Amber Rose Slams RIP Kanye West Rumors

Kanye West’s girlfriend Amber Rose apparently doesn’t like the Kanye West Dead rumor that surfaced yesterday, and she’s taken to Twitter to fight back.

The rumors, which claim Kanye West had died in a car accident in Los Angeles, are still doing the rounds nearly a day later under the phrase RIP Kanye West on Twitter.

“Its in extreme poor taste to have that as a trendy topic” Rose told her Twitter followers. “It’s totally disrespectful to make up a story like this where all human and we all make mistakes… and to say someone died cuz of a mistake is ridiculous.”

“U wouldn’t want someone to say that about u. I’ll always ride for my man!!!! I’m bout to get off here and still RIDE for him. LITERALLY. Holla!”

The rumors have split many online, with some saying it was a case of wishful thinking, others claiming they’re true, and the few fans Kanye West has left claiming that wishing he was dead is disgraceful.

The fake celebrity death circuit has taken to wishful thinking this evening with a rumor circulating that Kanye West is dead.

According to the story doing the rounds, Kanye was killed in a “bizarre car crash” in Los Angeles involving two luxury cars, with a second injured, a third arrested for gross vehicular manslaughter and a fourth person detained by police.

The report goes on to say “a Los Angeles Police Department officer who witnessed the wreck and saw a red Ferrari and a white Porsche “spinning out of control” The Ferrari “hit the curb and then collided with a pole.” The Porsche came to a stop at the scene for a few seconds and then sped away.”

Sadly I have to report that Kanye West isn’t dead, but I’ll leave the last word to one line currently doing the rounds on Twitter: “West died in a car crash earlier tonight. He will be mi- IMA LET YOU FINISH BUT IM DEAD.”

Kanye West helps race relations by saying he loves chicken because he’s black

Superduche Kanye West has made a rather interesting contribution to race relations by saying loves chicken because he’s black.

Kanye made headlines last week after he apparently went mental backstage at a concert when everyone was served fried chicken except him. After berating staff and finally receiving his chicken, he took one bite and threw the rest out.

Kanye West Lady Gaga Tour Cancelled

Kanye West and Lady Gaga’s joint tour has been canceled.

The ‘Love Lockdown’ star and the ‘Poker Face’ singer had planned a string of shows, which were due to start next month and run until January.

However, the tour – entitled ‘Fame Kills’, and which had been planned for months is no longer going ahead. Promoters Live Nation are yet to offer any explanation.

The news comes just weeks after Kanye was heavily criticized for invading the stage during Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards to insist his friend Beyonce Knowles should have won.

He made several apologies and then appeared on US TV and blamed his outburst on failing to grieve properly following his mother’s death in 2007.

He said, “So many celebrities, they never take the time off. I’ve never taken the time off to really – you know? Just music after music and tour after tour. I’m just ashamed that my hurt caused someone else’s hurt… But I need to, after this, take some time off and just analyze how I’m going to make it through the rest of this life, how I’m going to improve.”

UK Rapper Chipmunk Triumphs at MOBO Awards

UK rapper Chipmunk beat Kanye West and Eminem to be named Best Hip-Hop act at the MOBO Awards yesterday, September 30.

The ‘Diamond Rings’ rapper beat off stiff competition from the American rap superstars to take home the prize at the ceremony, which recognizes Music Of Black Origin (MOBO), held in Glasgow, Scotland.

In a triumphant night for British urban acts, R‘n’B group JLS and pop/rap crossover band N-Dubz also took home two accolades each.

JLS won Best Newcomer and Best Song, for their debut single ‘Beat Again’, while N-Dubz scored Best UK Act and Best Album for their debut LP ‘Uncle B’.

JLS member Aston Merrygold said, “We never thought we’d get two. We’re having an incredible night.

“I am really emotional, I need two minutes to sit down and take stock.

“We only put the group together two years ago so to see how quickly things have got to this stage is amazing.”

N-Dubz rapper Dappy added, “It’s been great. We’re going to get some food down us now and then go out to get some crazy, sexy women.”

Other winners on the night included Beyonce Knowles, who won Best Video for her song ‘Single Ladies’ and was named Best International act. She was not at the event, but she sent a message of thanks via video.

Best Reggae went to Sean Paul, while the show’s co-host Keri Hilson took home the award for Best R‘n’B.

There was also a tribute to the late ‘King of Pop’ Michael Jackson, which was introduced by his sister La Toya and featured performances from Michael’s brother Jermaine, 12-year-old singer Shaheen Jafargholi – who performed at the ‘Thriller’ singer’s memorial concert in July – and dance troupe Diversity, who won TV talent show ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ this year.

Jay-Z has defended “passionate” Kanye West’s behavior at the MTV Video Music Awards

Kanye West has come under fire for storming the stage when Taylor Swift was accepting her Best Female Video prize, but his mentor Jay-Z insists the incident has been blown out of proportion.

He said: “Kanye is like my little brother he’s just a super-passionate person. Of course it was rude because it was her moment, but that’s what he believed. I think it’s been blown out of proportion, he didn’t kill anybody, no one got harmed.

