The saga of Kate Gosselin, former husband Jon and their oversized brood of eight wraps up tonight- the TLC chapter at least- and the former Mr. Kate has read his ex-wife’s recent, frantic public rants about caring for the kids- and has a bit of advice for her.

Kate has said (although she purchased a new Audi coupe) that she worries about her family’s immediate financial future since learning of the show’s cancellation last month. And indeed, her celebrity lifestyle may just begin winding down after the TLC gravy train ends- but Jon seems to think that that’s no big deal.

In an online interview, Jon says that he and his ex are capable of supporting their kids and moving on after the Kate Plus 8 series finale tonight- but a return to a normal life is key. Jon cautions and advises Kate:

“Reality TV is not a career. Get back to a normal life — a simple life. Provide for your family. Things will work out the way they should work out. Obviously there are families out there that have several kids – people work normal jobs and things work out. Everything is possible”

The now less-famous Gosselin says that his life is proof that life after reality TV is possible and even preferable:

“I don’t have a farm on 24 acres and the kids seem to have a great time at my house… I go to work every day and provide for my family. I spend time with my kids – spend time on the weekends. I spend time with the girlfriend I’ve had for over a year now. And enjoy a normal lifestyle.”

Perhaps the most interesting part of all this is that Jon has to address these issues with Kate through the medium of an interview. Will you be tuning in to Kate Plus 8‘s series finale tonight?

At least one of the Gosselin cast characters is happy with TLC’s decision to ax the reality show Kate Plus 8 from their lineup, leaving Kate jobless with eight kids.

Jon Gosselin- who wasted no time shacking up with a college student and living it up in Manhattan, leaving Kate back in the sticks with their massive herd of kids- says he’s “very relieved” his family’s long gravy train has come to an end.

Of course, there’s no measure of sour grapes after Jon’s firing from the show inherent in his glee- no, Jon’s satisfaction at Kate’s unceremonious booting is solely down to his concern for the children’s mental well-being and nothing else. (Presumably why he left them alone with a woman prone to hissyfits to go out clubbing in the city.) Gosselin gloats:

“I hope they can have more private family moments… I hope that this will bring more privacy to my children and that they can get the proper attention they need for any personal issues they might have in the future.”

Jon continued, not at all bitterly:

“Contracts have to end at some point. I think everything had run its course and it was time to come to an end anyways.”

As to Kate’s future plans, the dad of Cara, Maddie, Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah and Joel said:

“I have no clue. I hope she dedicates more time to the kids now and I wish her the best as she goes forward with whatever career she wants to pursue.”

Jon did not, however, elaborate as to how he was in any way bringing home the bacon to feed the Gosselin kids.

Last week, newly single mom of eight Kate Gosselin did a round of press discussing the new season of her show Kate Plus 8 and her kids’ desire she meet and marry a new guy following her high-profile divorce from ex Jon Gosselin.

It looks like Kate will have a bit more time on her hands to find Mr. Right- TLC has decided not to renew the once-popular reality show that first chronicled the hectic daily life of the Gosselins and their massive brood, and then shifted focus to Kate’s life as a single mom to eight children. Prior to the departure of Jon from the series, Kate was often pilloried in gossip columns for her harsh treatment of her spouse and frequent pointed criticism- goodwill toward Jon rapidly frittered away when he ran off with Kate’s plastic surgeon’s twentysomething daughter. (That coupling, not surprisingly, did not end well.)

After Jon and Kate’s crumbling marriage was no longer a part of the series, it appears America quit tuning in to monitor the family’s doings. In a statement, TLC confirmed:

TLC has decided not to renew another season of Kate Plus 8. By the end of this season Kate Plus 8 will have hit the 150 episode mark (including Jon & Kate Plus 8); an exceptional milestone. TLC hopes to check in with Kate and the family periodically with specials in the future.

Over a series of comments on Twitter, Kate commented:

As is very typical for me, I am choosing to see the positive in this situation and I am excited to consider the… many more invigorating opportunities that may come my way! I poured my entire self in2 last 6 yrs of ‘Kate+8′ …I can’t wait2have the chance 2 challenge myself again w future endeavors!… And maybe even some dating??!!

Kate said the show will air through September 12th before it goes off the air for good. Kate has not discussed her plans to support the Gosselin clan after the show ends.

No offense, Kate Gosselin, because momming is hard work- but if I were one of your eight offspring, I think I might wish there was someone else around to take the heat every so often, too.

