It was reported yesterday that Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel had gotten engaged over the holidays. The celebrity rumor got some serious backing today as Timberlake’s grandma, Sadie Bomar, confirmed the engagement.

Bomar told Gossip Cop:

“He called me on Christmas Day and told me he’s engaged… the family loves Jessie … she’s a very sweet girl.”

Bomar said that Justin and Jessica were waiting until after the holidays until they made the news public. Well JT, it’s January 5th. Let’s see the ring.

The Inquisitr reported yesterday that Timberlake asked Biel to marry him during a skiing trip in Wyoming.

Us Weekly is reporting in their latest issue (due out Friday) that the on again off again couple has finally decided to make it official after four and a half years.

Justin supposedly popped the question in late December when the couple was on a skiing trip to Jackson, Wyoming.  Jessica Biel is an avid snowboarder and Justin wanted it to be in a setting she loved.

An Insider told the magazine, “Justin knows how much she loves snowboarding and the mountains, so it was the perfect place,”.

The couple met at the Sundance Film Festival in 2007, and since then has been one of the more visible Hollywood couples. In March, the couple decided to lower the tone and take a few months off their relationship.  They both started backing away from the Press when it came to each other.

Timberlake even going as far as to tell a reporter for Vanity Fair,

“She is the single-handedly most significant person in my life … In my 30 years, she is the most special person, ok? I just don’t want to say much more, because I have to protect things that are dear to me – for instance, her,”

There were rumors that Timberlake had popped the question at the five-star Amangani Resort in Wyoming in December but there has been nothing more than that.  This may have turned out to be true.

The couple has decided to stay quiet as of now, but it seems as if the cat is truly out of the bag this time.

Last week, Justin Timberlake attended a Marine Corps Ball with Corporal Kelsey DeSantis. This week, it was Mila Kunis’ turn. Kunis accompanied Sgt. Scott Moore to the Marine Corps Ball at the North Carolina Convention Center.

So how did DeSantis and Moore score celebrity dates? Behold the power of the internet.

No media was allowed inside the ball, but Mila Kunis told Access Hollywood after the event:

“[I was surprised by] how genuine of a person he seems to be. He seems very selfless to me, so it was nice having him there. It was kind of like having one of our good friend’s at the table. He asked me a lot of questions about what I do and about me, which was really, really nice.”

After Timberlake’s Marine Corps Ball experience, he wrote a blog post saying:

“To all of you that serve every day for us… Ensuring our freedom, I say: My deepest gratitude to you. I’ve met so many of my heroes… From Michael Jordan to Michael Jackson. And, nothing makes me feel more honor and pride than when I get to meet one of you. Last night changed my life and I will never forget it. Thank you Corporal Kelsey DeSantis. Apparently, all you have to do to get a date with a celebrity is ask. Lindsay Vonn recently attended a high school prom because a high school student was simply brave enough to ask her.

Singer/Actor/Marine Corp Ball attender Justin Timberlake took some time out of his busy week to write a nice blog post about his enjoyable time at the Marine Corp Ball.

Timberlake attended the ball this past Saturday after 23-year-old  Corporal Kelsey DeSantis posted a date invitation to the A-list star on YouTube.

Justin flew to Virgnia on Saturday where he met up with DeSantis and attended the The Basic School Instructor Battalion 236th Marine Corps Birthday Ball at the Greater Richmond Convention Center.

In his post Timberlake calls the event one of the “most moving evenings” of his young life.

Justing says in his post that he has always been a supporter of the U.S. Armed Forces and felt that the opportunity to attend the event was his way of saying thank you to all of the soldiers who have given their lives and continue to put their lives on the line to protect our country. As Timberlake says of their sacrifices:

“And, they do it without asking for anything in return. I had this very feeling walking into this dinner. So, to say I was stoked to be there would be more than accurate.”

After thanking military members for their service he wrote:

“For a short while, I had the opportunity to sit with Kelsey, get to know her and get a tiny glimpse into what her life as a Marine was like. She talked about her training in mixed martial arts with a passion, a discipline, and a respect. It reminded me of how I hear my favorite athletes talk about their sport or, how I hear my favorites among my peers in music and film talk about their craft.”