“I think he’s passionate and he needs to watch that. At the end of the day, we’ll celebrate him for his passion rather than vilify him, because the thing which causes him to make great records is what also makes him step out of line. He was inappropriate, it wasn’t fair to Taylor at all. Move on. But I don’t think he should lay low.”

Jay-Z also revealed this isn’t the first time he has had to ask Kanye to keep his passion in check.

He added to Britain’s Radio 1: “ He’s very intelligent and he’s been that passionate from his first record, he used to jump on the table when we were recording the first ‘Blueprint’ album and I’d be like, ‘Yo, this is not the time for that.’

“If he had changed since his first record, it would be different but he’s always been like that.”

Rumor Claims Kanye West Taylor Swift Interruption was a Setup

An unsubstantiated rumor currently doing the rounds claims that Kanye West interrupting Taylor Swift at the VMA’s was a setup to make Beyonce look good.

The likelihood of the rumor being true is slim at best, but after it was disclosed that the Bruno/ Eminem “incident” at the MTV Movie Awards was a setup, we can’t rule the rumor out as being false either.

According to comments allegedly made by a Jay-Z staffer:

This was all a huge publicity stunt set up by Jay-Z. MTV wanted him to perform at the end of the show and he said on one condition – they gave Beyonce a performance and made her look good. And so, the whole Taylor Swift fiasco was born. Jay called up Kanye and asked him to do it for him because Kanye doesn’t mind being seen as a jackass and it’d be believable if he did it. So when Beyonce let Taylor finish her speech instead of making her own speech, everyone thought “Wow, Beyonce really is a class act!” and Jay-Z finished off the show with his performance.

Sites running the rumor aren’t linking back to anything that would substantially confirm its truth, so although we’re calling highly unlikely at this stage, those involved may deny or confirm the allegation in the week ahead.

Off the record seems to have become on the record if it involves celebrity commentary in Washington, with video being published showing US President Barack Obama calling Kanye West a jackass.

The comment from Obama was first reported yesterday after an ABC News reporter tweeted the news despite the comment being made off the record as the President prepared for interviews in the White House. The video was shown on CNN today.

In the video, Obama is asked about the Kanye West Taylor Swift incident and responds ” You know, it was like, she’s getting an award and what are you butting in? … The young lady seems like a perfectly nice person, she’s getting her award and what’s he doing up there? He’s a jackass.”

As a contrite Kanye West apologized to the nation on Jay Leno’s show last night, President Barack Obama dissed him off the record in an ABC interview.

Obama was just chatting with ABC’s reporters when he let slip his opinion of the rapper’s now infamous MTV VMA awards outburst during Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech. Calling West a “jackass” wasn’t an official part of the interview, but ABC reporter Terry Moran let the comment slip on Twitter. And as we all know, what has been twote cannot be retracted, at least not after it hits all the major political gossip blogs and news aggregators.

ABC said in a statement:

“ABC News employees prematurely tweeted a portion of those remarks that turned out to be from an off-the-record portion of the interview.”

But Obama wasn’t the only one lashing out at Kanye harshly- former American Idol Kelly Clarkson penned a seething missive at the rapper on her blog:

What happened to you as a child?? Did you not get hugged enough?? Something must have happened to make you this way and I think we’re all just curious as to what would make a grown man go on national television and make a talented artist, let alone teenager, feel like sh*t. I mean, I’ve seen you do some pretty sh*tty things, but you just keep amazing me with your tactless, a*****e ways. It’s absolutely fascinating how much I don’t like you. I like everyone. I even like my a*****e ex that cheated on me over you…which is pretty odd since I don’t even personally know you. The best part of this evening is that you weren’t even up for THIS award and yet you still have a problem with the outcome. Is winning a moon man that much of a life goal?? You can have mine if it will shut you up. Is it that important, really??

Clarkson goes on to say that Kanye is “bitter” that Swift “outsold” him.

I’m very sad on the news that Patrick Swayze has died, but this pick says more about Kanye West than Patrick.

As a child of the 80s, let me be far from the first to say how sad I am, but at the same time, Kanye West is a piece of shit who deserves to be mocked. I’d think, if he was still alive, that Patrick Swayze would get a laugh out of this. It’s sad that we’ll never know.

Kanye West grovels for forgiveness on Jay Leno show

Disgraced music douche Kanye West continues to operate in damage control mode after interrupting Taylor Swift at the VMA’s, grovelling for forgiveness on Monday night’s Jay Leno show.

West, who was booked to perform on the show alongside Jay-Z, Rihanna, was thanked by Leno for appearing “in light of all the things that have been going on.” West responded that “it’s been extremely difficult…just dealing with the fact that I hurt someone or took something away, you know, from a talented artist or anyone.”

Not content to simply say “I was wrong,” Kanye still tried to justify his actions, going on to say “I only wanted to help
people. My entire life, I’ve only wanted to give and do something that I felt was right.”

In a moment of light banter, Leno asked West “So when did you know you were wrong? Was it afterwards? as you were doing it? When did it strike you, “Uh-oh”?” to which West replied “As soon as I gave the mic back to her and she didn’t keep going.

