Jessica Simpson gets weirder and weirder as her pregnancy progresses.  That is not criticism it is a total compliment.  The more she shows she cares for her baby in the womb the more it shows how much she will care for it after it is born.

Well this time Jessica has come up with a new one.  According to Ryan Seacrest, Jessica wants NO ONE to swear around her belly.  She was told that children can hear things in the womb and she doesn’t want to the baby to hear foul language.

We will ignore that even if it can hear the chances of it knowing the nuances of the English Language are pretty slim but to each their own.

Jessica has not been known for her Einstein like lack of reasoning (she did only recently figure out that Chicken of the Sea was actually tuna fish.

Jessica has been on a bit of a weird tear since first announcing her pregnancy.  She wrote an entire treatise on the power of her Mommy to be farts.  She also let the world know how strange her pregnancy cravings were.

Simpson told AOL Music,

“I crave cantaloupe like a crazy person. But I put salt all over it, so I don’t know if it’s that healthy. I crave anything salty and sweet. That mixture to me is so good. I can eat a whole cantaloupe in one morning.”

The world seems more and more captivated by Jessica Simpson the more pregnant she gets.  Hopefully she will have a lot more news for us before the pregnancy is over.

According to the Post, the 48-year-old weight loss company will pay Simpson – currently pregnant with her first child – the seven figure sum to become its new spokesperson.

“The deal is in place, and after having her baby, she’ll start with Weight Watchers to lose her baby weight,” a source told the New York Post.

Simpson’s weight has fluctuated over the years, a fact she has acknowledged and laughed off in interviews.

She has been in the public eye since she was 19 years old, and starred in the television show Newlyweds with then-husband Nick Lachey.

Early in her career, she was exercising constantly in order to fit into her Daisy Duke shorts for the movie The Dukes of Hazzard.

Then in 2009, while performing at a country music concert, Simpson was photographed in high-waisted “mom” jeans. The media’s response to the images was swift and cruel, with headlines calling her fat and bloated (at best).
Simpson did nothing.

“All kinds of women started coming up to me and saying what an example I was setting by not constantly dieting,” she told Lucky magazine. “Everybody fluctuates, but I’m open about my weight and I’m still confident…I didn’t cry about it too much.”

Simpson plans to marry her fiance, former NFL player Eric Johnson, shortly after she gives birth.

While the economy continues to crumble and America just decided it was pretty okay to hold citizens without trial forever in internment camps, you’ve probably got a lot on your mind today.

Not the least of which is whether or not former singer and current paparazzi courter Jessica Simpson will be learning and or revealing the gender of her soon-to-be-born baby. While Simpson has gone on the record as saying she believes the child is a girl, she does not yet know for sure and feels it is essential to know to plan for the baby’s arrival properly. She gushes:

“I like to plan things out… It’ll be good to know what colors to make the nursery. I’m obsessed with thinking about what it’s going to look like.”

Us adds:

The Fashion Star mentor told Us the best part of being pregnant is “just knowing that [Eric] and I created something inside of me is so crazy to think about. We love each other so much, and knowing that I love this baby inside of me is so amazing.”

A bit too much information for your tastes? Well, Simpson says she won’t be telling all about the pregnancy and baby stuff as she finds out. Simpson says:

“I’m so excited! …We have a couple names picked out for [if it's a boy or a girl], but we’re going to keep that private.”

While Jessica believes the baby is a girl, her fiance thinks the baby is most likely a boy. Either way, what the baby won’t turn out to be is a secret- dad Eric Johnson said regardless of how the baby gender thing pans out, Jessica won’t be able to keep the news to herself.

After months of speculation about Jessica Simpson’s pregnancy (it was confirmed last month) her fans now have something new to worry about. Will Jessica Simpson have a boy or a girl?

Simpson and fiance Eric Johnson both think they know the sex of the girl, they just don’t happen to agree.

Simpson told People Magazine:

“I think it’s a girl. But I don’t know yet.”

Johnson, on the other hand, is hoping for a boy. Johnson said:

“I think it’s a boy. We’re pretty much at a standstill there.”

The couple said that they’ll soon know for sure.

Johnson added:

“I don’t think we can wait. Jessica is too honest about everything, she needs to know. I don’t think she can hold that secret to herself.”

Jessica Simpson and former NFL player Eric Johnson announced their engagement in November 2010 and recently cancelled their wedding plans after Simpson became pregnant and now sources close to the couple say the wedding will still happen…eventually.

A source close to the couple told PEOPLE on Wednesday:

“They’re really excited,” while adding, “It wasn’t something they planned per se, but it’s also not something they were trying to avoid.”