“She seemed to me to be so humble and honest… Very cool. She also simultaneously seemed like she was nervous about the whole evening and if I was going to enjoy myself. “Are you ok?” she asked 2 or 3 times. “I hope you are having fun. I know you will once my crew of friends get here to the table.” I have to tell you, it’s not every day that I meet a 23 year old girl and she’s more worried about if I’m having fun or if I’m comfortable! It hit me all of a sudden that these were the type of people that look after us and our freedom… Humble, concerned for others before themselves… This was the type of person our Marine Corps was building. I was really blown away.”

Timberlake says the Marine Corp members reminded him of his own friends who are typically real, un-affected and cool to be around.

Justin also called the Marine Corp members “my heroes” while pointing out that many of them were younger than him.

Speaking once again about the service that military members provide to our country Justin Timberlake tweeted:

“To all of you that serve every day for us… Ensuring our freedom, I say: My deepest gratitude to you. I’ve met so many of my heroes… From Michael Jordan to Michael Jackson. And, nothing makes me feel more honor and pride than when I get to meet one of you. Last night changed my life and I will never forget it.”

While Timberlake originally seemed hesitant to accept the invitation in the end it at least appears on paper that he had a fun and eye-opening time at the ball.

Kate Middleton’s sister, “Her Royal Hotness” Pippa Middleton is now reportedly single after breaking up with her boyfriend, ex-cricketer Alex Loudon.

British tabloids are saying that the couple have been arguing, with Loudon not able to cope with Pippa’s new status as a sex symbol.

Reports had it also that after the royal wedding, Loudon was jealous of Pippa flirting with Prince Harry. The two are just mates, according to sources.

The Sun revealed that Pippa spent the weekend with her sister and brother-in-law Prince William.

So who do you think would be the next guy for Pippa? Justin Timberlake, Daniel Radcliffe and even Joe Jonas of the Jonas Brothers have openly admitted their admiration for Pippa.

Corporal Kelsey De Santis, who heads to the ball in Washington later this evening (Nov. 12), has warned JT that he’d better have his moves in order before stepping on the dance floor with her.

“My friends keep saying, ‘Dance-off!’ They know about my skills,” Cpl. De Santis bragged to Access Hollywood Live. “I honestly don’t think he’ll be able to keep up with my group of people. I really don’t think he’ll be able to keep up with us.”

Kelsey added her dancing skills include “multiple signature moves,” such as “The Dougie.”

Although Justin has recently reunited with his former long-time girlfriend Jessica Biel, De Santis admitted she wouldn’t be opposed to a smooch from JT, but insists she won’t pressure the star.

“I’m single! I don’t know if a kiss will happen. I guess that’s all up to JT and what his plans are,” the Coporal gushed, adding: “I would never force anything upon him or anything like that!”

Back in July, Corporal Kelsey de Santis posted a video on YouTube.com and asked the “Cry Me a River” singer to be her date – and Timberlake accepted. Justin’s ‘Friends With Benefits’ co-star Mila Kunis is also attending the 2011 Marine Corps Ball as the date of Sergeant Scott Moore.

Jessica Biel might not be opening up about her relationship with Justin Timberlake, but Justin Timberlake sure as hell is.

Okay, so the Biel-Timberlake relationship is officially the worst-kept secret in Slebland. The two have been spied hanging around one another repeatedly, and met up for cozy summer bike rides back in August – but now the news is official. Those “hot mom” comments about Olivia Wilde weren’t fooling anybody.

Speaking to the UK’s Sunday Express, Blabbermouth Timberlake confirmed he is back in a relationship with Biel after months of are-they-aren’t-they-okay-guys-seriously-they-obviously-are speculation about a reunion.

When the newspaper asked him about Biel, the pop star, actor and er, MySpace co-owner confirmed the romance is back on, replying with a refreshingly direct:

“Yes, Jessica is still the most significant person in my life.”

Which is nice, especially as it’s been a somewhat rocky year for Timberlake and Biel. Back in March, the couple made a joint announcement to People, confirming their split:

“Addressing the media speculation regarding Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake’s relationship, we are confirming that they mutually have decided to part ways.”