West though confessed that he needed a break, saying that “I need to, after this, take some time off and just analyze how I’m going to make it through the rest of this life, how I’m going to improve. Because I am a celebrity, and that’s something I have to deal with. And if there’s anything I could do to help Taylor in the future or help anyone, I’d like — you know, I want to live this thing. It’s hard sometimes.”

Kanye West had a bit of a change of heart after interrupting Taylor Swift’s speech at the VMAs and being booted from the venue.

West all caps’d over to his blog to tap out a heartfelt apology to Ms. Swift, whose award acceptance he interrupted to protest her win over Beyonce’s Single Ladies. Kanye shouted said:

I’M SOOOOO SORRY TO TAYLOR SWIFT AND HER FANS AND HER MOM. I SPOKE TO HER MOTHER RIGHT AFTER AND SHE SAID THE SAME THING MY MOTHER WOULD’VE SAID. SHE IS VERY TALENTED! Beyonce, who has been in the limelight for about a decade now, recalled her first award and the excitement she felt- so she offers her acceptance speech slot to Taylor Swift. Epic douche: Kanye West interrupts Taylor Swift at VMA’s

Kanye West cemented his place as the biggest douche in the music industry Sunday night when he interrupted Taylor Swift at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMA).

Swift was on stage accepting the award for Best Female Video when West appeared next to her, saying “Yo Taylor, I’m happy for you…I’m sorry, but Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time.”

West’s interruption met with boos from the crowd, and other celebrities at the event let fly on Twitter. Pink wrote in a Tweet that “Kanye west is the biggest piece of shit on earth. Quote me” while Katy Perry added “F*$k U Kanye, it’s like u stepped on a kitten.”

Unconfirmed reports suggest that Kanye had been drinking before the incident, which at least one supporter claimed may have affected his judgment.

New Single “Forever” Will See Drake, Kanye West, Lil Wayne And Eminem Collaborate

Santa Monica, CA (CNS) – A new film documenting the rise of NBA Star LeBron James will bring together some of the greatest musicians in hip-hop for the film’s soundtrack. The album for the film will be titled “Music Inspired By the Film More Than A Game.”

The single “Forever” will see Drake, Kanye West, Lil Wayne and Eminem collaborate for a song about endurance and staying power. “Forever” will be released on iTunes on September 15.

Other tracks on the album are “History,” produced by Kanye West, from rap giant Jay-Z; “I’m Ballin’” from young sensation Soulja Boy Tell’Em; “King On Set” from T.I. featuring Young Dro; and “Drop It Low,” the debut single from songwriter, Ester Dean, which features Chris Brown.

The album also includes “Top Of The World” by Rich Boy, “We Ready” by Ya Boy, “Go Hard” by Hayes, “Frozen” by Jared Evans and “If You Dream,” with a collaboration featuring Tank, Tyrese, Toni Braxton, Jordin Sparks, Omarion, Faith Evans, JoJo, Charlie Wilson, Tamar Braxton and Steven Russel, produced by Harvey Mason Jr.

“Music Inspired By the Film More Than A Game” will be released in stores on September 29. The movie “More Than a Game” will be released in theaters in Los Angeles, New York and Cleveland on October 2.

Kanye West declares self “new king of pop”

The sense of loss and deep, resonating sadness many Americans feel following the unexpected death of Michael Jackson last month has been mitigated slightly as Kanye West stepped forward to claim the throne as King of Pop. At least, Kanye thinks so.

West, known worldwide for his modesty and sense of perspective when it comes to evaluation of his work, importance, and relevance to music and the world as a whole, previously worked under another self-bestowed title- the International Asshole. However, Kanyeezy has graciously and judiciously claimed the vacant crown, allowing Americans to breathe easy and allaying fears that marauding pop-stars from places like Europe or Sweden could take control of our destabilized pop-monarchy, bringing all shades of socialized medicine here and stealing our jerbs.

Kanye gave a short speech on the matter to something called “Scrape TV”:

“You know everyone loves and respects Michael but times change. It’s so sad to see Michael gone but it makes a path for a new King of Pop and I’m willing to take that on. There’s nobody who can match me in sales and in respect so it only makes sense for me to take over Michael’s crown and become the new King.

“First there was Elvis, then there was Michael, now in the 21st century it’s Kanye’s time to rule. I am the new King of Pop.”

Jay-Z (Brooklyn, stand up!) dropped a new track at 9:11 AM today- titled Run This Town and featuring Hov’s protege Rihanna and frequent Jay-Z collaborator Kanye West. Run This Town is the first proper track off Blueprint 3 and follows Jay-Z’s last single Death of Autotune.

I generally dig all of Jay-Z’s efforts, but I have to give this one a few more listens until I decide whether it will be up there with The Black Album in my most played tracks ever. Some of the stand-outiest lyrics come from Kanyeezy on the track, such as this one:

Poor Kanye- as decent as his music may or may not be (confession: Gone is in my top five most played iTunes tracks ever), he can’t keep his ginormous ego from clouding his achievements.
