The last time Katie Holmes posed for jeweler H.Stern she wore an elegant dress. Apparently the dress was a little too distracting because in Holmes’ new ad she’s wearing practically nothing.

Tom Cruise’s better half poses nearly topless in her new add of H.Stern. She’s wearing jewelry, too, if you didn’t notice.

In one shot Holmes dons a stunning gold necklace, and in the other, a pair of stylish earrings.

The Daily Mail reports that the jewelry add isn’t Holmes’ only venture into the fashion world lately. She has also been modeling for Ann Taylor this year and recently appeared on the cover of Vogue Espana in a skintight black lace dress and a leather dominatrix cap.

Katie Holmes most recent shoot for H. Stern (the third time she’s modeled for the jeweler) is currently running in Israel. The ads are expected to hit the states this fall.

Katie Holmes acting career has slowed down a bit since her marriage to Tom Cruise, but the actress said she’s ready to start a new chapter in her life. Holmes said:

“I feel ready… for the next chapter of my life. I’m excited to begin a new phase; roles I might have been afraid to play before.”

If Suri Cruise manages to reach legal age without at least 10 Paris Hilton/Miley Cyrus/Britney Spears style breakdowns we’ll be extremely surprised. Earlier this week we reported that mom and dad purchased their daughter $130,000 worth of Christmas gifts including an actual pony and now it turns out the spending had just begun.

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes reportedly paid $5,000 for exclusive use of a VIP-type area at New York’s Rockefeller Center ice skating rink. The typical cost of skating at the rink? $75.

The New York Daily News also reports that along with their rental they had gourmet hot chocolate and treats made by the famed ”Mr. Chocolate” which were delivered “especially for Suri.”

Obviously it’s completely up to Tom and Katie if they want to spoil their daughter but as history has taught us it’s these type of actions that lead to bigger problems down the road for the rich spoiled children of the entertainment industries most elite.

The print version of In Touch Weekly claims it was passed a copy of Suri’s list (hmmm), and the five-year-old’s pressie demands do indeed add up to the the price of a small apartment.

Top of the list is, inevitably, a pony. And ITW reports Tom Cruise has already located a stable for the beast to stay in near their home in Beverly Hills, at least until Princess Suri gets bored and Daisy/Star/Lucky/Sugarcube is carted off to make Pritt Sticks.

Diamond earrings and gowns also appear in Suri’s modest demands – apparently she’s after stuff that will make her “look like a fairy princess.” Cruise and Holmes are said to have splashed out willingly on everything their child has asked for. A source close to the couple told In Touch Weekly:

“Tom and Katie love the holidays and always go overboard. [...] They are buying Suri absolutely everything she asks for.”

Back in the 90′s, Oasis like, had an album and lots of people bought it, when people still bought albums.

There was a song called “Wonderwall” and another one called “Champagne Supernova” and they played like, all the time on MTV for a while. Basically they were notable for sounding like the Beatles a little bit sometimes, and for saying crude things about other celebrities to get in the papers. Apparently they are still fairly good at the latter, and it would appear Noel Gallagher, one of the band’s two frontmen, has set up a blog so that his nasty comments about celebrities have a wider audience.

Gallagher recently had a run-in in Los Angeles with Scientologist-celebrity Katie Holmes. And while it seems the interaction went well at first, the actress did not want word of it spread, as Gallagher angrily tells everyone on his LiveJournal*:

We literally bumped into that top Scientologist Katie Holmes on the way into the studio. We came out of the lift and BANG, there she was… Now at this point my mate, and friend of the stars, Scully was doing a bit of filming for my website and managed to capture the moment. She did look a bit miffed at the various North-West accents and some vigorous handshaking, but there was no need to send one of her people over to demand the video be deleted!!!! Un-f*ckin’-believable.

We didn’t let it spoil the day though. And what a day. Loved it.

When someone criticizes your housekeeping skills, it’s pretty typical for either you or the criticizer to point out that you are Not Martha Stewart.

Because you know who is Martha Stewart? Martha Stewart. But it would all the same be quite intimidating to admit your kitchen and decor shortcomings to the queen of fancy herself, given the apparent ease with which she turns out delicious dinners and well-appointed holiday trimmings. But Katie Holmes recently did just that, confessing the secret behind her largely fuss-free Thanksgiving celebrations.

Holmes said she’s not fantastic at the whole turkey and sides business- which really only occurs once a year so it’s not like we really have time to practice. The actress says she recognizes that cooking isn’t her strong suit for Thanksgiving, so she stocks up on flowers and other decor to bolster her celebration:

“We’re going to be in Los Angeles and I’m not a big cook so I usually go to the flower mart in downtown Los Angeles and I make up for my lack of cooking with a good presentation… I make sure the fixings are there I just don’t tell how they got there.”