While Jessica Biel may seem to have it all- hot boyfriend, successful career- the 29-year-old actress recently dished to Elle Magazine about the role that got away.

It’s a recent entrant into happy/sad love movie history and a chick flick favorite, and the film adaptation of the Nicholas Sparks film The Notebook starred Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams (who also starred in sad love/time travel flick The Time Traveler’s Wife.) The film made waves and became an instant classic, and Biel laments that although she tried out, she was unable to snag the role that made McAdams a rom-com mainstay.

Biel doesn’t gloss over her disappointment on losing the role to McAdams, and recounts a hectic audition with a little bit of regret:

“[The Notebook] was the one that I wanted so badly. I was in the middle of shooting ‘Texas Chainsaw Massacre,’ and I auditioned with Ryan Gosling in my trailer — covered in blood. [Director] Nick Cassavetes put me through the wringer in an interesting, excitingly creative way. But there’s a million that get away. We’re gluttons for punishment. It’s just rejection.”

Biel also spoke of plans to have kids- in the relatively distant future. The actress says that she’d like to be a mom someday, but she used to tease her own mother about whether or not she’d have them:

“To piss off my mom, I used to say, ‘I’m never having kids, and I’m going to be a fabulously rich old maid living in a house with cute butlers and dogs.’”

As to with whom, however, Biel was mum when asked specifically about Justin Timberlake, adding that a girl “doesn’t kiss and tell.”

Justin Timerblake returned to the set of “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” last night, which, of course, meant the return of “The History of Rap.” Fallon and Timberlake, with a little help from The Roots, performed “The History of Rap 3,” which included songs from Run DMC, LL Cool J, and Kanye West.

Fallon started to introduce Justin Timberlake, who was appearing on the show to promote his new movie, “In Time,” but before he could finish the introduction, the talk show host said “screw it,” picked up a mic, and joined Timerblake at center stage.

Olivia Wilde (27) is three years younger than Justin Timberlake (30), but still plays his mother in new thriller In Time.

It’s an interesting factoid that probably says something about Hollywood’s attitude to women over 30, but the former ‘N Sync star doesn’t seem too bothered. Indeed, in his recent interview with The Insider, Timberlake recalled telling Wilde, “You’re officially the hottest movie mom of all time.” The charmer.

In Time marks a fresh direction for the singer-cum-actor in that it’s an action film.

That means there shall be much kicking of asses and firing of guns and other manly behavior. To be honest, the plot sounds a bit rubbish – it’s a futuristic world where the rich get to stay young and the poor have to beg and scrimp to stay looking young and my god it sounds even worse now I’ve written it down.

Still, it seemed to make a dent in Old Man Timberlake’s brain, who says it forced him to rethink his approach to life:

“[...] Especially doing this movie too, it’s like it really made it apparently clear to me — it’s like you should appreciate things more. Stop running so much and take some time.”

Pretty deep, man. In Time opens in US theaters on October 28th.

Justin Timberlake- dancer, actor and “Dick in a Box” crooner- has given New York City area fans an exciting surprise… and they didn’t even have to open the box first.

Timberlake appeared and performed at the NYC restaurant Southern Hospitality, a joint at which he is part owner. The triple threat performer was introducing the group FreeSol, and Southern-boy Timberlake had this to say to Rolling Stone about their sound:

“I would describe their sound as a fusion of rock, hip-hop, rhythm and blues, and soul. It’s Memphis,” Timberlake, a Tennessee native, told Rolling Stone. “When I made super pop music, some urban people said ‘I don’t listen to that shit, but if I did I’d like these songs.’ Now it’s okay to like everything.”

Timberlake is referring to those long-ago, hazy days way back in the mid-90′s, of course, when he sang and shot to international stardom with boy band N*Sync. According to RS, FreeSol cites a vast swath of influences, one of which includes deceased soul legend Issac Hayes. In fact, their drummer says, Hayes had high praise for the act when he saw them:

“Every time he saw us, he’d say ‘You guys are some bad motherf***ers’ ” Teddy recalls.

