Tom Cruise Wants Villain Role for Wife in Next ‘Mission: Impossible’

Tom Cruise wants Katie Holmes to play a villain in the next ‘Mission: Impossible’ movie.

The actor, who stars as spy Ethan Hunt in the action franchise, is desperate to work with his wife and believes an evil part for her in the fourth film would be perfect because he doesn’t want them to play a couple on screen.

A source said, “Tom is very excited about taking ‘Mission: Impossible’ in a new direction and he sees Katie as a big part of that.

“They have wanted to work together for a while now but the idea of being a couple on screen in a romantic comedy is a bit dull. This might give them a chance to have some fun both as a couple and as hero and villainess.”

Katie, who has a three-year-old daughter, Suri, with Tom, recently admitted she loves bringing her home life into her acting roles.

She said, “In my own life, my whole world really revolves around my family. I do what I need to do, but it’s like, ‘How is everybody else doing?’ And it’s wonderful for me as an actress to put some of that into a character.”

Katie Holmes Sends Suri to Catholic School

Katie Holmes has enrolled her daughter in a Catholic school.

The ‘Thank You For Smoking’ actress reportedly infuriated Scientologist husband Tom Cruise with her insistence that three-year-old Suri attend the Catholic Charities Yawkey Centre For Early Education And Learning in Boston, Massachusetts.

A source close to the couple who are living in Boston while Tom shoots his latest movie ‘Wichita’ said, “Katie has been listening to her parents who are devout Catholics.

“She is not convinced by Scientology and has told Tom that she wants Suri to be educated as a Catholic – as she was.

“They had been having huge problems agreeing on her school. To say they were having arguments it putting it mildly – but Tom came around to the idea in the end.”

Katie has reportedly not been seen at the Church of Scientology for more than five months.

Tom was raised Catholic but converted to the bizarre sci-fi cult in 1990.

Katie Holmes sports hair extensions to help hide the death pale

Katie Holmes walked the red carpet in Tokyo this week with a new feature: hair extensions.

Holmes, who we’ve had on a death watch for a while now as she’s wasted away on a Scientology Diet, actually looks a lot better than recent outings. No doubt that long hair and a ton of makeup helps hide her Ethiopian frame.

Notable in the shots is Tom Cruise, who also seems to have lost some weight; nothing like shrinking together. Cruise also appears to be sporting pink lipstick. Has Tom finally come out of the closet, or is lipstick merely a Scientology trend this year?

The decline and fall or Katie Holmes’ health continues with the wife of Tom Cruise looking well beyond her 30 years in pictures taken in New York Wednesday.

The once gorgeous actress sported her now nearly trademark facial lines, and even her teeth seem to be suffering as she continues to waste away on her Scientology detox diet.

On the bright side, she’s at least making some attempts to cover up her appearance. Just Jared has more pics here.

Katie Holmes’ Scientology detox diet continues to eat away at the once great looking actress, with a new appearance showing all the ravages of a malnutritioned child in a war zone.

Holmes was pictured in Los Angeles over the weekend looking frail and disheveled as she attended dinner with husband Tom Cruise and his adoptive daughter Isabella.

Adding to the gaunt look, Holmes also had forgotten to do her fingernails, with some showing a mint-green nail varnish, while the others were bare.

According to The Mirror, Holmes is on a strict Scientology detox diet that uses herbal drinks and a purification procedure to eliminate toxic substances. If the Detox includes eating away at all body fat, then it’s quite clearly working.

FBI Investigating Tom Cruise Death Threats

The FBI is investigating a death threats sent to Tom Cruise and wife Katie Holmes.

The threats, alleged to be coming from groups opposed to Scientology, have resulted in an increase in security around Cruise, wife Katie Holmes and daughter Suri.

The threats are being taken so seriously that Cruise is now apparently traveling in bullet proof cars, and is even thought to have spent $10 million building an underground bunker at his Colorado Estate.

In August, threats were made to place anthrax in the air vents of Tom’s Los Angeles office according to the Telegraph.

Anti-scientology protesters have also targeted screenings of Cruise’s latest film Valkyrie.

Katie Holmes looking more than a little worse for wear

Whether it’s the pressure of being married to Tom Cruise, motherhood or a Broadway show we’re not sure, but actress Katie Holmes has been caught looking a more than a little worse for wear.

The Daily Mirror notes that Katie looks run-down, gaunt and tired, sparking concerns about her health.

The Mirror has more pics, including visable sores on Katie’s body. Something definitely not right here.

