Taran Noah Smith, best known as “Mark Taylor” on the hit TV show Home Improvement was arrested early Wednesday morning on suspicion of drug possession and driving under the influence (DUI).

The 27-year-old actor was arrested in LA Count at approximately 1:00AM when an officer spotted his 1998 silver Honda Accord parked on an angle in front of a fire hydrant, prompting the officer to investigate the situation.

Smith is said to have been smoking hash, a type of marijuana which the police officer could smell inside the car at the time of the arrest.

After the officer smelled a “strong odor” from inside the vehicle he placed Tran Noah Smith under arrest on a felony charge.

Smith’s reps have not responded to the situation at this time but parking on an angle in front of a fire hydrant at 1:00am while smoking marijuana probably wasn’t the best idea Taran has ever had.

This isn’t the first strange occurrence in the life of the young actor, when divorcing his much older wife she told him that she preferred women over men and as Taran said at the time:

“She began to bring girls home. But if they paid more attention to me than to her, she’d get jealous. Finally, we agreed to have an open marriage. But when I began seeing another girl, Heidi got so mad she broke every dish in the house.?”

His wife then tried to transfer control of their shared company Playfood to her own accounts which led to a court battle over their shared assets.

Perhaps Taran Noah Smith and Dustin Diamond (Screech on Saved by the Bell) should ban together and help straighten out each others lives, they both seem to have a shared trajectory after they left their shows as young actors with no further job in sight.

Jersey Shore reality show participant John “The Unit” Manfre appeared in court on Monday over a possession charge which claimed he was arrested in Seaside Heights, NJ last year while carrying a powerful horse tranquilizer known as Ketamine on his person.

The Jersey Shore participant pled not guilty in court and after his hearing lawyer Raymond Raya revealed of the arrest:

“There were some issues regarding my client’s constitutional rights.”

His lawyer went on to add:

“We entered the not guilty plea NOT because that’s the normal thing to do … we actually entered the not guilty plea because we believe that based on those issues, John is not guilty.”

As would be expected his lawyer believes a “favorable outcome” is in the cards for his client.

Manfre was arrested at the same house that the Jersey Shore is filmed, he is a personal trainer who is best known for producing a workout DVD with Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino.

After his arrested The Unit had Tweeted:

‘There are bumps in every road & sometimes we hit a pothole. All we can do is put on the spare and keep it moving towards our destination!

It’s hardly an admission of guilt but he also didn’t really attempt to proclaim his innocence over the situation at that time.

The Unit’s lawyer has not yet said what type of rights were violated during his arrest at the Jersey Shore home.

Stephen Glover– or Steve-O as we all know him– has pled guilty to cocaine possession and has been sentenced to two years in rehab. It all started in March when Steve-O was arrested on suspicion of vandalism and drug possession after wigging out at his neighbor over a fence. His lawyer Barry Gerald Sands stated:

Steve is doing great – he has been sober for 85 days. His probation is set for 18 months, but it may be shorter depending on his good behavior and continuation with the program he is in. He is currently living in a sober house and has straightened up.

I feel so bad for the people he’s living with in rehab. He might be working on his drug problems, but he’ll always be annoying.