However, Katie says, she does have one standout tradition- pumpkin bars. And Mrs. Tom Cruise says that she goes to great lengths each year to ensure little Suri picks up the tradition, too:

“My mom started a tradition where she makes these amazing pumpkin bars- almost like a pumpkin cake with cream cheese frosting, but it’s not too spicy. In my family we travel so much and we’re constantly living in hotels, so my daughter and I have been in the living room of the hotel with powdered sugar going everywhere making this to keep up the tradition… They’re really gooey and moist.”

When asked if hubby Tom likes the pumpkin bars, Holmes replied she’d never met anyone who wasn’t crazy about them.

When Katie Holmes makes her debut on “How I Met Your Mother” tonight, she’ll play the oft talked about “Slutty Pumpkin.”

According to the Vulture Blog, the “slutty pumpkin” has been around since the first season of “How I Met Your Mother” aired in 2005. Ted talks about a promiscuous Jack-O-Lantern that he met at a Halloween party but lost touched with. Ever since he’s been trying to unmask the slutty pumpkin. Tonight, he’ll finally get reconnected with his Halloween love.

Will the “Slutty Pumpkin” finally by the love Ted has been searching for? Probably not, but it should still be a good episode.

Katie Holmes- also known as Mrs. Tom Cruise- has a nice side gig coming up.

Holmes- who has mainly stuck to film after her role as Joey on the 90′s teen hit Dawson’s Creek- will be appearing on a Halloween-themed episode of the CBS hit How I Met Your Mother. Holmes will be featured in the show’s Halloween storylines as the famed Slutty Pumpkin.

In a much earlier Halloween episode, much like the Peanuts “Great Pumpkin” storyline, lead character Ted Mosby spends a Halloween night waiting for a girl he’d met at a previous Halloween party, known only as the Slutty Pumpkin to him. In the show’s timeline, Ted met the girl- and had really liked her- at the 2001 gathering, but lost her phone number when the Kit Kat on which he’d written it was given away by Lily.

Ted’s sole bits of information about the Slutty Pumpkin are that she enjoys a root beer and Kahlua concoction called a Tootsie Roll, and that she once studied penguins. Each year, he revisits the old party dressed in his costume from 2001, a hanging chad, in hopes he will one day reconnect with the Slutty Pumpkin.

NY Mag broke the story and spoke to one of the series’ creators about Holmes’ role:

“Katie is a lovely and talented actress, which is why we’ve saved for her perhaps the most classily named character in our show’s history,” series co-creator Craig Thomas told New York Magazine’s Vulture blog, who first reported the casting news.

“[The role was] literally six seasons in the making,” Thomas said.

The episode will air at the end of next month.

Several months ago Star Magazine published a cover shot of Katie Holmes (top right) in which they claimed the actress was having drug addiction issues and now in their latest issue (top left) the magazine has reached out to Holmes, offering an apology for their assertion.

While we would love to give Star Magazine all the credit, it was more than likely the $50 million lawsuit Holmes filed against the publication that led to their recent change of heart.

The lawsuit has recently been dropped and the celebrity tabloid will make a donation to Katie’s favorite charity the Dizzy Feet Foundation that brings dance to under privileged kids.

In a recent issue of Star, we published headlines about Katie Holmes that could be read to suggest that she was addicted to drugs. Star did not intend to suggest that Ms. Holmes was a drug addict or was undergoing treatment for drug addiction. Star apologizes to Ms. Holmes for any misperception and will be making a substantial donation to charity on Ms. Holmes’ behalf for any harm that we may have caused.

At least a charity was able to raise some money from the company’s attempt to jump the gun on a Katie Holmes story.

Katie Holmes walked the red carpet in Tokyo this week with a new feature: hair extensions.

Holmes, who we’ve had on a death watch for a while now as she’s wasted away on a Scientology Diet, actually looks a lot better than recent outings. No doubt that long hair and a ton of makeup helps hide her Ethiopian frame.

Notable in the shots is Tom Cruise, who also seems to have lost some weight; nothing like shrinking together. Cruise also appears to be sporting pink lipstick. Has Tom finally come out of the closet, or is lipstick merely a Scientology trend this year?

The decline and fall or Katie Holmes’ health continues with the wife of Tom Cruise looking well beyond her 30 years in pictures taken in New York Wednesday.

The once gorgeous actress sported her now nearly trademark facial lines, and even her teeth seem to be suffering as she continues to waste away on her Scientology detox diet.

Katie Holmes’ Scientology detox diet continues to eat away at the once great looking actress, with a new appearance showing all the ravages of a malnutritioned child in a war zone.

Holmes was pictured in Los Angeles over the weekend looking frail and disheveled as she attended dinner with husband Tom Cruise and his adoptive daughter Isabella.

Adding to the gaunt look, Holmes also had forgotten to do her fingernails, with some showing a mint-green nail varnish, while the others were bare.

