Baywatch babe Pamela Anderson has settled her Las Vegas real estate lawsuit out of court. Last year Anderson was sued by real estate mogul Laurence Hallier for $25 million after he claimed she bailed on promised appearances during a set of massive condo sales events.

According to Hallier in a lawsuit filed last June the starlet promised to promote the sale of several condominiums in the new Panorama Towers (pictured above) but failed to make many personal appearance as agreed upon.

Hallier in his court filing claims that Anderson’s no show at various appearance cost him millions of dollars in lost condo sales.

In exchange for her services Pamela Anderson was set to receive a free condo, however after she breached her contract Hallier backed out of that promise and Pamela Andserson turned around to sue the real estate mogul for $1 million.

This week both parties agreed to go their separate ways after reaching an out of court settlement regarding both lawsuits.

Perhaps the next time he makes a deal to show off his condo’s Hallier will find someone a bit less flaky then a former actress who’s main job was running around in a too tight bathing suit, not that we’re complaining.

The terms of the settlement are confidential.

Sinead O’Connor- the Irish singer who has seemingly never managed to do something not controversial over the course of her career- got married in Vegas a few weeks ago after a very brief courtship.

Prior to committing a fourth time to the institution of marriage, O’Connor had been publicly complaining of sexual frustration as well as eyeing up certain phallic vegetables in her desperation. And by her description, the wedding night in Vegas was a bit of a clusterfracas, with a quest for some dope landing her in a crack den.

When announcing the divorce after sixteen days of marriage, O’Connor wrote:

“there was intense pressure placed upon him by certain people in his life, not to be involved with me. Within 3 hours of the ceremony being over the marriage was kyboshed by the behaviour of certain people in my husband’s life and also by a bit of a wild ride i took us on looking for a bit of a smoke of weed for me wedding night as I don’t drink.”

However, O’Connor wrote in Twitter stone today that the marriage is back on. I mean, who wants to throw away sixteen days over a little matter of honeymooning in a crack den? Nobody. And certainly not Sinead O’Connor. (Did we mention she has an album to promote right now?)

The reconciliation can be reasonably inferred from O’Connor’s tweets, in which she writes:

yay!!! me husband is a big hairy cave man an came to claim me with his club : ) and now im in cave-land.. yay!! we both go panto!

A subscriber asks if the tweet means the divorce is off, to which O’Connor responds:

Floyd Mayweather Jr. has completed the second half of a plea deal his attorneys struck with a judge after the boxer scuffled with a homeowner association security guard in November 2010.

The scuffle over parking tickets eventually led the boxer to make a plea deal to avoid prison time, a deal that included a $1,000 fine to avoid a trial and jail time.

Appearing on his behalf was lawyer Karen Winckler who plead no contest after revealing that the fine had been paid in full.

In the plea it was acknowledged that Floyd Mayweather Jr. poked the 21-year-old guard in the face on several occasions after the guard wrote tickets because of cars parked on the street outside the boxers multi-million-dollar Las Vegas home.

In an unrelated case Mayweather will serve 90-days in jail starting on Jan. 6 after pleading guilty on Dec. 21 to misdemeanor battery domestic violence and no contest to harassment. During that incident he attacked ex-girlfriend Josie Harris by pulling her hair and then punching and twisting her arm.

After his domestic violence case Mayweather spent two nights in a Clark County jail in downtown Las Vegas. Mayweather also spent one night in jail for the poking attack on the security guard.

Floyd Mayweather Jr’s attorney’s say they will ask the judge who sentenced the prize fighter to reconsider the 90-day jail term. That case was already cut down by Judge Melissa Saragosa who originally sentenced Mayweather to six months in the Clark County jail. To avoid that long stay the boxer was ordered to pay $2,5000, complete a year long domestic violence counseling program and perform 100 hours of community service.

Irish singer Sinead O’Connor proves that nothing good can come out of a drive thru wedding in Las Vegas.  Sinead, who was married for the fourth time this year, ended her romance after just 16 days she announced on her website.

