Jessica Simpson decided to own her weight issues in a performance at Sea World in San Antonio, Texas on Saturday (May 9).

Performing as part of the “Bud & BBQ” country-music series, Simpson performed in Daisy Dukes and happy flaunted her tabloid famous stomach, happy showing the crowd that she is indeed tubby proud (see pic above.)

According to reports, Simpson blogged after the event “Just overcame my fear of sharks by kissing a killer whale” which might mean what it reads, or might be code for her tubby proud moments. Either way: good on her for embracing her weight.

Jessica Simpson has responded, of sorts to the widespread coverage this week of her new, more rounded look.

At a Thursday night concert in Virginia she told the crowd “I want to thank my fans. You’re the most wonderful, loyal fans in the world.”

“Please remember, no matter what you go through in life, somebody else might have it harder. So just appreciate.”

“I feel like in our world today we focus on so many things that are completely pointless.”

One thing we will say: her choice of outfit this time around was far more flattering to her figure than her last effort.

Ashlee Simpson doesn’t like the discussion around sister Jessica Simpson’s weight gain, so she’s blogged how disgusting it is, given Obama was inaugurated last week.

“Since when did a woman’s weight become newsworthy… I am completely disgusted by the headlines concerning my sister’s weight. A week after the inauguration and with such a feeling of hope in the air for our country, I find it completely embarrassing and belittling to all women to read about a woman’s weight or figure as a headline on Fox News”

So there you have it: Jessica Simpson’s weight is off limits because Obama is President. I guess increased consumption of food is good for the economy as well.

Jessica Simpson has abandoned pop for country, and being skinny for a new look that involves a markedly increased waistline.

Shots of Simpson in concert performing songs from her latest country album Do You Know shows Simpson with a high waist pair of jeans, and a larger overall appearance.

Some sites are coming out and calling Jessica Simpson fat, while others say its simply a more natural look. Some are even suggesting she might be pregnant. The shots aren’t helped by her outfit, which deserves widespread ridicule, but is Jessica Simpson really fat, or just healthy?

Pictures have just surfaced of Jessica Simpson flashing a good deal of rear while performing for Good Morning America.

Judging from what I saw (a lot), she thought it was a good idea to wear a thong under a poofy skirt. . . or nothing. Judging from the eyeful, Carrie Underwood is giggling right now. Tony Romo, on the other hand, is probably mortified, not like he wasn’t already from something Jessica’s said/done/wore.

Meanwhile, Jennifer Ellison was awarded “Celebrity Rear of the Year 2008.” I bet there are a lot of people wishing that what happened to Jessica could’ve happened to Elliston instead, but I think Jess needed this. At least she’ll get boosted concert ticket sales for the next few months from anyone thinking that it could happen again!
