Last month, Alyson Hannigan denied pregnancy rumors but the “How I Met Your Mother” star can’t hide her baby bump any longer. According to a source close to the star, Hannigan is expecting her second child.

A source told US Weekly:

“Alyson is thrilled to be pregnant. She’s been wearing baggy clothes to cover the baby bump.”

A picture of Hannigan’s baby bump surfaced last month but the “How I Met Your Mother” star said that she wasn’t pregnant, she had just eaten too much carnival food.

“NO, I’m not pregnant! I just ate too much carnival food, that time of the month, hurt my back & couldn’t suck my gut in, & need 2 do cardio!… I do LOOK pregnant in that photo! And I’m NEVER gonna wear that shirt again!!!”

Hannigan hasn’t confirmed the rumors but her rep confirmed to US that the pregnancy rumors were true. The rep also said that Hannigan won’t have to hide her pregnancy too much for her CBS sitcom since her character Lily is also pregnant.

This will be Hannigan’s second child. The star and her husband Alexis Denisof also have a two-year-old daughter. Last year, after Hannigan had her daughter Satyana, she told US Magazine:

“[Being a mother] has changed me in every way because my life is so much greater. It filled a void I never knew was there — it’s the most amazing experience of my life. I just feel so blessed to get to be on this journey, to be a mommy. [Satyana] is just the greatest baby.”

When Katie Holmes makes her debut on “How I Met Your Mother” tonight, she’ll play the oft talked about “Slutty Pumpkin.”

According to the Vulture Blog, the “slutty pumpkin” has been around since the first season of “How I Met Your Mother” aired in 2005. Ted talks about a promiscuous Jack-O-Lantern that he met at a Halloween party but lost touched with. Ever since he’s been trying to unmask the slutty pumpkin. Tonight, he’ll finally get reconnected with his Halloween love.

Star Pulse reports that Ted Mosby (played by Josh Radnor) has been attending the same Halloween party in the same costume for the last several years in an attempt to reunite with the slutty pumpkin. Tonight, Ted finally gets to reconnect with his long lost love.

Will the “Slutty Pumpkin” finally by the love Ted has been searching for? Probably not, but it should still be a good episode.

Katie Holmes- also known as Mrs. Tom Cruise- has a nice side gig coming up.

Holmes- who has mainly stuck to film after her role as Joey on the 90′s teen hit Dawson’s Creek- will be appearing on a Halloween-themed episode of the CBS hit How I Met Your Mother. Holmes will be featured in the show’s Halloween storylines as the famed Slutty Pumpkin.

In a much earlier Halloween episode, much like the Peanuts “Great Pumpkin” storyline, lead character Ted Mosby spends a Halloween night waiting for a girl he’d met at a previous Halloween party, known only as the Slutty Pumpkin to him. In the show’s timeline, Ted met the girl- and had really liked her- at the 2001 gathering, but lost her phone number when the Kit Kat on which he’d written it was given away by Lily.

Ted’s sole bits of information about the Slutty Pumpkin are that she enjoys a root beer and Kahlua concoction called a Tootsie Roll, and that she once studied penguins. Each year, he revisits the old party dressed in his costume from 2001, a hanging chad, in hopes he will one day reconnect with the Slutty Pumpkin.

NY Mag broke the story and spoke to one of the series’ creators about Holmes’ role:

“Katie is a lovely and talented actress, which is why we’ve saved for her perhaps the most classily named character in our show’s history,” series co-creator Craig Thomas told New York Magazine’s Vulture blog, who first reported the casting news.

“[The role was] literally six seasons in the making,” Thomas said.

The episode will air at the end of next month.

Neil Patrick Harris shared his unvarnished opinions on actor Eric Braeden with his million plus Twitter followers after Braeden unkindly declined to fulfill a promise to appear on NPH-starring sitcom How I Met Your Mother.

NPH took to Twitter to bash the actor for backing out and dissing the role, so says Harris:

Eric Braeden is a D-Bag. the actor, (Robin’s dad) agreed to a cameo, then last night bailed, saying the part wasn’t ‘substantial’ enough.

Harris reports, though, that the role has thankfully been filled by an undouchey actor:

We’ve recast with Ray Wise, a fantastic actor who makes any part ‘substantial’. Super excited to welcome him to the family!

TV Guide points out that Braeden was unlikely to want to reprise the role, as he didn’t really want it last time around:

The actor’s exit from Mother is not too surprising: He told TVGuide.com in 2008 that he didn’t want to do the show in the first place.

“I was talked into it by family and agents saying it was one of the highest-ranked shows and this and that,” he said then. “And I enjoyed it enormously.”

Braeden has not commented on NPH’s “d-bag” allegations.

Kim Kardashian will be joining Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt for a How I Met Your Mother episode straight off the d-list express. The three are meeting on the HIMYM set as we speak, probably giggling about how rich they are. I wonder if Spencer is as charming as ever when he meets Kim?

Prepare yourself for a snore-fest of a show, as reported by E!‘s Exclusive team:

“I’m told Marshall carries a copy of Them Weekly with him when he’s heading to the bathroom. Kim, Heidi, Spencer and lord knows which other tabloid faves will speak to Marshall from the cover of Them in a dream sequence. They presumably pop up to mock and laugh and make Marshall feel generally silly.”

I’ve always hated dream sequences in shows, but I think I’ll hate them more now. Kim will probably end up talking about her famous butt and Heidi will be as fake as ever. I’ll guess I’ll have to watch it to find out. . . drat!

This does not feel right to be blogging about, since it’s obviously the sign that the end of the word is upon us. . . Britney Spears has been nominated for an Emmy. The list hasn’t been trimmed of the fat yet (that’s in September), but Brit does have a place on the list! It’s for her How I Met Your Mother appearances, FYI. OK! Mag spilled on the nomination:

For her double-shot guest appearance as Abby on CBS hit How I Met Your Mother, Brit-Brit is one of 41 actresses on the official ballot released by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences to its voters. Keep in mind, this is the list that is whittled down to the final nominees for the September ceremony.

Other notable names also up for Academy consideration are Sarah Silverman for her guest shot on Monk; Mary-Kate Olsen, who won over many Weeds fans during her extended run as a pot-dealing Christian on the Showtime hit; Alyssa Milano for her role as Billie on My Name is Earl; and Scrubs star Sarah Chalke, who is on the ballot for guest-starring as Brit’s boss on How I Met Your Mother.

Give me a neurotic Olsen twin any day, or even Sarah Chalke, queen of the Wedgie Commercials. Just not Britney– I feel like it would still be giving her false hope.