Timberlake took to Twitter to promote the free gig, shouting out to his staggering 5.8 million followers:

Aside from the massive throng of Timberlake admirers, stars Amanda Seyfried and Kim Kardashian were among those who appeared to attend the gig.

The celebrity duo – who announced their split after nearly four years together in early March – have been spotted hanging out together in Martha’s Vineyard, the Hamptons and Toronto.

According to a source, Biel, who Justin has called “the single handedly most significant person” in his life, told friends she was going on a “vacation” with “her boyfriend,” reported the NY Post.

Not too long afterwards, the pair was spotted spotted cycling together and eating brunch at Toronto’s Swan restaurant where an eyewitness says they enjoyed their food, “but seemed to enjoy each other much more!”

The recent rendezvous isn’t the first time Timberlake and Biel have spent post-split time together in Canada. On July 3 they shared a meal at Toronto’s Black Hoof restaurant and afterwards a mutual friend confirmed to US Weekly magazine that the two were “seeing each other again”, but were attempting to “[take] things slowly” in order to avoid any further heartbreak.

The source added:

“They have been talking the whole time [since their break-up] and decided to give it another shot. Jessica really wanted to get back together with him and Justin realized single life is not what it’s cracked up to be.”

“We’d read the script and I would say, ‘Here’s something my mom might do’, or, ‘Here’s the way my mom might say it’. I think she really looked to me to give her those little things because she had the trickier job in our scenes.”

For the time lapse drama, director Andrew Niccol said it was a challenge to select actors and actresses who could believably play an older character while appearing to be in their mid-twenties. Niccol elaborates:

“I went on a search for these old souls… Even for a small role like a priest, where you typically cast a worn-out 75-year-old character actor, I now had to find a worn-out 75-year-old character actor in a 25-year-old body.”

Of Wilde, he says:

“She just inhabited the role… Olivia has something about her — a maturity that’s way beyond her years.”

For others in the cast, Niccol chose Amanda Seyfried as Timberlake’s love interest. Cillian Murphy, of Inception and 28 Days Later was also cast, as was Vincent Galecki.

Russian-born actress Mila Kunis admitted on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show that she used a butt double for the more graphic scenes in her new flick, Friends with Benefits.

With that being said, Kunis didn’t want just anyone’s butt to stand in for her own, so she, along with director Will Gluck, the film’s casting director, and the makeup artist, held a casting call for Kunis’ butt double — and watched a parade of women moon them so that they could make the best decision!

“These young ladies came in and they were in a casting room and I was there with the director and the casting director… and these lovely women had to show us their derrieres and we chose the one that most resembled my body the most,” explained the 27-year-old Black Swan star.

“Besides,” she went on, “I showed side-boob, and I figured I can’t just give away everything all at once. I have to let out little pieces here and there.”

While Kunis opted to keep her buns private, her costar Justin Timberlake did not. Though Timberlake joked that he’s tried to “get into the editing room to cut down on my ass time,” he seemed at peace with the world gazing at his bare bum.

“I only did it because I’m young now, and everything’s where it’s supposed to be,” the 30-year-old singer/actor told Vanity Fair. “I figured this is the time, before gravity gets the best of me.”

Kunis and her substitute derriere went on display in theaters across the country on July 22nd.

Actress Betty White won’t be the newest celebrity to attend the Marine’s Ball, the Hot In Cleveland star sent out a statement on Monday night with her best wishes to the Marine Corp.

“I am deeply flattered and truly appreciate the invitation, as everyone knows I love a man in uniform… but unfortunately I cannot accept, as I will be taping an episode of ‘Hot In Cleveland,” while signing her statement “Love, Betty White.”

White’s invitation to the Marine’s Ball comes after Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake both accepted invitations to attend as the dates for two Marine’s.

It looks like Sgt. Ray Lewis will need to find a new date to the ball, he said in his YouTube video that if she accepted he would promise her a good time. Speaking about Betty Sgt. Ray said:

“She’s funny, she’s sweet, she’s mature. She’s the all-around perfect woman,” while adding, “I really think we’d have a good time. I’m fun, you know. … I think I can make her laugh. I think she can make me laugh. I think we can laugh together.”
Adding, “So, call me!”

