MSNBC will air a special Dr. Conrad Murray documentary on Friday @ 10 PM ET. The documentary will show how Murray’s legal defense team prepared for his involuntary manslaughter trial.

Titled Michael Jackson and the Doctor the program will also re-air on Sunday @ 9 PM ET and is being called the untold inside story of the Dr. Conrad Murray trial.

In the documentary British reporter Steve Hewlett interviews Murray and according to MSNBC:

“October Films spent two years gaining exclusive access to Dr. Conrad Murray and his defense team, led by Ed Chernoff, a Houston-based defense lawyer, and J. Michael Flanagan, a Los Angeles-based defense lawyer. In a series of very personal interviews, Murray discusses in detail Jackson’s fragile health and mental state, yet unstoppable dedication to creating a successful world tour. The documentary gained access into the closed-door meetings with Dr. Murray’s defense team both before and during the trial, giving a look into their strategy and how they pieced the case together.”

The 58-year-old cardiologist was found guilty on Monday of manslaughter in the death of Michael Jackson after a jury of his peers found him guilty of a propofol overdose.

Murray now faces up to four years in jail, a sentence that could be handed down on November 29 during the doctors sentencing.

People’s feelings about graffiti ranges from loving the work as a new form of urban artwork while others consider it a blight on neighborhoods devaluing home values. Of course some of these opinions have value as graffiti can range from the simple tagging of gangs marking their territory to incredible social commentaries.

Of the second one of the best has to be the ever illusive and unknown Banksy, who appears to originate from Britain but not totally sure. His works have been found just about everywhere around the world and have become subject of discussion and objects of art.

Then last year Banksy became involved in the making of a documentary, Exit Through the Gift Shop, about graffiti artists and amazingly enough it is now in the running for an Oscar for Best Documentary. However this has said to have caused some concern among the Oscar organizers as to whether they would be willing to let him accept the award while in disguise.

While we are still some weeks away from the Oscar ceremony some people are wondering if Banksy hasn’t already hit town as graffiti of his style has started showing up around Los Angeles.

And the biggest question of all: Is Banksy in town less than two weeks before the Oscar show? The evidence to suggest that he might be comes from, of all places, actress Lauren Conrad’s Twitter account, where she posted this photo with the caption, “Is Banksy in LA?”

Jetset Graffiti picked it up and wrote, “Yes, it’s true. Banksy is beginning his press tour for the upcoming Oscar’s [sic] in Los Angeles.”

The LAist website linked to Jetset Graffiti, and said the artwork was “likely” the work of Banksy.

The stenciled art is in an alley in the Westwood section of Los Angeles, near the UCLA campus. A couple of other possible pieces have surfaced as well – though it’s impossible to tell if they’re genuine.

There are some who are suggesting that these images aren’t by Banksy but rather part of a publicity stunt by the Oscar organizers to build up some street buzz around the normally staid movie event.

More Britney Spears documentary tidbits have been released!

No more clips (yet), but plenty of drama-filled quotes to keep us feeling bad for her and feeling guilty about being so enthusiastic about seeing Britney Spears: For the Record (airs November 30th! squeeee!):

“My trust has really been battered. … Sometimes it can get kinda lonely. … I had totally lost my way. I lost focus. I lost myself. I let certain people into my life that were just bad people, because I was lonely. I really paid the consequences for that. Big time … What the hell was I thinking?

Do I know my life is weird? It’s all I’ve ever known. I don’t see it as being weird…I’m kind of stuck in this place and I’m like, How do you deal? I just cope with it every day…It’s better not to feel anything at all and have hope than to feel the other way…It’s bad. I’m sad. [She breaks down into tears.] Normal is really different for everybody…In my situation, I try to make it as normal as possible for me…It could be a lot worse. There are people out there who have it a lot worse than I do…I used to be a cool chick but I feel like the paparazzi has taken that away from me, like, the way I used to live my life. I used to be a cool chick but I’m not anymore.

I can’t wait to see this show, but unfortunately I think the Britney-bashing will come to a grinding halt when we see her tortured side. There is one thing I don’t agree with– why blame the paparazzi for taking away things from you? Brit could move out of L.A. and jet in for business stuff, or make teeny adjustments that give her more space. It’s probably way more hopeless than that, isn’t it? Sigh.

A new website has been launched which looks at the media’s role in the election of Obama. Called howobamagotelected.com the site alleges that Obma got elected because the news media failed to do their job.  Malpractice was the term they used, and it Malpractice by the Media; How Obama Got Elected is the name of the documentary that the people behind the site are putting out.  I guess these guys are right wing Michael Moores.

The video is fascinating.  Check it out.

The site also commissioned a telephone survey which verifies the results of the video interviews. Rightly or wrongly, the American people have made their judgement on Palin and the Republicans and its all pervasive.  I guess they can blame Tine Fey and SNL.

And 86.9 % thought that Palin said that she could see Russia from her “house,” even though that was Tina Fey who said that!!

Only 2.4% got at least 11 correct.

 

Only .5% got all of them correct. (And we “gave” one answer that was technically not Palin, but actually Tina Fey)
