Rita Hayworth, Jayne Mansfield, Elizabeth Taylor… who’s the fairest of them all?

Ask twenty people this question, and you’d probably get twenty different answers. But ask thousands and cull their results, and the winner is clear- to MensHealth.com readers at least. The site’s “100 Hottest Women of All Time” list is up, and the winner may surprise you. What also may surprise you are the women who came in from numbers two through five- Raquel Welch as runner-up, trailed by Marilyn Monroe at number three, Britney Spears at four and in a distant fifth place, Madonna. Angelina Jolie? She ranked at 10th, after Ursula Andress at six, classic pin-up Bettie Page at 7, Pamela Anderson at 8 and Jane Fonda in 9th place.

Among all those celebs, modern and classic, Jennifer Aniston may seem like an odd choice to supplant legends like Marilyn Monroe and Bettie Page. But MensHealth.com explains that Aniston’s all-around appeal helped catapult her to the tippity-top of the hotties list:

“Funny is sexy, and Jennifer Aniston is funny. Her down-to-earth persona makes her seem attainable… And her all-too-human love life off screen inspires sympathy that not even a string of bland romantic comedies can diminish. Other sex symbols drift toward one-dimensionality, becoming flat icons in the process, but throughout her career Aniston has remained sexy, funny, and unmistakably real.”

And perhaps modesty? When quizzed by the site about her picks for hottest women of all time, Aniston didn’t vote for herself. She also cited multiple-category dominance, picking a thinking woman’s hero:

“It’s a tie between Bridgitte Bardot and Gloria Steinem… But if I had to choose one, I’d say Gloria because, well, she’s the full package. That’s sexy.”

RadarOnline is reporting that Jane Lynch, who hilariously portrays ”cheerios” coach and gym teacher Sue Sylvester on the hit musical dramedy Glee, is planning to wed long time girlfriend Dr. Lara Embry.

Lynch isn’t the only mover and shaker in the partnership- Dr. Embry was involved with a landmark same-sex custody case in Florida last year for which she was bestowed a Justice Award by the National Center For Lesbian Rights. Lynch has been praised by critics for her role as Glee club nemesis Sue Sylvester, and she was nominated for a Golden Globe for her performance on the breakout Fox hit.

No details are currently available about the reported wedding, nor has a date been announced.

Jane Fonda’s Blog

Fonda’s blog, built within her JaneFonda.com site, will initially focus on her return to Broadway with her role in the play “33 Variations.” The site will offer pictures, videos, and Fonda’s insights into the play, her preprations, and her life.

Fonda plans to keep fans up-to-speed via Twitter as well. Her profile there, @janefonda, has been quietly active since mid-January. Fonda’s using Twhirl and seems to be interacting with other users a decent amount thus far.

Social media “evangelist” James Andrew is acting as a consultant in Fonda’s new media endeavors. “James is the one who convinced me to blog,” Fonda said in a statement. “He pointed out to me that there’s such malarkey floating around the net about me. Why not begin to tell my own story, my thoughts, and activities (past, present and future) rather than letting others–sometimes hostile others–try to put out their own spin on me.”

Here’s hoping she and MC Hammer hit it off online.

“People in the state are being supportive. Our current governor, Bill Richardson, who’s hoping to be picked as secretary of state, and whom I’ve seen down in the dirt helping people you know could never help him in return, and whom I love, had a dinner for me and said not to dismiss the idea. Said I could be a great governor.

There has been suggestions that he is not qualified to be Governor. Umm Sarah Palin? Kilmer also has some offbeat religious views as a Christian Scientist, who somewhat ironically don’t really beleive in science or medicine.

Also, there is the fact he nearly did play a maverick, he played Iceman in Top Gun. Not to mention Batman, I would say deeply qualified for the role.

Kilmer has said he plans to sit down with Arnold Schwarzenegger.

“Like I had dinner with Jane Fonda years ago and said even though I’m against war and didn’t vote for Bush, I would support anyone who becomes president because I couldn’t let any single person ruin my definition of America. She never invited me back. That’s a bitch because I really liked her.”
