Emmitt Thunderpaws is a special dog, not only did he miss his human dad, when the soldier returned from nine months overseas he smelled him from inside the house and could barely contain his excitement, greeting him in the backyard with all the excitement the huge dog could muster.

The unidentified family posted the following message on YouTube:

“After a long 9 months apart, our dog, Emmitt Thunderpaws, is REALLY HAPPY to see his favorite person again! He smelled him in the house and then ran outside to greet him. Dogs are awesome ”

The internet is reacting to the sudden death of infomercial superstar Billy Mays, the inspiration for many popular memes and gaining an unlikely fanbase following the Discovery Channel’s Pitchmen.

Although it’s early and information hasn’t been released regarding Billy Mays’ cause of death, there is some speculation that Mays may have suffered a subdural hematoma (the injury that killed Natasha Richardson) after being hit on the head with luggage during a hard landing in Tampa yesterday. Mays joked that he was okay because he had a “hard head.” Less than 24 hours later, Billy Mays was dead.

One of the most endearing qualities a person can have is the ability to laugh at themselves, and the video below shows Mays spoofing his late-night TV pitches at a McDonald’s drive through, to the delight of all the employees.
