 40 percent ownership in his various companies. Terry, on the other hand, will be able to keep fees from his personal appearances and sales of his 2009 book, My Life Outside the Ring.

Linda also got to keep the couple’s Mercedes-Benz, a Cadillac Escalade, a Corvette, a Rolls-Royce and various off-road vehicles, but the rest of Terry’s extensive collection of cars will remain his.

Hogan took to Twitter recently to express his relief that the whole ordeal was over, saying: “Thank God any negative or blood sucking vampires are dead and gone in my mew life.One love,one life,one God. HH”

Hulk needs to stop while he’s ahead. And by ahead, I mean “not any worse.” Things are at a stalemate, with his daughter being confused in public and his son still in the slammer, and maybe that’s how things will stay for awhile. Must he mix it up right now and talk about Linda to US? I think he’s lonely:

Without a doubt, this one is the most formidable opponent I’ve ever run into. You talk about dirty tricks: Brass knuckles, steel knuckles, cheap shots, tripping people up. I’ve never seen anybody in the wrestling business that has more dirty tricks than she does! I guess I taught her well.

I think that’s probably a compliment, right? In fact, he could be trying to woo her. Ew.

After making accusations that her father, Terry Bollea, had abused her mother Linda both physically and verbally, Brooke Hogan is taking it all back.

She might have originally sided with her mom after the split, but now Brooke has admitted that she had regretted making allegations that “vilified” Terry. Affidavit or not, she’s claiming that it was a “big mistake,” adding:

“Using kids as pawns in a divorce is awful. Every day my mother resorts to this kind of behavior makes it that much harder for us to ever have a relationship again.”

I had thought their mother-daughter relationship was feeling the strain after the first load of dirty laundry got aired in public. . .
