David Beckham may return to professional soccer as an owner.

Beckham, 38, announced his retirement as a player on Thursday. But there are reports that he may seek an ownership interest in a Major League Soccer (MLS) team in the US. ” .. while Beckham’s contract with MLS, signed when he joined the L.A. Galaxy in 2007, included an option to purchase an ‘expansion franchise,’ it has been revealed his advisors have been in talks with the league about possible locations for a new team.”

MLS reportedly will establish its 20th franchise in Queens, New York, with Manchester City believed be the front-runner in the ownership stakes. As far as Beckham being involved in that particular team, there may be a significant obstacle. Beckham’s MLS contract apparently gives him a big discount on buying a team, but only if it is outside the New York City area. So if the Big Apple transaction is off the table, Beckham’s other two options might include buying into the Galaxy or looking at potential expansion cities such as Orlando, Atlanta, or Miami  for his ownership aspirations. Back in 2009, Beckham publicly expressed interest in becoming an owner.

Over his career, Beckham has played for Manchester United, Real Madrid, AC Milan, and MLS Galaxy, and has turned down an offer to extend for a one-year deal with his current club Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).  After winning the French title with the club, he just wants to finish his career on a high note. “I’m thankful to PSG for giving me the opportunity to continue but I feel now is the right time to finish my career, playing at the highest level,” he said of his decision to retire now.

Beckham’s decision to retire brings to an end a very successful career in professional soccer (or football as it is known in Europe and other countries). The once captain of England’s national team has won league titles in Spain, Italy, and England and holds the record for making 115 international appearances as an outfield player.

With reference to Beckham’s contractual opportunity to purchase a soccer franchise, Dan Courtemanche, MLS  executive vice-president of communications, has this to say: “At some point in time he will exercise that option and we can go through the process of making sure it is the perfect fit for David and Major League Soccer but we are not there yet.”

David Beckham will retire after his season ends with Paris Saint-Germain of France’s Ligue 1. The 38-year-old joined the club in January with a five-month contract and he’s now ready to retire a champion.

PSG went on to clinch the Ligue 1 title earlier this week after rival Marseille failed to make up any ground. The French club’s title was celebrated with a parade in the streets of Paris that came to an abrupt end as a riot broke out.

The riot kept celebrations to a minimum, but Beckham’s had plenty of time to celebrate throughout his career which began at Manchester United. During his time with the Red Devils, Beckham won six Premier League championships, two F.A. Cup titles, and he was also won the Champions League with the club during the 1998-99 season.

He left United in 2003 to make a move to the Spanish powerhouse in Real Madrid of La Liga. He spent four seasons with the club, winning his only La Liga title in 2006-07.

David Beckham will retire as one of the best travelling footballers in the world, as he left Madrid in 2007 to “cross the pond” and join the Los Angeles Galaxy of the MLS. Though he was sent off on loan to A.C. Milan on two separate occasions, Beckham won three MLS championships and was named the Best MLS Player in 2011 at the ESPY Awards.

His career will now come to an end after his short outing with PSG that was capped off with his first French title. The once captain of England’s national team has too many achievements to count as he now leaves the game while going out on top.

“I feel now is the right time to finish my career, playing at the highest level,” Beckham said in a statement to the Associated Press.

Paris Saint-Germain won the Ligue 1 title for the first time since 1994 thanks to a 1-0 win over Lyon at the Stade Gerland on Sunday night.

Jeremy Menez scored the only goal of the game in the 53rd minute to clinch the victory and prompt wild celebrations in the PSG dressing room.

The league leaders were on the back foot though in the early going and dodged a big bullet just moments into the game when Nicolas Douchez made a fantastic save to deny Bafetimbi Gomis.

PSG fired a warning shot of its own minutes later as Zlatan Ibrahimovic unleashed a low drive that was cleared off the line by a Lyon defender.

The visitors had another chance to take the lead but Menez was unable to find the back of the net from close range.

It was a splendid start but soon both teams tightened up and the first half was devoid of any noteworthy scoring chances.

PSG then scored the goal it was desperately looking for when Menez found himself with acres of space and powered a shot past a helpless Anthony Lopes.

The capital city club was content to defend in numbers and had two excellent opportunities to kill the game off but Menez and Javier Pastore were wasteful in front of goal.

Still, PSG saw off Lyon’s threat to win the club’s third league title much to the delight of manager Carlo Ancelotti.

“I’m very pleased because we have worked hard this season,” he said. “We wrapped it up against a good team.

“We deserved it and it’s time to celebrate. I’m very happy to have won the title in France.”

Ancelotti might not be around to defend the Ligue 1 title as rumors are running rampant and wild that he will leave the club in the summer.

Nonetheless, he will be satisfied that PSG won the Ligue 1 title for the first time in 19 years under his guidance.

Think of Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez’s music and footballer David Beckham doesn’t immediately spring to mind. So imagine his teammates’ surprise when they discovered the pop couple’s hits on his iPod.

But as it turns out, the Brit soccer star, who plays for Paris Saint-Germain, and who previously said his musical tastes includes hardcore rappers like Eminem, Jay-Z and reggae legend Bob Marley, is a secret pop lover.

Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, told The Sun newspaper that he was shocked after scrolling through his teammate’s iPod.

“We were looking through his play-list in the dressing room – there was lots of Justin Bieber, Jonas Brothers and Selena Gomez,” he said.

While taken aback, Ibrahimovic admits he was relieved to discover the mighty Beckham had — in his opinion — a musical achilles heel.

“We were expecting some cool English rock bands and hip-hop,” he added. “It is nice to know that even David Beckham doesn’t have good taste on everything.”

Beckham’s wife, the fiercely fashionable ex-Posh Spice, who is now a big name designer in her own right, may have something to say about the not-so-subtle accusation that her husband has ‘bad taste.’

Mother to sons Brooklyn, 14, Romeo, 10, Cruz who is eight, and the couple’s only daughter Harper Seven, who turns two this summer, Victoria caused quite the stir when she tweeted a selfie with a bobbed hair on Wednesday.

The reason? The fashion maven was seen arriving in Paris on Thursday on a Eurostar train from London, with a full head of long, lustrous locks.

But, fear not. The good folk at Elle magazine think they know what’s at the root of the hair mystery.

Extensions. Put them in, take them out, put them back in again. It’s quite simple really when you think about it.

According to Sky Sports, Paris Saint-Germain owner Nasser al-Khelaifi has asked David Beckham to stay for another season. The superstar is only signed through the end of  this season, but he hasn’t ruled out the idea of returning to PSG next year.

