The ‘Indiana Jones’ star, who is one of the wealthiest men in Hollywood, claims money is his only incentive to keep going.

He said, “I’m in it for the money. And I mean that in the nicest possible way. This is my job.

“Acting is my craft. I’ve spent my whole life working on it and I want to get paid well to do it, because otherwise I’m being irresponsible, not valuing what I do for a living.

“When I came into this business I didn’t even know the names of the movie studios, I was under a contract to a studio for $150 a week. One thing I learned is that the studios had no respect for a person who was willing to work for them for that amount.”

However Harrison, who lives with actress Calista Flockhart, admits there is an unwelcome side to his job – the fame.

He told Live, “There’s nothing good about being famous. You always think, ‘If I’m successful then I’ll have opportunities’.

“You never figure the cost of fame will be a total loss of privacy. That’s incalculable. What a burden that is for anybody. It was unanticipated and I’ve never enjoyed it.”

Harrison Ford slurred his words and was swaying during his appearance on stage at tonight’s Golden Globe Awards.

Twitter suggested that Harrison Ford may have had a stroke recently, although there’s no public confirmation of that. Notably though an appearance by Ford at the 2008 Academy Awards had viewers asking the same thing.

Alternatively he may have simply been drunk, but what was clear from his appearance was that one of the most memorable actors of the 20th century wasn’t on top of his game.

The ‘Indiana Jones’ actor, who earlier this week branded a move made seven years ago by Mayor Daley of Chicago to bulldoze an airport “unthinkable” – has been hit back at by the mayor who said he should stop flaunting his wealth.

He said, “He’s a multi-millionaire. He can fly anyplace he wants in the country. This guy’s a multi-millionaire and you’re listening to him… he doesn’t live in Chicago. I don’t want to call him elitist, but it is. He has a jet. He has all these planes and all these toys. And he doesn’t understand this economy is tough with people and that lakefront belongs to us.”

The pair have previously clashed during a discussion over the actor’s passion for preserving 100 acres in Costa Rica, in which the mayor criticized the actor’s lavish estate in Montana.

He told the Chicago Sun Times newspaper, “I said, ‘Harrison, you’re a multi-millionaire. You have a huge estate. You have land all over the world. This is 100 acres for the people of Chicago that can be used for nature. You’re an environmentalist.’

“I think he got mad at me. I said, ‘I appreciate you’re a great actor, but you should have some feeling because you’re so wealthy… I want to help people in Costa Rica. But in Chicago, that 100 acres, that lakefront belongs – not to you. It belongs to the people of Chicago.’ That’s what he didn’t understand.”

Harrison Ford is ready for another ‘Indiana Jones’ movie.

The screen legend, who has played the titular adventuring archaeologist in the four previous films in the franchise, said he is keen to make a fifth film, and creator George Lucas is already working on ideas.

Harrison, who also starred in the original ‘Star Wars’ trilogy said, “I’d love to do it. George Lucas is working on an idea and if he can come up with something, Steven Spielberg and I have to agree to go ahead with it.

“If we find another story to do and we develop the character a little further and I get a chance to do another one, I’d be happy as pie to do it. I don’t think there’s any other franchise films that I’d want to go back to.”

The 67-year-old star particularly wants to deepen the relationship between archaeologist Indy and his son Mutt Williams, played by Shia LaBeouf in 2008’s ‘Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull’.

He said: “I’d love to see a development of the relationship between him and his son and him and his new wife. I think it’d be fun. The series is full of opportunity.”

He has also spoken about how he would like to work with actress Karen Allen, whose character Marion walked down the aisle with Indy in the last movie.

He said, “Karen’s a wonderful actress, I’ve always enjoyed working with her. I’m hoping that there’ll be a part for all of us in the next one.”

However, the actor insists he won’t play the role forever.

He joked, “I don’t think I’ll do it in a wheelchair.”

Harrison Ford has revealed he is in talks to play the whip-cracking archaeologist in a fifth film, just one year after he made his comeback in ‘Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull’.

Harrison told France’s Le Figaro newspaper: “The story for the new ‘Indiana Jones’ is in the process of taking form. Steven Spielberg, George Lucas and myself are agreed on what the fifth adventure will concern, and George is actively at work.

“If the script is good, I’ll be very happy to put the costume on again.”

He reprised the role in 1984 prequel ‘Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom’ and 1989 sequel ‘Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade before reprising the part in 2008 after a break of nearly 20 years.

Shia LaBeouf – who played Indiana’s son Mutt in the last film – previously hinted another sequel was in the works.

He said: “Steven’s just said that he’s cracked the story!”

‘Indiana Jones’ remains one of the highest-grossing film franchises of all time.

The rumors of celebrity deaths are flying thick and fast after Michael Jackson’s death today, and the latest alleged death in Harrison Ford.

A news report circulating on Twitter claims Ford died on board a yacht cruising off the coast of St. Tropez.

As far as we can tell, Harrison Ford is not dead and the report is a hoax. He was last seen on the set of Morning Glory two days ago, and is believed to still be in the greater New York area as production continues. Besides, the only death related to Harrison Ford in the last year is killing the Indiana Jones franchise.

Ford is said to have surprised Flockhart with an engagement ring while on a family vacation with adopted son Liam over the Valentine’s Day weekend, People Magazine claims.

The pair have been dating for seven years, and have not yet set a wedding date.

Ford has been married twice before and has four children from those marriages. This will be Flockhart’s first marriage.

Harrison Ford returns to the big screen in Crossing Over, a story about people trying to get into the United States.

The movie covers immigrants of different nationalities struggling to achieve legal status in Los Angeles. The film deals with the border, document fraud, the asylum and green card process, work-site enforcement, naturalization, the office of counter terrorism and the clash of cultures.

Also starring are Sean Penn, Ashley Judd and Ray Liotta. Release date hasn’t been finalized, but is expected to be next year. Crossing Over movie trailer as follows:
