A deadbeat dad who flaunted his cash in a series of recent Facebook photos could find himself spending quite a bit of time behind bars.

Christopher Robinson has allegedly avoided paying child support since his baby was born. However, this didn’t stop him from posing with a tidy sum of cash in a handful of pictures he shared on Facebook.

Authorities arrested the 23-year-old after learning of the photos. The deadbeat dad now faces felony charges since the cash could prove he has the means to make his payments.

Milwaukee County Chief Deputy District Attorney Kent Lovern said the images on the social media site essentially helped them build a case against Robinson.

“It’s a great investigative tool for us because it gives us a glimpse into their real lives that our targets may be living,” he explained.

Lovern added, “What a photograph enables us to do, is if somebody has more money than maybe they are indicating they do, that allows us to apply to the court for a search warrant.”

The photos in question might prove that Robinson has the ability to support his three-year-old child. In addition to cash, the deadbeat dad also posed with expensive bottles of liquor.

Facebook said in a statement to ABC News that it is willing to work with law enforcement officials “to the extent required by law.”

“Facebook devotes significant resources to evaluating requests for user information, and adheres to the letter of these laws when responding to requests for information,” the company added.

In the case of Christopher Robinson, Facebook was willing to work with authorities. If the deadbeat dad is found guilty of not supporting his child, he could spend up to 11 years in prison. He also faces several other felony charges.

However, authorities will need to prove that the cash shown in the photos actually belonged to the deadbeat dad. An investigation into where Robinson acquired the money is currently ongoing.

During a Thursday court appearance at the US District Court in Central Islip on Long Island, Robert Sand pleaded guilty to owing child support in excess of $1.2 million. The amount covers two child support orders and includes penalty and interest charges.

The Associated Press writes that the child support orders pertain to three children from two marriages. According to Assistant US Attorney Alan Bode, the orders have been in arrears for approximately 10 years.

Deemed the number one deadbeat parent by the US Department of Health and Human Services, Sand successfully avoided prosecution for several years before being extradited to New York and placed into custody on Tuesday.

Sands originally fled to Florida before moving to Thailand, where he worked a series of odd jobs. He was later deported from the Philippines in 2012 after failing to provide proper documentation to officials. He eventually made his way to California where federal marshals placed him under arrest.

According to The New York Daily News, Robert Sand’s mother is relieved that her son is no longer running from the charges against him:

“I’m very glad he’s back in the [United States]. He made a terrible mistake leaving the country. He’s not a bad guy, he just got caught up in that spider web of whatever the system is.”

Are you surprised that the man known as the number one deadbeat parent in the US has finally admitted guilt?

Police finally cornered one of the nation’s most notorious criminals. Well, sort of. Robert Sand, labelled the “Most Wanted Deadbeat Dad” was finally captured by police after 20 years on the run.

Yes, the Justice Department actually labelled Sand the “Most Wanted Deadbeat Dad,” and as you can probably infer from the dubious distinction, he is wanted for a whole lot of missed child support payments, reports Newser.

Sand, who has evaded authorities for 20 years, has racked up a jaw-dropping $1 million bill in child support payments, owed to his ex-wife, Lisa. She and prosecutors must now make a difficult choice: leave him free (but with supervision) to allow him to work off his bill, or throw the book at him?

“If it was five years ago, I’d want to see him rot away in jail,” Ms. Sand said. “Now I don’t care for that. I want to see him work, and pay his debt to me and my children.”

Sand is hardly the only million-dollar deadbeat dad. In fact, The New York Times reports that he’s actually the second currently facing federal prosecution in the Big Apple, which boasts a total of 20 deadbeat dads who owe at least seven figures.

Sand has been something of a world-traveling debonair since, leaving in his wake a trail of human suffering. Oh yes, he’s done this at least twice, ignoring child support payments to two women. He fled the country when a warrant was issued for his arrest, and was actually picked up once in 2005 in Thailand for carrying a fake passport.

“The best-case scenario would be no jail time but probation,” said one federal agent. “But a condition of the probation would be making payments.”

Whatever happens to the Most Wanted Deadbeat Dad, one thing is certain: His crime spree is at an end (for now).

Tone Loc, the musician behind such late-80s hits as Wild Thing and Funky Cold Medina, is being sued by the mother of his baby for unpaid child support, according to TMZ. Here’s hoping the guy still has quite a bit of money stashed in the bank from his days as a chart-topping rapper, as he’s rumored to owe roughly $40,000.

