RadarOnline is reporting that Jane Lynch, who hilariously portrays ”cheerios” coach and gym teacher Sue Sylvester on the hit musical dramedy Glee, is planning to wed long time girlfriend Dr. Lara Embry.

Lynch isn’t the only mover and shaker in the partnership- Dr. Embry was involved with a landmark same-sex custody case in Florida last year for which she was bestowed a Justice Award by the National Center For Lesbian Rights. Lynch has been praised by critics for her role as Glee club nemesis Sue Sylvester, and she was nominated for a Golden Globe for her performance on the breakout Fox hit.

No details are currently available about the reported wedding, nor has a date been announced.

Following pressure from gossip blogs after Meredith Baxter was spotted on a gay cruise with a woman since identified as her girlfriend, the Family Ties mom and TV movie queen has come out of the closet as a lesbian.

Baxter disclosed her sexuality on this morning’s Today Show, telling Matt Lauer that the realization had come to her later in life after three failed marriages. Baxter headed off the criticism of being closeted at the pass, saying that she’d only realized her sexual orientation in the past few years, denying she’d been living a lie. The actress also says the admission was “antithetical” to who she is but wanted the story to be heard on her own terms. According to MSNBC, Baxter has never even retained the services of a publicist.

Meredith Baxter spoke to Lauer about the difficulties she had in discovering her true sexuality, and the reasoning she had in selecting spouses with whom her relationships would later dissolve:

She explained that she deliberately chose to be with men with whom she clashed, so that she could blame them for the end of the relationship. “It never occurred to me to think, oh, [the problem is] me,” she said.

Then, seven years ago, she had a relationship with a woman and concluded that she was homosexual. Suddenly, things seemed to make sense.

“I got involved with someone I never expected to get involved with, and it was that kind of awakening,” she said. “I never fought it because it was like, oh, I understand why I had the issues I had early in life. I had a great deal of difficulty connecting with men in relationships.”

Meet 55 year old Lana Lawless, the current Women’s Long Drive Golf World Champion, and former male police officer.

Lawless was virtually unknown until October 22nd when she upset 21-year-old Phillis Meti, widely acclaimed as the longest hitter in women’s golf. Long Drive Golf, literally a competition based around who can hit the ball the furthest, is a sport driven by power, muscle and speed, all of which you’d presume an ex-male SWAT officer would have.

It sounds like the whole thing was pretty romantic, too: De Rossi’s mom flew in from Australia for the ceremony and the two even swapped handwritten vows. Residents have begun legal proceedings and are asking a court to ban the Gay and Lesbian Community of Greece from using the word lesbian in their title.

According to Yahoo News, plaintiff Dimitris Lambrou says the dispute is over identity and not sexuality.

“We must protect our identity, the name that defines our origin from being stolen…Our legal actions have nothing to do with the sexual orientation of our adversaries.”

The island has become a popular tourist spot for non-islander lesbians from around the world.