Beckham has appeared in seven matches for PSG this season, including a 1-1 draw against Barcelona in the Champions League on April 10. Barcelona advanced on away goals after playing to a 2-2 draw in the first leg of the quarterfinal match-up.

Beckham has enjoyed his time in Paris and will play out the rest of the season before deciding on his future with PSG.

“I am enjoying this season so far and will enjoy it until the end of the season,” Beckham told Sky Sports in an exclusive interview. “Hopefully we will be successful and then I will make a decision on what I do.”

PSG’s newest midfielder hasn’t forgotten how old he’s getting but that’s not stopping him from having fun.

“But to be honest I am 38 in May and you get a reminder of your age every now and then, but I am still enjoying playing,” Beckham added. “I love playing and until that goes away I hope I can continue.”

Keeping Beckham around could only add a boost to the team’s morale as multiple players have expressed that they would love Beckham to stay. Striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic said that he wants Beckham to come back next season and made it known that everyone at PSG wants him to return.

The decision will be a tough one to make as Beckham’s move to Paris has kept him away from his family though he insists that he’s enjoying himself. He signed a five-month contract with PSG in January and has connected with his new teammates quickly as they inch closer to the Ligue 1 title.

PSG currently holds a nine-point lead over rival Marseille in the standings with a mere six matches left. OGC Nice will travel to Paris and face PSG in their next match on Sunday.

Beckham should suit up for the match as he has a lot of decisions to make in his near future. The next six fixtures for PSG may have a lot to do with his choice to return to the club or not.

Paris Saint-Germain came from behind to secure a dramatic 2-2 draw with Barcelona in the first leg of its Champions League quarter-final at the Parc des Princes on Tuesday.

Lionel Messi opened the scoring in the 38th minute before Zlatan Ibrahimovic leveled matters late in the second half. Xavi seemed to have settled it from the penalty spot in the waning moments but Blaise Matuidi scored on the last kick of the game.

PSG coach Carlo Ancelotti selected an attacking lineup, which included a surprise start for David Beckham in midfield.

The French club sprinted out of the starting blocks and almost took the lead when Ezequiel Lavezzi beat his marker and curled a left-footed shot that deflected off Gerard Pique and hit the post.

The hosts kept coming in waves and Javier Pastore unleashed a drive that Barca keeper Victor Valdes fumbled with Lavezzi lurking dangerously.

It was all PSG as Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s low free kick was expertly parried away by Valdes. Ibra had another good opportunity to open the scoring when Lucas found him in stride but the Swede dragged his shot wide of the post when he really should have hit the target.

Barcelona then made the hosts pay for their profligacy in front of goal as Dani Alves’ lofted pass found Messi who volleyed a shot into the far corner.

It was a cruel blow for the hosts but the goal showed the punishing prowess of Messi.

The Argentine almost doubled Barca’s advantage but his curling effort just flew over the crossbar and the visitors took a 1-0 lead into the break.

Barca was dealt a setback of its own before the second half even started as Messi was forced to withdraw with a suspected muscle injury.

PSG was clearly running out of gas and Barca was more than content to hold onto the ball. Ibrahimovic then was presented with a glorious opportunity but Valdes stood tall and made a vital stop.

However, the hosts finally broke through when Ibrahimovic pounced on the ball after Thiago Silva’s header hit the crossbar and scored from close range.

This match seemed to be heading towards a 1-1 result until Salvatore Sirigu brought down Alexis Sanchez in the penalty area and Xavi made no mistake from the spot.

PSG looked done and dusted but amazingly Matuidi scored late when his shot took a big deflection off a Barca defender and rolled past Valdes.

Paris Saint-Germain salvaged a dramatic 2-2 draw but Barcelona will still like its chances heading into the second leg at Camp Nou.

David Beckham has admitted that he still harbors hopes of returning to the English national team one day.

The Paris Saint Germain star has not represented his country since the 3-0 win over Belarus on October 14, 2009 but revealed that he would jump at the opportunity to play for the Three Lions again.

“One of the reasons I have never retired for the England team is because, if there is ever an opportunity to play for them again, I’m available,” Beckham said on Tuesday.

Beckham joined the French club in January 2013 after a successful five-year stint with the LA Galaxy, where he won two consecutive MLS Cups in 2011 and 2012.

He has made five appearances for PSG this season and is currently preparing for the mouthwatering Champions League quarter-final clash with Barcelona later on Tuesday.

David Beckham has also won league titles with Manchester United and Real Madrid before moving to Los Angeles in 2007.

However, the veteran midfielder has never won any silverware with England and said that he would return to the Three Lions if national team manager Roy Hodgson gave him a call.

“If there is any chance of me playing for my country again, I would never turn that down,” he stated. “I’m almost 38 so the chances are slight but you never know.”

Beckham has played in three World Cups and made 115 appearances for England, which is second only to Peter Shilton’s record of 125 caps.

International sports superstar David Beckham is China’s new soccer ambassador. He has been recruited by the world’s most populous country to help bring new life to its struggling soccer industry.

China is attempting to fix its image both at home and internationally after a recent match-fix scandal crippled it. FIFA recently extended bans on 58 Chinese soccer officials worldwide for corruption.

As China’s new soccer ambassador, David Beckham will bring “credibility as one of the most admired sportsmen and iconic figures in the world,” according to a statement released by his management. CNN reports that part of Beckham’s mission will be to encourage the countries youth to embrace soccer.

For David Beckham the move makes an already busy year busier. He recently made his debut with Paris Saint Germain after leaving the Los Angeles Galaxy. Beckham played for the American club for five years before returning to Europe. After winning the MLS Cup, he became part of a rare group of soccer players to win league titles in three different countries. He also debuted a new H&M ad campaign

China is much cleaner now, and fan interest has been on the rise. Shanghai made headlines recently by signing two major international stars to contracts. One player, Didier Drogba, left after 10 months of an 18 month contract. The other player, Nicolas Anelka, is currently on a five-month loan to Italy’s Juventes.

David Beckham made his comeback for his new soccer team, Paris Saint Germain, on Wednesday evening, after he made his first start for the French side.

The 37-year-old midfielder even inspired his cohorts as they overcame Marseille to win 2-0 in the French Cup. Both goals in the encounter were scored by the Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Beckham’s new manager, the Italian Carlo Ancelotti, remarked of his performance, “He made a very good performance. He made good passes as usual, he was well positioned on the pitch alongside Blaise Matuidi. He was very solid.”

This was actually Beckham’s second showing in the colours of Paris Saint Germain, after he came off the bench on Sunday to play against Marseille again in the domestic league.