O’Connor and boyfriend Barry Herridge tied the knot while celebrating the star’s 45th birthday in Las Vegas

In a released statement the singer said “there was intense pressure placed upon him by certain people in his life, not to be involved with me. Within 3 hours of the ceremony being over the marriage was kyboshed by the behaviour of certain people in my husband’s life and also by a bit of a wild ride i took us on looking for a bit of a smoke of weed for me wedding night as I don’t drink.”

O’Connor also said that the split was ‘amicable.’

She went on to further explain that the marriage had been a mistake and that her husband had been very unhappy during their married life together.

“I have therefore ended the marriage,” she said. “I think he is too nice to do so. And too nice to trap.”

Sinead O’Connor divorced her third husband Steve Cooney earlier this year..  After their split, O’Connor wrote on her blog that her marriage had been nothing but sexual frustration for her and she was open for business looking for a new lover.

She was previously married to music producer John Reynolds and journalist Nicholas Sommerlad and has four children.

Kate Gosselin took to the streets of Las Vegas on Sunday to compete in the cities marathon which includes a run down the world famous Vegas strip.

The former Kate Plus 8 (cancelled) star and mother of eight children finished the Zappos.com Rock ‘N’ Roll Las Vegas Marathon in 4 hours, 59 minutes and 21 seconds.

Kate bundled up on an unusually cold night for Las Vegas, wearing a top that read “Finishing Is Winning.”

After the race Gosselin told PEOPLE:

“I’m not one to do anything lightly,” while adding, “I either do it or I kill it. I guess this is considered killing it.”

Gosselin trained for the race near her home in Wernersville, Pennsylvania, often running in below freezing cold temperatures in preparation for the event.

The marathon was 26.2 miles long and Kate says she wanted to use the race to show her children that anything is possible if you set your mind to it and have the determination needed to succeed.

I simply can’t get over the fact that everything she does is likely carefully planned for press coverage and I hardly call five hours “killing it” but the message is a good one to teach anyone striving for a goal.

Foreclosures can be a hard enough thing to deal with at the best of times but when you think that you have been playing by the rules and doing everything the right way the idea that you don’t own that home you thought you did, well that can be devastating.

The whole foreclosure fraud business is just another sickening example of the lengths that people will go to in order to make money and nowhere is this more apparent than in Las Vegas where improper foreclosure practices are widespread.

In fact one experienced and well respected investigative reporter, George Knapp, found out the hard way just how widespread it was when he discovered that the home he thought he had bought and paid for out of foreclosure wasn’t his.

As he found out via the Attorney General’s office Knapp didn’t own his home due to bogus signatures and improper filings something that Las Vegas foreclosure attorney Tisha Black says happens in nine out of ten cases these days.

Indeed, Knapp isn’t alone when it comes to faulty title transfers causing lost homes. In addition, to the “tens of thousands” cited by KLAS in Las Vegas, one couple and their 18-month-old daughter faced foreclosure in Houston, Texas even though they had stayed current on payments since 2008,because their title wasn’t transferred properly.

Pound-for-pound boxing champ Manny Pacquiao has got some avid fans, including this mom who said she postponed her son’s appendectomy so she could see the boxer at Wild Card Boxing Club in Hollywood.

The mother who introduced her name as “Amy” and in her late 30′s said that she is not a horrible mom and that her son supported her. She also stressed that her husband is in the hospital taking care of the son.

“He probably has appendicitis, he’s in the hospital, but he knows how much Manny means to me so he said, ‘Go Mom’. He didn’t want to keep me back. They’re holding off so I can see Manny and take advantage of this opportunity. I’m not a horrible mom. He’s not in total danger. Dad’s there with him.”

Pacquiao will defend his WBO welterweight title against Mexico’s Juan Manuel Marquez for the third time this weekend in Las Vegas.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. has been ordered by a federal judge in South Carolina to perform 40 hours of community service after the prize fighter failed to give his deposition in a recent court case. Mayweather said he was recuperating form injuries he sustained during a fight however it was later learned he was actually partying at a nightclub the night before he was set to appear in court.

For his community service Mayweather Jr. will be placed with the Las Vegas Habitat for Humanity Project where he must complete his 40 hours of work before the end of January. If his work is not completed in the allotted time U.S. District Judge Joseph F. Anderson Jr. has promised further penalties.