Eilise Sharkey recently filed the court documents, stating that Anthony Terrell Smith was ordered to pay approximately $3,300 a month in child support starting last October. Sharkey claims that Tone Loc continues to schedule gigs on a regular basis. The mother of his child also states the rapper frequently makes $5,000 per show, so he shouldn’t have any trouble getting the money together.

The Christian Post reports that Tone Loc and Ellise Sharkey have had their share of differences in the past. In 2011, the musician was arrested for domestic violence and possession of a Colt AR-15 Sporter rifle, a weapon which is prohibited by California law. As a result, Loc was sentenced to one day in jail as well as three years probation, 30 days of community services, and a whopping 52 weeks of anger management.

Unless you’re a child of the 80s who spent a lot of time listening to Top 40 radio and/or rap music, chances are you’re unfamiliar with the musical stylings of Tone Loc. In 1989, the rapper dropped his debut album, Loc-ed After Dark, which contained the hits Funky Cold Medina and Wild Thing. To date, the album has sold two million copies. His last album, Cool Hand Loc, was released in 1991.

In addition to his music career, Loc and his instantly recognizable voice have been featured in numerous motion pictures and television programs. In 1994 alone, Loc starred in such Hollywood endeavors as Ace Venture: Pet Detective, Blank Check, and Car 54, Where Are You?.

Less has been said though about her father, and the gold medalist Douglas has now spoken out a little bit about her relationship with her so-called deadbeat dad, Timothy Douglas, a staff sergeant in the U.S. Air Force.

“It was really hard for us growing up — my dad had left us, so he wasn’t really in the picture anymore,” Douglas said according to the New York Post. “So my mom had to front all these bills. My dad didn’t really pay the child support. He was short (on money). It was definitely hard on her part, and she had to take care of me and the rest of my siblings.’’

Gabby Douglas revealed that even after winning two gold medals, she had not been in touch with her father, though the Daily Mail reports Timothy Douglas is in London for the games. The Daily Mail, which in its headline deemed Timothy Douglas a deadbeat dad, also reports he has not seen Gabby perform there as she did not provide him with tickets.

Timothy Douglas did however appear at the U.S. Olympic trials in June, waving an American flag and cheering his daughter on.

“I’m like, “Who’s calling my name?” And then I look up, it was my dad and his friend, and I haven’t seen him in awhile,’ ” Gabby told the Des Moines Register. ‘They were holding up the flag. And I almost fell like bawling. I was like, “Oh, my gosh, Dad!’ “

For his part, Timothy Douglas feels pride when watching Gabby Douglas compete, telling the Register, “There’s an exuberance. There’s a feeling that you can’t describe.”

Though he left Gabby’s mother, it doesn’t appear the gymnast harbors terrible feelings for her old man. When she saw him at the Olympic trials she told the Register, “Seeing him made my night, actually.”

Gabby Douglas’ Olympic run was a memorable one this year. While stories have surfaced about some negative reaction to her appearance, a poorly timed NBC commercial and her so-called deadbeat dad, it is fair to say Gabby Douglas will be remembered for capturing the public’s attention and for a striking performance as a gymnast at the London Olympics in 2012.

And you thought that a man shooting a change machine was the stupidest thing you have seen at a laundromat? Think again!

What do you get when one of the world’s worst parents sticks his kid in a dryer at the laundromat? You get a disturbing YouTube video and, if God is merciful, social services paying them a visit within hours to take away his children. I personally wouldn’t trust this joker with a length of string.

Thinking that it would be cute to see his toddler in a dryer, Mr. Professor with the beautiful mind just stuffed him in there, without thought to consequences, and ended up accidentally starting the machine, which then locked up, preventing him from removing his terrified offspring. The child can be seen in the video tumbling as he is violently thrown around inside the machine, until a store employee runs up and stopped the dryer.

The kid went through this nightmare for a full minute and a half before being rescued. I damned well hope that the store refused to let the child leave with his parents and that employes called the cops on them.

According to the description of the video of the incident on YouTube: “Couple put their baby in the machine to scare him but it turned out to be a bad idea as the machine had auto lock system and it took the child for a spin. The child suffered minor injuries and is safe.”
