In front of a paltry crowed reported to be only 50 people, Simpson stopped mid song, complaining that she couldn’t hear the band behind her. She did manage to get going again, but as you can hear in the video above, the universal panning the performance received is well and truly justified.

I guess the positive is that she wasn’t miming…well maybe not, miming would have sounded better.
