Emily Blunt Used to Stutter

Emily Blunt used to have a stutter.

The ‘Young Victoria’ actress suffered from the speech impediment while growing up and admits she used to be reluctant to speak as a teenager.

She said in an interview with New York Times magazine, “Because I couldn’t talk very much, I watched the world go by more closely.”

Rather than let her stutter get the better of her, Emily improved her speech by listening to the different accents of the people in her acting class.

She said, “I’ve always been fascinated by accents, and the way people speak, and the intonations of it, and that was because I found it so hard to speak in my own voice.”

Emily, 26, doesn’t shy away from self-improvement. She went to “dance boot camp” for her role as a ballerina in new movie ‘The Adjustment Bureau’, in which she stars alongside Matt Damon.

She recently said, “I’m going to dance boot camp. I’ll never be at the same standard as a professional, but hopefully I’ll be able to do a little bit.

“I didn’t do ballet when I was a child. I gave it up in some sort of bratty rage, claiming it hurt my feet.”

‘The Adjustment Bureau’, which also stars Anthony Mackie, is a sci-fi thriller which sees Matt’s congressman character thrown into turmoil by the arrival into his life of Emily’s dancer character.

Sunshine Cleaning is a comedy-drama starring Amy Adams and Emily Blunt.

Sunshine Cleaning follows an average family that finds the path to its dreams in an unlikely setting. A single mom and her slacker sister find an unexpected way to turn their lives around – once the high school cheerleading captain who dated the quarterback, Rose Lorkowski (Amy Adams) now finds herself a thirty something single mother working as a maid. Her sister Norah (Emily Blunt) is still living at home with their dad Joe (Alan Arkin), a salesman with a lifelong history of ill-fated get rich quick schemes. Desperate to get her son into a better school, Rose persuades Norah to go into the crime scene clean-up business with her to make some quick cash. In no time, the girls are up to their elbows in murders, suicides and other…specialized situations. As they climb the ranks in a very dirty job, the sisters find a true respect for one another and the closeness they have always craved finally blossoms. By building their own improbable business, Rose and Norah open the door to the joys and challenges of being there for one another—no matter what—while creating a brighter future for the entire Lorkowski family.

Emily Blunt Dating That Guy From The Office, John Krasinski

The celebrity gossip sites are all a twitter with news that Emily Blunt is dating that guy from The Office, John Krasinski, who plays the character Jim.

A source revealed to Star Magazine that earlier this month the new lovebirds spent a weekend at a Santa Barbara ranch.

“They ordered room service, took long walks and spent every second together. John really cares for Emily — he totally fawns over her. And she’s loving the attention. She’s a down-to-earth girl, but it’s nice to be treated so well,” said the unnamed source.

Emily Blunt who was fabulous in The Devil Wears Prada broke up with Michaee Buble back in April. Does that make John a rebound guy? We think likely, because John sure looks like Michael. Check it out