Beckham even managed to set up the opening goal in this encounter, when he played a ball into the area that was then subsequently passed on to Ibrahimovic again who finished beyond the goalkeeper.

With his start, Beckham has now started a league fixture in four of the five major European leagues, after playing for Manchester United, Real Madrid, and AC Milan throughout his career.

Aged 37 years and nine months, Beckham also became the oldest player to feature in a Ligue 1 fixture since 2011, when Claude Makele played for PSG at the age of 38 years old and three months.

Beckham is currently playing for Paris Saint Germain for free after he decided to donate all of his earnings to a children’s charity in the French capital. His contract with the club expires in the summer, when he is expected to retire.

A fifth Beckham baby has been long-rumored for footballer David and former pop star wife Victoria. Just scant months after the 2012 arrival of daughter Harper, the pair already were shooting down rumors of yet another baby.

A fifth Beckham baby would add to the famous pair’s brood of three boys and one baby girl, and Victoria has in the past admitted that she hasn’t ruled out the possibility of again adding to their family. The Beckhams are parents, in addition to Harper, to sons Brooklyn, Cruz, and Romeo.

Harper was just months old when a fifth Beckham baby was teased about by the Mrs. in a Glamour interview. Speaking of the new addition back then, she mused:

“I’d never say never about another baby. It’s a juggling act—a career, family, a husband who’s busy. But I’d never say never!”

That was back in October, and the couple’s reps were quickly shooting down fifth Beckham baby rumors — but even then, not entirely confidently, telling E!:

“To my knowledge, she is not pregnant.”

That was four months ago, and fifth Beckham baby buzz is heating up again in a culture obsessed with celebrity spawning. Earlier this month, Britain’s Daily Mail quoted David too as again talking about a new sprog, having said during and interview on Jonathan Ross’s ITV1 talk show:

“Harper is seven months now. I can’t even look at her without welling up. After having three boys, you just assume that you’re going to have another boy, but when we got told she was a little girl, it was amazing.”

The soccer star continued, saying that they’re not just considering a fifth Beckham baby … but perhaps a sixth, too:

“We might have one more or two more, you never know. We’re not thinking about it yet, but if it happens, great. We’re enjoying the kids as it is. It’s always a thought … I mean, we’re busy people and we’re enjoying the four kids that we’ve got already and we’re lucky, we’re lucky to have four healthy children.”

But the rumors started up again at Fashion Week when Victoria allegedly quipped in response to a question about a boutique in Paris that “maybe” she would branch out there — reportedly adding “maybe we’ll get a Paris baby, too!”

As of now, no official news of a fifth Beckham baby has been reported.

David Beckham didn’t star in Calvin Klein’s Super Bowl underwear ad this year but don’t worry, the soccer star is still taking his clothes off on camera. H&M recently released a new ad featuring Beckham running around in some skimpy underwear.

The ad starts with Beckham standing outside of his house in a robe. His robe gets caught in the door of a car and throughout the rest of the commercial he is slowly stripped of the rest of his clothes with the exception of some skimpy underwear.

The soccer star chases down the car Ferris Bueller style (running through backyards, jumping over bushes, etc…) but ends up watching his shirt drive off in the distance as he stands nearly naked in front of a group of tourists.

The Seattle Times reports that Beckham launched his own underwear line with H&M and has done several commercials and billboards with the company.

Beckham said:

“No matter how many campaigns I do with H&M, I will never get used to seeing myself on billboards. It’s always a surprise to me when I see them. I’m lucky to work with such great photographers and stylists, so the images are always the best they can be.”

Beckham may be the focus of the H&M underwear ad but he wasn’t the only big name attached to the project. The commercial was directed by Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels director Guy Ritchie.

David Beckham has joined French Ligue 1 team Paris St-Germain and has also announced that he will play for free.

The 37 year-old has signed a five-month deal with the club and his entire wage will go to a children’s charity.

Speaking at a press conference in the French capital, Beckham stated, “I’m excited, it’s something we’ve been working on and talking about for quite a while. I won’t receive any salary. My salary will go to a local children’s charity. That’s one of the things we are excited and proud to do.”

The former England captain also added,”It’s something the guys [PSG management] do, but obviously it’s a very good figure. That’s one thing we’re very excited about. To be able to give a huge sum to a children’s charity in Paris is very special.”

Beckham left LA Galaxy in December and has been training with Arsenal for the last few days. He also revealed that he had offers from 12 different clubs but decided to go to Paris Saint-Germain as he didn’t want to damage his reputation at Manchester United, where he played between 1993-2003.

The midfielder also failed to diffuse any discussion over whether this will be his last club, stating, “I don’t know if this will be my last contract. People have been speculating about that for a number of years, but I continue to play and sign contracts.”

“I will see how I feel but I want to play as long as possible. My passion is football. It has always been. When I play football it is not about the biggest contract.”

David Beckham is set to spend the next few weeks training with Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal, as he is still yet to sign with a new club.

The 37-year-old England legend is still a free agent after his departure from LA Galaxy, but in order for him to maintain his fitness he will play alongside the likes of Theo Walcott, Olivier Giroud, and Santi Carzola.

Arsenal currently train in Hertfordshire and Beckham is expected to make his first appearance at the club’s state-of-the-art facility on Tuesday morning.

An insider for the club spoke to The Sun and stated, “Beckham wanted this all kept hush-hush. You have to wonder why?”

Beckham returned to London over the winter break after spending five years in California playing for the LA Galaxy. But when his contract with the American side expired he decided to relocate himself, and his family, to his home city and he is currently weighing up his options before deciding on a new club.

He has since been linked with the likes of Paris Saint-Germain, AC Milan, and Sao Paulo, whilst the likes of Queens Park Rangers and West Ham have also declared their interest in signing the player.

In the past Arsenal’s manager, Arsene Wenger, has declared his admiration for the former England captain’s outstanding attitude and he believes that he will have a positive influence on his younger players.

In the past week, David’s sons, Brooklyn, Romeo, and Cruz, have each followed their father into the professional sporting cauldron and are currently playing in Chelsea’s youth system.

Beckham, who has recently relocated back to the English capital from Los Angeles, was spotted in Primrose Hill in North London on Sunday enjoying time with his sons, Brooklyn, and Romeo, as they sled down one of the nearby park’s hills.

The 37-year-old was seen pushing Brooklyn, who is 13-years-old, down the incline before then returning back up the hill with their yellow and blue patterned sled for another ride.

Beckham was mostly supervising his sons, but he clearly couldn’t resist the urge to have a go himself. The soccer player was wearing black trousers, a quilted jacket, and a woolly hat with a pair of snow shoes.

