After a wardrobe mishap earlier in the week that left actress Emma Watson showing a little more skin than she intended, the Harry Potter alumnus attended the Cinema Society’s special screening of The Perks of Being a Wallflower Thursday in yet another dangerous number that left very little to the imagination. No wardrobe malfunctions this time around. Watson rocked this skimpy dress on purpose.

On Monday, Watson suffered a wardrobe malfunction at the Los Angeles premiere of Wallflower when her low-cut halter dress shifted, revealing a flesh-colored pastie. It became known as “the pastie heard round the internet” (okay, I just made that up) with media outlets jumping all over the story in the days that followed. To her credit, Watson handled the fashion faux pas with genuine aplomb, and her Thursday appearance might be seen as sort of a sexy redemption for Monday’s foul, reports NY Daily.

The 22-year-old British beauty donned a white Brood dress that showed a generous amount of skin while still leaving Watson looking quite fashionable. Photographers captured a confident-looking Watson, showing that even a slight wardrobe mishap isn’t enough to keep her down (or from showing off her figure) for more than a few days.

Ironically, Watson has expressed her paranoia regarding wardrobe malfunctions in the past.

“Yeah, I have to (work with a stylist) at this point,” she told Glamour magazine. “Just practically, these gowns are ridiculous. You’re being photographed from every angle, so not only do you have to consider how the thing looks, but whether you’re going to be able to sit in it and whether people are going to be able to see up your skirt.”

Looks like Watson fired her Monday stylist and hired a new one by Thursday. Good move, Hermione!

Emma Watson experienced a bit of a wardrobe malfunction during the red carpet Los Angeles premiere of The Perks of Being a Wallflower, according to The Huffington Post. Fortunately for Watson, her stylist had prepared for such a mishap, planting strategically-placed covers over certain parts of her body to prevent potential embarrassment.

The International Business Times reports that the gown, which was designed by Giorgio Armani, was a bit too loose for its own good. Most people won’t argue that Emma Watson looked stunning on the red carpet, so it’s rather unfortunate that this is what we’re choosing to focus on. With outfits like this, dress malfunctions are going to happen. Hence, the nipples covers.

Of course, the Los Angeles premiere of Perks of Being a Wallflower wasn’t attended by Watson and her revealing attire alone. Ezra Miller also showed up for the screening, a cardboard cut-out of star Logan Lerman in tow. According to the Los Angeles Times, the lead was busy promoting the coming-of-age drama at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Brad Brevet at Ropes of Silicon caught the film during its Canadian showing and delivered an extremely positive review on the website. Here’s an excerpt:

“Audiences that see this film are going to love it and hopefully Summit can manage to get them into the theaters without thinking they’re in store for just another teen high school tragedy. This is so much more than anything generic that you’ve seen before. Chbosky knew exactly what he was doing and never overstates his message. He keeps you locked in throughout the entire film and by the year’s end I’m sure I’ll be talking about it again.”

Although Emma Watson’s wardrobe malfunction will be hot news for a few days, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, meanwhile, is apparently shaping up to be a critical darling this holiday season. Leave it to England to even have classier young actresses flashing things. When it’s us, the starlet in question is always accidentally revealing everything her mother gave her, no panties and with a big shout out to her Brazilian waxer. Emma Watson’s “wardrobe malfunction” was understated and benign, revealing no more than a bikini would with tasteful but not matronly nude knickers.

‘Mione Emma had to walk the red carpet in torrential down-pouring, and in later pics the hem of her lovely gown appears wet and clingy, probably leading to the embarrassing snaps.