Gosselin- one half of the former Jon and Kate plus eight brood that became slightly smaller when Jon swanned off to make bad decisions all on his lonesome- says the Gosselin kids are keen on getting a stepdaddy up in there after their parents’ acrimonious and reality-TV chronicled split.

Kate has been doing a spate of publicity, and talks about dating again in interviews. But, the mega-mom admits, a relationship with her comes with a lot of complications, including her almost-half-a-Duggar-clan sized family. She recently told Billy Bush:

“Obviously, this time, I’m looking for somebody older, wiser, patient, strong… I have humongous obstacles… I’m doing mom things so it is a true concern, like how will I ever be out there to meet somebody?”

On the challenges of finding time to lure a fella while securing a sitter for eight, Kate says to Ann Curry:

“I’ve said a lot of times that I’m ready to start dating. I think there are a lot of obstacles for me. I hope to sort of bump into somebody but in all honesty, I talk to my best friend about wouldn’t it be great if she could go around the country and collect suitable people?

“The odds of me just sort of bumping into someone are rare.”

Not only are the Gosselin kids keen on Kate finding a man, she says, they want her to do it like, yesterday. She explains:

“I don’t know where life will take me. I am hoping that the person is out there because the kids on a daily basis are begging for me to get married again. They bring it up all the time and I’m like, ‘I’m not dating anyone’.”

No word on how ex-husband Jon has fared after he was unceremoniously booted off the gravy train that bears his family name- but Kate and Jon were spotted not fighting not too recently by TMZ photogs. Kate and the eight are slated to return to their TLC reality show tonight- the first episode, not coincidentally, deals with Kate being back on the market and looking.

Although the Gosselin family has managed to stay out of trouble for the last few months, it appears that the kids may not have handled the pressures of being reality show stars and their parents’ high profile divorce all that well.

Two of the Gosselins’ eight kids have been booted from their school after having been labeled as exhibiting “rage issues,” The New York Post reports. Collin and Alexis have been kicked out of their private school after acting- well, not unlike any kids under any sort of stress might behave among other kids:

“They’ve fought with their peers, called them nasty names and made fun of other kids,” a source close to the family told the magazine. “The things they are saying are not words they should know. They are learning them somewhere — but Jon [Gosselin, their dad] doesn’t know where.

As the parent of two school-aged kids, my guess would be “other kids who are better at not getting caught.” The Post spoke to a “source close to the situation,” who gave a fairly empty comment on the reports:

TLC had no comment. A source close to the situation, though, told The Post that mom Kate Gosselin’s “number one concern is protecting her children and is keeping this personal situation as a private matter that she works out with her kids.”

The twisting tale of the Gosselin’s seems to never end and even though watching a train wreck as it is happening might seem to be consider morbid we can’t seem to get enough of it.

Today the tale takes on a new twist as The Hollywood Reporter (THR) is letting us all know that Jon Gosselin is going to be sued by TLC. The grounds for the lawsuit center around his recent bumping and grinding in public with women other than his wife as well as doing things that brought embarrassment upon TLC.

According to the complaint, Gosselin signed a new deal in 2008 for “Jon & Kate Plus 8″ that provided his services and his family’s services in taping and promoting the program exclusively. The deal promised he wouldn’t do anything inappropriate that offended “social conventions or public morals or decency” or bring TLC into “public disrepute, contempt, scandal or ridicule.” It also obligated him to maintain confidentiality of business or operational information concerning the show, and stipulated he would not endorse products or services competitive to the program.

The plaintiff cites various breaches of this contract, including photographs and stories of Gosselin intoxicated and in the company of women other than his wife, Gosselin selling his services to other media outlets including a “lucrative arrangement” to appear on “Entertainment Tonight,” and Gosselin issuing his own press releases about the show.

And here we thought that soap operas were finally going away from TV.

Bad: It’s by professional kvetch Nancy Grace. But if you can forget that for a moment, Grace really lays into Gosselin, calling him on his selfishness and college girl philandering. She basically calls him a liar, says both Jon and Kate are self-absorbed, and points out that he only wanted the kids off the show when he got booted. Watching him hem and haw at the end after Grace nails him for answering a question about the kids with a response about himself was fantastic. I suppose we can like Nancy Grace for a day.

My favorite part was Niecy Nash. That woman can say anything and be fabulous and compelling.

Dad of 8 and d-list playboy Jon Gosselin has been dumped from the title and main storyline of TLC’s Jon and Kate Plus 8.

