Kirsten Dunst was granted a temporary restraining order against 51-year-old Jean Christophe Prudhon from Dijon, France.

According to court documents, the man wrote the Spider-Man star over 50 letters and traveled to the U.S. on multiple occasions for a chance to meet her. In one of the letters, he professed his love for Dunst, and in another he said that he sold his home in France just to be able to make more trips to meet the actress.

“I am frightened for my safety, as well as the safety of my family and friends who visit my home,” Dunst wrote in a court filing. “I am worried that Mr. Prudhon will escalate his conduct further, putting myself and my family in danger.”

To make matter’s worse, Prudhon reportedly visited the home of Kirsten Dunst’s mother, Inez Dunst, last week and asked if he could meet with the actress. In the court documents, Inez said she was greatly alarmed by Prudhon’s “visit”.

A judge ruled that Prudhon will have to remain 100 yards away from Kirsten Dunst at all times. A hearing on December 21 will take place to determine whether or not to extend the restraining order to upwards of 3 years.

The Board of Directors at Cannes has officially declared filmmaker Lars von Trier a “persona non grata” at Cannes after he made some bizarre and offensive comments calling Israel a “pain in the ass” and saying he “sympathizes” with Nazis.

Von Trier has since apologized for the statements, but he originally said:

“I thought I was a Jew for a long time and was very happy being a Jew… But it turned out I was not a Jew, but even if I’d been a Jew I would be kind of a second-rate Jew because there is kind of a hierarchy in the Jewish population… What can I say? I understand Hitler. I think he did some wrong things, yes absolutely, but I can see him sitting in his bunker in the end… I think I understand the man. He’s not what you would call a good guy, but I understand much about him and I sympathize with him a little bit. But come on, I’m not for the Second World War, and I’m not against Jews.”

Von Trier continued:

“Okay, I am a Nazi… I am of course very much for Jews. No, not too much because Israel is a pain in the ass. But still, how can I get out of this sentence?”

The Cannes Board of Directors was not impressed by the speech, and issued this statement:

“The Festival de Cannes provides artists from around the world with an exceptional forum to present their works and defend freedom of expression and creation. The Festival’s Board of Directors, which held an extraordinary meeting this Thursday 19 May 2011, profoundly regrets that this forum has been used by Lars von Trier to express comments that are unacceptable, intolerable, and contrary to the ideals of humanity and generosity that preside over the very existence of the Festival.

“The Board of Directors firmly condemns these comments and declares Lars von Trier a persona non grata at the Festival de Cannes, with effect immediately.”

His film, Melancholia, will still be eligible to win awards, but the filmmaker is barred from actually accepting them at the festival.

I’ve never been a fan of Kirsten Dunst. Really, never. But then I saw this, and I may have changed my mind a little bit.

After hanging out with fans and giving them some love, lanky Justin Long has moved on. According to recent buzz, he met his current flame Kirsten Dunst at Sunset Junction in L.A. when the sun went down last weekend. Rush & Molloy reported that one of the waitresses saw them “all over each other” and “making out hard-core while waiting in line for margaritas.”

Maybe Justin Long was only sexy when he had Drew Barrymore by his side, ’cause I’m not really feeling it anymore. Maybe it has something to do with this very gross photo of him with Kirsten Dunst, and the thought of them PDA-ing all over the place. I keep picturing Kirsten dressed like this, which is so not helping.

Justin Long’s New Romance: Trading Down? is a post from: The Inquisitr

Somebody says “That celeb is going to rehab” and I say. . . 1. I’m not surprised and 2. There’s not a doubt in my mind that it was drugs/alcohol. Well, someone’s mixing it up a little, ’cause Kirsten Dunst just revealed on E! that her stay in the Cirque Lounge not for “alcohol abuse or drug abuse. I went there for depression.”

Elaborating on it a little, Kirsten said that “It was a good six months before I decided to go away. I was struggling, and I had the opportunity to go somewhere and take care of myself. I was fortunate to have the resources to do it. My friends and family thought it was a good idea, too. But I didn’t know where to go. My doctor recommended Cirque Lodge.”

I suppose that filming with Ryan Gosling and flouncing about in period costumes isn’t exactly what the doctor ordered (darn! really?), but having one celeb be honest and set the record straight is refreshing. Let’s hold on to that feeling; it’s a rare commodity in tinsel town.