Brooklyn looked to capture every moment on his mobile phone as he slid down the hill with his father. Ten-year-old Romeo could also be seen to be having a joyous time on his own red and white sled.

Unsurprisingly, David’s wife, the former Spice Girl, Victoria, was absent from the event, as were the pair’s youngest son Cruz and their daughter Harper.

Many people noticed David and his family on their adventures, with several individuals taking to Twitter to register their delight at seeing their hero. One person tweeted, “Sledding@primrose hill soooooooo cold! Just saw David Beckham, and we are wearing the same snow boots #winterfun #snow.”

Beckham is still yet to sign for a new soccer club and is currently deliberating over his options.

David Beckham has been showing off his impressive physique to the public whilst shooting the newest commercial for his latest H&M underwear campaign.

The ad, which is directed by Guy Ritchie, the A-list film director and former husband of Madonna, is set to premiere on February 6, and sees David running through the streets and gardens of Beverly Hills wearing only his boxers.

Discussing the piece, Ritchie noted, “David makes the perfect leading man. For me this felt more than a campaign – it was like directing a short film.”

Beckham then went on to repay the compliment to the director, stating, “Working with Guy has been a fantastic experience. I hope everyone has as much fun watching the film as I had making it.”

Of course, Ritchie has previous turning soccer stars into Hollywood actors. For his debut feature film, Lock Stock And Two Smoking Barrels, he cast former midfielder Vinny Jones in a leading role which helped to propel the former hard-man into the cinematic stratosphere.

There have been reports of offers from clubs in France, Australia, and Asia for David Beckham to continue his much accomplished career. Despite the many offers, Beckham’s management company said he still in the “early days of the process” to decide what he will do next.

“David is in no hurry to make a decision, the key is making the right one as he has always done successfully in his career,” the statement said.

ESPN has noted that it’s unlikely Beckham will make a return to the English Premier League, where he was a star for the Manchester United from 1993 to 2003. He’s reportedly also ruled out a jump to Australia’s A-League.

David and Victoria Beckham’s son Romeo debuts in his first modeling assignment this week for British fashion label Burberry.

At 10-years-old, Romeo is the “youngest addition to the brand’s ever expanding cast of models, musicians and actors,” the London Evening Standard reports.

The second eldest of the Beckhams’ four children, Romeo posed for Burberry’s spring-summer 2013 campaign in secret two months ago.

The shoot was helmed by premier fashion photographer, Mario Testino, who famously shot Princess Diana as well as Prince William and Kate’s engagement photographs.

Although only 10, according to the Daily Mail, the gap-toothed youngster arrived on set without his famous parents but was accompanied “by his nanny and security guards.”

Hand-picked by Burberry’s Chief Creative Officer, Christopher Bailey — who is a close friend of Romeo’s soccer star father David and fashion designer mother, Victoria — as is Testino, Romeo was shown “the ropes” by other Burberry models, said the Evening Standard.

Romeo was “a joy to work with and really stole the show,” said Bailey, IBN Live reports.

“We had such fun shooting the campaign and I think that comes through in the images, which really reflect the upbeat spirit of the collection.”

According to the Daily Mail, Romeo was paid for his part in the campaign, but, in a public statement, a Burberry spokeswoman would only say: “We never comment on money.”

Wearing a stylish trench coat and holding a plaid umbrella, Romeo is all smiles alongside Burberry model regulars Edie Campbell and Cara Delvigne in the photographs and promotional video that have been released.

Tomorrow marks the departure of David Beckham, the face of Major League Soccer, from the Los Angeles Galaxy after spending nearly six years with the MLS.

Beckham has so far kept quiet about his plans after leaving the Galaxy following Saturday’s MLS Cup finals, but that hasn’t kept people from speculating as to where Beckham will end up next. Reports indicate that AS Monaco could be interested in making a bid around the upcoming January transfer window.

Although Beckham has yet to decide where he’ll likely finish up his soccer career, he tells Fox Sports that all of the talk about Monaco’s interest is “flattering,” as are all of the other offers he’s received.

“I heard about Monaco on the way to training this morning from a friend in London who said ‘I hear you are going to Monaco’. That was the first I’d heard of that,” said Beckham. “I’ve got some interesting and exciting options on the table.

“I am very flattered by some of the options that I’ve got. I still feel I can play and I’m not considering retiring. I’ve still got managers like Carlo Ancelotti and Harry Redknapp and Sam Allardyce coming out that are saying they’d love me to play and they know how professional I am, it means a lot to me.”

Monaco isn’t the only club looking to nab Beckham. Top clubs from Australia, Brazil, Russia, China, and France are all said to be interested in offering Beckham contracts of their own.

“I’ve always said I think I would struggle to come back and play in England because I’ve played for the biggest club in the world, the biggest club in England, Manchester United, and I couldn’t see myself playing for any other Premiership team,” Beckham added.

“But you never know. Like I said, we’ve got some exciting options on the table. I do think we’ll be spending a little more time in England because it’s good for the kids to see their grandparents.”

David Beckham is set to play his final game for the Los Angeles Galaxy, and it couldn’t be a bigger one.

Beckham announced that he will be leaving the team after next month’s MLS Cup, letting the public know of his decision one day after the team advanced to its second straight league championship game.

As The Associated Press noted, the 37-year-old David Beckham isn’t retiring, but hasn’t announced his next move yet.

“I’ve had an incredibly special time playing for the L.A. Galaxy,” Beckham said in a statement. “However, I wanted to experience one last challenge before the end of my playing career. I don’t see this as the end of my relationship with the league, as my ambition is to be part of the ownership structure in the future.”

David Beckham has spent six seasons with the LA Galaxy after his shocking departure from Real Madrid. In that time the team has advanced to three league finals and won the MLS title last year.

“In my time here I have seen the popularity of the game grow every year,” Beckham said. “I’ve been fortunate to win trophies, but more important to me has been the fantastic reception I’ve had from fans in L.A. and across the States. Soccer’s potential has no limits in this wonderful country, and I want to always be part of growing it.”

Playing at the Home Depot Center, Brand was able to watch as David Beckham’s daughter Harper showed off her loyal suport for the Galaxy as he father played on the pitch below.

Sat on her mother Victoria’s lap she screamed and chanted for the team as she was surrounded by a hoard of famous celebrities from across the pond. Gordon and Tana Ramsey were in attendance with their brood of sons whilst Brand also made a rogue appearance to support the former England captain.

Brand is a reputed West Ham United fan but showed that his allegiance to the American side by intently watching the contest. Victoria dotted over Harper making sure that she didn’t get up to too much mischief, playing with her hair and allowing her to dance on her lap in elation.

