Jessica Alba has played an invisible woman, a super-soldier, and a surfer, and now she’ll step into the role of entrepreneur. The “Good Luck Chuck” star is launching her own company, The Honest Company, which will provide eco-friendly baby products.

CNN reports that the Honest Company will be an e-commerce site (at Honest.com) that will deliver eco-friendly diapers, baby wipes, and cleaning supplies for a monthly subscription.

Alba said that she started thinking about the company three years ago when she was pregnant with her daughter Honor. Alba said:

“When I was pregnant three-and-a-half years ago with my daughter, Honor, I started researching how to have a safe home. I was shocked to learn how many dangerous chemicals were in the products I used, including many I had assumed were safe.”

Alba partnered with Brian Lee, founder of e-commerce company ShoeDazzle, and Christopher Gavigan, the former CEO of Healthy Child Healthy World, to create The Honest Company. Alba said the goal of The Honest Company is to provide high quality eco-friendly goods without driving up the price.

Alba said:

 ”Most eco-friendly companies don’t have a high volume, so they can cost 3 to 4 times as much as what we’re offering. We aren’t going to be the cheapest, but we’re certainly not the most expensive.”

The company will launch with two bundles. The family-friendly cleaning products bundle will cost $35.95 a month and the biodegradable diapers bundle will cost $79.95.

Alba said:

“When I became a mom, I finally became the person I am, that I always should have been. It’s the most satisfying job in the world. But, it can also be overwhelming and confusing. I created The Honest Company to help moms and to give all children a better, safer start.”

Alba joined stars such as Lady Gaga and Usher at the gala, which was staged at the Hollywood Palladium. The event was held to celebrate a decade of former president Bill Clinton’s charity foundation, an organisation that focuses on health security, economic empowerment, leadership development, and citizen service (thanks, Wikipedia).

Back in August, the Sin City and Little Fockers revealed she had experienced trouble losing weight after pregnancy, telling Allure magazine:

“I can’t ever get down to the weight I was before I had [first daughter] Honor. My body’s just different. The jeans just sort of zip up differently, and things hang differently. It’s a miracle what happens, but you definitely are different afterward… unless you’re Gisele.”

Alba’s work schedule has slimmed down since becoming a mother. She has only starred in one 2011 film (Spy Kids 4) and can be heard next in the animated film Escape from Planet Earth, which is scheduled for release in 2012.

Jessica Alba and husband Cash Warren welcomed a healthy baby girl into the world on Saturday.

After Haven Garner Warren was delivered Alba took to her official Facebook page where she wrote:

“She was born on Saturday, weighed 7 lbs and was 19 inches long. Healthy and happy!” while the new mommy continued, ”Big sister, Honor couldn’t be more excited about the new addition to our family.”

Alba concluded by writing:

“Thank you for all of your support during my pregnancy. It means the world to me.”

Speaking to E! Alba said she may be done having children:

“I really can’t imagine having more than this—more than what’s happening right now,” Alba said. “Kids are a lot of work and at the end of a pregnancy, it’s sort of like you can’t really imagine having more. But we’ll see.”

Alba and Warren met in 2004 on the set of X-Men and they wed on May 19, 2008. Alba gave birth to Honor three-years-ago and the couple announced Haven’s pregnancy in February.

Jessica Alba has been talking about her second pregnancy a lot lately, and the 30-year-old actress says she is not as frightened this time around as she was when expecting her daughter Honor, now 3.

Alba said first-time pregnancy was a bit scary for her, but knowing the ropes helps avoid expectant-mom anxiety. The Spy Kids star admits that she had a bit of anxiety with her first pregnancy:

“The first time around, every moment was so new and terrifying and now I know what to expect. It’s like ‘It’s fine, I’ve been there before.’ With Honor, I was constantly asking myself, ‘Is she moving? Is her heart beating?’ I’d worry about everything, and with this baby I don’t have the same anxieties,” she said.

Alba also said that being a mom to Honor has caused her to re-prioritize her career:

“After I had Honor I didn’t leave the house for a while. It was all about changing diapers and feedings and still trying to get back in to the routine of my [acting] thing. I love what I do. But unless it’s worth it, I’m not going to spend time away from my daughter. Before I had her, work was all I had. Now it’s not.”

However, the issue of “what to wear” isn’t the only thing that Alba seems to have a firm grasp of – in a recent interview with US Weekly, Alba revealed that her current pregnancy has been much easier than the previous one.

“It’s just simply not as daunting of a process. Before everything was happening for the first time and it’s like, ‘What’s going on?’ and ‘What does this mean?’” she said. “I would look everything up online, I had all my books; I diagnosed myself with everything that can go wrong. Of course nothing went wrong, thank God! I guess I’m sort of more at ease with it all.”

The 30-year-old actress, who is expecting her second child later this year, will be also lighting up the big screen in the family-friendly flick Spy Kids 4, slated to hit theaters August 19th.