The lawsuit stems from a claim by Anthony Dash that Mayweather, his production company and World Wrestling Entertainment sampled Dash’s music without his permission when Mayweather performed for the WWE in 2008 and 2009.

The original deposition was set for the July date but was moved to the end of September after Mayweather’s lawyers asked for more time since the fighter was training for a match.

Three days before he was set to appear for his deposition Mayweather asked for a delay to recover from injuries, Mayweather claimed his doctor told him to remove stress until results from his MRI were revealed. Mayweather’s lawyer insisted Mayweather was not partying up until the time that Dash’s lawyers provided video proof from the Echelon 3000 club outside Atlanta where he was seen throwing money into the crowd and burning bills.

Judge Anderson after giving Mayweather community service ordered Mayweather to pay Dash’s lawyer expenses cause by the delay.

In his decision to order Mayweather to community service rather than issuing a fine Anderson wrote:

“At the parties in question, Mayweather can be seen burning money, allegedly one-hundred dollar bills, while in another video he throws money into the crowd. Mayweather often advertises himself using the moniker ‘Money Mayweather’ and his production company is Philthy Rich Records. Suffice it to say that Mayweather has substantial personal wealth.”

Perhaps he can do some heavy lifting on the job site to get his training in, unless of course he continues to act like an entitled brat and comes up with new lies to avoid his court order.

The days of making license plates in prison are over for some Las Vegas prisoners, these days they spend their time rebuilding vintage cars, at least that’s the case at the Southern Desert Correction Center.

The medium-security facility currently offers 33 medium-security inmates the opportunity to restore vintage vehicles. One inmate speaking with the Wall Street Journal revealed:

“We’ve got a ’56 Jaguar, a ’48 Rolls Royce, and a Studebaker pickup.”

The best part? Anyone with a vintage car can bring their vehicle to the prison where inmates work for the low rate of $5.15 per hour.

As prisoners earn their hourly wage 5% of the money they earn is deposited into a restitution fund for their victims while they learn a real world trade.

In order to work at the auto shop prisoners must have a high school diploma and no disciplinary infractions for a period of six months at which point they can accept a Monday through Friday position.

It’s not all good news for peope who drop off their cars, as one inmate reveals:

“You realize right away you’re not the priority,” and “It’s a prison. Those prisoners may get locked down and not see your car for weeks.”

Kim Kardashian took to Las Vegas club Marquee (@Cosmopolitan Las Vegas) on Saturday to celebrate her 31st birthday and the actress was met with something she likely didn’t expect, heckling from club visitors.

The actress invited hundreds of friends to the event and along with those people were various Marquee guests who began to jeer at the reality TV star and designer as she was announced by the DJ.

Apparently after the attack on the TV star began her sister Khloe took to the mic to lecture haters only to be met with an even louder chorus of boos.

Speaking about the event club operator Jason Strauss said that the crowd didn’t boo but instead went wild with “glee” at the very sight of Kardashian.

Strauss told the The Las Vegas Journal-Review:

“The majority was going wild. We had to double up security because so many were trying to get closer to her.”

I’m going to take the word of club visitors after all the last thing Marquee wants is publicity pointing to a celebrity hating atmosphere at their state of the art club (which coincidentally is my favorite in Las Vegas).

Rapper Drake celebrated turning 25-years-old this past weekend in Las Vegas. The Rapper showed up over the weekend and began partying before the clock struck 12 am on Monday.

According to onlookers Drake and his entourage took over TAO nightclub in Las Vegas on Saturday and Drake later tweeted:

“Momma I feel so alive…I made it to 25,” while adding, “Thank you all.”

Drake, in a good mood over his birthday treated the entire club to a free round of drinks and then announced:

“They asked me where I wanted to celebrate my birthday … I said I’ve got to go to the place I have the most fun in the world. I had to go to Vegas.”

He was a little more lewd with his next comments to partiers:

 “If you want to drink, if you want to dance, if you want to party—ladies, if you want to f*ck, I’m ’bout whatever.”

