Like many of us who logged into Instagram yesterday, many celebrities saw the new Terms of Use and decided to leave, says TMZ.

Tiffany Amber Thiessen and Kate Walsh are among many claiming the Instagram changes are outrageous.

The celebrity mutiny has already begun over the fact that Instagram will now be less than apologetically using its users’ photos in advertisements without their consent.

What was once known as a popular image hosting site could easily be seeing a migration much like Myspace suffered after Zynga began their financial powerhouse gaming system on Facebook with applications like Farmville and Cafe World.
Instagram’s new assertion is that it may now receive business revenue to use your photos and various posted data “in connection with paid or sponsored content or promotions, without any compensation to you,” according to the Miami Herald.

Its integration with Facebook was what started it all, a site that already uses your photo and targeted marketing details to put ads in front of you, clearly stating that it is a sponsored advertisement.  However, Instagram is saying that it will not always clearly state what is an ad and what isn’t.

Free use of your photos in ads that may not even be noticeable?  This is what has very famous people in an uproar.  Certain models would undoubtedly delete their accounts because their pictures are clearly meant to be used only by the photographer, and Instagram will treat such a blatant violation of copyrights as “part of the agreement”.  It’s in there.

If you’re a fan of Grey’s Anatomy or Private Practice, when you hear Kate Walsh’s name, you wouldn’t normally think that personal strife or poverty is synonymous with her name. However, in a very personal video detailing why she’s voting for Obama, the actress talks about growing up poor and the issues she finds important in this election.

Walsh, who currently stars on the hit medical drama Private Practice, has been on the campaign trail speaking out for president Obama in the quad cities. A few days ago, Kate Walsh took to her own YouTube account to speak out one last time on why the issues surrounding the current election are important to her. In the personal video, Kate Walsh stated:

“I just wanted to tell you a little bit about myself, and why Barack Obama is so important to me, and why this election is so important to me. My father was an immigrant. He came over from Ireland when he was 4 years old with his parents. He had a pretty hard life. He spent a lot of his time in an orphanage. For the majority of his career he was a union man.”

The actress continued to speak about her life, detailing her mother’s struggles raising a family on her own and the poverty she lived in because of those hard times:

“My parents were divorced when I was 6 years old. My mother went back out into the work force. She was largely unskilled, and depended hugely on the federal government program called CEDA to train her, so that she could get out in the work force, and make some money. The same government subsidies kept me going when my mom went back to work. These government programs that provided daycare for the elementary school that I went to, so that my mom could drop me off, and know that I was well taken care of. We struggled. We were on food stamps. We relied heavily on medicaid, and medicare. I went to work when I was 14”

Student loans were hugely debated during the presidential debate, as students are graduating or dropping out with a mountain of debt. Walsh was no stranger to these hard times and stated:

“My parents didn’t have the money so I had to take out student loans. I accrued thousands, and thousands, and thousands of dollars in student loan debt. At least, somewhere between 30 to 50 thousand dollars, and then I left. Here I was going back out into the world at the ripe age of 20, with this massive debt, and no health insurance. I defaulted on my student loans, and because I was no longer in college, I was at the mercy of whatever I could get, medical wise, and planned parenthood was always there for me.”

The actress later added:

“I carried that anxiety with me of not having health insurance all through my twenties. I know what it’s like to live both with that debt, and that anxiety. It wasn’t until I was 36 years old, when I got on Grey’s Anatomy, and I could finally pay back my student loans once and for all.”

It’s been a long road for Private Practice’s Dr. Addison Forbes Montgomery. Kate Walsh, the actress who plays the raven haired doctor started portraying the doctor on Grey’s Anatomy in 2005 and managed to survive her very own spin-off. Now Walsh confirms that the shortened sixth season of Private Practice will be her last.

The actress took the opportunity to make the announcement public on Bethenny, the new talk show from reality star Bethenny Frankel. According to several sources the interview is set to air on Wednesday. During the interview Kate Walsh said, “This is my last season for Private Practice… It’s been an incredible journey an amazing ride. I’m hugely, hugely grateful.”

