If you’re just “dying” for a cup of coffee in the morning, you’re in luck–if you’re in South Carolina. A local funeral home there is opening a full-service Starbucks store right on the premises.

Robinson’s Funeral Home, based in Easley, South Carolina, which has been in operation for 70 years, will soon have Starbucks outlet attached to its facility that will be open to the public and to mourners. The Starbucks shop, which will be in a separate wing of the funeral home called the “Coffee Corner,” is expected to open next month.

The local CBS affiliate, WSPA Channel 7, explains:

The owner, Chris Robinson, explains how coffee has always been part of the family business, saying his great-grandfather started the funeral home inside a main street general store, where people would gather and drink coffee.

According to AP, Robinson added that “there’s nothing like food or coffee to help comfort those who’ve experienced a loss.”  The funeral home will continue to provide its own free coffee in addition to what is available on the Starbucks menu.

Starbucks has about 13,000 stores in the U.S.

Ironically, as The Inquisitr has previously reported, a recent New England Journal of Medicine study claims that that people over a 14-year period who drank coffee were less likely to die at an early age and that those who drank four to five cups of coffee per day were even less likely to die an early death. Many holistic and natural health advocates would disagree with these findings, however.