The rest of the Beckham clan was also in attendance, with youngest son Cruz, Brooklyn and Romeo focusing their attention on the game and the rest of the family friends.

Victoria meanwhile has also revealed that she doesn’t mind if Harper grows up to be a tomboy, stating to the French magazine ELLE: “If she turns out to be a tomboy – with three brothers, it can happen – I’ll be OK with that.”

LA Galaxy went on to win the contest 1-0 with an 84 minute strike from Magee after an assist by Robbie Keane.

10 year-old Romeo Beckham has decided to wear his baby sister’s name Harper on his neck placed in the same spot just like his father. The only difference is that unlike his father, his homage to sister Harper is fake. The tattoo is identical to David’s real tattoo for daughter Harper.

The new addition to Romeo’s skin was spotted in a paparazzi photo while out with his equally famous mother Victoria “Posh Spice’ Beckham and his brothers for an early Halloween shopping trip while in Santa Monica. The Beckham boys, who are known for their stylish looks stepped out looking fashionably perfect. Romeo was seen in maroon pants, a white t-shirt, trainers and of course, the fake ink work showing Harper’s name. The shirt was worn low so that he could proudly display the tattoo for prying eyes.

Baby sister Harper Beckham is the only girl out of the three Beckham boys, and was born last July. The original ink on David was revealed when he took his shirt off during a game with LA Galaxy in August shortly after her birth. The tattoo is said to be right above David’s tattoo of three cherubs who carry Jesus. In the past Beckham said the tattoo represents his three sons. “It’s Jesus being carried by three cherubs and obviously the cherubs are my boys and so my thought of it is that at some point my boys are going to need to look after me and that’s what they’re doing in the picture. It means a lot.”

All of David Beckham’s tattoos are said to be dedicated to his growing brood. Perhaps Romeo is on that track as well.

But normal people probably don’t get the store closed down just so they can buy the underwear.

The actress was seen in H&M in Surrey, England, where she was picking up a number of boxers for Brad Pitt, EntertainmentWise reported. But it wasn’t a conventional shopping trip, an inside source claimed.

“Ange has been a regular at her local branch of the clothes chain since she moved to Surrey,” the insider claimed. “Last week the store closed so she could have the shop to herself. She bought loads of stuff, including some of David’s pants.”

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are living in the English countryside for a while as they complete filming commitments, Metro reported. Angelina is apparently passing the time doing a little shopping, but Brad Pitt might be hitting the gun range instead.

The actor told Daily Mail Live that he keeps a few firearms in the family’s house, and doesn’t feel safe without a gun at his side.

“America is a country founded on guns,” Brad Pitt siad. “It’s in our DNA. It’s very strange but I feel better having a gun. I really do. I don’t feel safe, I don’t feel the house is completely safe, if I don’t have one hidden somewhere.

It’s not clear if Angelina Jolie will be buying Pitt’s underwear for their walk down the aisle. After dating for years, the couple finally announced in April that they plan to marry.

“‘We are going to do it,” Brad Pitt said. “We haven’t set a date yet, though. We are getting a lot of pressure from our kids.”

So it looks like Angelina Jolie can be making underwear shopping trips for Brad Pitt for many years to come.

The new shots, which will be plastered across billboards throughout the US this week, feature the 37-year-old Beckham sporting a lush Magnum P.I.-style mustache and a pair of H&M boxer briefs.

“I’m very happy that so far people seem to like it, and the first season was incredibly successful,” Beckham, who was a part of the 2012 Olympic torch lighting ceremony, said of the new underwear campaign. “The challenge is to keep it going and establish a brand that will last many years. That is my ambition.”

In addition to the new billboard ads, Yahoo! writes that nine 10-foot statues of the soccer star will be placed throughout New York City, Los Angeles and San Francisco.

Beckham said he didn’t have any help getting in shape for the ads, where he was minimally dressed in front of the cameras.

“I did nothing different,” he says. “I’m naturally fit, of course, as an athlete, so there is nothing out of the ordinary I do!”

According to H&M’s website, the David Beckham Bodywear line was designed by the soccer star himself and reflects Beckham’s personal style with a focus on quality, fit, function, comfort and design.

Besides boxer briefs, the line features trunks, regular briefs, woven boxers, T-shirts, henleys, and pajama bottoms and long johns.

Victoria Beckham used to smile, but then she got into fashion. The model and now born-again Spice Girl recently told Glamour Magazine that she believes that fashion “stole” her smile.

Beckham said:

“I actually used to smile a lot in pictures. I think I only stopped smiling when I got into fashion….Fashion stole my smile!”

The International Business Times notes that it’s pretty difficult to find a photo of Beckham smiling on the runway or red carpet, but the model insists that she’s a much happier person when she’s away from the cameras.

Beckham said:

“I’ve created this person. And I’m not saying that’s not me, but I wouldn’t say that’s the whole me. … It’s an armor that goes up.”

Victoria Beckham may keep her smile behind an icy veil on the runway, but the 38-year-old model has plenty to smile about in her personal life. Beckham recently reunited with her fellow Spice Girls and is planning a new musical, she has four children with her husband David Beckham, and she recently unveiled a new fashion line.

Victoria said that she hopes to maintain the happiness in her life and maybe, one day, her and David will decide to have another baby.

David Beckham may not be on the Olympic team this year but he’s still making an impact on soccer fans. The former England captain and current LA Galaxy Star surprised a group of fans inside of a photo booth at the Westfield Stratford City shopping center, which is just a few blocks from the Olympic stadium.

The fans were taking pictures to support the Great Britain Olympic Team for Adidas’ Take The Stage Campaign. They were not, however, expecting to take photos with David Beckham.

Some people broke down in tears. Some people screamed. Some people rushed the star to give him a hug and a kiss.

Beckham said:

“It was a unique experience for me and the people who took part and there were some great reactions when we surprised them in the photo booth. I always love coming back to London and the activity was a great opportunity for me to get involved in the Adidas Take The Stage campaign and get behind Team GB.”

Beckham was left off of the 2012 Olympic Team this year but said that he would still do all that he could to support the GB Olympic team.

Beckham said:

“Everyone knows how much playing for my country has always meant to me, so I would have been honored to have been part of this unique Team GB squad…. Naturally I am very disappointed, but there will be no bigger supporter of the team than me. And like everyone, I will be hoping they can win the gold.”

David Beckham won’t be playing for Britain’s Olympic soccer team this year in London.

Beckham, who carried the Olympic torch earlier this year, was disappointed about Coach Stuart Pearce’s decision. But the Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder said that he was ready to help the team from the stands.