Tom Cruise does Jay Leno’s Tonight Show

Tom Cruise in a wide ranging interview on Jay Leno’s Tonight Sow said he was surprised by his Golden Globe Nomination for his comedic role in Tropic Thunder and that he didn’t even know that they were announcing the nominations today.

He also told Jay Leno that he has a special surprise for Katie Holmes birthday, has seen Katie’s play at least 20 times and that he would be interested in treading the Broadway boards, doing either a play or a musical.

He also does an Elvis impersonation that is worth checking out.

Britney Spears Proves She is Crazy: Thinking of Joining Church of Scientology

Britney has had an incredible couple of weeks, she has got her body back, completed a promotional tour of Europe, released a doco about her life, her latest album is selling like hotcakes, and then to ensure we don’t get lulled into a false sense of security, she shows that she is still a little nuts. Apparently she is considering joining the Church of Scientology.

According to the U.K.’s Heat Magazine, Britney recently told a friend she was open to “new things” including Scientology.

“I have met Katie a few times, so I called her up and just started asking questions about Scientology.

“Katie told me she wasn’t so sure about it at first either, but once Tom explained it to her and she read the books and took some classes, it really started to work for her. Then Tom wanted to talk to me about it, so I did. He was nice and answered all my questions and sent me books.”

Sure he did. How about being open to something new, like being normal.

What will Madonna say? Weren’t you supposed to be considering Kabbalah?

Tom Cruise Is Still Creepy

Tom Cruise has continued to tell us just how much he loooves Katie Holmes. Isn’t that so 2006? This time they’re busy making us feel uncomfortable on the cover of T: The New York Times Style Magazine’s and splashed inside, too! Us mag reports that Tom got Katie an engagement ring after the first date, with Tom admitting that:

‘I knew I wanted to marry Kate when I met her.’

When Holmes confessed to him that she dreamed of marrying him as a little girl, ‘I said I wouldn’t want to disappoint her,’ Cruise says. So, the actor says, he bought Holmes an engagement ring shortly after their first date in 2005.

‘At one point, I thought she was going to ask me to marry her first and I put her off by changing the subject,’ Cruise adds. ‘I wanted to ask her.’

It’s cool that Tom thinks Katie was going to ask him, but I kind of wish she had. If she’d seemed less robotic from the get-go, things could’ve turned out differently.

Cruise and Beckham Families Merge in Bizarre Wedding Ceremony

Fresh from spending Thanksgiving together in New York, the Cruise and Beckham families are ready to take their special relationship, that one step further. They plan to do this by holding what can only be described as some sort of marriage. Talk about creepy.

Apparently a source said: ‘Tom and David have been friends for years and they and their families spend a lot of time together. This year Tom wanted to make a special gesture that would show how much he appreciates their friendship and he thought this would be the perfect way.’”

That special gesture will see Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes merge their family with Victoria and David Beckham’s in a special ceremony. Tom will hold the bizarre service – during which the families will solemnly vow to be brothers and sisters and exchange heartfelt speeches.

The gesture serves as a Thanksgiving present from Tom to the Beckhams. Surely they could have said how about a gift voucher?

Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise Need to Stop Matching

Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise have brought matching back, and it’s creepy. Their matching Power Suits in New York rival the grey date suits of September, but are nowhere near as strange as the jeans fiasco.

Katie’s really turning into a younger, thinner, taller version of Tom. Do you think it’s a forced thing to try to demonstrate their love publicly? There are better ways that are far less weird, and if Katie wants to stay away from the control-issue rumors (and related protests), I recommend that she back away from the slacks.

There Were Protesters, But Katie Managed a Real Smile

Last night, there were lots of masks, signs, and chants to “Free Katie” around the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre, where she was doing her preview for All My Sons and a scary grinning Tom Cruise was watching. CNN reports that there weren’t more than 20 people getting anti-Scientology outside, but Katie still managed to look much less disturbed than at the dress rehearsal on Wednesday.

People are even saying that Katie did an awesome job, so hopefully we’ll be seeing some real smiles soon. OK! mag reports that the post-show scene was encouraging:

“Outside, the pre-show crowd had swelled to more than 150 screaming fans and dozens of photographers as a half-dozen police officers on horseback patroled the crowd who now carried signs pronouncing, ‘Well Done Katie!’.”

A member of the audience did say that Katie “has her hands on her hips a lot like she’s posing for pictures and she projects her voice a bit too much,” so we’ll see how things go.

Katie Holmes Might Just Do It!

