The NY Daily News reports that last fall 12 girls were diagnosed with conversion disorder, a psychological condition that causes physical symptoms like jerky tics. Three more girls have complained of similar symptoms since then.

The New York Health Department said that the there was “no evidence of environmental or infection as the cause of the girls’ illness” and that “the school is served by a public water system. … and environmental exposure would affect many people.”

But Brockovich isn’t convinced.

Brockovich says that a train spilled cyanide and trichloroethene about three miles from Le Roy High School in the 1970s and that may be the cause of the girl’s mysterious symptoms.

Brockovich told ABC:

“When I read reports like this that the New York Department of Health and state agencies were well-aware of the spill and you don’t do water testing or vapor extraction tests, you don’t have an all-clear.”

Don Miller, whose daughter has been diagnosed with conversion disorder, said:

“We’re just trying to eliminate everything, and (Brockovich) wants to eliminate that it’s the environment. It’s a possibility and she wants to either prove it is or it isn’t something in the environment… We don’t really agree with (the diagnosis). Down the road, who knows. But for them to give that diagnosis, they have to rule everything else out. And they haven’t done that.”

Brockovich, a former beauty queen turned environmentalist, gained international fame when her case involving contaminated drinking water in California was turned into a movie starring Julia Roberts.

Another day, another Hollywood take on a fairy tale classic. “Grimm” and “Once Upon A Time” have already hit the small screen. And now two modern versions of “Snow White” are heading to movie theaters. Julia Roberts helms the latest rendition of Snow White in “Mirror Mirror.”

Here’s the trailer for “Mirror Mirror.”

Julia Roberts plays the evil queen in “Mirror Mirror” and she has a couple of great lines in the trailer.

Jealous of Snow White she says:

“She’s 18 years old and her skin has never seen the sun, so of course it’s good.”

And after using an extensive amount of force to get into her corset she quips:

“I knew I was the same size.”

Unfortunately, the “Mirror Mirror” trailer also shows that the movie isn’t above making stupid puns. As the dwarfs meet Snow White for the first time, they say:

“Snow White? / Snow Who? / Snow Way?”

Julia Roberts and Lily Collins bring a funny, light-hearted approach to the classic story.

“Snow White and the Huntsman” takes a slightly different approach to “Snow White.” In fact, if it wasn’t based on the same story, you probably couldn’t even compare the two.

CNN reports that “Mirror Mirror” will hit theaters first. “Mirror Mirror” will hit theaters on March 16, 2012.

Hollywood actress Julia Roberts, who stars along side Tom Hanks in the new film Larry Crowne, has taken up some hobbies so that her “brain doesn’t turn to mush” as she gracefully ages.

Roberts — the “pretty woman” who is a mommy to three children with husband Daniel Moder — has began sewing.

“I’ve started sewing classes recently. I made some big pillows for the kids and some really simple pants for Danny. I’m also taking piano lessons with my kids,” the 43-year-old star told Contactmusic in a recent interview.

“In your 40s, you’re supposed to learn new things so your brain doesn’t turn to mush. So now I’m practicing piano scales,” she added.

According to Roberts, at one time she did not “appreciate” the spare time her career provided her with, but now that she is a mother, she realizes the benefit and thus spends the majority of it with her family.

“I must have had bags of spare time before I had children but I don’t know what I did with it and I didn’t appreciate it. But it’s such a terrific trade off.”

In Julia’s new film Larry Crowne, scheduled to hit theaters today, the Ocean’s Twelve star plays a community college speech professor who falls for her student Hanks, a recently unemployed middle aged man who is having to start over again.

Lily Collins, daughter of musician Phil Collins has been chosen to star in the upcoming Julia Roberts helmed movie ‘The Brothers Grimm: Snow White’

Lily, 22, will play Snow White in the movie which will be shown in 3-D and feature Julia Roberts as the Evil Queen.

It’s a big break for Collins who also co-stars in this years movie ‘Abduction’ which she starred in alongside rumored boyfriend Taylor Lautner.

According to Snow White director Tarsem Singh, it was the actresses facial features that led her into the role as one of the world’s most well known fictional characters.

The Robert’s Snow White movie isn’t the only one going into production in 2011, Charlize Therone was tapped to star in ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’ alongside Kristen Stewart.

We could literally play six degrees of separation with Twilight and Snow White stars and get to our overall goal of Twilight in just one move or less for each movie.

Actress Julia Roberts takes her environmental concerns serious, so much that she rarely showers.

A report attributed to Star Magazine quotes a bodyguard describing Roberts as a “total hippie” who goes “days without showering.”

“She likes to save water — she’s really green.”

Not only is she energy aware, she also enjoys the feeling of not being showered.

“She likes the smell of her natural oils,” the bodyguard said. “She also says that she can’t wash her hair too often because it’s dry.”

Apparently Roberts’ husband doesn’t mind her smell though

Fortunately for Roberts, the bodyguard says she’s met a kindred spirit in husband Danny Moder.

“He doesn’t care because he’s just as much of a hippie,” said the former employee. “Those two are the farthest thing away from Hollywood glamour. They’re grunge all the way.”