Beckham said:

“Everyone knows how much playing for my country has always meant to me, so I would have been honored to have been part of this unique Team GB squad…. Naturally I am very disappointed, but there will be no bigger supporter of the team than me. And like everyone, I will be hoping they can win the gold.”

Beckham has been the face of the London Olympics since the city won the bid in 2005. London organizing chairman Sebastian Coe said that Beckham may still find a place at the 2012 London Olympics. Coe said:

“David has been an extraordinary supporter, probably our No. 1 supporter, of the games from the very beginning and is keen to continue his enthusiastic support right to the end… He really gets this. He is from east London and knows how important the games and sport are to young people. He is a great role model and we are lucky to have such an advocate. I will be talking to him about a games-time role.”

The Washington Post reports that Coach Pearce hasn’t given a reason for cutting Beckham yet but is expected to when the complete roster for Britain’s Olympic soccer team becomes available later this week.

But there is some good news for Beckham. Now that his Olympic schedule is cleared he’ll be able to watch his wife in the Spice Girls musical.

Want to own a piece of Olympic history? The torch carried by David Beckham during the 2012 Torch Relay has just hit the auction block and has already drawn thousand dollar bids.

According to Eurosport, the site was set up to help offset the cost of staging the games. In addition to David Beckham’s torch, the website will auction off items like a baton from the men’s 4×100 meter relay, tennis balls from the Olympic tournament, and signed posters from the athletes.

Beckham’s torch, which the football star also signed, is currently the biggest item on the site.

The website writes:

“This is the Torch carried by David Beckham on 18 May 2012 as the Olympic Flame arrived in the United Kingdom, and used to light the first Olympic cauldron of the London 2012 Torch Relay…. It’s a piece of history from the unforgettable journey of the Olympic Flame through more than 1,000 cities, towns and villages in the UK over the course of 70 days, shining a light on the very best of Britain.”

Currently, the highest bid on Beckham’s torch is £2,050 (about $2500). The auction ends in two weeks.

When the Olympic Flame landed in Britain, Beckham said that it was an honor to be a part of the ceremony. Beckham said:

“I’ve never performed at an Olympic Games. But to be part of this is something very special. We’ve got some very special people carrying the torch, and it’s going to be a proud moment for them. If I was to be one of those carrying in London, it would be very special for me.”

Mayweather topped the list of the year’s 100 highest-paid athletes, released by Forbes this week. His rise to the top of the list, which he did in less than one hour of actual time spent in the ring, unseated Tiger Woods for the first time in a decade.

Since 2001 Woods held the top spot, but fell to No. 3 in this year’s rankings with $59.4 million. The golfer’s total earnings dropped $16 million from last year and is half of what he earned at his peak in 2009, Yahoo News reported. Even improved play of late has not been able to help Woods offset the loss of sponsors like Gillette and Tag Heuer, a Yahoo News report said.

Fellow fighter and Mayweather rival Manny Pacquiao finished No. 2 with $62 million. Miami Heat star Lebron James finished No. 4 with $53 million while tennis star Roger Federer was No. 5 with $52.7 million.

The rest of the list was: No. 6. Kobe Bryant with $52.3 million, No. 7 Phil Mickelson with $47.8 million, No. 8 David Beckham with $46 million, No. 9 Cristiano Ronaldo with $42.5 million and No. 10. Peyton Manning with $42.4 million.

Mayweather’s rise to the top of the list was notable because of his efficiency and style in earning his money, Yahoo News reported. He created buzz with colorful antics and played to a wider audience through his appearance on Dancing with the Stars in 2007, making him the sport’s most colorful star and helping his bout with Cotto net $94 million in pay-per-view receipts. The fighter also acts as his own promote through his company, Mayweather Promotions, allowing him to collect revenue from tickets, pay-per-view and sponsorships.

Mayweather’s outlook for 2012 isn’t as solid—the fighter is currently behind bars for the next three months for domestic battery.

The Olympic Flame has complete its journey around Greece and will now embark on its 70 day tour around Britain before the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

The AFP reports that the flame touched down at the Royal Naval Air Station at Culdrose in Cornwall, England, earlier today. Princess Anne, the daughter of Queen Elizabeth II, carried the Olympic flame off of the plane in a specially designed lantern.

Princess Anne was accompanied by David Beckham, Olympics organiser Lord Coe, Olympics minister Hugh Robertson, and London mayor Boris Johnson.

Beckham, who used the flame to light the torch which will be carried around Britain, said:

“I’ve never performed at an Olympic Games. But to be part of this is something very special. We’ve got some very special people carrying the torch, and it’s going to be a proud moment for them. If I was to be one of those carrying in London, it would be very special for me.”

Lord Coe added:

“The arrival of the Olympic Flame on home soil is a magical moment for any host country. It will connect millions of people around the UK to the Games in a unique way and allows us to celebrate the best of the UK and its people.”

The Olympic Flame will now start its 70-day, 8000 mile journey around the UK. Sailor Ben Ainslie, a three-time gold medalist, will be the first to carry the torch.

The Kiss-Cam has captured another celebrity moment. Last month Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez were caught in an embarrassing moment at a basketball game. This week, Victoria Beckham took David out to see the Lakers play for his birthday and gave him a smooch when the kiss-cam pointed in their direction.

MTV reports that the kiss happened in front of more than 20,000 fans during the Lakers game vs. the Nuggets at the Staples Center on May 1st.

And David got a lot more than a kiss for his birthday.

The soccer player, who turned 37 on May 2nd, received a few sweet gifts from his family.

For one, Beckham received a Magic Johnson jersey. Beckham didn’t write much about the jersey (besides saying that it was the ”Best birthday present ever!!”) but you can see a few signatures in the 32.

And since its framed, and since he’s David Beckham, the jersey is probably an authentic game jersey.

After unwrapping all of his presents Beckham wrote on Facebook:

Adidas picked three great athletes to represent the brand in its new commercial. Derrick Rose, David Beckham, and Lionel Messi share the screen in the new “We All Run” commercial, but the shoe company decided to widen its audience a little and invited Katy Perry to join the run.

Perry goes for a jog along the coast of Santa Barbara in her signature blue do while a remix of her song “Part Of Me” plays in the commercial.

Adidas writes:

“We all have a different reason to run. Watch David Beckham, Lionel Messi,Derrick Rose and Katy Perry go all in on their run. Whatever the reason, wherever you are, go farther and enjoy every stride.”

On Perry’s biography page on Adidas.com, the singer doesn’t talk much about her running abilities. She does, however, say that she loves to wear adorable things.

Perry said: “I like to wear things that have a sense of humor and that are adorable… I’m inspired by a lot of different things… pop culture, different females, humor.”