According to The Mirror, Holmes is on a strict Scientology detox diet that uses herbal drinks and a purification procedure to eliminate toxic substances. If the Detox includes eating away at all body fat, then it’s quite clearly working.

The FBI is investigating a death threats sent to Tom Cruise and wife Katie Holmes.

The threats, alleged to be coming from groups opposed to Scientology, have resulted in an increase in security around Cruise, wife Katie Holmes and daughter Suri.

The threats are being taken so seriously that Cruise is now apparently traveling in bullet proof cars, and is even thought to have spent $10 million building an underground bunker at his Colorado Estate.

In August, threats were made to place anthrax in the air vents of Tom’s Los Angeles office according to the Telegraph.

Anti-scientology protesters have also targeted screenings of Cruise’s latest film Valkyrie.

Tom Cruise in a wide ranging interview on Jay Leno’s Tonight Sow said he was surprised by his Golden Globe Nomination for his comedic role in Tropic Thunder and that he didn’t even know that they were announcing the nominations today.

He also told Jay Leno that he has a special surprise for Katie Holmes birthday, has seen Katie’s play at least 20 times and that he would be interested in treading the Broadway boards, doing either a play or a musical.

Britney has had an incredible couple of weeks, she has got her body back, completed a promotional tour of Europe, released a doco about her life, her latest album is selling like hotcakes, and then to ensure we don’t get lulled into a false sense of security, she shows that she is still a little nuts. According to the U.K.’s Heat Magazine, Britney recently told a friend she was open to “new things” including Scientology.

“I have met Katie a few times, so I called her up and just started asking questions about Scientology.

“Katie told me she wasn’t so sure about it at first either, but once Tom explained it to her and she read the books and took some classes, it really started to work for her. Then Tom wanted to talk to me about it, so I did. He was nice and answered all my questions and sent me books.”

Sure he did. How about being open to something new, like being normal.

When Holmes confessed to him that she dreamed of marrying him as a little girl, ‘I said I wouldn’t want to disappoint her,’ Cruise says. So, the actor says, he bought Holmes an engagement ring shortly after their first date in 2005.

‘At one point, I thought she was going to ask me to marry her first and I put her off by changing the subject,’ Cruise adds. ‘I wanted to ask her.’

It’s cool that Tom thinks Katie was going to ask him, but I kind of wish she had. If she’d seemed less robotic from the get-go, things could’ve turned out differently.

Fresh from spending Thanksgiving together in New York, the Cruise and Beckham families are ready to take their special relationship, that one step further. They plan to do this by holding what can only be described as some sort of marriage. Talk about creepy.

Apparently a source said: ‘Tom and David have been friends for years and they and their families spend a lot of time together. This year Tom wanted to make a special gesture that would show how much he appreciates their friendship and he thought this would be the perfect way.’”

That special gesture will see Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes merge their family with Victoria and David Beckham’s in a special ceremony. Tom will hold the bizarre service – during which the families will solemnly vow to be brothers and sisters and exchange heartfelt speeches.

The gesture serves as a Thanksgiving present from Tom to the Beckhams. Surely they could have said how about a gift voucher?

Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise have brought matching back, and it’s creepy. Their matching Power Suits in New York rival the grey date suits of September, but are nowhere near as strange as the jeans fiasco.

Katie’s really turning into a younger, thinner, taller version of Tom. Do you think it’s a forced thing to try to demonstrate their love publicly? There are better ways that are far less weird, and if Katie wants to stay away from the control-issue rumors (and related protests), I recommend that she back away from the slacks.

Last night, there were lots of masks, signs, and chants to “Free Katie” around the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre, where she was doing her preview for All My Sons and a scary grinning Tom Cruise was watching. CNN reports that there weren’t more than 20 people getting anti-Scientology outside, but Katie still managed to look much less disturbed than at the dress rehearsal on Wednesday.

People are even saying that Katie did an awesome job, so hopefully we’ll be seeing some real smiles soon. OK! mag reports that the post-show scene was encouraging:

“Outside, the pre-show crowd had swelled to more than 150 screaming fans and dozens of photographers as a half-dozen police officers on horseback patroled the crowd who now carried signs pronouncing, ‘Well Done Katie!’.”

A member of the audience did say that Katie “has her hands on her hips a lot like she’s posing for pictures and she projects her voice a bit too much,” so we’ll see how things go.

First Katie Holmes was bringing in a dismal number of All My Sons sales (presumably in part from her husband scaring people away), but it look like She’s Back. According to Variety, things aren’t as bad as they might seem. They claim that All My Sons is “selling just fine“:

“However, if the advance figure released by producer Eric Falkenstein is accurate, “All My Sons” looks to rank alongside “Equus” as one of the fall season’s biggest nonmusical box office performers.”

What? Really?! It’s too bad that this report comes waaay too late for anyone to believe it. Then again, these anti-Scientology protesters might do the trick in terms of publicity. Things could turn around after all!
