This morning I got a rather fun email from Andrew Riker at Wordstream letting me know that they had just published a brand new infographic detailing the failures and missteps committed by Facebook. The “best dad of the year” award goes to Billy Joe Madden, a father who got drunk and then handed the keys to his 8-year-old son during a family trip form Mississippi to Texas. According to report dad passed out, his son began driving and police arrested the drunk parent after receiving an early morning call from a motorist who saw the truck driving erratically by what appeared to be a child driver.

Police pulled over the 8-year-old driver on the Louisiana interstate around 6:30am and they discovered not only his father as a passenger but a 4-year-old sister who was located in the back seat.

Dad was arrested and charged with child desertion, parent allowing a minor to drive, no child restraint, no seatbelt, and carrying an open container in a vehicle.

According to WWLTV both of the children were immediately placed in child protective services care.

In my personal opinion the dad in this incident should be charged with a DUI, after all an 8-year-old swerving all over the road is just as dangerous as driving while drunk.

Special note for drunk parents: Unless your kids are driving a little plastic car like the little girl pictured above, don’t hand your kids the car keys to drive your drunk sorry excuse for a parent self home.

There are a lot of things one could think of doing with a huge beard like YouTuber beardpick is sporting. Hell they even have yearly competitions for the most creative restructuring of facial hair into ridiculous shapes but somehow I don’t think that turning one into a wooden porcupine would be on the ticket.

However, that doesn’t stop beardpick from trying to break his own record of stuffing his beard with 2,000 toothpicks. Unfortunately though he doesn’t make it to his goal of 3,000 but instead has to be satisfied with just a measly 2,747 toothpicks.

Three Jewish Mexican passengers caused a security scare on March 13 after their Jewish prayer ritual was confused by flight attendants as a possible Muslim suicide chant.

The Alaska Airlines flight from Mexico City to Los Angeles was locked down before being met upon landing by fire crews, TSA, Police and FBI officials.

The men were taken off the plane and questioned by authorities before later being released after officials worked out that they were not Muslim terrorists planning on taking down the plane.

According to reports, the three men prayed aloud in Hebrew while wearing leather straps on their heads and arms, which just happens to be the orthodox Jewish practice of the wearing of tefillin.

26-year-old Caitlin Burke pulled off what Pat Sajak called “the most amazing solve” ever on the show, figuring out a 27-letter-long puzzle with only one letter (and an apostrophe) visible to determine the phrase. Burke won a trip to the Caribbean with her awesome puzzle solving skills.

Amusingly, the puzzle Burke impressed Pat Sajak and Vanna White by solving ended up being the phrase “I’ve got a good feeling about this.” Of course, appearances on Wheel of Fortune don’t always go as well as Burke’s spectacular win.

Kinect may not use a physical controller, but that doesn’t completely safeguard your television against Wii Remote-style accidents.

Take the case of Consumerist columnist Phil Villarreal. In his latest blog entry, titled “Yes, I Am The First Moron To Break His TV With Kinect,” Phil reveals how he, well, is the first moron to break his TV with Kinect. I’ll let Phil take over:

“A public service announcement: Do not under any circumstances play Kinect Sports Volleyball at 1:30 a.m. while standing under a ceiling fan with a dangling chain for a light switch. You could conceivably spike it into your year-old amazing TV, causing it to die with a rainbow LCD teardrop dripping down from the impact wound.

“Plus you’ll lose the match by forfeit.”

As the guy who once smashed a very pricey lampshade in somebody else’s house with an errant Samba di Amigo maraca, I feel your pain, Phil.

When Colleen Frable got sick of her jobless boyfriend playing his PlayStation 3 all day, she did what a few other gaming widows may have been tempted to do – she smashed the shit out of it took the PS3 to work with her.

Problem is, while Colleen was pissed, 42-year-old boyfriend Darren Suchon was pissed with italics. Upon discovering Colleen had collared his console, Suchon followed his girlfriend’s vehicle from their home, eventually forcing her car off the road and rear-ending it – while DRIVING HER 1996 GOLD PORSCHE. Wow Darren, I can’t see how that would end badly at all.

Yet amazingly, it did. While Suchon protested he was only trying to get his console back, Lehigh Township police weren’t quite as understanding and chucked him in Northampton County Prison on a $25,000 bail for simple assault, reckless endangerment, harassment, disorderly conduct, reckless driving and driving with a suspended or revoked license.

And to top things off, I’m guessing he might be single when he gets out.