In the meantime Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake will both be attending separate Marine Balls to which Kunis responded:

“Marines have a lot of balls”

With Timberlake adding:

The lucky Marine whose request to Mila Kunis to accompany him to a military formal won’t be the only one there with a big name Hollywood date.

It all started when a video made by Sgt. Scott Moore went viral, asking Kunis to accompany him to the November ball. Kunis accepted, then found out she might be prevented from going due to work commitments, but vowed to try to make it happen. Before Kunis accepted, however, Friends With Benefits costar Justin Timberlake learned of the video and pressured Kunis in an interview:

“Have you seen this? Have you heard about this? You need to do it for your country,” Justin asked her during the interview.

Apparently, to Timberlake, what’s good for the goose is good for the gander- the singer turned actor didn’t hesitate when a female Marine posed the very same question to him after hearing of Sgt. Moore’s success in nabbing a date with Kunis:

“I’ll tell you what: I accept,” he told reporters of Kelsey De Santis‘s request that he accompany her to the Washington, D.C. ball. “But not because she shouted out one of my songs, which I do love,” he joked (De Santis referenced his hit “Cry Me A River” in her video invite). “And not because she had all those beefcake military guys behind her to intimidate me.”

A little earlier today I shared with you the news that MySpace had finally been put out of its misery … errr … purchased for the quaint sum of $35 million and that the new owner was an ad company called Specific Media.

Well what we didn’t know at the time is that Specific Media isn’t the only owner. It turns out that Justin Timberlake ponied up some cash to have a stake in MySpace as well. While we don’t know yet exactly how much Timberlake had to cough up the very fact that the person who played the president of Facebook, and the founder of Napster, is now a part owner of Facebook’s once competition.

A press release confirmed that Timberlake will be playing a “major role” in the strategy and creative direction of MySpace, but does not give an exact figure on just how much the celeb has in stake.

“There’s a need for a place where fans can go to interact with their favorite entertainers, listen to music, watch videos, share and discover cool stuff and just connect. Myspace has the potential to be that place,” says Timberlake. “Art is inspired by people and vice versa, so there’s a natural social component to entertainment. I’m excited to help revitalize Myspace by using its social media platform to bring artists and fans together in one community.”

It’s a bizarre event of fiction versus reality, considering the pop star recently played the role of Facebook president and infamous Napster founder, Sean Parker.

When Janet Jackson had that ‘unfortunate’ wardrobe malfunction during the half-time show of Super Bowl XXXVIII back in 2004, it was kind of a big deal. While Justin Timberlake didn’t expose any breasts during last night’s MTV Movie awards, he did fondle Mila Kunis.

When the two took to the stage to present the award for best male performance, Timberlake, out of nowhere, reached up and grabbed Mila Kunis’ breasts. If that’s not surprising enough on its own, Mila Kunis responded by smiling as she cupped her hand around Timberlake’s crotch.

After the ‘incident’, the two reassured the undoubtedly shocked audience that their relationship was ‘strictly platonic’. I think the obvious statement would be to say that this was Justin Timberlake’s idea of making a joke out of the whole wardrobe malfunction situation, but what do you think? At one time or another each person has had someone come into their life that makes a lasting impact. To music icon Justin Timberlake that person is Jessica Biel.

Even though the couple, who began dating in 2007, formally announced their split earlier this March, Biel obviously still holds a place near and dear in JT’s heart.

In a recent interview with Vanity Fair Magazine, Justin was asked to talk about Jessica. He had the following to say:

“I would rather not talk about her, because it’s hurtful for me. I don’t want to say much more, because I have to protect things that are dear to me — for instance, her. She is the single handedly most significant person in my life. In my 30 years, she is the most special person, OK? So I protect it and until somebody shows me what would be more fulfilling at this point, that’s what I have to do.”

Despite the tough break up the two have apparently found a way to stay amicable. At a recent party thrown by a mutual friend, they were spotted chatting it up, and even shared a kiss (on the cheek) upon their departure from the celebration.

With the multitude of ugly Hollywood break ups that occur it’s great to see a pair that still treat each other with kindness.
