Several high-profile individuals in Britain have brought cases against UK newspaper News of the World after allegations of phone hacking, and the paper’s owner is set to admit liability in the cases, according to the BBC.

News International has offered an ‘unreserved apology’ to some claimants in the cases, and has set up a compensation fund to better  handle “justifiable claims.” There are two dozen active cases related to the scandal, including “Sienna Miller, former culture secretary Tessa Jowell, football commentator Andy Gray, and the designer Kelly Hoppen.”

News International commented:

“Past behaviour at the News of the World in relation to voicemail interception is a matter of genuine regret.

“It is now apparent that our previous inquiries failed to uncover important evidence and we acknowledge our actions were not sufficiently robust.”

The BBC says the company hopes to limit liability to less than £100,000 per claimant in the cases, and hopes to pay out less than £20 million total.

Lastly, Eva supposedly took a cross-country trip and made a sexy stop in many states, eventually racking up experience in all 50. Eva’s comments:

“I supposedly told a reporter I had taken a crazy road trip when I was younger and had sex in all 50 states,” explains Mendes. “The story went on to say what my favorite states to have sex in were [note: Arizona and Colorado -- you're welcome]. I found it so upsetting. Because I have a certain image out there. And I’m responsible for that image. And I stand by it. No apologies.”

Kate Moss + Beth Ditto is such a bad combination; whoever orchestrated that should be to blame for the mess that was the UK’s House of Blue Eyes event. Kate quickly went from trying to smoke indoors with the rowdy Gossip vocalist to grabbing a riding crop, spanking Beth with it, and then strutting down the runway.

The low (high?) point in the evening was when Kate started shouting about going to the toilet and ran behind a bush in the venue’s garden instead. Lovely. You don’t need to be famous to make a fool of yourself, but it’s a lot more fun for all of us!
