A man caught having sex with a donkey claimed during a court hearing that the animal was a hooker from the club.

Moyo, 28, was arrested by the police during a routine patrol when he was spotted getting intimate with the donkey inside his yard. He did not contest the accusations though he was not asked to enter a plea.

Moyo reasoned out in front of magistrate Mildred Matuvi:

“I had hired a prostitute and paid $20 for the service at Down Town night club and I don’t know how she then became a donkey. I think I am also a donkey. I do not know what happened when I left the bar, but I am seriously in love with the donkey.”

The magistrate ordered that Moyo be examined by two government psychiatrists.

We can only wonder if the prostitute-turned-donkey will be available on the witness stand as the case progresses.

Texans Abandoning Donkey’s At Record Pace, Causing Headache For Officials

Donkey owners around the state of Texas have been abandoning their animals in record numbers as they lose the income needed to care for the animals.

According to the Houston Chronicle the animal abandonment has created a huge headache for animal rescue groups and state authorities who are trying to find new homes for the donkey’s.

According to Mark Meyers, head of Peaceful Valley Donkey Rescue:

”Donkey rescues have gone through the roof.”

Mark says those numbers are due to the high cost of feed during a drought. Peaceful Valley has taken in 500 donkey’s since March.

Another expert adds that the abandonment occurs when someone buys a donkey and doesn’t realize the high cost of ownership with a single bale of hay costing $125, more than double last year’s pricing. Donkey’s also come with long term care which can be upwards of $1000.

According to various reports donkey’s are in such high supply but low demand that owners often can’t auction them off for even enough to provide the blood test required for their sale.

Meyer’s tells the Houston Chronicle:

“You can’t sell them or give them away and you can’t feed them, so you’re stuck,” Meyers says. “They’re just releasing them on someone else’s property.”

Anyone looking to purchase a donkey is urged to contact their local donkey rescue shelter for more information, the cost is often far less than what would be spent an an auction.

Egypt jails donkey over corn theft

An Egyptian court has tried and sentence a donkey to jail time for theft of corn.

The donkey was caught by local police at a checkpoint set up at an agricultural research institute after the director complained that someone had been stealing corn.

The court found that the donkey was in possession of the corm and sentenced him to 24 hours in prison. The donkey’s owner copped a fine of $9 for allowing his donkey to go on its theft spree.

Unfortunately local media was unable to obtain a comment from the donkey on the courts decision.