Starting November 2nd, the show will officially change titles to Kate Plus 8. No specific reasons were given for the switch, and Jon will still appear in some episodes, but speculation points to Jon’s continual frat boy behavior. Even before the Gosselin’s impending divorce was announced, Jon was caught out by paparazzi partying with college girls, schtupping the daughter of Kate’ plastic surgeon and generally behaving caddishly. Since the split, he has been photographed publicly kissing girlfriend Hailey Glassman while Kate stays home with their eight children.

It seems America’s interest in the Gosselins has faded tremendously as well. While Jon and Kate‘s fifth season premiere grabbed a record 9.8 million viewers, only 4.2 million people tuned in for the new crop of episodes on August 3rd, and only 1.2 million people tuned in this past Monday.

Jon Gosselin’s nanny Stephanie Santoro, 23, has spilled to the press about their not so steamy affair, and she didn’t pull any punches.

Santoro admits to tapping that exactly nine times, and claims sex with the dad of eight was pretty underwhelming. Gosselin has been lambasted by press for his frat-boy habits, partying with twenty-somethings and hitting the clubs clad head to toe in college kid favorite designer Ed Hardy. But it seems his skills with the ladies haven’t progressed far beyond that era either. Santoro described the awkward seduction to InTouch, allowing us all to share in the cringing:

Jon asked if she could give him a massage, and then he was like, ‘my turn.’ While we were sitting there, he said, ‘Well, I guess we can kiss just once.’”

Santoro says that night, Gosselin told her: “Whatever you do, don’t fall in love with me, because it’s going to be impossible for me not to fall in love with you.” The two then made their way to Jon’s hot tub, where Santoro says she “kept looking at the windows” because she was afraid “one of the kids was going to pop their heads out, but he told me to relax.”

Santoro reports the lukewarm sexcapades then continued in Jon’s “over the garage” apartment, adding that Jon made sure to text her a few times to ensure she didn’t “feel used.”

Someone ring a bell, because it’s round two in the Jon + Kate get divorced saga and Jon Gosselin has gotten seriously catty.

In an interview on Good Morning America this morning, Jon trashed Kate, claiming among other things that he was “abused” and “beaten down” during his marriage.

“I despise her,” he told ABC News’ Chris Cuomo. “In 10 years, I’ve never gone out – when she said, ‘I don’t want you going out,’ I used to say, ‘OK, I’m not going to go out.’ I was very passive. This is the first time I said, ‘You know what? I want to see my friends. I’m going out,’” Jon said. “That was the first time in my life I ever stood up to Kate. I just felt like I had to take back some time in my life, and I did it. And I felt really good. I made my own decision. I was beaten down for so long, I couldn’t even make my own decision. And when I did, I was like, holy cow! You know? Yeah, what’s she gonna do? Divorce me? All right. Obviously. You know.”

Asked about magazines that portray Kate as the victim and him as a dirt bag, Jon said that he wants to “finish what we got to finish, and move on with our lives, and stop feeding into the frenzy” (some break out the violins!)

“You get frustrated and pent up. It’s so frustrating. I have no voice in the media, and now I do. And I just want to let the world know that I’m a real person with feelings. Yeah, okay, I made mistakes. Maybe it wasn’t the best the idea to go out to the clubs. But we all learn from mistakes, except mine are public.”

Jon showed up at a private cabana at the theme park at about 3:15pm and at 3:20 there were more than 30 women gathered around him. Rumors are flying this morning that TLC might be giving Jon Gosselin the heave-ho due to his douchey behavior.

Gosselin, who you may know as the reality-TV dad from Jon & Kate Plus Eight, seems to be persona non grata in many places. Designer Christian Audigier of Ed Hardy, with whom Jon was visiting when his first extramarital affair became public, sounded less keen than before when he spoke to People about his alleged business relationship with Gosselin.

“I met the guy for two days to see what he wanted to do as a job. In the beginning it was Jon and Kate, and then the guy came with another girl. He told me, ‘I’m going to come with my stylist. I need two tickets for the plane.’ So I said, ‘no problem.’ “

But sometime between then and now, TLC decided to blur all the logoed clothing Jon was wearing. Audigier now says he’s “different than he was.”

“He is not the same as he was,” says Audigier. “He has a more complicated life now. He has all of those kids and a girlfriend and ex-wife.”

If you read the tabloids, it’s common knowledge that John and Kate plus 8 super-dad, John Gosselin has been hanging in the Hamptons with Lindsay Lohan’s dad, Michael Lohan. They seem to be best buds, but they have also been working on an idea for their own reality TV show that will center around the trials and tribulations of being divorced dads.