When the insider was asked about the couple’s plans to wed they said:

With wedding plans originally scheduled for this month it’s now anyone’s guest as to when the couple will be married.

Jessica Simpson on Monday took to Twitter for confirmation of what we were already almost certain of, the 31-year-old singer and fashion designer is with child.

On her official Twitter account Simpson tweeted:

“It’s true. I am going to be a mummy.”

This will be the first child for Jessica Simpson and her fiance Eric Johnson.

According to the Associated Press Simpson will not cut back her schedule at this time and is still expected to appear alongside another former Reality TV star Nicole Richie on the upcoming NBC reality show “Fashion Star.”

Congratulations to Jessica and Eric, although we could have made that congratulations known a month ago when Jessica Simpson’s baby bump first started showing and she cancelled her wedding but did not break up with Eric Johnson, leading to speculation that the baby was coming first.

The announcement means a second grandchild for Joe and Tina Simpson, Jessica’s younger sister Ashlee Simpson gave birth to a baby boy, Bronx, in November 2008 with ex-husband Pete Wentz (Fall Out Boy).

Jessica Simpson is pregnant. Rumors about the stars pregnancy have been circulating for weeks, but Simpson was waiting for a lucrative magazine deal before she made the official announcement. She got that deal last night. Simpson was reportedly paid a half million dollars to break the news to OK Magazine. 

OK Magazine, you know, could have just waited a few more months until the baby bump was undeniable, but I guess that doesn’t sell magazines.

Simpson told the magazine:

“Well, now I can eat anything I want and no one will care. It’s just sort of a rule with pregnant women.”

OK Magazine will release all the details when the magazine hits shelves next Thursday.

But what’s there to know? Life and Style Magazine reported earlier this month that Jessica Simpson was having a baby girl, that her and her fiance Eric Johnson were getting married on November 11th in Hawaii, and that Simpson is ecstatic, saying that having a girl is “like winning the lottery twice.”

Of course, those facts were taken from one of Jessica Simpson’s friends and not from the star herself, so they may not be completely accurate.

Simson was quoted previously, saying:

“We’re enjoying our commitment to each other. We want to take our time … We might elope if it gets to that point.”

So maybe OK Magazine will be able to report the exact wedding date, but is that really worth $500,000?

While some celebs have been known to tell a little white lie (one of the few that is totally acceptable because the occupancy status of your uterus is no one’s business but your own) when trying to conceal a pregnancy for personal or work related reasons, most people tend to give up the ghost when asked directly if they’re drinking for two. And this weekend, Simpson responded to “is she or isn’t she requests” with a simple pic of herself posing with fiance Eric Johnson and wearing a floaty dress. Hm.

According to the celeb gossip blog LimeLife, Simpson’s pregnancy was confirmed by an unidentified source:

A source “close to the situation” has told In Touch magazine that Simpson and her fiance Eric Johnson are expecting and that she is “already having kooky cravings! Especially nacho chips dipped in chocolate, (which satisfy her urge for salty and sweet) cheese-flavored popcorn and non-alcoholic margaritas.”

Prior to the scoop, Simpson and Johnson put their scheduled Labor Day wedding plans on hold- prompting speculation not that the singer, reality TV star and fashion mogul were expecting, but perhaps that the couple were having difficulties in their relationship. No reason was given for the postponement, and when asked, Simpson and Johnson did not offer a specific reason for the delayed nuptials. Given that the baby is said to be due in the spring, pregnancy could very well be that reason.

Jessica Simpson wants to lose some weight above the waist specifically from her breast region. Rumors began circulating on Tuesday that the former Reality TV star and fiance to former NFL player Eric Johnson is considering a breast reduction before she ties the knot.

If the rumor is correct the reality TV star turned multi-multi-millionaire will have the surgery completed before she moves forward with her November wedding.

Speaking to In Touch Weekly an insider from the Simpson camp revealed:

“She thinks if she downsizes her breasts, she will look smaller. She’s never loved having a huge chest.”

The move shouldn’t surprise fans of the singer, she has admitted in the past that she struggled with big boobs since she was young, she even thought about strapping them down at one point to make them look smaller.

She said of her large breast size:

“I was well-endowed when I was in sixth grade. There’s no way to hide them, as much as you want to bandage your boobs down. I was the first girl in my class to wear a bra. I remember crying in the bathtub. All my friends were super-skinny.”

Sisters Jessica and Ashlee Simpson are taking their talents outside the lines of the music industry and investing in tween clothes. The two are teaming up to create a new line of clothing that is specifically aimed at kids between the ages of 9 and 12 years old.

