Kate Middleton may be working hard to get her home ready for the new baby but it isn’t likely that she’ll have a baby shower.

Why? Well, it’s pretty safe to say that the Duchess of Cambridge will be able to afford her own strollers and onesies. According to ABC, royal experts say that it would be bad form for Kate to accept presents for the baby.

The Hollywood Life reports that Queen Elizabeth and Queen Victoria didn’t have baby showers and that it wouldn’t be very royal of Kate to accept presents.

Victoria Arbiter, ABC News’ Royal Expert, said: “(Kate won’t have a baby shower because) there’s the added pressure that they are clearly very wealthy, and a lavish baby shower would be seen as highly inappropriate … There’s nothing they can’t go out and buy themselves.”

If Kate does end up getting gifts she’ll probably end up donating them to charity. Middleton and Prince William did the same thing for their wedding registry. Instead of having people buy them presents they asked for people to make a charitable donation.

Turning down a baby shower will also give Kate the opportunity to do some baby shopping on her own. According to Arbiter, Middleton will probably head to local British shops like Mamas and Papas for her newborn needs because she wants to help the British economy.

Buying a stroller may not sound like a big contribution but Middleton knows that whatever she buys is going to fly off the shelves.

Arbiter said: “They don’t necessarily buy the top of the line products. They’ll buy something practical and useful … Kate will likely shop for British products. She’s well aware of the ‘Kate effect’ and knows whatever she buys will sell out. If a product does sell out from a British store, it’s good for the economy.”

A Middleton baby shower isn’t likely but it still could happen. Pippa was reportedly planning a small gathering for her sister last week. If Pippa does throw a little party, it will most likely be a small affair with close family and friends.

Kate Middleton pregnancy rumors have amped up again after the Duchess of Cambridge was seen snubbing an offer for wine during toasts in Singapore, opting for water instead.

Middleton re-ignited the rumors that have been swirling around the future king and queen since they were married last year, reports The Daily Beast. This time the Duchess of Cambridge was seen toasting at a state banquet in Singapore with water instead of wine.

Water is a highly unusual beverage for royals to use while making toasts, as they usually do so with a full glass of wine. But for a mother-to-be, avoiding alcohol is advised.

This latest speculation is just that — rumors started up because Middleton has been seen refusing alcohol during one dinner. But it does come on the heels of unconfirmed rumors that the royal couple is expecting a baby.

One source, who claimed to be inside the Royal circle, stated that Kate is definitely pregnant, but that the couple are waiting to announce the pregnancy for “as long as possible.”

Friends of the young royal couple have said that William and Kate have made it no secret that they want to have kids, and are actively trying for a baby.

E! Online notes that Kate Middleton was not the only royal who opted for water, as her husband, Prince William did the same, making it seem as if the jet-lagged couple may have simply preferred water that night.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been spending the last few days in Singapore as part of the couple’s Diamond Jubilee tour of the country. And it seems like the visit has been quite liberating as it has allowed the heir to the English monarchy to air some home truths.

When meeting some of the locals, the Prince was asked how many children he would like, and he responded by declaring “he was thinking about having two.” There doesn’t appear to have been much of a discussion with his wife, but we can assume that they’re singing from the same hymn sheet.

Another incredible revelation from the pair came when they disclosed that their desired superhero power would be invisibility. When asked the question William replied, “That’s a hard question – I’m not sure. I’ll have to think about it,” before giving it a few seconds contemplation and responding, “I think invisibility.”

The duchess then decided that she would need the same advantage, otherwise the first offspring of Charles and Diana “would be able to sneak up on her.”

During the visit, the pair have planted a local tree and visited a Rolls-Royce jet engine factory where Kate completed the production of a Trent 900 engine. It has also seen a huge number of people turn out and wait over three hours to see the royal couple, with several of them fainting due to the incredible heat.

William’s remarks come only a few days after sources claimed Kate and William conceived their baby after the Olympic ceremony. That Danny Boyle sure knows how to get a crowd all het up, doesn’t he.

Could Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge and wife of Prince William, be pregnant? According to a source in the couple’s social circles, Kate and William have been trying to conceive before the end of the year, with one insider saying that the Duchess became pregnant shortly after the Olympics.

The news about a possible royal pregnancy comes after another insider reported that Middleton and Prince William have already started selecting baby names, reports The Christian Post.

According to the source, an official statement should be coming in the next few days or weeks, announcing the future king or queen of England. The source said:

“Friends say Kate is convinced it’s happened, and while she and William are keeping the news close to the vest, they’re delirious with joy.”

 The Examiner notes that the insider added:

“A woman can always tell when the earliest signs appear, and it’s believe that a passionate night together at their rented country house on an estate in Wales, just after the end of the London Olympics, did the trick.”

The latest royal baby rumor should be taken with a grain of salt, however, until the news is officially confirmed by the royal palace, considering how many Kate Middleton baby rumors pop up each day.

As for baby names? The royal couple have reportedly been considering naming the possible future queen Diana, after Prince William’s mother, or even Elizabeth, after the Queen herself.

The rumor mill cranked up even before she was married.  There was talk of a shotgun Royal wedding.  There have been so many reports of a Kate Middleton Pregnancy that they barely make news anymore…until now.  Recent pictures of the Dutchess of York are looking more and more like she sporting a baby bump.

Duchess Catherine and Prince William were in Scotland at the Order of the Thistle in Edinburgh on Thursday.  The Order of the Thistle is a major British ceremony held yearly.  Both Kate and William hold Scottish title, the Earl and Countess of Strathearn. Kate even carried a scarf made of Strathearn tartan to further join the party.

Style-wise, Catherine looked glowing in a custom Emilia Wickstead yellow coat-dress — her third choice from the designer, following that pink garden party dress that she repeated twice, and the green St. Patrick’s Day coat dress. But it wasn’t her clothes that are making news, it was that her Tartan scarf was placed directly in front of her belly in almost all of the photos.  All the photos show a Kate with a fuller face than normal and the beginning of a bump under her dress.

It may be time for the Royals to break out that zillion dollar bottle of champagne they save for these types of occasions. Well not for Kate at least but the rest can celebrate.  And if she isn’t pregnant and we just insulted her weight, we offer a royal size apology. We just want the best for the newly married couple, and more news about a royal family offspring!