Jessica, who plays mom to the “Spy Kids” in the upcoming Robert Rodriguez film, admitted that being a mother actually helped out with her role in the movie.

“I took lot from personal experience, I think it was all personal experience,” she said. “It was a much nicer, cleaner, prettier version, being in a Robert Rodriguez movie, he polishes everything up and makes it look really cool and slick and awesome and in real life it’s just simply not that pretty.”

Jessica Alba has been forced to publicly apologize after it was disclosed that she vandalized billboards in Oklahoma City.

Alba plastered sticky posters over walls and a United Way billboard as part of an effort to raise awareness for the save the Great White Shark campaign.

“I got involved in something I should have had no part of” Alba said in her apology. “I realize that I should have used better judgment and I regret not thinking things through before I made spontaneous and ill-advised decision to let myself get involved with the people behind this campaign. I sincerely apologize to the citizens of Oklahoma City and to the United Way for my involvement in this incident.”

The apology may make little difference to Oklahoma Police, who are currently considering charging Alba on multiple vandalism-related charges.

Before I get to the video, I want to clear some things up that have been bothering me lately. I find it depressing that in the midst of perhaps the most salient time in our country’s history, individuals are taking it upon themselves to encourage negativity and stupidity. Last week, Mr. Bill O’Reilly and some really classy sites (i.e.TMZ) insinuated I was dumb by claiming Sweden was a neutral country. I appreciate the fact that he is a news anchor and that gossip sites are inundated with intelligent reporting, but seriously people…it’s so sad to me that you think the only neutral country during WWII was Switzerland. Jessica Alba was pictured in this abomination of an outfit at My Bloody Valentine 3D a horror thriller at the Mann’s Chinese Six Theater in Hollywood.

Pajamas or pant suit, the only thing we know for sure is that they are polka dot and they are apparently a Dolce & Gabanna creation.

We bet this was the last outfit in her wardrobe that the gorgeous Honor Marie didn’t spit up on. That better be your excuse Jessica Alba cause that is one ugly outfit.

The movie her and husband Cash were out to support, is a remake of the 1981 Canadian slasher film of the same name. It opens on January 16.

If Jessica Alba’s Campari calendar shots had caused some alarm (six months after having a kid and looking this good?!), we’ve now got proof that she’s not that perfect. While it’s completely normal to be touched up, it’s nice to see what was done on Miss Gorgeous Gams: the Photoshoppers performed some serious tweaks in the arm-lengthening department, prevented her crotch from devouring every inch of her shorts, and gave her an awesome background/color upgrade. 

Her toned legs looked better in the before shots, though.

Conducted by Cookie, the lifestyle magazine for moms, and AOL Health, the Sex and the American Dad survey polled a nationwide group of more than 60,000 fathers with at least one child.

“Rather than focusing on the fact that a third of men cheat, I think we need to take an honest look at some of the nuances of this study – the 2/3 of the men polled who say they usually initiate sex and the 42% who say their wives reject their advances more than once a week – as indicators of the state of sex in America. While there is no excuse for infidelity, sexual health is a two-way street,” says Pilar Guzman, editor-in-chief of Cookie.

Here are some more key findings of the poll:

• More than half (54 percent) said they have thought about cheating. However, 69 percent said that even if their wife didn’t find out, the infidelity wouldn’t be worth it; 76 percent of dads responded that they have not considered seeking the services of a professional for sex.

• Seventy percent of men said they imagine sex with other women. Jessica Alba, Angelina Jolie and Beyonce are the leading ladies of many dads’ sexual fantasies.

• Almost all of the men surveyed (79 percent) say they want more action in the bedroom. Seventeen percent of dads revealed that they made love once a week and 34 percent said they do it more often than that; but 25 percent say they have sex fewer than 12 times a year.

• Sixty-two percent of the dads surveyed said they are usually the ones to initiate sex, and 40 percent said their wives reject their advances more than once a week.

Eva Longoria shot out at pregnancy rumors recently in OK!, saying “I’m not pregnant. I’m just fat. I gained 5lb over the summer so instead of a size zero, I’m a size one.”

Wow. Bringing numbers into that one doesn’t prove much of a point, considering a good deal of women will be cringing when they see sizes “0″ and “1″ anywhere near the word “fat.”

I love it when celebs get hitched on the sly! It looks like while we were all futzing over the Ashlee and Pete nuptials, Cash Warren and Jessica Alba took advantage of the hullabaloo and got married on Monday. I have so much respect for them now: they hit up the courthouse and did it no-nonsense style.

I suppose now that Jessica is super pregnant, she doesn’t care much about the dress anyway. That makes me a little bit sad, but she’s had a life of dressing up and perhaps even enjoys stepping out of the limelight. And who knows? Maybe she is that no-nonsense girl that she always makes herself out to be. . . and the one we always scoff at for reminding us about it!