The Gosselins have earned as much as $75,000 per episode with “Jon & Kate,” but insiders said most of the money goes toward the kids, and that Jon is hard up for cash. “He’s looking for endorsement deals to get that extra money,” one source said. Hollywood broker Mike Heller is trying to help Gosselin. Fame-mad Michael Lohan introduced Heller to Gosselin (Heller used to broker deals for Lindsay Lohan), and told us he helped brainstorm a new show, “Divorced Dads Club.” But our insider insists, “Michael will not be involved,” adding, “Jon has been approached to do various reality shows, but due to his contract with TLC, he can’t begin to think about doing anything right now.” Reps for both TLC and Gosselin declined to comment.”

So Jon Gosselin, the same dude who pays about $5,000 a month rent on a swanky New York apartment, jets around the world for expensive vacations with hot young skanks and was recently seen in NY buying a pair of $1,000 shoes… is hurting for cash?

We hope he does get some work soon, because helping to support 8 kids and keep up his current lifestyle ain’t gonna be cheap.

Sources say that Jon Gosselin got engaged to girlfriend, Hailey Glassman, on the weekend while in France.

Apparently John Gosselin and girlfriend Hailey Glassman were spied at their $2000 a night hotel suite drinking champagne, enjoying a lavish lobster dinner and celebrating their engagement. Gosselin, Glassman and several friends went out to the V.I.P. Room nightclub in St. Tropez after their dinner and Hailey was flashing around her engagement ring to patrons then kissing and hugging Jon.

Jon gave Hailey a $180,000 engagement ring that was designed by Edouard Nahum and consists of a skull surrounded by four black diamonds.

The source says that Jon and Hailey have been dating for two months and say they knew the other was ‘the one’ shortly after they met. The source also contacted people that Glassman knew in college and they say they’re not surprised she latched onto Jon so quickly. “fame-hungry, she’s with him to use his money.”

A curious ONTD poster went digging and turned up some gossip gold in finding Hailey Glassman’s Facebook account, her AIM screen name and some pics in the wild on tinypic. From the original post:

Her interests include working out, being a stylist, fashion, art, music and being an old looking whore. She’s actually 22 years old, since she was born on February 18th, 1987.

I know, right?

It also says she’s “In a Relationship” which she’s apparently been in since May 1st. This coincides with all reports of Jon secretly meeting with her at that diner and being out with her and her Mom. One friend responds to the declaration of the relationship, asking “is this one going to be on E! as well?”

All we know is that Jon is trying to give rich poor little Hailey her dream come true and land her a clothing line. She must truly be into Jon Gosselin, right? After all, it’s not like one of her facebook groups is “Not a fan of fat people” and no, Jon definitely isn’t a fat tub of lard. Other facebook group highlights include “Hi, I’m _____ and I’m sooooo f*cking addicted to Guitar Hero” and “FIGHTING TO LEGALIZE MARIJUANA!”

It really seems like Jon could try harder to find someone a little less skanky more responsible as he does have eight kids to raise, amirite? Unless this is just a fling, in which case being so public is probably a bad idea given he’s just started getting divorced. What a train wreck.

While Kate presumably sits back home in the thriving metropolis of Middle of Nowhere, Pennsylvania, Jon Gosselin is hanging out on a yacht with designer of frat boy couture Christian Audigier. Jon was snapped walking around holding hands with his twenty-two (that is a rough 22, though) year old girlfriend and smoking cigarettes in the south of France. Douchebag.

People questioned Gosselin on Memorial Day when he was caught hanging out with Glassman in Manhattan and he said (of Hailey and her mom):

“The two women with whom I’ve been photographed are family friends. Lauren’s husband, Dr. Larry Glassman, performed Kate’s tummy tuck surgery, and since the surgery we’ve become friendly with the Glassmans.”

Hey, Gosselin- here’s a tip for you. When you’re in the midst of divorce proceedings that started less than a month ago, it’s not so bright to go parading your mistress around in the press. Also, whatever anyone thinks about Kate with her reverse mullet and shrill bossiness, it is utterly not cool to treat the mother of your kids that way.

Jon & Kate Plus 8 will have a new cast member when the show returns with new episodes in August: Jon Gosselin’s Girlfriend Deanna Hummel.

According to a source quoted in the NY Daily News, “Deanna’s role isn’t expected to be big, but because she’s part of Jon’s life, she’ll be filmed.” The show will also change direction, tracking how the soon to be divorced Jon and Kate balance their time with their kids.

Another source also told the paper that Kate is “taking some time to think about her life…She’s upset about what’s going on, but she and Jon will always be there for their children, and they’ll always come first on her list of priorities. But considering she’s in the middle of a divorce, Kate is quite upbeat.”
