After making a splash with its IDon’t ads yesterday, the release date for the Verizon/ Motorola Droid has been decoded, and it’s apparently sitting on the front page of the DroidDoes site.

According to reports, the “countdown” clock at the bottom of the DroidDoes site decodes to a Droid release date of October 30, just in time for Thanksgiving and the Christmas sales rush.

Since the first ad went to air Sunday, buzz around the Motorola Droid has continued to spread online, with many looking for pictures as details. It’s easy to be skeptical as to whether the Droid will be an iPhone killer, but credit where due: Verizon has got the buzz factor leading up to the launch pumping.