According to a report by ESPN, the LA Galaxy star was apparently thrown off the field when he had a disagreement with a referee prior to his 9-year-old son Romeo’s soccer game.

Beckham talked about his red card incident during a recent interview with British talk show Jonathan Ross:

“I was watching the kids play the other day,” he said on Saturday’s broadcast, according to a report in British tabloid Daily Mail. “It was the game just before they were playing. It was the younger kids of Romeo’s club, and they’re playing in the game and there was a penalty given. And the kids are 7 years old, and [the referee] sent the kid off.

The decision apparently didn’t sit well with Beckham, as he explained that he confronted the ref – only to be given a red card of his own before being booted out of the park.

“I was like, ‘Come on, he’s 7 years old, referee, you can’t send him off.’ And he looked at me and was like, ‘Yes, I can.’ And I was like, ‘OK, well, you can’t, he’s 7 years old.  And he came over and gave me a red card. He told me to get out of the park. For real.”

According to MSN, Beckham was then forced to wait outside the field’s gate for 20 minutes until his son’s match started. Only then was he allowed back in the park as a spectator.

Guess everything else just happened by accident eh David? Still, it’s undeniable that Beckham is one of the world’s great passers of the ball. In the same interview he reveals that he has changed his playing style to adapt to his age, 36.

“I know what my limits are, what I can achieve and which passes I can play. According to the Chicago Tribune, Beckham refused the $12 million a year that PSG were willing to pay, preferring instead the comforts of Los Angeles and a meagre $6.5 million a year. When asked about his decision, Beckham stated:

“This was an important decision for me. I had many offers from clubs from around the world, however, I’m still passionate about playing in America and winning trophies with the Galaxy.”

What playing for LA Galaxy guarantees him is an opportunity to keep playing soccer. It’s difficult to imagine that at PSG, or a Premier League club, Beckham would’ve had the same opportunity. Bruce Arena coach was asked to comment on David Beckham’s decision and said:

“I am thrilled that David has chosen to rejoin the Galaxy, especially as he had numerous options where he could continue his career. I felt that he was one of the best players in all of MLS last season and we could not have achieved the success that we did without him. We look forward to trying to replicate that success this season with David once again in a Galaxy uniform.”

Soccer star David Beckham- who was the subject of a recent death hoax on the microblogging site Twitter- is, contrary to unfounded web rumors, very much alive.

In fact, the not-dead pro footballer is looking into buying recently deceased Hollywood legend Elizabeth Taylor’s jewelry for his wife Victoria. Beckham- who rumors had perishing in a fiery car crash on Interstate 80 in the couple’s adopted home state of California- is said to be planning to bid up to about $4.5 million on the jewels when they go up for auction at Christie’s in December. The auction planned for later this year will raise some funds for the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation.

The baubles are said to be a gift to wife Victoria after the birth of the couple’s fourth child and first girl, who arrived in July and was named Harper Seven. Surprisingly, Beckham said to US chat show host Ellen DeGeneres that the couple may not have wrapped up the whole new baby thing, and may even try for a fifth child. The expat told DeGeneres that he and his missus are fond of adding to their family, and that the two would be pleased if another baby came along:

“If we were lucky enough to have another one, it would be great. We always spoke about having a big family. We love children. We’re very blessed to have four healthy children so if one comes along that would be amazing.”

In addition to the nearly three-month-old Harper Seven, the Beckhams are parents to Brooklyn, 12, Romeo, 9 and Cruz, 6.

The couple, who have three sons- Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz- are demonstrably thrilled with the addition of a baby girl to their clan. In fact, Victoria Beckham- much like the unfamous people you may know on Facebook or Twitter, has taken to posting only pics of the baby since Harper’s mid-July birth. (Celebrities- they’re just like the rest of us!)

On Twitter, over the past month, Beckham has said:

Harper’s mom isn’t the only Beckham to become besotted with the child. Her dad has added to his massive collection of tattoos with a freshly-inked tribute to his new daughter as well. At a recent LA Galaxy game in Los Angeles, Beckham removed his shirt, inadvertently revealing a new tattoo of Harper’s name near his left collarbone.

Soccer fans in England can be a rowdy bunch, especially when their favorite football teams are winning, losing or in a tie, but hand it to some rowdy American’s to upstage even the craziest antics of European football.

Galaxy star David Beckham was caught off guard when he saw a fan with a chainsaw, noting:

“That’s one I’ve never seen before.”

The Galaxy (12-2-9) visited Jeld-Wen Field on Wednesday night to take on the Portland Timbers (6-10-4) and not only was the crowd acting rowdy, the team had a lumberjack who would cut off large slabs of wood when the Timbers scored a goal or won the game.

Beckham continued:

“This is what you want to play in front of,” adding, “You want to play in front of fans like this that are passionate about the sport, about the game and their own team — and, hopefully, it’ll give us an extra lift.”

According to ESPN:

The addition of these teams, especially in the Pacific Northwest, has brought a different flavor to America’s top soccer league, new traditions and demographics — and it’s not something new up here. The Timbers date to 1975, in the old North American Soccer League, and the current franchise was restored a decade ago, playing its trade before the Timbers Army in second-tier leagues before arriving in MLS with a distinct culture, built-in rivalries (none more heated than that with the Seattle Sounders) and the backing of a city that has little in the way of big-time pro sports.

Apparently the team is very successful with a waiting list of 2,000 people to attend games.

The Galaxy’s left back Todd Dunivant says of the Timbers fans:

“They’re always loud, always going crazy,” and  “They’re screaming at you when you get off the bus. You know you’re in a hostile place. … Those are the games you want to play in. That’s how the level’s going to be raised throughout the league. If you have fans seeing this, it forces everyone else to kind of step up their game a little bit.”

Chainsaws, rowdy fans, if you can’t make it to Europe for a Manchester United game the Timbers might be your best chance at experiencing the passion of soccer fans without leaving the country.

Last week David Beckham and wife Victoria Beckham named their newborn daughter Harper Seven Beckham and revealed her to the world and now the little girls name has caused a surge in sales of the novel To Kill A Mocking Bird.

The Beckhams announced that Harper was named after the books author Harper Lee, a favorite of Victoria Beckham and then Amazon saw a 123% jump in the number of books sold.

The video message said:

“A lot of thought goes into our children’s names and Harper was a name that we’ve loved for a long time for a couple of reasons,” while adding, “One reason is Harper’s an old English name which we loved and one of the other reasons was Victoria’s favorite book is To Kill A Mockingbird and the author was Harper Lee. It’s a very strong, passionate book. That’s where Harper came from.”

