In yet another brazenly defiant move, the North Korean (The Democratic People´s Republic of Korea (DPRK)) government orders the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) out of the country “at the earliest possible time” and restarts the processing of spend nuclear fuel.

From an IAEA Press Release (emphasis is mine):

“The Democratic People´s Republic of Korea (DPRK) has today informed IAEA inspectors in the Yongbyon facility that it is immediately ceasing all cooperation with the IAEA. It has requested the removal of all containment and surveillance equipment, following which, IAEA inspectors will no longer be provided access to the facility. The inspectors have also been asked to leave the DPRK at the earliest possible time. The DPRK also informed the IAEA that it has decided to reactivate all facilities and go ahead with the reprocessing of spent fuel.”

In the past 2 weeks alone:

1. North Korea has, against warnings of retaliation from many countries, launched a rocket capable of reaching the U.S. and dropping a payload 1000 miles away from Hawaii.

2. Now, they’ve booted out the IAEA and reactivated their nuclear processing facilities.

Put 1 and 2 together and what do you have? A nuclear warhead capable of reaching U.S. soil. A warhead in the hands of one of the most volatile, unpredictable and militarized communist countries on the planet.

God help us all if something is not done about this. The sooner the better.
