Ivanka Trump can rest a little bit easier this week after her harasser Justin Massler was ordered to take his medication and was placed on probation after he was caught openly stalking Trump on the internet and was charged with aggravated harassment and criminal contempt.

Ivanka pressed charges against Massler after he tweeted her and sent email messages about her little daughter.

In sentencing Massler the judge gave him 5 years probation plus time served along with psychiatric treatment that must be continued with a regular regimen of medication.

Massler’s lawyer admitted that his client has schizophrenia and Massler was eventually deemed unfit to stand trial last May and ordered to spend one year in the psychiatric ward at New York City’s Bellevue Hospital.

Three weeks ago Massler’s doctors deemed him fit to stand trial at which point he agreed to plead guilty in a plea deal with the prosecution.

Massler’s first arrest came in March 2010 in Reno, Nevada when he started a blog where he posted his desires to be with the Apprentice star.

Taking his attacks on the businesswoman one step further Massler sent letters about Ivanka to the New York Observer which is owned by her husband Jared Kushner. At one point Massler threatened to kill himself outside of Ivanka’s boutique if she didn’t give him a signed autograph of herself.

New mom Ivanka Trump may seem to have it all- and a daddy that hands her a role on primetime TV and bankrolls her design business- but the spawn of the Donald has been served with a cease-and-desist letter after designer Derek Lam alleged her footwear company blatantly ripped-off one of his line’s designs.

Trump doesn’t design the footwear that bears her name herself- the items are licensed and sold under her name, as is common with celebrity lines. But one of her wedge designs, the “Cadie” sandal, bears a very striking resemblance to Lam’s “Ayami” model. (See above.) In the letter, Lam’s company acknowledges that inspired-by designs are not dreadfully uncommon in the industry, but notes that Trump’s version is basically an exact copy.

Derek Lam CEO Jan-Hendrik Schlottmann spoke to fashion trade mag Women’s Wear Daily, explaining that a designer for Derek Lam spotted Trump’s copy on the Bloomingdale’s website, forcing the company to speak up:

“We have seen very similar copies before but we have never seen a shoe that perfectly copied. It’s such an investment to make a shoe. … We had to protest this… I’m sure Ms. Trump doesn’t know her wedge is copy because it’s through a license.”

Marc Fisher Footwear, the company that distributed the design, denied that the shoe was copied directly:

“The Lam wedge sandals are of a popular design type that has been used by numerous manufacturers for many decades. There is nothing iconic about the appearance of the Lam sandal.”

Donald Trump- who, let’s face it, isn’t a paragon of reservation and restraint- blabbed his new granddaughter’s name before daughter Ivanka had a chance following the baby’s birth on Sunday.

Trump spilled the beans on one of his favorite morning haunts, Fox and Friends, letting slip the child’s name ahead of an official announcement from his daughter and husband Jared Kushner. Trump said Monday:

“I just left the hospital and the baby is beautiful. Ivanka’s doing great… Arabella, a very exotic name. Arabella Rose is the baby’s name — I just found that out, by the way.”

Ivanka must have been watching, because after her dad made the announcement, the younger Trump went on Twitter and twote:

“Jared and I are having so much fun playing with our daughter! Arabella Rose is beyond adorable. She’s truly a blessing.”

Arabella Rose is Trump’s third grandchild- his son and daughter-in-law became parents to daughter Kai Madison in 2007 and Donald III in 2009.

It’s a girl for The Apprentice judge and Trump daughter Ivanka Trump.

The 29-year-old announced the arrival of her daughter on Twitter today, posting an extra long tweet to inform friends and fans about the baby’s birth:

This morning @jaredkushner and I welcomed a beautiful and healthy little baby girl into the world. We feel incredibly grateful & blessed. Thank you all for your support and well wishes!

The new baby was fashionably late, as Miss Trump tweeted just a few days ago that the baby was due on July 15th:

Heading to work (on my due date!) Instinct tells me that this little girl is not planning on making her debut today. We’ll see!

The baby’s dad is 30-year-old Jared Kushner. In June, Trump spoke to Harper’s Bazaar about the couple’s impending arrival, acknowledging that the pair “have our work cut out for us to ensure that our daughter is grounded and not spoiled.”

Trump has not yet disclosed the baby’s vital stats or name.

Ivanka Trump, daughter of “The Donald” is making a guest cameo appearance on CW’s hit show Gossip Girl alongside her husband.

PopCrunch is reporting that Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner were seen on the shows set and that she will be making a “quick cameo” that will appear sometime during the third season.

Ivanka first confirmed her appearance this morning on Twitter:

“Jared and I are filming an episode of Gossip Girl this morning.”

Gossip Girl season three debuts on Sept. 13 on The CW.

The Trump Bankruptcy

Trump Entertainment filed for Chapter 11 protection this week, just four days after Donald Trump resigned as chairman of the board on Friday. Trump’s name, however, is still listed as part of the company, reports indicate.

Trump reportedly resigned because the company shot down his offer to purchase the company and take it private. His daughter, Ivanka, stepped down at the same time, Bloomberg reports.

The Trump Entertainment Resorts bankruptcy filing indicates assets of $2.1 billion and debt of $1.74 billion as of the end of 2008.

Trump Entertainment Resorts: Past Problems

The Trump Entertainment casinos went through bankruptcy previously in 2004 and once before in the 90s. The company’s properties include the Trump Taj Mahal casino Resort, the Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino, and the Trump Marina Hotel Casino. The properties are expected to function normally during the current bankruptcy process.
