Former Hannah Montana co-star Mitchel Musso was arrested in Burbank, CA in October when a routine traffic stop revealed that the Disney Star was intoxicated and now he has struck a plea deal with prosecutors.

The 20-year-old actor has pled no content to one count of driving with a blood alcohol content over .08 and in exchange for that plea he will receive 36 months informal probation and will be ordered to pay a hefty fine and complete alcohol education classes.

In a statement following his plea deal Musso released the following statement:

“I appreciate the court allowing me to resolve my case in the manner it did today. In becoming an adult, I have learned first hand that stepping up and taking responsibility is the best way to move forward.”

He adds:

“I am especially thankful to my family and fans for their unwavering support and encouragement. I am glad to now put this in the past.”

In the meantime Miley Cyrus is partying it up like a rock star, licking penis cakes and partying with her friends. My how the Hannah Montana crew has matured with age.

A PeeWee hockey coach was forced to call 911 on Monday night after his players, their parents and various other spectators noticed that the games zamboni driver was weaving all over the ice and running into boards.

The zamboni was being driven by a Minnesota man with three drunk-driving convictions on his record and according to on-lookers it was taking him 25 minutes to do his job when ice resurfacing typically only takes 10 minutes.

According to the Minneapolis Star Tribune by the time police arrived on the scene the 34-year-old driver had managed to park the zamboni in the ice arenas garage and then failed a sobriety test.

In the official police report officers says the coach noticed before the game that the man’s eyes were red and that he smelled like Red Bull. The coach didn’t realize the man was drunk until a parent after the game said the driver was  ”weaving all over, slurring his words.”

The allegedly drunk zamboni driver was taken by police to the local station to have blood-alcohol testing performed at which time charges are likely to be filed against the man.

Being drunk behind any vehicle is a dangerous act, being drunk behind a multi-ton vehicle that’s driving around on ice is just plain stupid, especially when children are present.

That zamboni pictures above isn’t the one in question but wouldn’t that be ironic.

Three days ago Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) chief J. Randolph “Randy” Babbitt was arrested under suspicion of driving while intoxicated (DWI) and on Tuesday Babbitt revealed his resignation.

In a written statement Babbitt revealed:

“Today I submitted my resignation to Secretary Ray LaHood and it has been accepted.” Babbitt went on to add, “Serving as FAA Administrator has been an absolute honor and the highlight of my professional career.   But I am unwilling to let anything cast a shadow on the outstanding work done . . . by my colleagues.”

In a separate email to FAA employees Babbitt wrote:

“It truly has been the highlight of my professional career.”

Learning about Babbitt’s arrested  Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood said of the incident:

“What I told Randy is that I was very disappointed with the way that I learned about this.”

With the agency facing funding uncertainties and tasked with building a $40 billion GPS-based system expected to revolutionize air travel Babbitt’s departure less than half way through his five-year term couldn’t come at a worse time for the agency.

LaHood said after Babbitt’s resignation:

“As FAA Administrator, Randy Babbitt has been a dedicated public servant and outstanding leader,” and ”On behalf of the American people, I thank him for his service and his leadership.”

While Babbitt was said to be cooperative during his arrest, the agencies focus on safe travel overshadowed his quick apology and willingness to take full credit for his mistake.

Hannah Montana star Mitchel Musso may have portrayed a squeaky clean image as Oliver Oken on the hit series but in real life the actor has been arrested for driving drunk down the street of Burbank, California.

The 20-year-old underage drinker was pulled over at approximately 3:45 AM at an unrelated traffic accident after police told him to slow down and he failed to heed their warning.

The arresting officer says they approached the actors 2007 Mercedes-Benz and smelled the “strong odor of alcohol” on his breath.

After allegedly failing a field sobriety test and a breathalyzer Musso was arrested and booked into custody at the Burbank Police Station where he was held on $5,000 bail. Musso was released several hours after being booked.

Mitchel Musso current stars in the Disney shows Pair of Kings and PrankStars. 

Disney reps are not currently commenting on the actors DUI, then again they have always been good at image control, just look at what they did to keep Hannah Montana going after Miley’s various transgressions.

Do you think Mitchel Musso’s DUI arrest will cause some parents to pull their kids away from his TV show? If anything I believe it gives parents the perfect opportunity to speak with their kids about the dangers of alcohol abuse.

If you work for the State Police Liquor Control Enforcement agency it’s probably not a smart move to drink and drive but that’s exactly what a Pittsburgh employee did on Thursday night.

According to Channel 4 news the employee crashed her vehicle just as the Pittsburgh Steelers game was letting out around 11:45pm.

The crash happened in downtown Pittsburgh by 9th and Penn Avenues and the yet to be named city employee was taken into custody after police tested her blood alcohol level and she was found to be over the state’s legal limit.

Adding insult to injury the state liquor control officer was driving her state owned Ford Fusion when the accident occurred. The vehicle is said to have only minor damage, whereas her job status is likely ruined for good.

Do you think the state employee should lose their job given the positions sensitivity to ensuring alcohol is not abused.

Here’s the kicker: Shia LaBeouf has been named “not at fault” for his weekend car accident by authorities after a full investigation. While initial reports claimed that LaBeouf had made an illegal left-hand turn, now officials have determined that the other driver caused the crash by running a red light.

Okay. So Shia’s (kind of) in the free-and-clear, although his DUI still stands after “exhibiting obvious signs of intoxication.” It could be worse– at least passenger and co-star Isabel Lucas and the other driver weren’t seriously injured, or he’d be facing a fat felony charge instead.

Let’s just see if his injured hand heals up well enough to return to filming next month.