In celebration of his birthday AllThingsFresh teamed up with Good Wood NYC to put together an OVO kit for Drake, the kit included beaded bracelets, iPhones cases and drinking glasses.

When the Heart Attack Grill first opened in Dallas, Texas they placed a sign outside that read “Now Hiring Nurses” the sign was meant to bring in waitresses who wanted to work at a hospital themed restaurant and now it looks like those “nurses” are job hunting once again.

On Wednesday a new sign went up but it wasn’t asking for “nurses” instead the locations landlord put up a notice about locks being changed. According to the sign the locks were changed ”because of delinquent rent payment or violation of the tenant’s lease.”

Started in Chandler, Ariz., in 2006 owner Jon Basso served up 8,000-calorie “Quadruple Bypass” cheeseburgers and fries that have been cooked in lard and milk shakes that have the highest butterfat content you can find anywhere in the world.

With the Arizona location shutting their doors earlier this year perhaps it shouldn’t come as a surprise that the Dallas location has done the same although no Twitter or Facebook page announcements have been made at this time.

Oddly enough there is a new Las Vegas location which is listed on the restaurants Facebook page.

With the name Heart Attack Grill does it really surprise anyone that this restaurant has been taken off life support in two different locations.

Danica Patrick is used to driving her Indycar in excess of 200 mph around circuits like the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. But her final laps as an Indycar racer were driven more like a funeral procession. After Dan Wheldon’s fatal crash yesterday at the Indy 300, Danica, and the rest of the Indycar 300 grid, put in the final five laps of her Indycar career to honor her fellow competitor.

While workers were cleaning up the crash, Danica said:

“It was like a movie scene which they try to make as gnarly as possible. It was debris everywhere across the whole track, you could smell the smoke, you could see the billowing smoke on the back straight from the car. There was a chunk of fire that we were driving around. You could see cars scattered. I hope everyone is OK.”

Danica wasn’t the most successful rider in Indycar history, but she was one of the most popular. Danica was named the most popular Indycar rider for the last six years. She is the only woman to ever win an Indycar race (she won in 2008 in Japan) and was named rookie of the year in 2005.

Michael Andretti, one of Indycar’s most successful drivers with 36 winds and three championships, told ESPN:

“Danica did bring, I think, new fans to our sport and hopefully those fans aren’t here only because of Danica. “I’m sure she brought fans that normally wouldn’t have watched it but now have become fans of IndyCar racing.”

Patrick will now focus on racing full-time in the NASCAR Nationwide Series.

Well, this should be very interesting.

It appears Matt Damon has signed on for a new HBO film that centers on the life of late singer Liberace. HBO house fare is often incredibly well done, so in and of itself, the film is likely to be fantastic solely for that reason. But as HBO tends to, a compelling cast seems to be in the works for the project as well.

Damon has long been rumored to play the lover of the late Las Vegas staple entertainer, with actor Michael Douglas on board as Liberace himself. The product has been in development hell for many years, with citations on the web dating back several years chronicling the genesis of the HBO Liberace biopic.

But the film is now confirmed. It has a title- Beyond the Candelabra, which may or may not be tongue-in-cheek and to be fair, HBO could carry it off either way- as well as a director, Steven Soderbergh. This marks the first time Soderbergh has worked with both Damon and Douglas in the same film, but the director has done Traffic with Douglas, and Contagion, The Informant, and the Ocean’s series of films with Damon.

Producer Jerry Weintraub commented on the lining up of cast and HBO for Behind the Candelabra:

“I’ve wanted to make a film about Liberace for a very long time, and after the amazing experience I had with HBO on His Way, I knew that they were absolutely the right place for this movie,” he said. “I am thrilled that we have the incomparable Michael Douglas to inhabit the role of Liberace, as well as the exceptional Matt Damon to play the pivotal part of Scott Thorson. Putting these two fine actors in the creative hands of Steven Soderberg — it doesn’t get better than that.”

Filming will kick off next summer in Las Vegas, Los Angeles and Palm Springs.

Prince Harry- younger brother of the recently wed Prince William- is headed out to the states for some military training.

