Lil Wayne is heading to jail, but before the rapper gets locked up he’s delivered a treat for his fans: the No Ceilings Lil Wayne Mixtape.

Due to be officially released on Halloween, the No Ceilings Lil Wayne Mixtape leaked online, and Lil Wayne fans on Twitter and across the web are buzzing.

According to one online review, “Lil Wayne remembers how to rap, and well.” The review claims that “No Ceilings isn’t perfect, and at times it’s downright cheesy” and yet “He’s also never sounded so aware of his audience.”

Lil Wayne Going to Jail

Rapper Lil Wayne is going to jail as part of a plea deal to avoid a longer term behind bars on gun charges.

According to reports, Lil Wayne will plead guilty for his possession of a .40 caliber gun found on his bus in 2007. Lil Wayne was expected to protest his innocence, but an announcement by authorities that they were to confirm Lil Wayne’s DNA was found on the gun making the chances of a conviction far more likely, bought about the change.

Under the deal, Lil Wayne will reportedly plead guilty for possession in exchange for an 8-month term in jail. If 8 months sounds harsh, Lil Wayne could have faced 15 years behind bars for each count of criminal weapons possession and criminal possession of a loaded weapon. It’s believed that authorities will drop the other charges in return for the guilty plea on the lesser charge.

Lil Wayne joins a long list of rappers who have faced or spent time in jail, a move that it nearly a right of passage in some parts of the industry.

Today’s fake celebrity death has Lil Wayne being shot dead

Going for a second fake celebrity death this weekend, the latest rumor to grip the internet has rapper Lil Wayne being shot dead.

The rumor, as it was last November, says words to the effect that “Dwayne Carter known by his rap alias of ‘Lil Wayne’ is the latest victim of the notorious feud between the ‘Bloods’ And ‘Crips’. Shortly after performing at the New Orleans Arena, Lil Wayne was involved in an altercation with members of rival gang the ‘Crips’, and brutally shot 6 times with a semi automatic 9mm Smith & Wesson handgun.”

Unlike some other rumors lately, there is some truth behind Lil Wayne being shot: Wayne has a history with guns, and when was 12 he accidentally shot himself in the chest with a .44-caliber.

Lil Wayne was last spotted on stage when Drake collapsed on stage Friday. There were no reports of him having fresh bullet wounds.

Lil Wayne isn’t dead and Lil Wayne hasn’t been shot lately, end of story.

Nivea & Laura London Both Pregnant By Lil Wayne – at the Same Time

Lil Wayne, who has Nivea & Laura London currently pregnant at the same time, certainly gets around. He also has never heard of condoms.

According a photographer and industry insider, FreddyO:

“I would like to be the first to send my congratulations to [Nivea] and her baby daddy soon-to- be husband Wayne. The two are said to be marrying within the next few months. Hummmm I wonder about that. Wayne will also be having a child with the one and only Ms. Lauren London who is also pregnant by him.”

Lil Wayne, whose real name is Dwayne Carter Jr., is no stranger to pregnant women and fatherhood either. He also has two other children with his ex: A 10 year old daughter whose name is Reginae and a 6 month old son, Dwayne Carter III.

Nivea also has three children with her ex husband, singer/producer The Dream.

Lil Wayne will be a busy guy this year and all those kids and women to keep satisfied. Plus he has a new rock album coming out this year called ‘Rebirth.’

Nominations for the 51st Annual Grammy Awards were announced tonight with Lil Wayne and Coldplay leading the field.

Lil Wayne topped the list with eight nominations, Coldplay garners seven, and Jay-Z, Ne-Yo and Kanye West each earn six nods. Alison Krauss, John Mayer, Robert Plant, Radiohead and Jazmine Sullivan receive five each, and Adele, Danger Mouse, Eagles, Lupe Fiasco, George Strait, and T.I. each have four nominations.

Lil Wayne Dead, or just more internet rumormongering?

The interwebs must be bored this weekend. Following on from the false report that Katt Williams had died in a plane crash, the hot rumor of the hour has Lil Wayne dead in a shooting.

The rumor mill reports that Lil Wayne died from a gun shot over the weekend in a gang feud. Wayne has a history with guns, and when was 12 he accidentally shot himself in the chest with a .44-caliber.

Like the Kat Williams rumor yesterday, the Lil Wayne rumor smells a lot like a 4chan stunt, with people posting to message boards that they’ve heard it on the radio “3 minutes ago.”

Perez Hilton claims it’s not true, but that’s the best confirmation we have at this time. If we hear an official denial, we’ll update the post.

Update: this is one report doing the rounds. Still sounds like a hoax, although the police officer named is real.

Dwayne Carter known by his rap alias of ‘Lil Wayne’ is the latest victim of the notorious feud between the ‘Bloods’ And ‘Crips’.

Shortly after performing at the New Orleans Arena, Lil Wayne was involved in an altercation with members of rival gang the ‘Crips’, and brutally shot 6 times with a semi automatic 9mm Smith & Wesson handgun

Paramedics rushed to the scene and attempted to resuscitate the rapper, however were unable to prevent colossal blood losses and Dwayne Carter was pronounced dead at 02:36 Am, November 1st,shortly after arriving at Tulane University Hospital.

This will be seen as a huge loss to the hiphop community, as the self proclaimed ‘Best Rapper Alive’ has been an integral part of the revival of the genre, going platinum with his latest release Tha Carter III within one week.

Lil Wayne now a sports blogger for ESPN

Rapper Lil Wayne joins Bono in entering the blogosphere this week, with a new blog at ESPN on sport.

The multi-platinum award winning artist loves his sport so much, it’s apparently all he watches, according to his first post:

This is the first entry in the blog I’m doing for ESPN The Magazine. I don’t watch nothing but sports—no movies, no news, no television shows—so I thought this would be fun.

Wayne is a Packers fan, who also likes Red Sox, the Lakers and the Boston Bruin. And just for those who thought it was a white mans game, he also likes Tennis.

The blog isn’t all about Lil Wayne, though large parts of it are

I grew up playing football. Believe it or not, I was a fullback. When I was nine, ten, eleven, I was a great blocker. I knew how to block real good and the other kids didn’t. So there I was. One game when I was ten years old we were on the goal line about to score, and coach called the play for me. I was supposed to go one way, but I ended up sneaking around the other side on a sweep. Everybody thought I was already tackled. The ref was already blowin’ his whistle. But I was still up and I stutter stepped one way and beat the last guy trying to get me and scored that touchdown. That’s my favorite sports memory for myself.