Her exit isn’t the only one from the medical drama. It was announced that Tim Daly was also leaving after five seasons on the show. Walsh went on to discuss her time on the show, “It’s been a long time being Addison,” she continues. “I feel incredibly grateful to Shonda Rhimes and all the fans that have been there from Day 1 to now. I’m really excited about the last season.”

Following Daly’s announcement that he was no longer going to be on Private Practice, creator and head writer of both Grey’s and Private Practice explained the changes the show has taken for the abbreviated sixth season. “There’s a lot of budgetary issues on that show,”  Rhimes continued telling TVGuide Magazine. “We need to make sure the show is viable and that we can produce it.”

Even though Kate Walsh has announced her decision to leave that doesn’t exactly mean the show won’t go on without her, Rhimes explained. “I have been told that I’m not allowed to think of us only doing 13 episodes.” Private Practice is set to return on its new day of Tuesday in a 10 pm time slot in the fall.

Kate Walsh has a pretty revealing  spread in this month’s issue of SHAPE Magazine. Not only does the “Private Practice” star pose nude for the magazine, she also dishes on her true hair color and her thoughts about plastic surgery.

Walsh, now 44, says that she isn’t a fan of plastic surgery. Walsh said:

“We live in a strange time when getting plastic surgery is as common as dyeing your hair. But in my profession, I need a malleable face. Everyone has her line in the sand. I draw mine at facials and laser treatments…. If others want to go a step further, it’s their call.”

Walsh may be against plastic surgery, but she admits that she’s changed a few things about herself over the years. Walsh may not go under the knife anytime soon, but the famous redhead admits that she was actually born a blonde.

But Walsh says that her natural blonde hair never felt right for her. She always felt inside that she was a true red head. Walsh said:

“I felt like an imposter before. I’m stronger and sassier as a redhead. It’s much more me.”

Walsh’s revealing interview, and photo-shoot, will appear in the next issue of SHAPE which hits shelves on February 27th.

Walsh, who normally plays a prim and proper doctor on ABC’s Private Practice, joined a gang of entertainers – William Shatner, Seth MacFarlane, Steve-O, and Jon Lovitz, just to name a few -  who lined up to skewer Sheen with off-color jokes, insults, and generally untrue stories, all done in good humor.

Despite admittedly having pre-performance jitters, Kate arguably delivered the best line of the night when she said to Sheen:

“I have to say Charlie, you are an incredible medical specimen. I guess that’s the benefits of waking up every morning at the crack of crack” – an obvious jab at Sheen’s drug-littered past.

The jokes got even more personal from there, as Walsh took a shot at Sheen for his trouble at home.

“You know what’s amazing, despite all those years of abusing your lungs, your kidneys, your liver, the only thing you’ve had removed is your kids,” said Walsh, who later revealed that she began her career doing improv comedy.

Following the roast, Kate, 43, told USA Today:

“[I]t was a good exercise in masochism to come up here…You never want to rest on your laurels. You want to keep doing things that terrify you.”

Kelsey Grammer has knocked up a Virgin Airways stewardness, despite having not officially ended his third marriage.

Grammer, 55, is still locked in a Frasier-earnings related dispute with wife Camille Donatacci- with whom he has an eight year old daughter and five year old son. An impending baby isn’t necessarily the best news one can receive during a divorce, but that didn’t stop 29-year-old flight attendant Kayte Walsh’s dad from blabbing to the Daily Mail about his daughter’s pregnancy:

“It’s great news and we are very pleased for them both.

“I don’t know how long they have been together and I have not met him yet, but I’m looking forward to it. We just found out about her pregnancy a couple of days ago.

“I think they met in New York socially because she works for Virgin Airways and often stops over in America.

“The main thing is for them both to be happy and they are – they have just hit it off together.”

The child will be Grammar’s fifth- that he knows of.