Harry will be spending some time out in Arizona and California for two “intense” months of training on an Apache copter. The enhanced training will take place at Gila Bend Auxiliary Air Field in Arizona and is described as “supplemental, advanced” skill-sharpening for the Apache helicopter.

So while Harry trains, of course, speculation has centered not around his safety or prowess on the copter, but rather whether or not the young royal will head out to Las Vegas for some high-octane R&R during his visit to the States. CBS royal correspondent Victoria Arbiter says the selection of Vegas for time off during training is the done thing, and Harry may well get his “what happens in” vibe on:

“Harry is committed to completing his training, but it has become something of a tradition for pilots in the program to take a half-way break to Vegas,” she said. “We know Harry loves to party. … Whether he goes remains to be seen, but I’m sure over the eight weeks, we’re going to see Harry’s fun side creep out.”

However, CBS News military analyst Ret. Army Col. Jeff McCausland countered with the point that Harry’s not in the US to gamble, table-dance or party with strippers and that the royal will likely be focusing on his work while he completes the training:

“This will be done under, as best simulated combat situations as can occur, where he’ll be flying in concert with other helicopters and he’ll be responding to simulated calls for fire from ground troops, who would be engaged with the enemy and requiring air support… It’s to give him the maximum, real-life combat experience as he might well encounter when he would go to Afghanistan.”

The site indicates that when the training is complete, Harry could be deployed to Afghanistan again- and notes that he would prefer to put his knowledge to use. The final decision will be left in the hands of the British Prime Minister.

To compile the list of America’s Most Dangerous City, Forbes used the FBI’s uniform crime report for 2010 which tallies crime data for each of the country’s metropolitan areas.. The crime-fighting agency uses four categories of violent crimes, namely: murder and non-negligent manslaughter, forcible rape, robbery and aggravated assault.

Despite the impression that poor economic conditions can lead to more crimes, violent crimes for the past four years have actually dipped according to the FBI. For example, murder was down by 4%, rape by 5%, robbery by 10% and aggravated assault by 4%.

Brock Lesnar will return to the Octagon on December 30 when he takes on Strikeforce heavyweight champion Alistair Overeem at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Speaking to The Times Overeem revealed:

“Brock is a big name, a dangerous guy, and this is a dream matchup.” Alistair added, ”Brock’s a big guy, an exciting wrestler with his takedowns.

“I want to see this fight myself. Overall, I’m a different fighter. A striker, athletic, big. These are going to be two big trucks going at it on a collision course.”

Overeem most recently defended his Strikeforce belt in June, winning with a unanimous decision against takedown specialist Fabrio Werdum.

Lesner on the other hand hasn’t fought since losing his UFC heavyweight belt to Cain Velasquez in October, then suffering a return episode of the intestinal ailment diverticulitis.

The winner of the Dec. 30 match will be first in line to take on the winner of the Nov. 12 match between Velasquez and Junior Dos Santos.

MGM wants to blow up a casino in Las Vegas and while that practice in and of itself isn’t all that strange for a city that reinvents itself on a nearly daily basis, the fact that the resort hasn’t even been built yet has raised some eyebrows.

Vegas’ largest casino operator submitted paperwork on Monday with the county office that would allow them to implode Harmon Tower, once considered the crown jewel of the new $9 billion CityCenter which also includes Vegas hot spot Aria.

The Harmon Tower project has been derailed on several occasions due to various construction problems and an engineering report which says the tower couldn’t withstand an earthquake.

According to MGM, blowing up the tower will be the quickest and safest way for them to resolve issues, while contractors say they can fix the issue which has locked the company in a legal battle with workers on the project.

In an editorial piece the  Las Vegas Review-Journal notes:

“Perhaps the implosion of the Harmon could be promoted as an offering to end the curse of this recession.”

In any case with a lawsuit currently underway and city council approval needed, it could be a while before MGM begins to implode anything from the site.

Does anyone else find this type of destruction to be a bit extravagant at a time when our economy is sputtering along with no fix in sight? On the other hand, I do enjoy watching very large structures blow up and MGM does that better than most organizations.
