Mariah Carey’s Diva Demands Revealed

Mariah Carey managed to whip out her diva ways even during a huge moment in history, reports Page Six. Sources say that she was “furious” when she found out that she was not going to be seated with the Obama family during the inauguration (erm, duh?). Yes, a source claims that she just as delusional as most of us suspected:

“Mariah was in the VIP area, where every celebrity, like Jon Bon Jovi, Mary J. Blige, Alicia Keys and Bruce Springsteen, was seated. But somehow she thought she’d be up with the Obama family. When she realized she wasn’t, she bailed.”

Supposedly Mariah wasn’t the only one who was pissed about placement. Sean Combs was also rumored to be irritated when he discovered that his presence wasn’t as big of a deal as Jay-Z’s, although his rep said that “It was one of the greatest moments of his life. Sean was invited to the inauguration and was seated third row, with Jay-Z, at the ceremony.”

Beyonce’s Mom Admits to Slapping Her After Diva-Like Behavior

In an interview with Elle, Tina Knowles openly admits to “slapping her daughter for acting like a diva” while at a promotional event. Does this make anyone else extremely uncomfortable?

“My husband came up and said, ‘Tina! She’s got the No. 1 record on the radio!’ I said, ‘I don’t care!’” Tina says. “I was terrified. I had seen people take your child and turn them into something you didn’t want them to be.”

If Tina said that Beyonce was acting like a diva, nobody’s going to argue with her. But seeing her get slapped in the face? That’s something I can’t imagine. In fact, in the same interview, Beyonce admits that she has a “power struggle” with husband Jay-Z, and that “if I didn’t respect someone, and they didn’t have that strength, then I would be bored.”

What would you bet that she learned that from her mother?

Lauren Conrad Wants To Be Anonymous, It Helps That No One Cares

Lauren Conrad is such a diva, and I love that nobody even notices in New York besides the paparazzi. We are so jaded, and Page Six was happy to remind us about it in their “Get Over It” section. It turns out that when Lauren was called to desk to pick up her standby ticket in JFK, she totally freaked:

“LC pitched a fit, and was almost driven to tears because she thought people would start talking to her and bothering her. But no one even cared.”

The Hills is so over. Since Lauren’s trying to keep her boyfriend Kyle Howard off the show and stay out of the limelight, it’s just a matter of time before she escapes the drama herself and leaves it for Heidi and Spencer. Can’t say I blame her, although the attention has gone to her head!

Mike Myers is a Man-Diva… Sort Of

Was it diva behavior or just hunger pangs that made Mike Myers list his demands backstage– and not rest until they were fulfilled? Myers, getting ready to promote “The Love Guru” on Late Night with Conan O’Brien, sent a team of interns on a “wild goose chase” for raspberry seltzer, Silk creamer, and Twizzlers. In the world of celeb demands, this one barely makes a blip on the screen (IMO, Diva Demands generally need to be things not found at a local grocery store), but the New York Post claims that he “drove backstage staffers bonkers.”

I also have a feeling that running errands for Mike Myers is kind of a creme-de-la-creme activity for interns, so they shouldn’t be complaining. . . only the people who witnessed it can really gripe, since they probably had bigger things to worry about than Polar vs. Adirondack.