You may recall that back in 2005 Beckham told The Guardian:

“I haven’t read a book in my life…I don’t have the time. I prefer listening to music, although I do love fashion magazines.”

Someone should inform her that To Kill A Mocking Bird is a book.

David Beckham’s spokesman has announced that wife Victoria Beckham has given birth to a healthy baby girl, the fourth child for the power couple. The baby was born on Sunday morning at Cedars Sinai hospital in Los Angeles and came in at a healthy weight of 7lbs, 10oz.

According to rep Simon Oliveira, the couple are ”delighted to announce the birth of their daughter.”

David and Victoria wed in 1999 and have three children; Brooklyn, 11, Romeo, 8, and Cruz, 5.

The news was posted on Sunday via Twitter and the families other children proclaimed that they “are excited to welcome their baby sister to the family.”

It turns out rumors circulating yesterday that Victoria Beckham and footballer husband David were set to welcome their fourth child on the 4th of July did not pan out.

Fans of the couple on Twitter rapidly spread the rumor, even purporting to know the baby’s name and birth weight. The speculated 4th of July due date would also happen to fall on the couple’s twelfth wedding anniversary, but the couple’s flak told press that the baby won’t arrive until later this month:

The spokesman tells Britain’s Daily Mail, “The rumours are rubbish, Victoria has not had the baby but she will be giving birth soon.”

David’s publicist, Simon Oliveira, also addressed the rumours on Monday, writing in a post on Twitter, “Contrary to certain reports, David and Victoria Beckham’s baby is not due today and that was never the case.”

The child will be the Beckhams’ first daughter, and the couple has three sons: Romeo, Cruz and Brooklyn.

Former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham is reportedly scheduled to have her fourth baby with husband David Beckham today via Cesarean section.

The baby, a girl, will be born at a Los Angeles hospital, MTV UK reports. The child will be the Beckhams’ first daughter. David Beckham commented on the differences in preparing for their daughter:

“We’re really excited. You know, it’s a whole new different thing for us. To have so much pink in the house, lilac in the house, and dresses… All the clothes [are] ready, the room’s ready, so we’re all ready for it and all excited.”

Sources also say that Victoria Beckham plans to breastfeed her daughter, her first foray into the practice. Although she formula fed her boys, Beckham says having a girl has caused her to rethink the decision:

Soccer star David Beckham was involved in a freeway accident on Saturday when he crashed his black Cadillac on the 405 Freeway just outside Torrance, CA.

According to the police report Beckham was driving in his car with son Brooklyn when he rear ended a gold Mitsubishi that had broken down and was residing in the carpool lane.

The man in the Mitsubishi was wearing his seatbelt but had to be taken to the hospital while Beckham and Brooklyn are both said to be fine and did not require hospitalization.

You may recall that on February 9 it was Beckham who came to the aid of a British motorist who broke down on the side of the road, karma did not work out in his freeway driving favor this time around.

In 2007 call girl Irma Nici told In Touch Weekly that David Beckham had sex with her, a claim that Beckham denies. Realizing that the tabloid had run with the story Beckham quickly filed a lawsuit against In Touch. Fast forward 4 years later and the international soccer star is now being ordered to pay more than $200,000 to the tabloid.

While David still claims the story is a sham, US District Judge Manuel Real in February threw out his case, stating that Beckham’s legal team was not able to provide any proof of malice on behalf of In Touch.

The $200,000 payment is being used to cover In Touch’s legal fees for defending themselves.

While money is exchanging hands in the wrong direction, at least according to Beckham, he isn’t giving up the fight, having already filed papers in the United States District Court, Central District Of California.

According to a Beckham rep:

“David is appealing… and is confident justice will prevail.”

The Beckham family will soon introduce a new baby girl to the world and David Beckham’s son Romeo wants to name her after teen heartthrob Justin Bieber.

The two youngest Beckham boys, Romeo, eight and Cruz, five, are both big fans of the Biebs and according to various reports their mom Victoria Beckham was struggling to find a name for the families newest member.

According to David, the boys have been trying for a while now to come up with names that play off their favorite singer. During a recent interview with talk show host Jimmy Kimmel he said:

“When we got told it was a boy, my middle son Romeo said, ‘How about Justin Bieber as a name? Justin Bieber Beckham?’ So now we know it’s a girl, he said, ‘Well, how about Justine Bieber Beckham?’”

David went on to add:

“The funny thing is, I was on the way to school drop off the other day and my youngest said, ‘Do you think we could have a play date with Justin Bieber?’ I think he’s a little bit busy.”

I have a feeling the Beckham boys are not going to get their way in this battle, at least for the girls sake I hope not.

NBC is planning on resurrecting Lipstick Jungle via what has been coined the “Friday Night Lights Treatment” through a deal with DirecTV. NBC has admitted that Lipstick Jungle‘s fan base has been impressive enough to make them consider what it will take to keep it up and running, much like last year’s Friday Night Lights sister network deal to save the show.

“We have some incredible channels in our portfolio and we have sister networks that love the show as well” NBC’s Ben Sherman said at a conference yesterday. “We are analyzing what we need to do to keep that show on the air.”

Is this a shrewd move by NBC, and would you follow the show to another location?

Beckham’s regular tattoo artist Louis Malloy (remember the incredibly boring guy from London Ink?) pulled off the tattoo with a Hebrew translation “My son, do not forget my teaching but keep my commands in your heart.” This accompanies another one reading “I am my beloved and my beloved is mine.”

Word has it that the Beckhams have had their fair share of dramz this year: supposedly the couple drummed up tension when they chose not to fly home for David’s dad’s 60th birthday– right after his heart attack. I guess they’re back at it since David added the new ink!

A source told the Daily Mail that “Victoria doesn’t think David should have any more tattoos and tried to stop him having another. She likes them but wants a bit of his skin to be left, but David went ahead with it anyway.”

Gavin Rossdale has been honored with the title of “Best Celebrity Dad”! I’m sure it was a close call between Gavin Rossdale and Kevin Federline, who was graced with the “Father of the Year” Award this week by Las Vegas nightclub Prive. Ha. Which obviously represents a respected opinion on what makes for good parenting skills, right?

This time the award comes from a tabloid (only marginally better), but one thing’s definitely true: the nominees were pretty solid guys who seemed to deserve the award at least. In Touch named Ryan Philippe the runner-up for the award, with the following trailing behind: Tom Cruise, David Beckham, Adam Sandler, Jack Black, Will Smith, and Ben Affleck.

One question: where’s Brad Pitt? He has to handle twice the workload, and he does it with grace, too.
