Jon & Kate Plus 8 will have a new cast member when the show returns with new episodes in August: Jon Gosselin’s Girlfriend Deanna Hummel.

According to a source quoted in the NY Daily News, “Deanna’s role isn’t expected to be big, but because she’s part of Jon’s life, she’ll be filmed.” The show will also change direction, tracking how the soon to be divorced Jon and Kate balance their time with their kids.

Another source also told the paper that Kate is “taking some time to think about her life…She’s upset about what’s going on, but she and Jon will always be there for their children, and they’ll always come first on her list of priorities. But considering she’s in the middle of a divorce, Kate is quite upbeat.”

Jon Gosselin has allegedly been spotted in New York City’s Trump Towers, shopping for a bachelor apartment, further fueling the rumors that he and Kate will be announcing they are getting divorced on Monday’s episode of Jon and Kate Plus 8.

An unidentified witness told Gawker.com that says he saw Jon Gosselin get off an elevator on the 8th floor of the Trump Towers in NYC with a Real Estate agent.

I was at my friends apt at trump towers on 66th and riverside blvd… we were in her apt… then left to go to dinner… in the hallway was the realtor of the building and she was with JON from jon and kate plus 8. Jon and Kate Plus 8 saw the highest ratings of any show on their network, with an estimated 9.6 million viewers tuned in. But since then the show’s ratings have been dropping to worrisome levels. Jon and Kate will reportedly be making a major announcement on Monday’s show, which will undoubtedly bolster the shows ratings.

Jon and Kate Gosselin have split up, according to kate’s brother, Kevin Krieder and his wife Jodi in an interview they gave to radaronline.com.

Kate gosselin’s brother, Kevin Krieder, 32, says “Six months ago Kate came to Jon and said, ‘Hey, it’s over.’”

Jon Gosselin has allegedly been having an affair with a third grade school teacher, Deanna Hummell. Kate Gosselin is rumored to be cheating with her bodyguard Steve Neild. Both Jon and Kate have denied having affairs and both Steve and Deanna have denied the rumors as well.

Kevin’s wife Jodi claims everyone close to the situation have been ignoring the problems in Jon and Kate Gosselin’s marriage to keep the show’s ratings high. She says:

“The show is not reality, and has not been for a long time. This is a train wreck.

Kevin adds: “Their family is in shambles.”