Though it may seem as if she has fallen off the map, Jessica is certainly no new comer to the world of fashion. She has been steadily and quietly building her retail clothing and shoe empire which is is expected to hit $1 billion in sales by next year.

The new tween line is going to be part of the Jessica Simpson Collection and according to her, will feature sportswear and activewear with a “girly, playful attitude.”

“Creating a tween apparel collection was a natural extension for the brand,” Jessica told WWD.

When asked about sister Ashlee’s role in the new company, Jess said:

“I’m excited to bring my sister, Ashlee, along as co-creative director of this division, because she brings a savvy rocker edge that defines today’s tweens.”

Ashlee Simpson responded:

“My goal as co-creative director will be to design clothes that will help inspire young girls to express their personalities and creativity through fashion.”

The siblings have been spotted out and about together on multiple occasions this Spring as they prepare to launch the clothing and accessories range.

The new clothing line is expected to hit the stores this fall. The extremely affordable collection will be sold at stores such as Macy’s, Dillards, and Lord & Taylor, with prices ranging between $10 to $20.

Jessica Simpson has confirmed rumors that she is now engaged to former NFL player Eric Johnson.

A publicist for Simpson confirmed the news Saturday, telling the media rather simply that “Yes, I am excited to confirm that they are engaged.”

Johnson is said to have proposed to Jessica on Thursday, November 11, some six months after they started dating. Of note, it was exactly one week since Simpson’s ex Nick Lachey announced that he’s marrying girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo.

Jessica showed off her diamond engagement ring at Oak Park Mall in Kansas City on Saturday as part of a photocall promoting her Jessica Simpson Collection fashion line.

Simpson had previously noted that “I am from the South, so I’ve definitely dreamed of being married my whole life and having children, so hopefully that’s in my future.”

A report on EOnline says Billy Corgan, frontman of 90s alternarock band Smashing Pumpkins, is dating reality show and pop music star Jessica Simpson.

Jessica Simpson has maintained her fetish for quarterbacks through a new relationship with the Washington Redskins’ Colt Brennan.

According to reports Simpson has been “flirting” with Brennan online, sending “sexy e-mails and text messages.” Brennan is also said to have sent Jessica tickets for an upcoming Redskins/ Giants game.

The matchup with Colt Brennan may not have been pure coincidence for Simpson either: it turns out that Brennan is Tony Romo’s (Jessica’s former boyfriend) nemesis and the pair are said to hate each other.

Representatives for the pair released a statement confirming the news, saying that “They have amicably split but remain good friends who still greatly care for one another.”

A source quoted in People Magazine confirmed that the split was on reasonable terms: “It was an amicable break-up. They walk away from it still friends….They still care about each other very much. This is what’s best for both of them.”

It has just been confirmed that Jessica Simpson will travel the world in search of what people consider to be beautiful as the host of a new VH1 reality show called “The Price of Beauty.”

Jessica Simpson, who came under scrutiny back in January after she had gained a few pounds then performed on stage in a pair of jeans that made her look, frumpy, for lack of a better word, understands what it’s like to go from having people think she’s perfect to chubby and unappealing. The singer says she was fascinated by the whole thing as she stood firm that women do not need to be skinny to be beautiful.

Apparently VH! thought that Simpson’s attude during the ordeal qualified her as a prime candidate to host the new reality show.

In a statement released Monday, Jessica Simpson said:

“I am really looking forward to discovering how beauty is perceived in different cultures and participating in some of the crazy things people do to feel beautiful. I know we will all learn a lot on this journey and I am so excited that VH1 is coming along on what I’m sure will be a wild ride.”

Jessica Simpson decided to own her weight issues in a performance at Sea World in San Antonio, Texas on Saturday (May 9).

Performing as part of the “Bud & BBQ” country-music series, Simpson performed in Daisy Dukes and happy flaunted her tabloid famous stomach, happy showing the crowd that she is indeed tubby proud (see pic above.)

According to reports, Simpson blogged after the event “Just overcame my fear of sharks by kissing a killer whale” which might mean what it reads, or might be code for her tubby proud moments. Either way: good on her for embracing her weight.

Jessica Simpson is having a tough time in the press lately, and now its gone to her hips….sorry head.

Simpson broke down on stage at a concert in Grand Rapids Michigan Thursday night after repeated on stage issues.

According to eyewitness reports, Simpson kept breaking down during the show, “saying she could not do it, talking about wanting to walk off stage and crying during and after songs.”

Others in the crowd suggest Simpson may have been drunk, leading to the issues and eventual final breakdown. Most said it was “uncomfortable” to watch.

Not a good sign.