First Katie Holmes was bringing in a dismal number of All My Sons sales (presumably in part from her husband scaring people away), but it look like She’s Back. According to Variety, things aren’t as bad as they might seem. They claim that All My Sons is “selling just fine“:

“However, if the advance figure released by producer Eric Falkenstein is accurate, “All My Sons” looks to rank alongside “Equus” as one of the fall season’s biggest nonmusical box office performers.”

What? Really?! It’s too bad that this report comes waaay too late for anyone to believe it. Then again, these anti-Scientology protesters might do the trick in terms of publicity. Things could turn around after all!

Does Katie Holmes Have a Baby Bump?

Tom Cruise was a mess on the red carpet for the L.A. screening of Tropic Thunder, and it was up to Katie Holmes to save the day (okay, night) with un-wiglike hair and not-so-mumsy PVC and satin. She was accessorized by something else as well– her weirdly expanded belly that looks like it’s on the fence of being an F.B. (Food Baby).

Maybe Tom is just distracted by new career plans that might branch off into the world of comedy with “Food Fight,” about ” a snooty New York chef (Cruise) who must cook meals at a school cafeteria.”

Get a load of Katie Holmes’ kinda-sorta baby bump.

Way Too Much Attention Is Being Paid to Katie’s Jeans

… and I’m part of the problem. Hear me out: Katie Holmes has a promotional genius behind her, whipping up a frenzy all on account of some silly denim. How much coverage has she managed to finagle simply because of a fugly pair of jeans? Or, more accurately, Tom’s fugly pair of jeans:

“Katie Holmes hasn’t just been wearing men’s jeans on recent NYC outings – she’s wearing husband Tom Cruise’s jeans!

‘It’s the new look Katie is going for,’ a source tells Us. A reason Holmes has been rolling them up? She’s 5′9″ and Cruise is 5′7″.”

Well, at least there was some change yesterday– uncuffed, baby!

Katie Holmes Brings Tight-Rolling Back

I never thought that Katie Holmes would be responsible for bringing back a trend as horrid as tight-rolling, and I couldn’t imagine that I would be barraged by so many images of it in a week. (For reference: here, here, here, and yes– here.)

Maybe Katie’s really doing one of those techniques where she just keeps wearing the same thing until we all get tired of her. While it’s very possible, I can’t seem to pull my eyes away from those pants.

Drat! These tight-rolls have got me in a mind-meld.

Will You Miss “The Rock”?

It’s official: Dwayne Johnson has retired his nickname, The Rock, and has asked us to do the same. In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, he spoke about his comedy career and his new image to goes along with it:

I’m aware of everything that comes with that nickname, and I just think there’s a lot more you can do without it. But I wanted it to happen naturally, from ‘The Rock’ to Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson to ‘Dwayne Johnson’ he said in EW.

I’m going to miss calling someone “The Rock.” Can you just give up a nickname like that? A name change always has the potential of going over as well as Katie Holmes’ change to “Kate” in 2006 (horribly), but then again, if anyone besides Tom Cruise is orchestrating it, there’s a much better chance of success.

Tom and Katie Are New York Bound

Batten down the hatches, East Coast: Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are moving to New York. Since Katie Holmes is going to be embarking on her Broadway career this Fall, Tom will be trailing behind to support her. I’ll be thinking of him when I’m in the streets of NYC!

People may have been surprised by the casting decision, but All My Sons producer Eric Falkenstein supported his decision by saying that Katie’s “[N]ot a celebrity type. She’s done brilliant work in films like Pieces of April and The Ice Storm. [...] [Katie is] a natural sweetheart who can sniff out phonies … Katie basically has that exact moral fiber [of her character in the play].”

I believe it, too. It’s not her I have a problem with, it’s the plus one that’s a bit much. His new website is helping, though.

Tom & Katie Might Spawn Again

This makes me sad. Not only is Kate Holmes turning into a super robot, but they might be planning a new addition to the family soon.

A source said, ‘She (Katie) said she’s got the itch. [...] Tom said if Katie wants another baby, she doesn’t have to ask twice. He always wanted more. It was Katie who has been holding off. Until now.’

I’m actually pretty surprised that Katie isn’t incubating another already. Is she calling the shots now?! Maybe Tom is too busy with his somewhat-shaky film Valkyrie that has been pushed to a 2009 release. That’s probably better to prolong the damage that this one’s going to do on his image, considering that he plays a Nazi and it probably sucks.

My recommendation to them: they need to get some new “friends.” You know, ones who don’t spill their secrets to the press. Surely they’d be a little more afraid of Tom Cruise? I know I am.
